V.Funder: European Commission Project Code: 2020-1-CZ01-KA229-078401Funder Contribution: 149,400 EURCONTEXTOur partnership of five completely different and far away countries has been created out of the desire of all the schools involved to contribute more significantly to the personal and professional development of their students, improving their critical and creative thinking, promoting an entrepreneurial mindset that will serve them and their communities in the future years. In a century in which creativity, innovation, critical thinking and digital competences are the key to success, we consider it our mission to guide and support students in acquiring them.3 of the schools have vocational profiles –MK, CZ and PL, while the other 2 have a general education profile. This will make the Erasmus+ experience even more meaningful, by providing us with different approaches to entrepreneurship. We will gain an insight into local economies and needs and our students will collaborate in order to meet those needs. Although we are part of the EU, we come from diverse places where we will encounter different social and economic contexts, different needs and interests. This makes this opportunity even more rewarding and appealing.PARTICIPANTSThrough this initiative, we address a target group of 500 students aged 15-18, including both boys and girls, 30% of whom come from challenged backgrounds, low-income families or dismembered families.100 students aged 15-18 will be directly involved in the exchanges, as participants, and as host students. There will be 5 students and 2 accompanying teachers from each country who will attend each exchange, which means 20 students and 8 teachers per school and overall 100 students and 40 teachers will have been attended to exchange meetings. OBJECTIVES1. to enable the participants to get acquainted with new cultures and develop their intercultural competence2. to develop students’ entrepreneurial mindset by providing them with the context for developing joint business ideas, thus improving the transition to the business world 3. to improve the soft skills of students in order to facilitate their professional development – critical and analytical thinking, communication, creativity etc., thus improving their transition to the world of work4.to improve students’ self-confidence in unfamiliar contexts and their language skills5. to improve the school’s European dimension through collaboration with other schools and transfer of best practices MAIN ACTIVITIESWe have planned 5 student exchanges in this project, during which students will meet their peers, learn about specifics of local economies, meet entrepreneurs and visit local businesses. The practical side consists of students’ collaborative work in order to produce innovative business ideas suitable for the local economies of the partner schools which will then be adapted to students’ own local needs. The topics of the exchanges are:1. C1 – Spanish economy and startups in agriculture 2. C2 – Polish economy and startups in PL 3. C3 – Macedonia economy and startups in small scale manufacturing enterprises 4. C4 – Turkish economy and startups in the beauty industry5. C5 – Czech Nation economy and startups in outdoor activities and sportsRESULTSThe results consist of: presentations about local economies in the 5 partner countries, student-made brochures about local businesses, 20 startup business ideas and business plans developed by multicultural teams of students, evaluation forms for business plans completed by entrepreneurs, workshop materials, students’ testimonials, initial and final evaluation, feedback forms, self-assessment forms, project brochure “Business ideas for students”, project website, eTwinning space, 137 Europass mobility documents and certificates of attendance, 5 interim reports and final reports. The outcomes consist of an increased capacity of students to integrate professionally in the field of business and work, increased competence of school educators to facilitate the transition of students to the world of work/business and the increased relevance of schools for the 21st century needs.IMPACTThe project will impact the school on different levels:- development of human resources - development of partnerships with local businesses- development of European collaboration at the institutional and personal levels. - promotion of the schools in local communities and European communities- strengthened relationship with local authorities- improvement of the project management capacity of all partner schools- promotion of the school as a key factor in the professional guidance of students

To reach our goals with more self-confidence thinking about the possibilities in Europe. This is how one could summarize the objective of our project. The students should take more responsibility for their own lives and believe more in their own strengths. For this reason, we, teachers from six European schools (Poland, Portugal, Croatia, Latvia, Germany and the Czech Republic), have joined forces to support students aged 11 to 17 in a joint project to discover and try out their talents and abilities through the exchange of knowledge and experience. Because active, motivated people with European life experience have higher chances of success in life. Our common goal was to teach the students how to build bridges - bridges to people from other backgrounds, cultures, to people of older generations and to people with different stories and history. In order for a bridge to be stable, you have to make careful preparations together. You need a plan, the terrain needs to be tested, foundations poured, and then piers set. Only then can a bridge be built from one bank to the other. That's why our students should first get to know themselves, strengthen their self-confidence and discover their strengths. How was this to be done? In extracurricular projects, contacts were established with local institutions where students gained new experiences. This was done in the form of volunteer work and social commitment for example, by helping elderly people, by supporting the local community, but also in sports clubs or youth centers. These valuable experiences were shared with friends from other European countries and passed on to them. With the help of the game ""Great Journey of Discovery"" (based on the 7 steps to increase effectiveness for young people by Sean Covey) the students should discover their own talents. They should use the ""Share your talent"" activity to present the discovered talents to others and motivate them to also embark on the ""Great Journey of Discovery"". The students were asked to share their (newly discovered) talents in workshops and they filmed their experiences for ""tutorials"" and presented them on the project's homepage and on our Twinspace site. Another goal of the project was to strengthen and expand digital and media abilities and to promote foreign language skills among teachers and students. Language tests were conducted, language diaries were kept and certificates were taken. It was important for the participating teachers to learn about differences in education and school systems, to benefit from each other and to take ""best practices"" back to their own schools. The project also involved the school institution, families of students and local partners. The students who participated in the project belong to the secondary level. There were students who were directly involved in the project and other people who have been indirectly part of the project: Pupils, but also teachers and extracurricular partners (together about 400). In order to achieve the above-mentioned goals, we carried out activities for 30 months and produced handicraft as well as media products, e.g. ""tutorials"", multimedia presentations, films, commercials, photo exhibitions. There were 5 learning, teaching or training activities in 5 partner countries where they presented what they experienced and learned in their own countries and taught what they learned to the partners from the other countries. Unfortunately, the Covid19 pandemic changed the schedule a lot: the project had to be extended by 6 months, Germany could not attend the 5th meeting and the 6th meeting had to be held virtually. Progress was measured, analyzed and evaluated regularly; necessary changes were made and documented. Dissemination was carried out as planned, but with data protection limitations. The results of the project were partly integrated into the school curricula of the partner schools, and the contacts gained were further cultivated and used in new projects and partnerships. If a bridge is stable and strong, it leads over the widest rivers, over the deepest valleys and lasts for a very long time. We have built European bridges together with our students!"
