Blue economy represents 5.4 million jobs and a gross added value of just under €500 billion yearly. As part of the EU Integrated Maritime Policy (2012), it aims to strengthen the potential for jobs and growth of EU's seas. This requires investing in a well-skilled workforce to meet the labour market needs. However, coastal communities are often isolated with limited access to technology, public infrastructure, training opportunities, lack of financial resources for local start-ups, lack of coherent marketing strategies and the inability to diversify activities to overcome seasonality, which limit the sector’s capacity to create sustainable jobs. Various EU studies emphasise that the maritime industry does not currently provide to professionals the potential for different careers opportunities in the sector.PESCAVET’s main objective is to create favourable conditions for increased opportunities for sustainable entrepreneurship in the pesca-tourism sector and to contribute to the development of coastal communities in the Mediterranean and Black sea basins. The main target group addressed are professionals either currently employed in or/and unemployed desiring to enter the pesca-tourism sector wishing to develop their competences. The latter is a relatively new concept of fisheries related tourism aiming to support the supplement incomes of fishermen and their families and to provide knowledge on mechanisms for creating attractive activities for tourists visiting the coast. The project aims to contribute to society awareness about the problems of the marine sector and traditional fishing culture and to the improvement of entrepreneurial skills via the implementation of a benchmark exercise on new processes and marketing techniques for designing, promoting and review of products or services in pesca-tourism (IO1), the creation of a Gateway for technical support with specific training and coaching activities (IO2) and the development of an e-course on enhancing entrepreneurial skills in pesca-tourism (IO3).The PESCAVET project brings together 4 partners from 4 countries in the Mediterranean and Black Sea basins (LV, IT, CY, BG), dealing with Blue Economy, providing a coherent response to the challenges faced by the sector, complementing existing initiatives developed by various stakeholders. The total number of people, who will benefit from or will be targeted via the project activities during its duration, is moderately estimated at approximately 5000 people. Partners in each country will aim to achieve, as much as possible, the number of such beneficiaries and, in general, of people informed about the project, its objectives and results attained. It is expected that this will contribute towards greater awareness of the issues with opportunities to develop the needed competences for the up skilling of professionals working and/or wishing to enter the blue economy sectors. The implementation of the aforementioned actions is expected to result in the:• Change the way of thinking of different communities in the Mediterranean area and Black Sea, to a more comprehensive approach, establishing the pesca-tourism concept in one of the most attractive areas in Europe;• Boost the sustainable economic growth of the European maritime sectors, upgrading the services of the marine environment, its resources and the cultural heritage in the most sustainable way.• Improvement of the employ ability skills related to fisheries related tourism and competences of professionals planning to choose a career path in this field;• Increased awareness of pesca-tourism potential and increased visibility and attractiveness of blue career opportunities not only for professionals but for the wider public;• Increase of the awareness of benefits from the modernisation and transformation of the pescatourism sector for society and the local economies;• Building and strengthening partnerships between the organisations participating in the project; This project will also include 4 transnational project meetings that will contribute to the preparation, implementation and evaluation phase of the project. All information gathered and the promotion of the project itself will then be uploaded on the Gateway. Multiplier events and a joint staff training are also foreseen. Furthermore, the Consortium will deliver an Action Plan for presenting the project results offered for further valorisation of PESCAVET and specific recommendations for further development of new training courses and the PESCAVET Gateway sustainability.Considering that the identified challenges and needs regard not only the participating countries in specific, but the majority of EU countries and that the efforts of the EC targeting the maritime sector aim the whole of the EU, the aim of the project should be treated trans nationally.

"YESS – “YOUTH ENTERPRISE SHADOWING SCHEMES” – is a 24 months ERASMUS YOUTH project is designed to support the fight against unemployment among young people and, at the same time, influence their decision as to the career to be followed, by enriching their understanding of the practical sides of entrepreneurship and self-employment, through engaging them in so-called “Enterprise Shadowing Scheme” (E.S.), which in many countries have proven to constitute quite effective educational processes. The YESS project’s objectives, activities and expected results are compatible with the needs and requirements laid forth in the “Education and Training 2020” (ET 2020) strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training as well as in the Entrepreneurship 2020 Action Plan. Another important European framework that the project’s activities will respond to, is ""Europe 2020 Strategy"", enhancing creativity and innovation, including entrepreneurship. The YESS partnership is composed of four (4) partners from four (4) countries: Poland (Coordinator), Italy, Cyprus and Greece. In all these countries, youth unemployment constitute a very high percentage in most cases the youth unemployment rate is more than double the overall unemployment rate. The main expected results are: (a) Mapping and Assessment of Νational Enterprise Shadowing Practices and Reports (IO1) (b) Enterprise Shadowing Methodology, Training Materials, Guides and Tools (IO2); (c) Digital Training Content and customised YESS E-learning Platform (IO3). The FABUSS project will implemented in 4 phases, structured in a way so as to ensure effective linkages and complementarity among its various activities. These phases are: • Phase 1: Mapping and Assessment • Phase 2: Development of Training Materials and Enterprise Shadowing methodology. • Phase 3: Development of the e-Learning component of the project. Finally, • Phase 4: “Pilot testing and Evaluation phase’’ . At the end of the project’s 2nd year, with most of the project intellectual outputs completed or in their final stages, the partnership will reflect on the ''Sustainability'' that YESS could leave behind for all participating organisations (partners and stakeholders involved directly or indirectly) to take stock and decide on initiatives that could ensure the project results’ durability, maintenance and sustainability. The ''Sustainability Guide'' appropriately disseminated, could also provide ideas and materials to organizations in countries outside the partnership, which could facilitate initiation of similar programmes addressed to young entrepreneurs interested in undertaking set up businesses. The project is expected to impact significantly on participating organizations, young people, policy makers, local communities, as its major objective is to narrow the existing knowledge gap, provide awareness on key concepts and opportunities and equip young successors of family businesses with the needed tools to pursue successful entrepreneurial activity. After the project’s completion, YESS partners intend to maintain connections created, while the training materials and methodologies will remain available to any number of members of the direct and indirect target groups, to help even more people profit from the knowledge developed. Partners have agreed to keep the project’s e-Learning platform regularly updated for 3 additional years, after the project implementation. Actively seeking and securing resources necessary to maintain the results of the project after the funding period already is explicitly incorporated in the administrative tasks of all YESS partners. In particular. They are committed to the objectives of the project, as they realize its importance and added value upon young people and the development of the youth entrepreneurial sector in the participating countries. This implies that, making all efforts necessary to maintain the results and to continuously strive for sustainability, will become an important part of their everyday activities and long range planning."

