"<< Background >>Promoting employment of women is not only important for equality of gender but also important to boost economy and a better business performance. According to EC, one of the Europe 2020 headline target is increasing labour force participation and improving employment of women. However, in all member states, the employment rates of women are still lower than those for men, especially in Cyprus, Greece, Romania, Poland and Spain there is a big difference between female and male employment rate. And in overall Europe, average hours of women and men in paid and unpaid work highlights the big difference. While men work 76% of their total working hour in paid work, women only account 53%.In order to demonstrate these needs, the following research has been carried out:As Alcañiz Moscardó, M. (2017) argues that is paradoxical that in a society that takes into account above all education, training and qualification, women suffer the polarisation of employment by productive branches and occupations and the deterioration of working conditions in new contracts to a greater extent than men. Unfortuantely, the spanish entrepreneurs represent only 4.5% of the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem, compared to 11% worldwide (ICEX, 2020). The Spanish Government is supporting initiatives and programmes to empower women and reduce gender inequality. Valencia InnoHub works with different social groups developing workshops, training, seminars especially on innovation & new technologies, career guidance, entrepreneurship, business models and financing. As Thorton research (2019) in Greece, regarding the labour situation, in 2019 the 22% of senior management position was fitted. By women. Only the 1% of Greek women answer that the company in which they work ensures equal access to professional development opportunities and only 4% of those who participated in the survey answer that the company in which they work offers the possibility of flexible work. According to the same research, the No. 1 factor that keeps women away from high positions is family responsibilities (17%) and then the lack of time (13%) for other professional development activities. Inequality in labor market participation and equal opportunities between women and men is a long-standing issue, but today, a year after the pandemic spread, it is becoming relevant, as the crisis may have worsened labor market conditions, especially for low-skilled women (Alpha Bank, 2021).Regarding the needs in Cyprus, recent studies show that men were more likely than women to be self-employed in 2017 (13.8% vs 8.9%). An important barrier to business creation is a lack of entrepreneurship skills. Among the targeted social groups, men (59%) were the most confident about their entrepreneurial skills, and women the least (40.3%). KALYS is actively involved in supporting Women, start businesses, acquire skills (digital and entrepreneurship) and follow self-development methods. It’s a member of the Network of Business and Profesional Women of Cyprus and it organizes events and initiatives that support Women. The involvement in the project will provide to the company the means to train and support for free more and more women.According to the report ""Digital Key to Professional Future. Women in the Labour Market in the Context of the Economic Crisis,"" , women's ICT skills, trend and digital competencies remain low, regardless of education. So, a clear example of why there is a need to educate women in Poland on business literacy, numeracy and digitalitation sectors can be observed. CWEP has a long history of constant support for those sectors that are at risk of exclusion. In Romania in 2021, women are still very under-represented in the business world. << Background >>Given the fact that almost 90 perc. of all convicted persons repeating the crimes, we have appreciated the huge added value of youth workers' work in working with young convicts and helping them to develop their social skills. This project focuses on the development of social skills while the young person is still in prison or the most severe sentence has't been applied, in order to give him more opportunities to integrate into civil society and to be able to act in accordance with civic and democratic principles. The need for the project is revealed by the example of a young man who is in a prison since the age of 18, has grown up in an unbalanced family, has been in a prison for almost 9 years and does not want to leave 2 years before his release because he is afraid he will not be able to adapt. We hear such stories both in Lithuania and in partners working with young people in other countries. On the other hand, in some partner countries, either integration measures are not in place at all, or integration officers play a supervisory role. Informal interviews with youth organisations and youth workers in partner countries have shown that youth workers have a fear of working in prisons or with young people who are healthy offenders, have negative prejudices and do not have measurable work tools. It has been found that a large proportion of youth workers use a film screening and discussion method to develop young people’s social skills. It is also worth noting that the idea of the project implementation came to the implementing partner after assessing the integration policy of changing convicts in Lithuania and noticing the critical need for work with young people and gaps in practical tools. The project partners have been selected from countries where the number of convicts also remains very high at EU level and the integration measures in place are not effective enough, with youth workers just starting to provide assistance to delinquent young people. In these countries, the role of the youth worker as an equal partner is not yet established. After assessing the critical need in Lithuania and discussing the project goal and progress with partners, it was decided to describe this project idea and pursue the set goals not only at the national but also at the international level.