"European countries belong to the states with the highest consumption of resources world wide! In order to save resources instead of wasting them in the future,in this project students learned how sustainable consumption and upcycling can work and how they can organise their daily life more sustainably. Upcycling is a great way to spare resources. If used goods get ""reanimated“ and seemingly useless things get a new function, mounts of waste will be reduced on our planet. Each of us can make his/her contribution, no matter if it appears to be only a tiny one. Teachers and students of the 5-8 classes from Hungary, Slovenia and Germany started to made this challenge. Our schools were going to move things together, created new perspectives, were creative across borders and spared resources at the same time. We designed and created new products from „trash“. We sold them at little markets. Also, for our schools ourselves upcycled products for schoolyards and classrooms were created. Unfortunately, critical consumption is hardly an issue for a lot of adolescents. Debates about cheap products and inhumane conditions of production are known but the nonconsumption hasn’t been of interest for many of our students yet. By this project we encourage new ways of thinking and on the basis of specific examples we realise that you can also produce great things at a small level. All our students get familiar and sensitised with the subject waste of energy and carful use of resources. Exhibited art objects, bazaars and workshops helped us to create a perception of sustainability among the students, parents and teachers of all participating countries."

"""The health of ecosystems is deteriorating faster than ever. Humans are at risk of becoming the cause of the sixth mass extinction,"" UN experts are warning.Accordingly, the preservation of biological diversity always serves as the preservation based on human life – both, globally and locally.International collaboration is needed to stop the decline of biodiversity. For this reason, in our project, our students are supposed to experience biodiversity in their region as well as in partner countries, but also experience the ever-increasing extinction of species. The aim of the project is to use precise examples, actions and measures that are suitable for everyday use to show pupils that there are actual opportunities everybody can do for the protection of species.Above all, nature protection works where it occurs together with the local population and where it also benefits them. In the long-term, local people benefit from protected areas and sustainable development because their survival and wellbeing depend directly on the preservation of their homeland and natural resources. There are many ways of becoming active in the protection of species. Protection affects everyone.Teachers and students of grade 1-12 from Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, the Czech Republic and Germany want to face this challenge together and tackle contemporary nature issues mentioned above. The main goal is to raise the awareness of students and their living environment for this topic. We want to point out the problems, introduce options for action and develop new perspectives and solutions. In a creative, playful, and motivating way, students should engage with biodiversity, species extinction, species protection and the associated very fragile ecosystems. The view beyond national borders into other European countries is very helpful, interesting and necessary."

"At the time of the globalization of new technologies all countries have made great progress. But one thing hasn't changed though, everybody needs certain food products for living. And these ones have become a problem. A lot of young people have a bad diet. Over-or underweight, mal - and- inadequate nuitrition are the consequences. At school we can often experience a disturbed relationship of pupils to eating. The number of overweight and obese children and children with deficiencies is rising.Due to the fact that relevant eating patterns are being developed at an early age and later charcterise the eating behaviour of the adults we want to start right here with our project.Only a long -term food education has got chances to pave the way for a future eating behaviour. That's why we, the primary school pupils from Hungary and Slovenia, the vocational school students from Poland and the grammar school pupils from Lithuania, Italy and Germany, had developed an awareness for a healthy diet with our project ""International food discoverers on search "" .All pupils and teachers of our schools were experienced actively where the food products are from, how special foodstuffs are composed and how they can prepare healthy meals themselves. Our food detectives had embarked on the adventure ""healthy diet"". 50 pupils from each participating school did analyse their eating habits in food diaries and compared their results at the end of the project. The objective is the sensitisation of a reasonable eating behaviour and a responsible use of resources and foodstuffs. We want to learn about different eating habits and table manners and to develop a sense for culinary delight. To this end we will prepare international and typically traditional meals of all partner countries together and finally we did eat them together. We went to places where food comes from and consequently broaden our mind about food. All the results of our two-year-project work will be summarised in a cookbook about healthy diet and in a nutrition plan and the elaborated teaching sequences are to be tested and tried out at all schools.Long-lasting aim of our project was to have fun with the preparation of healthy food, The aquisition of knowledge about healthy foodstuffs and a healthy dialy diet. The big challenge was the international comparison. All the food detectives ,who had embarked on the adventure healthy diet, had further developed both in their relation to food and in their own personalities enormously."
