These questionnaires offered us very valuable information that was our starting point for work. This improvement in the atmosphere of coexistence within our schools has been the main objective of our project. But not the only one, since the inclusion of those students with more difficulties, the development of linguistic and digital competences in our students and the teaching staff, as well as the knowledge of other cultures, traditions and ways of life have also structured development. of our project.Based on the four values that are the pillars of our project: relationships, tolerance, society, and respect, various activities were developed that invited members of our educational community to reflect on our environment and our way of acting with other people. indifferent situations. These values have also been the axes and justification of the mobilities proposed for the project. The mobilities were fundamental in a project in which social relations were fundamental to show that tolerance, that respect, that knowledge of society, etc.During the mobilities, the students, in addition to sharing a coexistence with students from other centers and their families, participated in activities that involved local organizations and associations. In this way, spreading the ideology of our project and the essence of European projects.Unfortunately, and due to the pandemic that we have experienced, the last physical mobility to Cyprus could not be carried out. However, we did not want to leave a gap in our work and, as far as possible, it was replaced by three-day virtual mobility in which we involved a greater number of students, ensuring that the impact on our schools was greater.Once we have put the antecedents of the life of our project, we will say that the tangible products of our project are: a digital magazine and the etwinning space. The digital magazine has been the voice of our work, the space in which we have made visible the activities, events, etc. that each school separately and in the mobilities together, have carried out.The etwinning space has been the brain of our organization, a space to share, debate and organize each and every one of the activities that have been carried out.The celebration of commemorative days that we have considered essential for our work has also been fruitful, since it has been the starting point for research on this event, why it was celebrated, what is usually done, what our emotions tell us that we can do . And so it has been transferred in the activities carried out.Through theater, music, writing, the body and the word, our students have been able to express what they felt and channel those emotions in a positive way.During these three years, our schools have participated and collaborated in different social activities to support entities that helped and gave support to the less fortunate. Solidarity concerts, food collection, toy collection, work support in organizations, accompaniment of the elderly, etc. are some of the activities we have developed. We have given voice to colleagues with difficulties, people with disabilities, people in social, economic and intellectual disadvantage through interviews, visits, articles, etc. Coexistence improvement techniques have been developed that have been positive and their assessment has reflected that the objectives have been achieved. These work dynamics inside and outside the classroom in our schools will be maintained over time as a tool to improve the school climate and will be evaluated and modified as necessary. The good collaboration between our schools has sown the seed for future collaborations.

It is the core aim of this adventure based on our deep conviction that the project`s activities will help students to reach out awareness about plastic pollution and developing activism to change something for their own future. The method of project-based learning is the framework for the project in which students will work on the big topic of climate change and concentrate on plastic pollution. They will learn about the 3R`s, be active in workshops like recycling and cleaning actions and will inform themselves about biodiversity and water pollution. All these processes will be documented and saved in a project- kid. Therefore, the students will be able to experience new practices and to preserve them for fellow or future students. In doing so, the learners will be responsible for their own learning process and become independent and creative subjects. The main core of the project is to integrate students from five schools as to work and produces proper outcomes of their work. Students are firstly invited to get to know each other better in search of their cultural and personal identity, and are then progressively guided to open themselves to the richness of diversity, looking into and through different cultures, and looking for building new, creative ways of communicating, sharing, learning and growing together. Five partner schools are participating in the project:Germany, Poland, Spain, Cyprus and The Netherlands encourage the students to participate in several activities in many various ways and come together to exchange and share experiences and best practices in these two fields and find innovative ways to work with students as to gather their attention and curiosity. One of our aims is also developing awareness for the environment by offering interesting and innovative tasks. While creating the project partner schools discussed and shared their experience in thefield of climate awareness, plastic avoiding and in the field of innovative methods and agreed on brainstorming the following topics and actions. The Netherlands will deal with the topic of plastic pollution in water.Poland will face on the topic of the 3R´s and giving things a second life.Cyprus will deal with the topic of sustainable consumption and biodiversity.Spain will search for answers to the question if plastic free is possible.Germany will organize some actions to clean the environment and to follow the way of our trash. We do not want to provide the students with solutions, but want them to develop their own solutions by making them aware of the pollution, which we want to disseminate at an European and International level by developing a project kid. Most of the activities proposed will be maintained also after the end of the project. They can be successfully transferred to different actions and events at all of the partner schools and incorporated into schools curricula. Accordingly, we hope to anchor our approach in our school contexts most and foremost.

