As young people are the main users of social media nowadays and as 2020 is the new digital era there is a need to increase the digital awareness of youth and develop their skills in IT and other technology contexts, increasing their knowledge and active participation in the activities of DCD Project and in their societies in general. Young people are the future digital leaders and entrepreneurs as youth entrepreneurship and digitalization are of the main priorities of the European Union for 2020-2021. The project aims also to introduce young adults to the concept of open data allowing them to learn and experiment with open data, corresponding to their own needs. The digital natives of today are the data literates of tomorrow. On top of that, it’s also an age group that starts to invest their own development and self-actualisation. The natives themselves and society can benefit from it. By making the open data topic understandable for youth, young people can easily experiment through interactive video series, animated clips, expert interviews and then more and more young people might try to cross the open data bridge. They can point out problems, select data based on their needs and give creative input on how to transform all this into an application. It’s important that open data become truly open to young people, as this will lead towards more and better use of it. Addressing young adults in a visual, interactive and non-linear manner, is a good way to make open data easy approachable. So, it is a must to transform digital natives into open data literates. The project will bring together 6 partners from 6 different countries (UK, CY, IT, SI, LT, IS) wishing to strengthen youth digital entrepreneurship. The main activities of the project are:1. To make national groups of experts in the LOD management for cultural activities, involving young people in order to improve and develop their digital skills concerning IT skills and data management. The experts groups will be trained through pilot courses that will test and explore open data experiments at national level improving the curriculum of young adults for the management of the LOD in the field of cultural activities. The curriculum aims to promote educational and professional mobility, starting in the countries Partners and then the disseminate the impact in other countries too. 2. To explore museum activities, libraries and archives or other pilot projects for empowering youth in management of cultural experiences also implemented through LOD, with the set up of thematic cultural digital skills and tools. The activities will involve groups of young people, invited to set up specific digital and cultural competences. The activities will start during the project and will be structurally embedded into the cultural institutions and programmes triggering benchmarking processes.3. Implementation and open data organization processes and development of cultural awareness in different sectors. For each Partner Country the level of specific intervention area will be identified.4. Development of a European network for youth organizations working in cultural and technology fields for the continuous development of innovation with particular attention to innovation and online cultural and digital services.5. Improving usability and attractiveness of virtual cultural experiences between virtual and physical experience, involving user groups in testing phases. Particular attention will be given to the involvement of schools, arts academies that will proactively participate to the design and implementation of users activities (in particular those one addressing educational and training activities).Impact on youth:• Enable understanding of EU culture diversity, needs and values;• Explore and test their digital skills;• Acquired tools for cultural needs in local communities;• Promote personal development, youth entrepreneurship and leadership;• Enable a full understanding about EU diverse cultures, values and the new digital era 'Digital Europe';Impact at national and EU level: - Increased ICT skills and knowledge of young people;- Raise awareness about cultural needs of local communities through awareness of needed cultural and digital skills and qualifications gained through their participation in the developed of ICT trainings and courses;-Facilitated recognition of the online courses, modules and the methodology by formal structures and institutions, depending on the national priorities and commitments;-tackle the digital skills gap in Europe coherent and comprehensive support for building up the digital skills needed to support reskilling and upskilling in Europe.

