This exclusion is the result of long-term social isolation associated with the pandemic and, consequently, the failure to adapt to the requirements of the contemporary market based on new technologies, the abandonment of investment in the personal development of the employee, the feeling of meaninglessness, a decrease in commitment and motivation to change. This state of affairs contributes to impaired self-esteem and, as a result, social and professional exclusion of people 55+. Already 10 years ago the European Commission recognized that exclusion is a multidimensional process pushing people 55+ to the social margin and preventing them from participation in social, economic, political and cultural life! The factors indicated by oshwiki.eu as the biggest difficulty in working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic were the lack of social contacts, isolation in the work environment and differences in communication of multigenerational teams. Lack of proper preparation of the work environment for people 55+ carries a huge risk of another crisis manifesting itself: a sense of lack of understanding, professional and social alienation and absenteeism related to the lack of psychological well-being of the employee. The partnership formed by 4 NGOs, with different types of activities (Poland - Spain - The Netherlands - Greece), is prepared to develop, through the exchange of experiences and good practices, tailored to the needs and opportunities of the selected 2 target groups (people 55+ and HR trainers/specialists). However, in order to get the most benefit from the support programme, three criteria are essential: an idea, a strategy and a vision. Therefore, the partnership's answer to these problems is to develop a wise educational programme, adjusted to the changing reality, to be implemented in the workplace (environment) of people 55+<< Objectives >>Thanks to the implementation of the ""SWITCH ON"" project in 4 partnerships: Poland, Spain, Holland, Greece, it will be possible to develop and introduce modern, applied on the European ground tools stimulating activity of persons 55 + threatened with exclusion in social and professional life. Actions will be taken to develop soft competencies and interpersonal skills of this group of recipients in the work environment. As well as activities raising their motivation to undertake further professional and educational activity for the benefit of permanent social and professional inclusion. The most important for the partnership is to meet these challenges and create a new comprehensive educational offer (response to the needs of the target group of trainers) - the educational and development program ""SWITCH ON"". consisting of 3 closely correlating and complementary modules:E - COURSEBOOK for trainers consisting of 3 modules:MODULE A. GUIDELINES FOR TRAINERS' WORK MODULE B. 30 LESSON SCENARIOS MODULE C. CASE STUDY and 2 original development tools: ""POWER BOX"" and - E - GAME ROOM, where the TRENER/EDUCATOR TAKES THE ROLE OF TUTOR based on the authenticity, involvement, acceptance and autonomy of each of the program participants.Work with the program lasting about 3 months (30 workshop meetings) assumes a change in the life attitude of the participating persons 55 + they will acquire the necessary knowledge and soft competencies needed to manage their personal potential, increase self-esteem, increase the level of competence in communication in a team of diverse generations. The program in Module A will also include practical elements ensuring adequate participation of people 55+ at risk of exclusion in professional and social life. This is undoubtedly an important aspect in working with this group of beneficiaries. Thanks to the combination and use of the Program modules in the workshop work with adults, the educator / HR professional has at his disposal rich substantive, methodical and activating resources. Each scenario = workshop meeting will be prepared in such a way, that a tutor will be able to make his/her own choice, flexibly supplement it or change it with materials known and available to him/her. Development of the above mentioned Program for active form of work with people 55+ and its dissemination on the European market gives, in our opinion, a good chance of success. The innovation dimension involves the adaptation and multiplication of solutions that are known and proven in the country of each of the 4 partners. The results of the project are focused on supporting the education of people 55+ and combine the use of best practices of workshops with the self-development of mature people using activation tools. 3 general thematic areas: social inclusion, promotion of equality and antidiscrimination, digital skills and competences, new methods in teaching and learning - are the axis of the project ""SWITCH ON"" and respond to the needs of two defined target groups - PERSONS 55+ at risk of social exclusion and trainers/educators and HR personnel undertaking educational and development activities for this group.<< Implementation >>The key activities in the project will be:1. setting up a website, FB and their moderation together with access to an open educational platform where all modules of the Development Programme -result of the project- will be implemented.2. creation of an animation promoting the developed programme ""SWITCH ON"" and 4 professional articles - to be used during the campaign in social media, educational and coaching portals, etc.3. ongoing monitoring and evaluation of individual project activities, including ongoing, mid-term, final, qualitative evaluation - the impact of the project on the participants of the pilot workshops and dissemination events4. external expert evaluation and external review of final products5. open recruitment of participants and conducting a series of workshops with people 55+ by each partner (10 pilot meetings with 10 persons group of 55+ and 3 trainers) in order to test the method, refine the content and exercises to the intellectual and social capabilities of beneficiaries 55+.6. creating (in EN, PL, ESP, NLD, GRC) in cooperation with the partnership a practical compendium of the trainer's knowledge in national languages of all partnership members - THE ""SWITCH ON"" PROGRAM.Conducting in total 8 dissemination meetings of the developed project results: Development programme ""SWITCH ON"" in each of the 4 countries for 280 participants: trainers, tutors, coaches and HR specialists.<< Results >>The deliverables developed in the project (E - COURSEBOOK for trainers) focus on supporting the learning of 55+ people in the work environment and combine the use of best workshop practices with self-development using proprietary activation tools: ""POWER BOX"" and E - GAME ROOM. Thanks to the impact of the above-mentioned results it is expected to increase awareness of positive changes, self-confidence, motivation of people 55+ concerning their future in the integration of society and the labour market in the united Europe. The results of the project activities will provide new methods, tools and materials ideally suited to the new challenges of the EU growth strategy for 2021-2027, which aims to develop an economy based on knowledge and innovation and a high level of employment ensuring social and territorial cohesion, including inclusive growth. The partnership also assumes that through the impact of the project and sharing its results there will be an increase in public awareness of the need to increase social professional activity of people 55+ at risk of exclusion by promoting social and professional reintegration, including the promotion of the benefits of employing people 55+ among businesses."

