<< Background >>Civil society and youth work continues to increase every year. In this case, the quality of youth work becomes more important every year. Youth leaders (youth workers) play an important role in terms of active youth work and reaching more young people. Quality and capacity of youth workers play an important role for a qualified youth. Along with civil society and youth work, the need for youth leaders (youth workers) continues to increase every year. As the International Association of All Youth and Sports Clubs, we organize trainings at the national level with the youth leadership training module we have created. Most of the youth leadership training programs do not carry out a specific method. In this context, we want to continue to provide trainings with an international module by developing our module, where we successfully started our 3rd education. In addition, we would like to offer this module free of charge to youth associations operating in the field of youth work.<< Objectives >>Our project will contribute to the training of a qualified youth leader (youth worker) that will be available to every youth organization. We aim to contribute to a qualified youth with a youth leadership training module determined by international standards. In this context, we want to create a training module that will strengthen the infrastructure of every non-governmental organization and increase the quality of youth leaders (youth workers), and we want to achieve a youth worker model open to international collaborations. We want to put forward the youth leadership (youth worker) training module, which is the most important need in the field, and achieve the implementation process in the field. For this study, we firstly conducted national level trainings in our own country. We will carry this training module to the international dimension with our project partners.<< Implementation >>Leadership and Organization Area Leadership Theory and Basic Leadership Skills Managing Group Behavior (Decision making, problem solving, motivation) Group Identity Culture and Team Management A Youth Group Process from Start to Finish Preparation of Events and Training Research and Reporting Skills Assessment and Evaluation Skills Parent-Parent Relationship ManagementPedagogical Skills Area Development Periods and Needs in Youth Basic Communication and Body Language Recognition Techniques and Problems Coping with Stress and Self-discipline Training Planning Preparing a Course / Presentation Plan Effective Presentation Skills Social Event Planning and ManagementWe will determine and manage the contents of the above activities with all our paving project partners, from non-formal education techniques to teaching methods.<< Results >>As the International All Youth and Sports Club Association, we realize a youth leadership training module that can be used by every youth organization with our project. In this context, together with our project partners, we will create our outputs by bringing together field and academic experience. After the project, we will first share the modules of the international youth leadership training program with associations and foundations that are members of the Turkish Youth NGOs platform under our roof. The number of associations and foundations that are members of TGSP is 88. We aim to increase the capacities of our associations that have representative offices and branches at national level. Another concrete output of our project is that we will transfer our youth leadership training program and youth work experience that we have successfully carried out at national level to our partners in Europe, and we will concretize good exemplary practices.

YOUTH WORKERS ACADEMY was an educational and strategic partnership aimed at preparing a curriculum and manuals for youth workers in three areas: young people with special needs; LGBT youth; young people coming from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. The project reflected its internationality in a quality partnership of youth organizations from Turkey, Croatia, Romania and Slovenia. It also proved that it is a response to the need for youth workers from the above-mentioned countries, as they report that they often do not have enough knowledge to work with identified groups, especially in rural areas and places with fewer populations. By preparing specific learning plans – curricula and integrating them into meaningful manuals, we believe that we have made the first steps for higher qualifications of youth workers, presented them with suitable approaches to work with specific groups of young people, and consequently enable young people to get more involved in society and through them youth workers are transferring knowledge and skills in order to find themselves in a better position and raise their potential. Our overall goal was to expand the horizons of youth workers, to train them appropriately to implement the proposed curricula and to enable them to a better access to young people with fewer opportunities through the introduction of new methods of youth work in youth centres in Slovenia, Turkey, Romania and Croatia. The outcome of the project is the curriculum manual, which helps everyone who works with these three specific youth groups. The manual also includes the transfer of good practices between four countries, a visit to 28 external youth organizations, the involvement of over 200 youth workers in pilot training. Over 12 dissemination events were conducted. We started the project with a kick-off meeting and concluded with an evaluation meeting. The curriculum manual remains a lasting result of the project, and the organizations involved would like to continue with the training for youth workers after the completion of the project and, if necessary, upgrade and develop new models in the same partnership. The desire of the partnership was to gather the best team for the development of content in selected areas and in terms of the competencies and experience of the involved youth workers – experts and we believe that the latter has succeeded. For the past two years, the set of quality projects of the team has led to the goals set. New approaches in youth work developed in the project in all four countries (and wider in the EU) constitute a sustainable tool for conducting training sessions and suitable workshops for the integration of young people with special needs who, with regular and quantitative use (methods), offer good foundations for reaching the desired young people and their active inclusion in society. One of the priorities of the project was strengthening our own organizations.

The project aims to promote quality, innovation and recognition of youth work through the platform and outputs, as this is an overarching theme and strategic objective of the 2019-2027 Youth Goals. Increasing and maintaining the quality of Youth work across Europe is key to achieving the Youth Goals, and this can be done by ensuring youth organisations and youth workers are able to learn from each other by recognising and sharing good practices of other European youth projects, increasing the quality of youth work, the skills, competences and understanding of youth workers and in turn, facilitating high quality opportunities and support for the youths engaged with them.To address these priorities, the project will strengthen and support the mandate of the EU Youth Coordinator (to ensure that youth issues are mainstreamed and well connected with all policy areas of the EU that affect young people) through the use of an innovative tool (within the YI+ digital platform), which will increase transnational collaboration between youth organisations, promote “sister project” collaboration, engagement and sharing of lessons learned. The project will support and facilitate the dissemination of project results, outcomes and the impacts of European funded youth projects by connecting the youth work sector, to achieve the objective of mainstreaming youth lead initiatives. We have selected the above priorities, to ensure the project is aligned with several of the 2019-2027 Youth Goals, which also shaped the project's objectives.1. Enhance recognition of Youth Work through European funded programmes across Europe at national and EU level2. Improve sectoral cooperation, including through the EU Youth Coordinator's mandate, to give youth a voice in shaping EU policies3. Support the capacity building of youth workers and youth work practices4. Reinforce links between policy, research and practice and promote better knowledge about the situation of young people and youth policiesProject Outputs:IO1: YouthImpact+ Digital Tool and PlatformIO2: YouthImpact+ Training e-CourseIO3: YouthImpact+ Community of PracticeIO4: YouthImpact+ Tool Assessment and Policy Recommendations

Reflective learning is the solution for better performances in formal and non-formal education activities. Learners who are able to take control over the learning experience are more likely to obtain better results. The Education and Training MONITOR of the EU 2018 signals out the following situation: the most effective practices that schools can promote include ‘promoting group work and critical thinking’, ‘creating a space for dialogue in the classroom on controversial issues to ENCOURAGE SELF-REFLECTION and mutual understanding’. The same study reveals the fact, that at least 34% of the schools in the EU cannot guarantee a learning experience that involves self-reflection and therefore the entire learning process suffers together with the interest of young people. Romania, Italy, Greece, Spain and Poland are countries that do not range among the top players in formal education in the EU, so solutions in the non-formal field, aimed at supporting formal education, are highly needed.Aims and objectivesThe general aim of the project is to support young people from poor educational backgrounds to develop reflective learning competencesThe project objectives which are planned to be achieved in a 2 year duration are:-to raise the awareness of youth workers and other educators in the communities of the project and across the EU regarding the importance of reflective learning through specific instruments and activities that are build-to make the reflective learning competence more operational together with the direct target groups – youth workers and young people from poor educational backgrounds.-to design and validate training tools focusing on reflective learning which have a wide range of applicability. Therefore, youth workers will be prepared to increase the level of self-empowerment or self-development and, more importantly, develop the level of adjustment to new social and economic situations in today’s Europe.2.