As part of the EU Integrated Maritime Policy (2012), it aims to strengthen the potential for jobs and growth of EU's seas. This requires investing in a well-skilled workforce to meet the labour market needs. However, coastal communities are often isolated with limited access to technology, public infrastructure, training opportunities, lack of financial resources for local start-ups, lack of coherent marketing strategies and the inability to diversify activities to overcome seasonality, which limit the sector’s capacity to create sustainable jobs. Various EU studies emphasise that the maritime industry does not currently provide to professionals the potential for different careers opportunities in the sector.PESCAVET’s main objective is to create favourable conditions for increased opportunities for sustainable entrepreneurship in the pesca-tourism sector and to contribute to the development of coastal communities in the Mediterranean and Black sea basins. The main target group addressed are professionals either currently employed in or/and unemployed desiring to enter the pesca-tourism sector wishing to develop their competences. The latter is a relatively new concept of fisheries related tourism aiming to support the supplement incomes of fishermen and their families and to provide knowledge on mechanisms for creating attractive activities for tourists visiting the coast. The project aims to contribute to society awareness about the problems of the marine sector and traditional fishing culture and to the improvement of entrepreneurial skills via the implementation of a benchmark exercise on new processes and marketing techniques for designing, promoting and review of products or services in pesca-tourism (IO1), the creation of a Gateway for technical support with specific training and coaching activities (IO2) and the development of an e-course on enhancing entrepreneurial skills in pesca-tourism (IO3).The PESCAVET project brings together 4 partners from 4 countries in the Mediterranean and Black Sea basins (LV, IT, CY, BG), dealing with Blue Economy, providing a coherent response to the challenges faced by the sector, complementing existing initiatives developed by various stakeholders. The total number of people, who will benefit from or will be targeted via the project activities during its duration, is moderately estimated at approximately 5000 people. Partners in each country will aim to achieve, as much as possible, the number of such beneficiaries and, in general, of people informed about the project, its objectives and results attained. It is expected that this will contribute towards greater awareness of the issues with opportunities to develop the needed competences for the up skilling of professionals working and/or wishing to enter the blue economy sectors. The implementation of the aforementioned actions is expected to result in the:• Change the way of thinking of different communities in the Mediterranean area and Black Sea, to a more comprehensive approach, establishing the pesca-tourism concept in one of the most attractive areas in Europe;• Boost the sustainable economic growth of the European maritime sectors, upgrading the services of the marine environment, its resources and the cultural heritage in the most sustainable way.• Improvement of the employ ability skills related to fisheries related tourism and competences of professionals planning to choose a career path in this field;• Increased awareness of pesca-tourism potential and increased visibility and attractiveness of blue career opportunities not only for professionals but for the wider public;• Increase of the awareness of benefits from the modernisation and transformation of the pescatourism sector for society and the local economies;• Building and strengthening partnerships between the organisations participating in the project; This project will also include 4 transnational project meetings that will contribute to the preparation, implementation and evaluation phase of the project. All information gathered and the promotion of the project itself will then be uploaded on the Gateway. Multiplier events and a joint staff training are also foreseen. Furthermore, the Consortium will deliver an Action Plan for presenting the project results offered for further valorisation of PESCAVET and specific recommendations for further development of new training courses and the PESCAVET Gateway sustainability.Considering that the identified challenges and needs regard not only the participating countries in specific, but the majority of EU countries and that the efforts of the EC targeting the maritime sector aim the whole of the EU, the aim of the project should be treated trans nationally.

Schools are an essential factor for introducing environmental awareness from the early age and to promote sustainability based on a holistic school approach. As hubs of communities, schools can help to transform markets, policy, education, and behavior, increase community resilience, mitigate climate change, and prepare citizens to think and act in new, creative and eco-friendly ways. Green Schools Alliance envisions a world where every person is aware of and accountable for the impact they have in creating an environmentally, economically, and equitably sustainable future while bringing together environmental education and community engagement. The aim of the environmental education is to encourage students to adopt eco-friendly practices into daily school life and consequently in their daily lives. CLIMATE BRIDGE focuses on developing new learning methodologies in the field of education-related activities concentrated on active environmental involvement by empowering students, school teachers, school leaders, teacher trainers, adult education professionals working with youngsters. The project intends to develop a holistic framework to boost the acquisition and development of global and transversal skills and competences on environmental/climate change related topics, among students and teachers/ educators and to increase critical thinking skills, consciousness & responsibility for enabling behavioural changes for individual preferences, consumption habits, and lifestyles to students. The consortium embraces the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which is an urgent call for action by all countries, respecting the European Green Deal for the efficient use of resources by moving to a clean, circular economy that restores biodiversity. CLIMATE BRIDGE will address the need of promoting environmental education in the educational system and will suggest ways to combat this environmental crisis through a change in people's lifestyle. By creating innovative tools and interactive material for the educational professionals, students will be engaged in the environmental sustainability and be inspired about their way of living. CLIMATE CHANGE will contribute to the achievement of SDG 13, and other European climate goals, including being climate neutral and omitting zero green-house gasses by 2050.