The versatility of the project partners and their valuable experience has been gained through exploring different approaches for inter-cultural communication and integration. However, there is no singular “migrant culture” and trying to integrate people with migratory background means operating in a varied field of different cultures, languages, traditions and religions. The project is targeted at the migrants arriving in Europe and their integration into society through education with a focus on entrepreneurship. The general aim of the project was to develop adaptive training methodologies for adults in order to increase their motivation to learn and to counter their feelings of resignation and apathy. Thus, methodologically the project will be learner and staff/trainer oriented. The project will focus on disadvantaged areas and migrant groups. The results will mainly concern development of methods and techniques used in implementation of the training programmes for migrants with the aim to foster new local culture and through the training facilitate their communication with the local inhabitants. The main results expected from implementation of the project will include:(1)Training programme (90 hours-long, consist of 6 modules) on entrepreneurship tailored for migrants elaborated, tested and made available on-line through an e-platform so that it could be used freely after completion of the project;(2)24 teachers from each country were trained on the newly developed training methodology for working with migrants (4 teachers x 6 partner countries) (3)Experience gained from partner countries regarding the procedure/plan of the integration process of migrants carried out in their country/region. At each project management meeting and training event the hosted country introduced the situation related the imigrant life condicions, culture, problems seeking the job ect. Each host partner organised the visits with the representatives of imigrant instituts.(4)60 persons - learners will participate in testing the developed programme and the teaching methodology (10 learners from each country x 6 countrie)The project lasted for 24 months and involve a total of 6 different organisations, i.e., schools, adult training centres, associations and an enterprise from Latvia, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal and Turkey.

To fulfill its mission, as stressed in the “Conclusions of the Council and of the Representatives of the Governments of the Member States, meeting within the Council, on the future priorities for enhanced European cooperation in vocational education and training”, the VET system has actually the mission to establish a permanent connection and a preferential way of dialogue with the world of work. In line with these premises, the project aims to promote work-based learning in an innovative way by creating a digital platform, on the model of the Business to Business platforms, both for VET providers and for companies. The VET system, through its regular educational and training programmes, daily implement a huge amount of activities (services of catering, web-design, marketing projects, lab tests, 3D printing, etc.) proposed to learners as exercises or as a simulation of real job. The idea of the project is to turn these activities in real and effective services, good and professional consulting ready on market to be sold to small and medium enterprises, through a digital platform where one business (in this case VET providers) serves the needs and requirements of another business (in this case SMEs). In detail, the main project goals are: to design, implement, test and promote, within a local and regional economical contest, a methodology to mainstream the work-based learning methodology within the VET educational system by the medium of a digital platform; to increase job opportunities for learners; to tackle the topic by a cross-sectoral approach matching the needs of VET providers, enterprises, VET trainers and learners; to develop a cross-sectoral partnership to look at the topic by a transversal European perspective. The project objectives and the needs it intends to fulfill are strictly related to the target groups identified and to the key stakeholders needs. The main target groups are VET providers and SMEs at local and regional level while the project stakeholders are: VET trainers and learners together with local and regional public bodies, other public bodies working for the promotion and management of activities in the field of labor market policies and employment. Selected teams of people, out of the above mentioned, in each country, will actively contribute to the platform implementation. These teams will work together and with the partners by the medium of working tables at local level (35 people in total). In a minimum scenario, the project goal is to involve as subscribers of the platform 100 organizations, but the number of reached organizations can be much higher considering the outreach range of such a tool. After its implementation and after a testing and finalizing phase, the platform will be promoted exploiting the partners’ networks, the dissemination tool aimed at the promotion of the project as a whole and by a serie of small events at local and regional level: the “VET2B: an alliance to grow smart” events (200 stakeholders in total in all countries) and the “VET2B: an opportunity to grow smart” events, exclusively designed for VET trainers and learners (300 people in total). All the project activities will be carried out by six partners coming from Latvia, Italy (two partners), Lithuania, Portugal and Poland, belonging to different business and social sectors and dealing with different topics (training, marketing, labour market, economy, social issues): together they will cooperate to provide a range of wide, real job opportunities, both to organizations and individuals. Five transnational meeting and five multiplier events involving 250 people in total will be part of the project activities. The project is designed to become sustainable: the sustainability plan includes a direct dissemination activity to promote the platform among VET providers, SMEs and public bodies, and a set of activities to start a collaborative dialogue with these organizations to be continued after the project closure. The contents of the platform itself are designed to be transferable to other contests and to be used by organization from European countries other than those of the partners. The project is developed at transnational level, as it will offer to participants opportunities to better understand foreign contexts, take part and be supported by an European stable network: all key assets in the labour market sector and a positive trigger for work quality and employment opportunities.

