The ORs are French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, Reunion Island and Saint-Martin (France), Azores and Madeira (Portugal), and the Canary Islands (Spain). FUTOR will enable young citizens to use digital technologies to envision and bring forward desired futures through systemic thinking and interaction with others using digital art as a means of self-expression and engagement. This work will be facilitated by middle and high school teachers, who will themselves become part of a Life Long Learning process becoming more and more familiar with digital technologies and the creative use of social media for disseminating the outcomes of students’ projects.FUTOR delivers a combination of digital and physical activities, designed to address the COVID-19 situation. The collection of “baseline” imagery, footage and description will take place in the physical word, giving the students the much needed physical activity that can be conducted in very small groups or even individually - as the pandemic situation allows. Focusing on the immediate surroundings, documenting the state of the natural environment (or other phenomena such as the state of an object of interest or the community/society at large) in the immediate neighbourhood does not necessitate long travels. This individual work is then followed by group interaction and discussion, but through digital means and social media interacting with a large group of co-workers and team members. The project will start with a mobilisation campaign, relying on the project partners’ well-established school networks to engage with schools and teachers. This mobilisation campaign will coincide with perparatory phase of the project (first twelve months) during which IT frameworks will be developed and the exercises will be conceptualised. The Futures Thinking concept will be converted into guidelines for teachers that are meant to develop critical problem solving skills, critical reflection and scientifically sound solutions within digital art. It goes against the myth of creativity and science being separate, instead it guides students to capitalize on reliable information, co-create a realistic vision and collaborate on implementation. Teacher participants recruited at this stage will later act as mentors in guiding learners, facilitation of online collaboration through wikis, dissemination on social media, selection of an in situ project for implementation and planning and execution of local team effort.Following the conceptualisation and recruitment phase, the second phase (Year 2) will foresee the deployment of several Pilots in Europe’s ORs (the aim is to recruit at least 10 schools). Each Pilots will be implemented in three Execution Phases (EPs):EP1: guiding students to identify a local environmental cause or concern they wish to address and develop their projects about. Partners shall closely coordinate during the process as Team Wikis will be set up.EP2: focuses on inter-school collaboration across the ORs at learner level. After completing an online short course on the risks of social media use students are encouraged to connect on social media using their personal or - if applicable - institutional accounts as well as directly on their allocated Team Wiki pages. Imagery and/or footage of their local natural environments to be restored and/or preserved are uploaded onto the Team Wikis in a ‘before/after fashion’. Edits are to be carried out in consultation with team members and supervising teachers reflecting individual creativity, group input and scientific soundness. Creativity shall be encouraged and valued while respecting the integrity of local ecosystems. Team Wiki pages - and thus EP2 - are complete once each participant has finalized their before/after imagery/footage and the teams have co-edited a text documenting their know-how of their particular projects on their Team Wikis. EP3: guides students to collaborate on a local scale using know-how gained through international inter-school collaboration in EP2. It involves reorganizing students into local Action Teams and identifying one or more local environmental causes or concern of manageable magnitude and level of difficulty that students are interested in pursuing. EP3, in preparation for sustainability of results and future upgrades, also includes the documenting of students’ actions through the creation of ARIS open source software documentaries. The immediate impact of the project will be two-fold:- FUTOR will empower secondary school teachers with new pedagogical methods, tools and instruments contributing to the important life-long learning ambitions of this stakeholder group.- FUTOR will empower students and young people with the power of systemic futures thinking expressed as digital art, contributing to the improvement of digital literacy of this stakeholder group.

