The project aims at motivating children to learn more about European cultures and their own culture too.This project deals with the fact that cultural differences may become our cultural wealth and by managing these differences well it may turn into an advantage and also form a common sense.The objective of the project: Developing the social and educational values of European cultural heritage for 500 direct participants-students and 500 indirect participants-teachers, parents through cooperation between schools in 4 countries (Turkey, Romania, Poland and Portugal) over a 24-month period.Our main aim is to help institutions to will contribute to social cohesion, non-discrimination and to form civic competences we for have designed the following objectives:1) To raise democratic citizens who can think universally2) To improve their knowledge and skills.3) To cooperate internationally4) To create a synergy by encouraging the relationship among students coming from different cultures.5) To make a contribution to cultural integration against any kind of discrimination6). To raise consciousness of tangible and intangible cultural heritage7)To promote more active participation in society8)To promote greater understanding and responsibility for social, linguistic and cultural diversityTo reach these objectives methods like drama performances, exhibition, conferences, environmental activities, cultural tours, folk dances and competitions will be held. Besides these organizations, anew approach to problem solving will be applied to see how our differences affect creative thinking and problem solving skills. To see this, ""cross-cultural problem solving technique"" will be used and itsresults will be compared and presented to the participants.Students and teachers from the European partner schools will be working on the same tasks and problems.Our participants are aged between 15 and 18 some of whom have disadvantages socioeconomically and come from different cultures.Our project partners are Turkey, Portugal, Romania and Poland.Our activities are:*Practice with cross- cultural problem solving technique. This activity is planned to show how culture affects people's thinking styles and their approaches to problems.*Drama: Dramas will be formed , proverbs and idioms will be acted out.*National traditions, folklore and cuisine: Students will present their local rituals, cuisine and music, traditional clothings.*Environmental and sport activities: Students will perform sports activities, trekking and environmental protection activities.*Poem speech competition;We will hold a poetry contest.*ICTs and e-learning: Schools will open Internet forums, weblogs, social blogs, microblogging, social networks*Cultural tourism: Workshops about cultural and historical heritage will be held in countries during the mobilities.*Social awareness and cultural volunteer service: Students will sell the traditional souvenir items of the each participant country and donate the money to the chosen charity organizations. Each country willinform the others about the cultural conflicts like holocausts and refeguee problems their countries experienced in their past.Some short terms results include: giving our target groups of teens the chance to say out loud what worries them,encouraging their critical and creative thinking,expanding their knowledge ofEnglish,refining their oral production and presentation. Throughout the project's life time,all participants will do their best to turn our international collaboration into enjoyable experience,whereeveryone will feel himself important.The result of this work will be a significant expansion of teaching facilities supporting teachers in teaching educations.Each partner school will share their best experiences. Implementation of thisproject will contribute to raising the qualityl of school education by increasing teachers' knowledge and skills through learning best practices in education across Europe. Our project is student-centredand most of the activities will be carried out by pupils themselves. Impact on children as learners will be multidimensional–experiences will be positive and enjoyable within an educational environmentfor children who might not otherwise ever meet and communicate with children and adults from other countries.Also by this international project,we hope that the students will enhance their basic and transversal skills 70-100%.They will add to their potential learning power in the labour market.In the future, their qualifications should help them to find a better job.All staff involved will benefit from sharing practice with colleagues on different methods of teaching and learning."

Ultimately, the project partners are hoping to help students understand that exclusion and isolation is not the solution for the problems that European countries face but, instead, we need to work together, based on the values of tolerance, inclusion and freedom to shape our better future. Objectives-To enhance the dialogue among students about issues that are common across Europe and are especially relevant today with the influx of refugees from countries with war conflicts-To improve the ability of students to present a story with the purpose of engaging the interest of their audience on the issues that are discussed-To help students develop the values of tolerance, inclusion and freedom and to avoid discriminatory behavior.-To incorporate the art forms in the curriculum and the European cultural heritage in school curriculums enhance Citizenship Education -To promote intercultural cooperation and understanding80 students and 40 teachers will participate directly in the project. Up to 200 students and 100 teachers are expected to particpate indirectly.There will five LTTAs in the project, each focusing on different time periods in the 20th century in Europe.-In each country, students will watch 5 representative films coming from different time periods of that country and will analyze various factors related to the social structure of the country during that time period. -The areas of interest will be: Gender depiction in film across countries and time periods, Social status and relations between classes, Family relations and roles of family members, Social and economic deprivation, Depiction of refugees/outsiders. -Students will receive training on video editing, storytelling, scriptwriting and stortyboarding. -Students will work in teams in order to create a documentary (5 in all, focusing on the differences and similarities of this issue between countries and time periods) regarding the theme of the particular group of movies where they will underline the socially important aspects derived from the films. The documentaries will have to be made collaboratively in mixed teams. Tangible Results-Production of 5 documentaries by the students about certain social issues and they are depicted in different European countries during the course of the 20th century. The documentaries will be freely available on paltform that the project will be disseminated in. The documentaries will be checked for copyright issues and permissions will be requested. -Website and Social Media pages (e.g. Facebook) will be created in order to reach a large audience -Posters will be created for each one of the documentariesIntangible Results-Students will increase their knowledge of other European countries’ history, societal development and culture -Students will enhance their teamwork skills, their communication and language skills, their international understanding and intercultural understanding-Students will understand European culture better and feel that they belong in a European family. -Students will enhance their analytical and critical thinking skills as by teaching their peers in making documentaries utilizing the training, they received in the mobilities (peer-learning)-Schools will improve their international connections, will build experience in exchanges and will be able to exchange good practice with other schools in Europe-Teachers will learn how to incorporate art in the curriculum in order to help student improve their performanceSchools and teachers will improve their ability to organize and implement European projects and will be able to create partnerships with other schools for the purpose of exchanging good practices.Teachers will improve their teamwork skills, their communication and language skills and international cooperation skills by managing a project with other teachers from Europe.The participating students will get in contact with an international environment that will help them improve skills like intercultural cooperation and cultural understanding that would be difficult to develop in their own countriesThe international mobilities and collaboration will help students understand the differences and similarities of European countries and see the similar development of societies. They will also be more capable to understand how to behave in different environments than their own and be more tolerant of the behavior of people with different cultures.In addition, students will enhance their teamwork skills, their communication and language skills, their international understanding, understand European culture better and feel that they belong in a European family.

In this sense, the task of schools is to teach, value and preserve the unique cultural and natural heritage through curricular and extracurricular activities. We believe that implementing this project will contribute to our students' learning about cultural heritage and being aware of the importance of protecting and sustainability of it. The project aims at motivating children to learn more about tangible and intangible cultural heritage The project deals with the idea of how important cultural tourism for a country's economy is.Another goal is to help institutions develop better prevention and intervention plans to deal with social inclusion. This project will also help participators to understand and value being an EU citizen. Itwill also enhance the participators' feeling of democracy. The project aims at motivating children to learn more about a democratic lifestyle and democracy culture. Also it will contribute to struggle against discrimination, xenophobia and racism. It aspires to contribute to participants' development to be successful leaders by improving their transversal skills.This project aims to enhance students' skills that are necessary to achieve a democratic culture such as learning to learn, analytical and critical thinking, listening and observing, empathy, flexibility and adaptability, linguistic, communicative skills, co-operation, and conflict-resolution. Through these skills, we want to highlight the benefits of active citizenship and demonstrate that teachers can contribute to the creation of sustainable democracies.