Now this relational chain is extinguished or menaced by social and family transformation with dangerous consequences for disadvantaged people. The project aimed at reactivating the role of the community in supporting the reintegration of its weaker members assuming a path of responsibility and being part of a larger social pact between the disadvantaged people, aimed to find or improve his/her opportunity, the enterprises/companies of the area, as providers of opportunities; and the AE centres, responsible of the learning/training process. The learning/training process involved disadvantaged people, companies, communities and was aimed to provide tools and methodologies useful to the different targets groups and to facilitate their communication and understanding.Four countries participated: Italy, Hungary, Slovenia and Latvia; each represented by one AE centre and one company association.According to the analyses of the needs and with reference to the EU framework, the general objective was:to contribute to the strengthening of motivation and the improvement of job opportunities for low-skilled or low-qualified adults and NEET, through a balance of competences and self-awareness.The specific objectives were: improve learning community network based on general community agreement; create a community (schools, associations, municipalities and companies) to train people in difficulty through working groups; upgrade low-skilled or low-qualified adults through informal/non-formal education based on a community agreement; enhance general social awareness about the usefulness of the community agreement and its job orienteering usefulness. The involved direct target groups were NEET (Neither in Employment or in Education or Training) and low-skilled adults; indirectly involved: local institution, public bodies, SME, interest groups, trade-unions, NGO as active part of the community. Objectives came from the analysis of the needs showing that the 23% of the population lives in rural areas and 35% lives in ""intermediate"" urban areas. These territories have a high percentage of unemployed young people (14,2% of the population, aged 15-29) including vulnerable and non-vulnerable youngsters with different issues: sociodemographic factors, educational attainment, registration with PES (public employment services), different kind of NEET (re-entrants, discouraged by illness, disability, family problems). The activities implemented to reach the objectives were:-a research activity (desk and field), looking for interesting experiences to define a model of community pact-activation of a community pact, ended with the final signature and the involvement of 9 communities (in HU, IT, LT, SI)-training staff and mentors for involve target groups-involvement of direct beneficiaries and companies-definition of 45 Community Learning Pacts-training for beneficiaries: theory and/or on the job -provision of a Handbook of Community Learning: guidelines for the implementation of the community learning in further territories outside the consortium-multiplier events to disseminate the project, involve the community and spread project results-assessing activities: monitoring plan, indicators for impact, result and user's satisfactionThese activities had some direct impacts: increased competences of low skilled and low qualified adults; birth of communities that support unemployed people in distress; SMEs identified and detailed the skills needed to perform their work also for trained potential future workforce; AE centres have strengthen links with the community players and improved their understanding of the local economy in terms of skills needs; trade unions, SME associations understood how to serve their own users by appropriately and proactively intervening on the territories; improved the ability of policy makers (i.e. local authorities) to work with other community players, its knowledge of the needs of citizens for a better use of available resources. This increase in knowledge, communication will impact as long-term effects, these communities have tools and methods to build up engagement process useful in different challenges and with different targets. Moreover the handbook allows other communities, new territorial contexts and with other beneficiaries to apply/test the process."