<< Background >>The fashion industry is one of the most important industries in the world with billions in turnover and great influence in the global economy. The textile and clothing industry plays an important role in Europe, employing 1.7 million people and generating an estimated turnover of EUR166 billion. However, it also has a significant impact on the environment which seems hardly compatible with the Commission’s European Green Deal and circular economy goals. Considering supply chain pressures from an EU consumption perspective, clothing, footwear and household textiles is the fourth highest — or fourth worst ranked — pressure category for use of primary raw materials and water. Also, textile waste is one of the most pressing, but perhaps not frequently talked about environmental problems faced globally. Italy was the leading textile polluter among the EU countries, followed by Czech and France.Over the past few years, the EU has been implementing a number of initiatives aimed at greening the sector which, undoubtedly, will leave their mark on the post-pandemic period, including the 2018 waste management rules package, imposing separated collection of textiles by 2025; the EU Ecolabel; and the Green Public Procurement (GPP) encouraging sustainability. However, a harmonized legal framework ensuring minimum sustainability and circularity standards across the Member States still needs to be defined. In the path towards a more sustainable fashion sector, the right to repair is considered key also by the civil society that, in April 2020, published a position paper with recommendations to the Commission on how the 2021 EU Textile Strategy should look. In this so-called Civil Society Strategy, various organizations call for the respect of human rights and the establishment of high social and environmental standards throughout the whole value chain. They point out that the introduction of a right to repair would create new jobs, prevent textile waste and tackle the issue of hazardous chemicals contained in garments. The ECOMODA consortium supports practically the respecting text by developing effective results with a great impact at the local, national and EU levels. To achieve this ambitious goal, the project will undertake many actions in training, financial grants, market stimulation, technology transfer, IPR protection, etc. The project “ECOMODA” constitutes the first step into a new dynamic sustainable community of diverse private/public actors committed to supporting skills development and employment opportunities across EU in the Textile, Clothing, Leather, Footwear and Leather Goods sector on young people. The high number of designers companies in the partner countries (CZ, IT, CY, ES, FR) shows that there is a clear need in investing in the clothing industry.<< Objectives >>The strong competition in the textile industry on international level imposes a better flexibility of the industry as well as the investment in education and the adaptation of new skills for young textile specialists. This is the reason for the need for enhancing the quality and relevance of the learning offer in education towards the latest developments in textile research and innovation. ECOMODA project envisages the development of new tools for improving key competences of young textile specialists: professionals in the textile industry, young entrepreneurs and students in higher textile education. Objectives of the project: •enhancing the quality and relevance of the learning offer in training by developing of a innovative textile course and e-learning platform/ Digital Pop Up Workspace and supporting the dissemination of the project’s outcomes; •improving the level and the assessment of textile competences, including entrepreneurship, green skills and digital skills;•promoting take-up of innovative practices by use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), open and flexible learning.•promoting structured inter-regional cooperation•improving the capacities of organisations in the fields of training of specific textile target group•promote entrepreneurship education, employability and new business creation, supporting the personal and professional development of the target group.ECOMODA welcomes the recognition of cooperatives in the key European actions for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, as means to achieve inclusive and sustainable economic growth (SDG8) as well as the commitment of the EU to “support the development of a competitive local private sector including by building local institutional and business capacity, by promoting SMEs, cooperatives, inclusive business models…”, recognising the impact of young creativity at the local level. ECOMODA will target in presenting the current situation within the fashion industry and means to success. ECOMODA project aims to promote also awareness, interest, skills and competences in most innovative issues of textile and clothing sectors, improving, firstly in the short term targets groups, the knowledge about the most up-to-date technologies for design and also manufacturing, but also management. Through the involvement of relevant training centres working also in the field of fashion, ECOMODA aims to re-motivate and valorize the creative and innovative attitude of young people, showing the potential and diversified opportunities of the textile and clothing sectors. Regarding the dissemination of the project, it is not only limited to those who will directly benefit from the project’s activities and outcomes, but involves also a range of stakeholders, actors, professionals and associations working in the fashion entrepreneurship sector. The partners believe that the proposed tools will provide ways for young people to enter in fashion industry and youth workers to maximize their time and resources when looking for upgrading their competences and helping youngsters to gain a wide range of skills and competences that are in demand in the labor market and especially in fashion industry shifting their focus on greener and more sustainable procedures.<< Implementation >>In parallel with the project’s research and development activities and throughout the project implementation period, a set of horizontal activities will be organised:Project planning; communication; monitoring; fine-tuning; organising partner meetings; drafting meeting minutes; coordinating, collecting and reviewing progress reports; defining of qualitative and quantitative success criteria; monitoring and evaluation; developing executive quality reports; reporting any significant deviation to the partnership and initiating a contingency plan; communicating with the National Agency.