<< Objectives >>Through this project, we aim to contribute to the consolidation of youth policy by promoting the social inclusion of the target group, with the help of qualified youth workers, who will help young people to develop social skills, develop a sense of citizenship and democratic values. In the long run, this project will contribute to economic stability and growth, as those sentenced to imprisonment will reintegrate into the community and the labor market and become value-added creators. To achieve this goal, we set the following tasks:1) To analyse the reintegration programs applied by partners and socially advanced counties for convicts or young people who made a crime in the integration and the methods of reintegration of young convicts;2) To assess the readiness of youth workers to assist those sentenced to imprisonment in the reintegration process and to establish the role of the youth worker in the reintegration process by creating inter-institutional cooperation networks;3) To develop, apply and evaluate the methodology of developing social skills of young convicts;4) To publicize and promote the results of the project prepared for further use, to continue the activities started during the project and to maintain the established cooperation relations. The project is expected to achieve the following results:- raise awareness of partner organizations and youth workers in the partner country when working with young people prone to crime;- the quality of cooperation between youth workers' organizations and workers in different sectors will improve;- the quality of work with young convicts and the competencies of youth workers will improve;- the matching of opportunities and needs of participating young people with the labor market will be improved;- the basic and universal skills of the participating young convicts will be improved;- The methodology for developing social skills will continue to be used when working with young people in social difficulties.<< Implementation >>Taking into account the set goal of the project and the tasks to achieve this goal, the following activities will be carried out during the project implementation:1) Partner planning visit, activity and quality assessment planning, publicity, agreements with partners.2) Review of methods and policies, research of youth workers, analysis, systematization of information.3) Meetings-discussions (inter-institutional cooperation network) with youth workers, specialists of the education system, employment system, organization of integration of convicts, to actualize the situation and to clarify the needs; publicity.4) Development and publication of social skills training methodology, agreements with correctional or reintegration institutions; publicity of activities and results.5) Development of a training program for the training of youth workers and local training; publicity by providing an active link.6) Testing of training methodology in the project partner countries during the implementation of the program with young convicts or other young people prone to criminal activities, mentoring for youth workers; publicity by reference to the methodology.7) Evaluation of the methodology.8) Development of a training program for international youth workers and organization of training; publicity by reference to the methodology.9) Planning and implementation of an international dissemination conference using remote event organization tools; publicity by reference to the methodology.10) Meetings-discussions (inter-institutional cooperation network) with youth workers, education system, employment system, specialists in the organization of integration of convicts to present and further use the results of the project; publicity by reference to the methodology.11) Month XXIII: final meeting of partners, planning of further activities, self-evaluation, preparation of reports.<< Results >>After the implementation of the project:- raise awareness of partner organizations and youth workers in the partner country when working with young people sentenced to imprisonment or young people prone to crime;- the quality of cooperation between youth workers' organizations and staff in different sectors will improve;- the quality of work with young convicts or offenders and the competences of youth workers will improve;- the matching of opportunities and needs of participating young people with the labor market will be improved;- the basic and universal skills of the young people involved will be improved;- The methodology of developing social skills continues to be used in working with young convicts and young people prone to delinquency (prevention and intervention).Expected results of the project:- analysis of good policies, experiences and methods used by European countries in working with convicts and the development of a practical methodology for developing the social skills of young convicts while they are still serving a sentence of imprisonment or other means of punishment;- an international partnership has been set up between organizations from five different countries, involving a young organization which is just beginning to work on helping young convicts;- creation and development of local and international networks of youth workers;- local interinstitutional cooperation networks have been set up;- a study of the readiness of youth workers to work with convicts was carried out, revealing their attitudes towards the target group and the methods applied in practice;- 60 local meetings with representatives of different sectors were organized to discuss issues related to the implementation of the project through networking and strengthening the role of the youth worker;- 80 youth workers (20 from each country) took part in local training for youth workers, which improved the quality of work;- 20 youth workers use the described methods in their daily activities when working with young people experiencing social exclusion (5 from each country) through mentoring;- 120 young people convicted of a custodial sentence or a criminal offense took part in social skills training sessions and developed their competencies (30 from each country);- the training included 20 young workers with fewer opportunities (5 in each country) whose personal and professional abilities and skills improved during their participation in the project;- transnational trainings were attended by 25 youth workers from different countries (5 from each partner organization) who had the opportunity to learn and share good practice;- An international teleconference was organized to publicize the results of the project and to extend the use of the results to other areas, involving more than 200 stakeholders.