<< Objectives >>Europe's attempt to create critical-thinking European citizens through education systems should incorporate today's emerging problems which have a direct impact on the quality of life. Eco-Schools is a growing phenomenon, which encourages young people to engage in their environment by allowing them the opportunity to actively protect it. It starts in the classroom; it expands to the school and eventually fosters change in the community at large. A holistic view of sustainability in schools. Ecological, social, and environmental contents of sustainability are not entirely novel ideas in the world of education. However, the educational process does not seem to be able to create the conditions which will lead to a new visual and awakening of the school teachers, students, school leaders, teacher trainers, adult education professionals working with young people concerning environmental problems and sustainable development. A common issue in executing education for sustainable development is that there isn’t a systematic approach. Teachers do not have to be familiar with one another’s work and good ideas often are not shared. Sustainability education may come down to individual teachers, making it that much more vulnerable. For that reason, it could be a good idea to implement the continuous quality improvement model for sustainability education. On the other hand, the approach to an integrated way of daily living through contact with nature is far away from the everyday school reality, even more from secondary school. Students spend the majority of their day in a school building during their most crucial developmental years. In this time of pivotal growth, schools must be a space for creative thinking, a source of inspiration, and a starting point for developing a sense of awareness and responsibility. The journey to that goal begins with educating students in a healthy and sustainable environment. That’s why sustainable schools are important; so that to give students the educational program, physical place, and organizational culture to encourage the development of environmentally conscious global citizens. The school community should be awakened and sensitized. Not only through limited action groups and volunteering, but through a theoretical approach, development of textbooks, arguments, examples, case studies, vodcasts and participation of students and teachers. A whole-school action is more likely to obtain buy-in if the goals and priorities, as well as the strategies designed to achieve those goals, are perceived as relevant and valid by members of the local community. This is why schools should consider aligning their sustainable development and climate action to local community needs. Examples of schools or institutions implementing similar actions in Europe must be taken seriously. The educational community has to be able to use supportive tools which will lead to reflections through both theory and practice in the daily learning process. In addition to the theoretical training material to be developed, our goal is that students be able to change their daily lifestyle in terms of their contact with nature and respecting the environment through a series of concrete good practices. The central idea of CLIMATE BRIDGE is to create a holistic environmental approach in adolescents, to awaken about sustainable development and quality of life. It aims at: -Creating awareness-raising European citizens regarding the environment through the education system-Empowering students, school teachers, school leaders, teacher trainers, adult education professionals working with youngsters-Informing about health & environment in communities-Developing critical thinking about future personal and social consequences concerning nature and the environment.<< Implementation >>During the project all partners in collaboration will contribute to the implementation of all activities so to meet project’s objectives. Farah,ENOROS CONSULTING LIMITEDFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2021-1-PL01-KA220-ADU-000035224Funder Contribution: 120,992 EUR<< Background >>The European way of life is an inclusive one. Integration and inclusion are keys for people coming to EU, for local communities, and for the long-term well-being of our societies and the stability of our economies. This means empowering those facing disadvantages, while ensuring our communities are united and cohesive. It means giving equal opportunities to all to enjoy their rights and participate in community and social life, regardless of the background and in line with the European Pillar of Social Rights. It also means respecting common EU values as enshrined in the EU Treaties and in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU, including democracy, the rule of law, the freedoms of speech and religion, as well as the rights to equality and non-discrimination. These fundamental values are an essential part of living and participating in EU society. The challenge of integration and inclusion is particularly relevant for migrants, not only newcomers but sometimes also for TCNs who might have naturalised and are EU citizens. The Action plan on Integration and Inclusion 2021-2027 stated the need for continuing development of skills and competences related with appreciation of cultural diversity, including respect for the persons with a migrant background because multiculturalism and diversity are not always accepted by some members of host societies. The need for fighting discrimination and racism and ensuring decent treatment in the workplace it’s a crucial concern that must be addressed. Based on the fact that Education for all is the basis for achieving a mild social integration of the new coming members of the society as well as a harmonic co-existence with the local