Antoniego Abrahama,2nd Primary School of IrakliaFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2019-1-PL01-KA229-064873Funder Contribution: 35,503 EURThe project aimed at integrating the generations of teenagers and their parents and grandparents through engaging them in common education. Our students were experts for the elder people in the topic of ICT. On the other hand, student’s parents and grandparents shared the knowledge and experience by presenting for example old recipes, tips for different everyday situations. We also payed attention to the topic of safe digital devices usage. The participating schools came up with new methods for our students to be wise users of digital world. We developed good practices and shared the experiences to show alternative ways of spending their free time. Teenagers as ICT experts sharing their knowledge with their parents and grandparents had a unique occasion to build a connection between generations. We know the project elaborated practical methods and activities which could be used by any other school in Europe. The main aim of the project was to integrate generations and let them learn and teach. Developing students' skills concerning proper use of digital devices was also our concern. Students learned about each other’s countries, cities, surrounding, history, heritage, culture etc. They also presented and promoted their own countries by using different applications, social media and mainly eTwinning platform. Students’ ICT knowledge was improved and was focused on developing social communication and collaboration skills among all the participants of our project. We started our cooperation on Twinspace and thanks to this project was continued through KA2 strategic partnership. At the beginning students introduced themselves and their countries using different ICT tools. After that they did some research on ICT tools that elder people applied in their lives. Having in mind that young people tend to live in a hurry and they don’t pay attention to priority of spending at least some of their time with other people, we showed them the ways to do that. They met each other through different kinds of online communication and worked together with their teachers on searching different methods for balance in their lives. Our Twinspace is public, so other schools and students have opportunity to read and learn about all the process of our work, all the methods used for implementation of the topic of the project. All the participants got knowledge of new ICT tools and rediscovered life hacks. As the result of the project our schools have an online book with recipes, a blog with all didactic materials that promote our researches and results of all the work we did.

They were supported by the teachers of the IT classes. The pupils introduced their schools to each other. At the same time, Grade 6 students from both schools explored the theme of the fable and worked on the specific characteristics of this literary genre. At the end of this process, the selection of suitable fables took place. The pupils from Greece and Germany agreed on the structure of the joint production. They were supported in this by the theatre educators, who were also involved in a lively exchange. After the play was chosen, the respective classes began to create a comic strip that would form the basis for the textbook. In the art lessons, work was done on a logo for T-shirts. By designing such a logo, the children were to be made particularly aware of their bond with the Greek children. In addition, these T-shirts always have a strong public impact. The pupils exchanged personal gifts in the course of a small Christmas action. The Greek children had made little foxes out of clay and decorated them colourfully. The fox was supposed to be the connecting element between the individual play scenes in the production. The children from Germany expressed their gratitude with Advent calendars and self-made greeting cards. In January, the printing of the T-shirts was commissioned. Now the textbooks were finished by both the Greek and the German side. At the same time, the theatre educators exchanged ideas about possible sets and props. On 13 March, all agreements made up to that point were suspended by the Corona pandemic. The teachers kept in close contact during the time of the school closure and the possibilities of realisation under the constantly changing conditions were discussed. Unfortunately, we found that a mutual exchange was not possible even after a postponement to October. Both sides decided to shoot videos of the scenes completed by then and exchange them. This is how it was then implemented. The videos were then presented at a small closing event in compliance with the Corona measures. This event provided the children with a framework for the end of the project that, despite all the restrictions, formed a lasting memory. The videos and comics will remain lasting and can be shown at the schools for other classes and will find their way into lesson planning on the topic of ""fables"".In addition, the project was brought to the attention of other schools at an online conference of the Heidenheim Theatre Network.Despite the unusual circumstances, we can look back on a successful project."

The project is part of the Normandy Academy's policy to develop a European learning pathway from primary school to the end of high school years. It also responds to the reflection carried out by the 4 schools on the topic of inclusion and the way to live harmoniously together at school. The four schools want to: - provide every student, regardless of their geographical, social origin, or disability, with an openness to the world through an exchange with a European Partner - enable students to develop an authentic ability to live together at school and in society using sport as a tool for inclusion and social, geographical and cultural diversity, - promote the construction of European citizenship from an early age by giving pupils the opportunity to travel abroad and experience situations in which consideration and respect for differences, mutual support, solidarity and commitment are favoured.126 French and Greek pupils aged 8 to 10, in grades three to five, and 28 teachers, educational and medical school staff, are involved in the project. French students with disabilities, schooled in the Local School Integration Unit or partly cared for by the local Medical Educational Institute, as well as French and Greek students with social difficulties are fully integrated into the project: they will participate in all activities through collective and cross-sector work of the teams for optimal support and activities designed so that students can help each other and develop solidarity and commitment.Because the two French schools are engaged in the territory project ""Together, Share the Passion of the Games"", which aims at making young Normans aware of the values of Olympism as part of the 18th students Olympic Games that will take place in Normandy in May 2022 and because the two Greek schools have developed inclusive sports practices, the project will be based on the theme of sport, a tool for integration and inclusion. The project's activities will be carried out both within the eTwinning space of the project and when the pupils meet. All the activities related to learning about others, their school, their territory, their region and country will bring an opening to the world to the students and enable them to identify what differentiates and what brings together the two partner countries. These encounters will contribute to the construction of European citizenship among young pupils . The specific work on the history of the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games, on the symbols of Olympism as well as the meetings with the high-level French and Greek athletes who sponsor the 4 schools will facilitate the students' understanding of the values in sport. The sports activities of the project in which all pupils, including students with disabilities, will participate, will enable them to put into practice the values of mutual help, solidarity, team spirit, respect for differences on which they have debated before. This project, in which students will have to organize activities taking into account the difficulties of classmates with disabilities will help them to develop a citizen attitude , greater openness to others and self-confidence that will make them consider mobility as an opportunity to discover other people and cultures. We hope that the project will make school inclusion a reality in all areas, including mobility, and that inclusion will become an asset for schools and pupils who will make it live in classrooms, schools and territories. The concrete results are the full participation of socially disadvantaged or disabled students in all project activities through close collaboration by teaching teams, socio-medical teams, specialist educators and families. The focus here is inclusion and equity in schooling. The entire educational Community of the 4 schools will be mobilized around this central objective. Schools involved in the project will develop new skills in welcoming specific needs audiences: the result will be an increase in the number of special needs students integrated into learning activities and extracurricular activities, including mobility, in the 4 schools."

