"The aim of the project ""What's your c@de?"" is to motivate students for a long-life learning and to prevent early school dropouts by using a variety of ICT tools and coding activities. Students come from different socio-economic backgrounds and several issues. Participating countries bring into the project their different cultures from north to south of Europe, and this increases the chances to be enriched by each other diversity. We believe that students learn more by doing. We believe that students will develop a critical thinking and how to solve problems when they are asked to take part to innovative activities. Students should have fun in learning new topics, and this will motivate them for lessons and learning. We want to use new approaches in order to raise the students' interest and motivation to be involved into the future society with a promotional attitude. The project will foster young people's social skills in the students' own life at home, school and general in society. The project will also work with the teachers' motivation and their knowledge for a better education. Our lessons will be introduced and developed in the school curriculum. We will work with values, social skills, self-confidence and technology. Initially, we will work to tear down mental barriers such as stereotypes and prejudices to induce our students to integrate. Parallel with technology during the project we will focusing on soft skills as well as developing competence and abilities for the future. We will work in order to:-improve skills in the use of new technologies-motivate students to look for and study different sources of knowledge- increase mathematical and linguistic competences and add knowledge in other subjects.- practice and improve foreign languages-be aware of their own strengths and weaknesses as challenge to improve and be part of the society.Participating countries; Sweden, Poland, Latvia, Italy, Greece. We have a large geographical and cultural spread. The project will involve most of the pupils and teachers from partner schools. The schools are municipal and have a large student variation both within the schools and among the countries. Pupils participating in the project are 8-15. Pupils in the mobilities will be 12-15. Among the students selected for our activities and actions, we will dedicate a special care to the disadvantaged ones, in order to offer them a consistent opportunity to grow and improve. There will be monthly activities carried out in the schools. 5 group meetings (students & staff) in each country/5 days and 3 team meetings (staff)/3 days. Coding is becoming increasingly a key competence, we want to introduce coding in our learning/teaching process. Coding and robotics will be developed into most of our activities. Activities will be published schools website, project website, Etwinning platforms, twinspace for constant dissemination. We will have an e-book as one of the final output, local Erasmus Day events and articles on local magazines. It is very important to offer the students a wide selection of subjects and topics, therefore it becomes a fascinating challenge for the teacher to link their own teaching to the students' experiences and to attract the students to be an active protagonist of the teaching process. Both the teacher competence and didactic skills are important. We will support the students’ efforts to show that we believe in them, so-called pygmalion effect, and thus increase their motivation. We will encourage all actions dealing with a better self esteem and resilience. Methods will vary widely in order to have as wide impact as possible. Individual/group exercises, experimental, e-learning/tutoring, informal and integrated teaching, peer learning etc. We plan to develop robotics at schools and extend our activities in robotics and coding. By using interactive displays and hands-on activities, students will be able to take responsibility for their own learning, improving their know-how. Critical thinking, reasoning and problem solving skills will be highly improved and will be implemented when dealing with different groups and cultures. We will make initial, intermediate and final questionnaires. We will also have evaluations after each group/team meeting. Digital educational/teaching material will be produced, evaluated and uploaded regularly.Potential longer term benefits.Success will be stated if we get students:- who are study-motivated- prepared for future studies and working life- measurable difference in self-confidence- are open-minded for Europe and know more about different cultures, appreciating diversity- students get better communicative performances and skills and thus dare to express themselves more.Success will also be stated if:- teachers' professional levels in the digital and communicative areas increase, by giving opportunities for strategies and innovative methodologies.- better teaching = better learning = better results"

"Confucius said: ""Without feelings of respect, what is there to distinguish Men from beasts?"" According to psychologists, respect is a basic moral value or need which makes us aware that we are human beings and it is related to happiness, productivity and success. Moreover, when people respect each other, there are less conflicts and less fighting. The awareness about respect must be instilled in every human being from his/her childhood. That is why we strongly believe that it should be cultivated to pupils at school in a more consistent way, as part of the curriculum, as it is a very important value. After studying the meaning of respect, the project was divided into three very important aspects: Self-Respect, Respecting Others, Respecting the Environment (Property). Different activities were carried out for all 3 aspects each year, in order to inculcate this value to our pupils. Due to the topic selected, the problems that were be addressed in this project are pollution, racism, xenophobia and bullying, low self-esteem and disrespectful behavior. So, this cooperation is a great opportunity for teachers, pupils, pupils’ parents and community. Teachers can develop new skills, get some information about different educational systems, practice ICT and language skills in their personal capacity, broaden their knowledge about countries, cultures. As a result of this project pupils acquired positive self-esteem, which is necessary for other types of respect, happiness and success, became more respectful towards others and the environment. Moreover, they are more able to express their opinion, without criticizing and insulting others and become more acceptive to critic. Generally. they became more tolerant and open-minded, understand rules' importance and follow them willingly, increase their English communication and ICT skills, become aware of their national and European identity. Parents benefited not only because of their children’s personal and academic development, but also byb having some opportunities to support school in various activities. Schools gain a lot by the new curriculum where respect will be consistently promoted as part of curricula and also by the integration of different subjects (art, music, English language, maths, geography, IT PE etc). Community was also favored by the change in the attitude of pupils as far as respect to nature is concerned and through active citizenship that will be the result of positive self-esteem. Moreover, respectful citizens will not cause so much problems to community since they will know well which actions are respectful and which are not.The project was carried out by 4 schools from 4 different countries: Bulgaria,Spain, Cyprus and Poland. All school subject were involved in this project. A total of 3065 pupils and 278 teachers participated in the project. To carry out the project activities, various approaches were used, including the project method, blended learning, multimedia learning process (using audio, video, text etc). Also, collaborative learning, creativity-based learning, experiential learning ,active involvement of a large number of people, introduction of all parties to the project, action research, contest (logo, mascot, art),specialist invitation, external visits were be used along with ICT to achieve the project aims for all participants. One of the most important products of the project is the a set of lesson plans-activities related to respect, that will be available on Twinspace, the project's blog, school websites. These activities are divided into 5 groups: Spanish, Greek, English, Polish, Bulgarian. Lesson plans, pedagogic material and feedback on the activities will be available. This dataset of lesson plans and pedagogic material about respect will be collected in 5 different languages.Other results will be the Logo and mascot of respect, the Respect Song, Campaign Posters, Dictionary of Respect, A ""flat movie"" about respect, different codes (respect, ecologist), the Green Holidays Presentation etc. Also, there will be talks and meetings with interesting people, as well as different thematic weeks (Friendship Week, Compliment Week, Week Against Bullying, Week of Tolerance), during which relevant activities will occur. Finally, a concert / festival will be organized and all the money collected by these will be given to charity. For us dissemination is important, so we plan to use any channels including school web pages, social media, other media (Tv, radio, magazines) to make our project's scope and results known to as many people as possible. All our results will be available and access will be open to them."