Zentrum für Bildung und soziale Innovation in Österreich,Bilim ve Insan Vakfi,EURO-NET,INDEPCIE SCAFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2021-2-TR01-KA220-YOU-000047996Funder Contribution: 183,459 EUR"<< Background >>Europe’s six million teachers have the essential competencies they require in order to be effective in the classroom is one of the keys to raising levels of pupil attainment; encouraging teachers to continue developing and extending their competencies is vital in a fast-changing world. As noted in the European Commission’s communication ‘Rethinking Education’ (2012), the reform of education and training systems is essential to achieving higher productivity and the supply of highly skilled workers. In this context, it invited the Member States to revise and strengthen the professional profile of all teaching professions by reviewing the effectiveness as well as the academic and pedagogical quality of adult education trainers, introducing coherent and adequately resourced systems for recruitment, selection, induction and professional development of adult education teaching staff based on clearly defined competencies needed at each stage of a teaching career, and increasing teacher digital competence”. (European Commission 2012a). The Commission’s document ‘‘Supporting the Teaching Professions” (European Commission 2012c) notes that a lack of clarity about what society can expect from its teaching staff can make it more difficult for the Member States to ensure that the same high standards of teaching apply in all education centres. Therefore, Member States increasingly acknowledge the need to define clearly what teaching staff is expected to know, and be able to do; such frameworks of teacher competencies can then be the basis for:- Assessing teachers/trainers’ needs for in-service training,- Arranging the provision of professional learning opportunities so that teachers/trainers continue to develop their competencies throughout their whole careers. The roles of trainers and adult education centres are changing, and so are expectations about them: Adult education providers are asked to teach in increasingly multicultural classrooms, integrate students with special needs, use ICT for teaching effectively, engage in evaluation and accountability processes (OECD, 2009). Furthermore, World Summit on Teaching noted that adult education providers need to help students/learners acquire not only “the skills that are easiest to teach and easiest to test” but more importantly, ways of thinking (creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making and learning); ways of working (communication and collaboration); tools for working (including information and communications technologies); and skills around citizenship, life and career and personal and social responsibility for success” (OECD 2011).According to Eurofound (2015), the high number of NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) has cost the European economies an estimated €142 billion a year in benefits and foregone earnings and taxes. Moreover, 11% of young people around Europe lost their jobs due to the pandemic, along with 12% stating that is likely to lose their jobs in the forthcoming future. Considering the highly impacted NEET group and changing needs and requirements of the 21st century and post-covid era, a new perspective in teaching, especially in adult education is highly required, to prepare the European society for the future. An effective way to prepare the people of Europe for the future lies beneath the development of key competencies, especially the development of resilient, flexible digital abilities in adults and young adults. Therefore, ""Digital skills development toolkit for young NEETS to increase employability"" aims to improve the attention of NEETs by increasing digital competencies, increasing confidence in their ability to utilize information-communication technologies, boosting soft skills to increase employability and effectively solve problems by generating creative, practical solutions.<< Objectives >>Digital skills and soft skills are indispensable parts of individuals in the 21st century. A person's competence in using information communication technologies (ICT) and their ability to utilize ICT technologies as part of their problem-solving processes is the measure of the ability to prevail in today’s fast-paced, information-dependent society. High-level ICT competence, in the 21st century, especially after the COVID19 pandemic, gave people the ability to get things done in an effective, safer and sustainable way, making digital skills part of our social and professional lives and a pre-requisite for success."" Digital skills development toolkit for young NEET to increase employability"" aims to improve the competence of NEET by increasing digital skills and increasing their employability through the use of ICT tools and soft skills development. Also, it aims to increase their ability to create quality content on online mediums, create their own digital portfolio, produce engaging presentations and connect with other professionals. With the training in the project, NEETs will get techniques to apply with peers to improve their soft skills and hone their digital skills. As per an OECD study conducted in 2015, academic underperformance is common to most students with an immigrant background, but particularly first-generation immigrant students. Students with an immigrant background face multiple sources of disadvantage that affect their academic performance and their general well-being. IMCAP thus focuses on improving the academic performance of an immigrant student. It involves 4 Partners in 4 European Countries who will bring their expertise together to create a platform to tackle the education gap and mismatches by strengthening the profiles of educators and teaching professionals. In this context, the objectives of the project are as follows:- To prepare teachers of school age children to work in a culturally diverse classroom and actively engage parents of different backgrounds in the education process- To enable immigrant parents to engage more in the school system of the host country- To create a set of tools that will facilitate the academic success of children of immigrant parents through the adults around themIMCAP’s goal is to narrow the educational achievement gap between immigrant and non-immigrant peer. This will occur by targeting key stakeholders and assisting them with tools; a cultural handbook, a capacity-building booklet and an online networking platform. In a longer-term, the project will facilitate equal participation in society both economically and socially.