We can see the effect of obesity on lack of interest and participation to sport activities and PE classes. Along with the study we made in our school, we found out that our students have high BMI and they are getting lost in the virtual environment of the technology world instead of taking part in physical activities. Increase in stress and anxiety, alienation have been up to significant levels on the children who are in front of the screens away from sport activities. As educators, we need to prepare our pupils to have a healthy growth and development. We need to take WHO’s physical activity suggestions into consideration and prepare action plans including daily 60 minutes of exercise and 3 days a week muscle and bone developing activities for pre and post school children. We, after that, should take it on international scale and adapt the changing sport activities to our lives.OBJECTIVES• Taking preventive measures and risk decreasing approaches in early stage of life•Controlling and reducing high BMI among teenagers•Motivating students to take part in physical activities and exchanging experiences on outdoor activities in all countries and adapting them to their lives.•Decreasing the level of stress, anxiety and alienation •Having a balanced growth and development•Preparing action plans including 60 minutes school and after school activities (prepared by WHO for children 5-17 years) and taking it on international scale•Reducing the overweight and its risks from 19% to 15% for the first year and below 10% for the second year•Creating awareness regarding different healthy lifestyles in the EUNUMBER and PROFILE of the PARTICIPANTSEach short-term exchange mobility will include the participation of 16 students(age range between10-15) and 8teachers, and totally 80 students and 40 teachers will take part in all mobilities.Students will be selected regarding transparent criteria (computer and language skills, peer and teamwork ability, availability and adaptability)ACTIVITIESLTTA1-TR-Seminar: “Diabetes Among the Young”/Atkins Diet/Bring your own food/Fundamentals of Healthy Life/Probiotics/Folk remediesLTTA2-HU- Vienna Decleration/Stop Being Couch Potato/Mobile Apps/Homemade Products/“Consumerism culture” Seminar/Diet bookLTTA3-GR-Mediterrenean Diet/Meditation activity/Mobile Apss/Trekking/Pitching a tent(Skill)/Cooking Class/Healthy Tips Book/magazineLTTA4-ES- Swedish Diet / Yoga /Wellbeing and Health/ Graffiti/Local Herbs BookLTTA5-PL-European Food and Nutrition Action Plan /Dash diet /Creating GOAT mascot/Recipe Book/magazineMETHODOLOGYThe methodology to be used in carrying out at the project is basically student-centered and cooperative learning and learning through experience. In addition, different assessment methods (evaluation and feedback forms, preliminary and final and satisfaction survey)are used to evaluate implementation, management and dissemination of the project. The success of the mobility is measured comparatively against the results and level of satisfaction of students who gained the HEALTYH LIFE awareness.RESUTLS and IMPACTSWe foresee a number of long-term benefits of our project as a result of numerous of activities and workshops such as developing action plans including 60 minutes curricular and extra-curricular activities, taking preventive measures in order to mitigate risks(individual – family – school and around based), combining well-being with sport, outdoor activities, information for the parents, “Healthy Students & Happy Schools”, presenting “Vienna Declaration on Nutrition and European Food and Nutrition Action Plans”, “Stop Being Couch Potato and Sedentary Life”, creating a GOAT Mascot (Goats are dynamic animals which represent healthy and organic life), healthy minds, healthy diets (Mediterranean / DASH / Atkins / Weight Watcher / Swedish), “Bring Your Own Food” campaign, growing up vegetables, finding the best mobile apps.CONCRETE results are questionnaires, logo, website, social media tools, Etwinning page, handbook for children in 5 languages including Healthy Tips, Local Remedies Book, Local Herbs Book, Recipe Book, diet Book, recorded video clips of cooking classes, sport offers, prepared adequately to the age of pupils.Treatments after diagnosing the illnesses create financial and emotional costs. When we manage to regulate the basic factors such as nutrition, physical activities, and weight, we can get more effective result on chronic illnesses rather than treating them. Maintaining a healthy life may not always be easy. Yet, this should never be an excuse to give up on our efforts. We can continue to have a healthy, happy and hopeful life only if we reduce the risks that are threatening our well-being. A life with the least amount of risks and threats is an invaluable present for our beloved and ourselves"
