<< Objectives >>The mission of the project is to change the situation where there is a lack of evidence-based practices in the youth work to support NEETs. The SDL4NEET project offers new evidence-based method to improve self-directed learning skills, ensuring that young people are engaged in labour market and the lifelong learning. The project combines theory, science and practice to support innovation in youth work and strengthen the position of youth work in the network around youth with fewer possibilities<< Implementation >>The project is a design-based research process where, based on previous theory and practice, an evidence-based intervention method is created and piloted by 32 NEETs. The training course curricula of SDL and training of trainers for youth workers will be created and piloted by 16 youth workers. In the co-design process, researchers, educators, youth workers and young people work together. Results are presented at different levels and forms to ensure further implementation.<< Results >>The project provides following types of main results: - SDL4NEET as intervention- TC curricula in cross-disciplinary cooperation- knowledge, skills, competencies- co-creation process of different areas and experts. Young people have received self-directed learning supportive activities that develop the skills to better define themselves as learners and shape their life path. Youth work has received an evidence-based intervention method that allows them to be a valuable network partner.