members of it, BRICS aims to better prepare and deploy the education and training of professionals who work with migrants and for confronting equity, diversity and inclusion challenges in the society as well as to promote the integration of migrants.Teachers find themselves struggling to deal with the culturally diverse classroom. Although the experience can be enriching, many teachers find they are unexposed, unprepared and unequipped to address the challenges of cultural diversity. Inadequate policies in relation to integration and education of migrants also impede teachers, educators, school administrators, and migrant communities in finding coordinated, innovative solutions. The project will explore these gaps and develop the tools to address these various needs.Since the needs are common between EU countries, the transnational character of the project will produce valid tools that could be transferable and applied in other EU contexts with minor modifications and added benefits. The consortium consists of 5 partners countries (Poland, Cyprus, Italy, Slovakia, Spain) and were brought together to capitalize and build on each other’s knowledge and experience from best practices in their national context, for future circulation and transfer of know-how in their daily tasks. The majority of partners have previous experience in European projects and their role is considered crucial for the project implementation based on its scope and its wide network. This project meets the need of the organizations to foster thei staff skills, exchange best practices with other EU countries and produce innovative educational resources that can be useful on a daily basis. BRICS will have positive impact on all organisations and their staff that will be involved, as they will further enhance their background in terms of understanding the actual needs of immigrants. The new tools and methodologies that will be developed will be utilized by all participating organizations for the target group, while the exchange of know-how and good practices among all partners and also between the consortium and external stakeholders, will enrich their expertise and allow them to serve better the needs of these target groups.<< Objectives >>BRICS aims to improve the social inclusion of immigrants through the development and improvement of their competences (social, cultural, values, organizational, educational, etc.). The consortium’s goals involve a great strategic challenge, as it will develop innovative digital products, foster learning and develop joint initiatives, and exchange experiences; since in each one of the countries of the consortium, diverse policies are applied and different inclusion resources exist. The partnership is aware that migration is a phenomenon that is part of European history and part of the cities of the consortium. The proposal understands social integration as an essential element and as a permanent multidirectional process of creating a new common ground to live together. BRICS aims to invest in this goal in connection with the project results’ sustainability. BRICS points out that it is necessary to change and adapt all types of public services: housing, admission to the labor market and education programs according to the immigrants’ needs. This heterogeneity that migrations entail, added to the variety of reception contexts, generates the need to create realistic social inclusion strategies that are open to different territories, profiles and needs due to the diverse situation in regards of immigration of the participant organizations’ countries. The need for fighting discrimination and racism and ensuring decent treatment in the workplace is a crucial concern that must be addressed. Based on the fact that Education for all is the basis for achieving a mild social integration of the new coming members of the society as well as a harmonic co-existence with the local members of it, BRICS project aims to better prepare and deploy the education and training of professionals who work with migrants and for confronting equity, diversity and inclusion challenges in the society as well as to promote the integration of migrants. Therefore, the target groups of the project are professionals who work with migrants and people with a migrant background. The main goal is to facilitate the integration of migrants in the society by increasing their creativity levels, and at the same time, to improve diversity management competences of adult trainers in order to create and maintain an inclusive environment where each one of the migrants despite its nationality is able to learn and grow. A core element of our proposal is thus developing personal autonomy and intercultural competencies among adult immigrant sectors in the participating countries. We are not oblivious to the pressures that migrant populations experience in their host societies, and the emotional and mental health stress that they may be suffering. This is what is called the “Ulysses Syndrome” as described by Achotegui (2000). Thus, it is important to provide newcomers with the instruments and training that allow them to assume a functional adult role in their host society and to reduce their stress at being efficient in terms of employment and social integration. BRICS aims to produce tools geared to facilitating the knowledge and understanding of the host culture to migrant adults and to thus contribute to minimize the social gaps. Since the needs are common between EU countries, the transnational character of the project will produce valid tools that could be transferable and applied in other EU contexts with minor modifications and added benefits. The objectives of the project are: •Help professionals, adult educators reflect upon the importance of inclusive and diverse societies•teach professionals, adult educators by sharing examples of best practices of using art as a tool for inclusion of migrant groups•Provide professionals, adult educators with artistic tools and methods to help and support marginalised people’s inclusion into the community•To increase professionals, adult educators awareness about social exclusion and inclusion•Improve the supply of high qualit<< Implementation >>In parallel with the project’s research and development activities and throughout the project implementation period, a set of horizontal activities will be supported from the grant for Project Management & Implementation:A1.