Kazimierza Jagiellonczyka,Kivelän kouluFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2020-1-PL01-KA229-082119Funder Contribution: 163,933 EURIt is a common saying that teachers are brain changers but at the same time there are numerous examples showing how little we know about or use the knowledge of brain functioning in the context of teaching and learning today. Having so much evidence that today's schools and public education in general are not brain-friendly in so many cases, we have decided to start a big discussion in the area of neuroeducation in different parts of Europe. It goes without saying that teaching is a challenging profession today. We are bombarded with new approaches, techniques and tools every day. Yet, the most important tool - student's brain has been ignored for the last decades causing different educational failures. That is why, we should do our best to inspire teachers and make them more interested in the topic of brain-friendly education that combines the knowledge of neuroscience, psychology and education, which can help them optimize both learning and teaching processes and reach the maximum potential of each individual student. It will not only improve teaching quality but will also help students improve their academic performance. Our main objective, therefore, is to provide teachers with the profound theory supplemented with plenty of practical, ready to be used methods and approaches that will make their teaching much more stimulating and enjoyable for students, who will ultimately become an active part of the educational process. With this transformation, we want to develop our students' creativity, autonomy, teamwork skills, confidence and responsibility for lifelong learning, which are crucial for their future personal and professional life. On the other hand, we want to make our teachers more innovative and self-confident in their everyday work and international cooperation. The planned activities will lead to strengthening the profiles of teaching professions and will result in more effective and enjoyable learning inside and outside the classroom, better classroom atmosphere, greater engagement and autonomy of students who will feel responsible for their own process of learning. We also intend to develop a long-lasting international cooperation between our schools and mutual support in continuing professional development of our teachers. Developing interpersonal competences as well as reducing the cultural and language barriers among our students and teachers are also important objectives we want to achieve. We truly believe that transferring the responsibility for learning from teachers to students will make the latter independent, self-reliant and intrinsically motivated to push their educational process forward, without too much dependency on their teachers. It is a long-lasting process challenging not only for students but also for teachers, who will have to alter their teaching habit of being in the centre of the classroom and start thinking outside the box to find new tools to guide and monitor the process of learning standing at the back. Therefore, all the project activities are student-centered and designed in the way that allows creativity and taking the initiative and responsibility for the results. Thanks to this project, our teachers will learn how to implement Flipped Classroom, The Escape Room, Discovery Learning, The Mystery Skype Lesson, The Learning Cafe Method, The Game-Based Learning and Problem / Project-Based Learning. What is more, they will have a chance to observe a number of lessons prepared and conducted in harmony with brain-friendly education principles. On the other hand, students will engage themselves in different educational challenges and four different eTwinning projects which will help them prepare for the foreign mobilities. They will also experience all new methods and approaches being implemented by their teachers. We want to share responsibilities for all the project activities with our students aged 9 - 15 from the very beginning. We intend to organize 99 mobilities for students and 52 for teachers from all partner schools. We are planning to engage in our activities as many students, parents and teachers of various subjects as possible and make the local authorities and whole communities familiar with the ongoing or completed actions. That is why, we intend to use different means of communication such as local press, radio, TV, social media and school websites to reach a wide audience. As a group of five countries from Cyprus, Finland, Italy, Poland and Turkey we have planned six meetings during these two years. The first teacher-oriented mobility taking place in Finland will be devoted to the theory and practice of brain-friendly education and will be a great starting point for the whole project. The next five meetings will be organized in all partner schools where our students will have a chance to meet their new friends and develop their language competence in meaningful and purposeful situations.