By doing so, project beneficiaries are mostly young people coming from fragile economic and social background, remote areas or areas with high level of pollution. Project is mostly focusing NGO representatives working on topic of environment. Project is targeting specific countries of Europe (Portugal, Spain and Macedonia) and Asia (Malyasia) that are able to exchange good practices, knowledge and experiences in developing green economies.Sustainable development requires European responses. Individual actions, whilst beneficial, will not alone be sufficient to address global sustainability issues such as environmental protection. If we are to create a sense of collective responsibility, then learning will have to play a key role. Learning can add value to this by providing collective messages that all learners can engage with. Without such a sense of collective response then small scale individual actions can become increasingly inadequate and result in apathy rather than positive hope.Due to the all mentioned advantages and disadvantages of the mentioned countries and organizations that used to cooperate with each other in different projects, there was recognized strong need for this project. Therefor the project will work directly on improving general understanding on topic such as : building sustainable practices, exchange of knowledge and good practices in environmental protection, role of young people in more responsible resources exploitation and above all, there was recognized high need of starting a network that would be working on mentioned topics in following years. The project will include eight activities including EVS in Malaysia and Macedonia."

In trainings, various types of digital devices are used. This includes desktop PCs, laptops, notebooks, Chromebooks, tablets, covertibles and smartphones. We call them “Multiple Devices”. They enable the use of technology enhanced trainings with an implementation of multimedia-based and interactive (M&I) training materials. This sounds simple – the problem is the delivery of content so that it is displayed (and can be used by the trainees) on all types of devices. Another issue (in this context) is the creating of high-quality multimedia-based and interactive (M&I) content – especially in smaller Adult Education organisations. The project serves to exchange experiences and to develop digital skills, especially in the multimedia area within the staff of the participating organisations. Furthermore, the development and use of M&I learning materials should be worked out together, brought into context with multiple devices and developed in a comprehensive documentation. A special focus is put on methodology and approaches to support seniors in this digital-oriented learning and trainings. Furthermore, the organisations will use the gained experience and knowledge to promote Erasmus+ programs - and in this sence especially courses - to all generations in their home countries. The project aims to increase the knowledge and skills in the participating organizations to create and use M&I content, with particular attention to multiple devices and a specific focus to seniors..The project’s objectives are planned to achieve the goals described.* Analyses of the use of multiple devices in Adult Education courses. This analysis does not exist for Adult Education currently. * Analyses and testing of the possibilities (tools) to create interactive and multimedia-based content (dependent of the course environments)* Analyses of possible platforms that support creating interactive and multimedia content.(Moodle is the standard here, but also alternative options, like some populas and easy-to-use Content Management Systems (like WordPress) as a learning platform will be analysed.* Establishment and set up of a community of adult education institutions, which uses multiple devices as well as they develop strategies to develop multimedia-based and interactive training materials.Four Adult Aducation (AE) organisations, well distributed in Europe and with complementary profiles will cooperate in this project: * EBI/EIE is an AE focusing on older people, established in a small town/rural environment (Austria); * AJITER focuses on younger people on a remote place (Azores, Portugal); * Brainlog is involved in AE in near context with authorities in a bigger city in Denmark, and * EuphoriaNet is a business-oriented AE organization in a European capital town (Rome, Italy). The planned activities focus on a practical case study about the versatile use of Multiple Devices, an analyses of available Multimedia & Interactive freeware tools, their usability and possible utilization for planning and developing training content (including the development of examples/pilots). Also, an analysis of possible learning platforms - as described above - will be done. Finally, the findings will be summarized in an “implementation guide”. A special focus is put to develop methodologies that support seniors best.Parallel to these activities networking will be undertaken to create a community of interested Adult Education providers in Europe. An ePale group will work as the core instrument to create this community. The methodology to achieve the desired results will be based on a cloud-based working platform where the content will be developed; ideas will be published there and developed in a joint group process using the classical tools like comments and suggestions. Physical transnational and virtual meetings will be part of the creation process. The project’s result will be several documents summarizing the findings with a central document, the “Implementation Guide for M&I based trainings using Multiple Devices”. Material will be published web-based as PDF end ePub but also in a printed version in English language. The impact of the project to partners and stakeholdes will be the competences to create efficient technology-enhanced trainings (using Multiple Devices and M&I tools) for the participating organisations and the upbuild community. The long-term benefits of the project will be the chance of further development of M&I based on the project findings. The availability of appropriate free tools paired with the knowledge of their use and the competence to deliver the M&I based content equally on all currently available devices is the starting point of further developments and amendments in AE trainings.
