SEED is designed to ensure the successful launching of a highly visible and sustainable European-level award scheme rewarding innovative solutions that demonstrate a significant impact on the quality of life of the ageing population. The new award scheme will rely upon a carefully prepared conceptual and operational approach. A positive narrative will be developed suitable to effectively mobilise a wide range of stake holders across Europe. An appropriate organisational and technical infrastructure will be developed and set up, right from the beginning with a view to enabling a smooth hand-over by the SEED consortium to the party supposed to sustain the award scheme after the ending of the EU-funded project duration. It is envisaged that the award scheme will be maintained under the auspice of the recently launched European Covenant on Demographic Change. Sustainability and long-term visibility will also be ensured by the development of a viable sponsoring concept and business model. With the EU Covenant as a host and through the involvement of a great diversity of key networks and fora, this action will thrive towards a sustainable and multi-stakeholder driven movement at a European scale. The operational outreach into such a wide geographic area will not only be guaranteed by a carefully tailored communication and innovation strategy, but also by the active involvement of key players such as AGE, CORAL, AAL JP, all EIP AHA Action Groups, ECHAlliance, ASHOKA, ERRIN, DigitalEurope, EuroCarers, the Assembly of European Regions and highly committed regional/local governments. Through this unique partnership, the proposed action will have direct outreach to thousands of multiplier entities which together again reach out to millions of individuals across the EU. Towards the end of SEED, a high level award ceremony will be organised awarding winners of the 1st edition of the new award scheme.

SINFONICA aims to develop functional, efficient, and innovative strategies, methods and tools to engage CCAM users, providers and other stakeholders (i.e. citizens, including vulnerable users, transport operators, public administrations, service providers, researchers, vehicle and technology suppliers) to collect, understand and structure in a manageable and exploitable way their needs, desires, and concerns related to CCAM. SINFONICA will co-create final decision support tools for designers and decision makers to enhance the CCAM seamless and sustainable deployment, to be inclusive and equitable for all citizens.

GREENGAGE’s vision is to promote innovative governance and help public authorities in shaping their climate mitigation and adaptation policies by engaging with citizens to co-create green initiatives and to develop Citizen Observatories (CO), focusing on mobility, air quality and healthy living supporting the delivery of carbon neutral neighbourhoods. The pan-European research innovation action will develop innovative governance process deploying digital solutions to transform citizen’s engagement and cities’ effectiveness in delivering European Green Deal objectives for carbon neutral cities. Green and digital transformation to carbon neutral cities will be promoted via two interrelated project dimensions. First the enhancement of intelligence applied to city decision making process and governance by engaging with citizen observations integrated with Copernicus, GEOSS, in-situ and socio-economic intelligence, and delivered by innovative governance models based on novel toolboxes of decision-making methodologies and technologies. Second by harnessing the social and cultural opportunities to promote the active engagement of citizens via COs in the collection and use of urban decision-making intelligence supportThe project will achieve the above vision by facilitating citizens to observe and co-create their cities by sensing their urban environments that will complement, validate and enrich information held by the public administrations and/or environment agencies derived from remote sensing data and obtained via other authoritative observations. This enhanced and evidence-based information will be used for smart urban governance including policy evaluation, policy making and decision making. GREENGAGE increases societal awareness by showcasing the environmental challenges (climate change, poor air quality, healthy living) through ‘as-is’ state of the urban environment, highlighting the information and other gaps in the authoritative data held by the public administ
