This project aims to promote excellence and internationalization of research education and training in the field of lipids and proteins in biological membranes. Membrane proteins are among the main targets of current drugs, and new therapies based on targeting of membrane lipids are promising. We aim to design a unique training program by coordinating theoretical and practical teachings to create a new educational framework in line with current medical issues and the needs of the pharmaceutical industry. World specialists in lipids and membrane proteins have been identified in three European Universities in France, Italy and Germany who wish to build an international Joint Master's degree on Lipids and Proteins in Biomembranes and Pharmacology: LPBIOPHARMA. The integrated Master's degree programme would combine a unique theoretical training allowing specialization in a cutting-edge field (nanophysics and neurotechnology) and a double technical training through two laboratory internships. This application to the EMDM program will provide a solid basis for a future EMJM application and will be open to institutions from other countries around the world.

Le Master International en Sciences de l'Éducation Inclusive - MISEI, issu d’un consortium de pays Euro-Africains, vise à former des spécialistes en “éducation inclusive”. Il s’agit d’un consortium de pays et d’un domaine thématique actuellement sous-représentés dans les projets Erasmus Mundus. Le master MISEI vise : a) l’analyse des obstacles qui pénalisent les scolarités de différents groupes sociaux, b) la conception de dispositifs et des pratiques visant à faciliter l’inclusion et réduire les inégalités éducatives, de former de futurs enseignants et professionnels de l’éducation à même de mettre en place des collaborations intra et inter-professionnelles de sorte à accompagner au mieux les élèves à besoins éducatifs particuliers. Ces objectifs seront atteints en faisant levier sur : a) les capacités d’amélioration des systèmes éducatifs, b) l’utilisation de méthodes d’innovation pédagogique (adaptative learning) issues de l’expérience que les membres du consortium ont développé en la matière, pour permettre une plus grande inclusion de publics scolaires vulnérables à ce jour encore trop souvent considérés comme devant être intégrés tout en restant périphériques, c ) faciliter l’émergence d’une prise en charge socio-éducative et d’en comprendre les enjeux, notamment les défis posés par l’articulation entre les activités respectives des professionnels impliqués dans le développement d’une culture commune inter-métiers.Dans le cadre de ce projet préparatoire (Lot 2), les membres du consortium mobiliseront une méthode collaborative intégrée. Chaque étape de la conception du master MISEI bénéficiera : a) de l’expertise de chacun des participants, b) d’actions de renforcement des capacités par les pairs. Cela permettra de parvenir à la conception et à l’accréditation d’un master conjoint d’une durée de 2 ans (120 ECTS) conforme aux Standards for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes - EHEA. A la fin des 15 mois, le consortium pourra déposer un dossier MCEM Lot 1.

MASS is an Erasmus+, Joint Master Program in Astrophysics and Space Science. It is delivered by a Consortium of four Universities (Rome Tor Vergata, Belgrade, Bremen and Cote d'Azur) and a number of Associated Partners, including public research institutions, National Space Agencies, small and medium enterprises and space industries. Because of this, MASS has the ambition of being an intersectoral, research-oriented Master program, covering state-of-the-art knowledge and research in six main pillars: Gravitation and Cosmology, Stellar Astrophysics, Exoplanets, Astrophysical Techniques, Astrostatistics and Big Data, and Space Science. The goal of the program is to provide students with knowledge and skills tuned to continue their career in PhD programs, but also desirable to the private sector. MASS will offer to its students a number of academic paths to help them to choose how to move among the four Consortium Members and to better identify the chosen field of specialization. In the end, MASS students will be exposed to the theoretical aspects of modern astrophysics, to the knowledge/use of observational facilities and/or to the data reduction and science exploitation of big data set coming for current/forthcoming ground-based or space-borne experiments.

This diversity is Ulysseus core strength to accurate create a dynamic and versatile Alliance, constructed upon more than 90 stakeholders’ support, ready to develop an agile, sustainable and proactive community for boosting the four missions of higher education institutions: Education, Research, Transfer of knowledge and Service to Society. To this effect, Ulysseus Alliance encompasses more than 180.000 students, academics and staff. It took Ulysses ten years to reach Ithaca. With the same enthusiasm and determination as the Odyssey’s hero, our Ulysseus Alliance faces an ambitious 10 years journey. Ulysseus joint vision for 2030 is to have developed an excellency-recognized, internationally attractive, open to the world, persons-centred and entrepreneurial European University for the citizens of the future. Understanding our alliance as an Innovation Ecosystem, developing solutions for specific R&D local and regional challenges from 6 Innovation Hubs, is Ulysseus unique and distinguishing feature. By doing so, this alliance ambition is to contribute to shape the European Higher Education and Research Areas, and hence the future of Europe, through a step-by-step approach. The first three years of the Ulysseus University are devoted to designing and co-creating the joint structures, governance and management systems, and launching the activities programs' pilots. At the end of this phase, a new, modern, open and active University will be fully available for European citizens and to the rest of the world, meaningful contributing to our regions RIS3, Horizon Europe missions and clusters, Green Deal and UN SDG.

The Covid-19 pandemic has come, in 2020 and 2021, to confirm even more the importance of the digitalisation of administrations, companies, and of course higher education institutions. African countries are committed to the digital movement, nevertheless, they are doing so at a slower pace. This is certainly linked to economic, cultural, and political factors, but also to a lack of knowledge and capacity of HEIs to renew their teaching practices through the prism of digital technology. In this project, we dig deep into this problem of digital divide and propose à contribution to its reduction. We base our ideas and orientations on previous studies that have clearly delineated the critical need but also the challenges faced by African HEIs to adapt to current and future labour market demands and student expectations. We thus propose a strategic framework to accompany digitalisation. This framework is culturally as well as functionally adaptable to avoid a one-size-fits-all solution. The transfer of good practice from Europe to Africa is important to serve this objective, for this we propose the creation of digital centres baring the mission of growing all stakeholders involved in the mission of higher education in digital and soft skills. We liaise with other societal stakeholders for knowledge transfer by establishing communities of practice and digital divers. Our dissemination approach aims to influence towards sectoral change in Africa and a better tackling of widening participation in Europe.