<< Background >>The number of youth (juvenile) offenders across Europe is declining in recent years. However, the number of youth re-offenders remains high. Several studies across European countries show that the vast majority (from 60-75%) of youth offenders are reoffending after their release. There are several reasons why this is the case, but the primary is their social disintegration. Specifically, juvenile offenders are less likely to find a job, therefore are more likely to struggle with issues such as poverty, housing and so on. Crucial for the lack of their employability is their lack of education (due to the fact that they are sentenced) and their awareness about key competences they need to develop to increase their employability. The proposed project aims to address this issue by working with local NGOs, CSOs and authorities to strengthen the employability of minors, youth at risk of offending or reoffending to increase their integration to the societies. Building on other relevant projects, we aim to strengthen youth offenders’ soft skills through high quality educational material on the development of key employability skills, such as soft skills. Providing training to the educators, who they will train the participants we aim to strengthen the efficiency of the provided education. At the same time, the proposed project aims at addressing the needs below:NEEDS OF MINORS, YOUTH AT RISK OF OFFENDING OR REOFFENDING Youth juveniles, or at risk of offending or reoffending, face discrimination and lack of opportunities in terms of employability. A key reason of their exclusion from the job market is the lack of employability skills, as those individuals are likely to drop-out from schools, and thus not receiving adequate education. The proposed project directly addresses the needs of these individuals’ by providing necessary training on soft skills, which are considered crucial as employability skills. NEEDS OF PARTNERS, NGOs and CSOsThe proposed project aims to meet the needs of the partner organisations and the targeted NGOs, CSOs, youth organizations. Despite the available guidance on employment opportunities and job seeking for minors or disadvantaged youth, there is a lack of systematic training, and collection of educational materials on how they can develop necessary skills for being employable. The materials and methodologies that will be developed during the project can be used from the youth organisations, NGOs and CSOs, who work closely with minors and youth at risk of offending / reoffending for the purpose of training but also guidance. This is particularly important as it complements to the need identified earlier for the provision of alternative, informal or non-formal, educational activities to youth across Europe.SOCIETAL NEEDS ACROSS THE EUThe problems of youth marginalization, youth poverty and youth unemployment across European countries is one of the key challenges identified by the EU. This project seeks to address this issue by strengthening the employability of youth people involved in the project.<< Objectives >>YOUTH REGAINED aims to: -Strengthen ex-convicted child offenders’ competences and basic skills in order to ease their transition to adulthood and support their integration in the labour market. -Develop activities focusing on the strengthening of inclusion and employability of child offenders as young people with fewer opportunities.-Support CSOs focusing on the protection and the re-integration of child offenders and encourage young people at risk of marginalisation to regain their life and place in the society.-Engage CSOs and stakeholders from the business sectors and educate them to eliminate the stereotypes related to child offenders post release employability.<< Implementation >>The project’s methodology is based on a participatory approach, which engages directly with the target group in all stages of its implementation. The project implementation is divided into four main phases: Research and training (PR1); OERs (PR2), Workshops and training (PR3), and Digital tools and network (PR4).PR1 entails the development of a Good practice guide that will be used so to raise awareness as regards effective, successful, socially sustainable, replicable education and learning methods and competencies in Europe, for minors and youth at risk of offending / re-offending, so to incorporate them in future schemes. Partners will carry out a study at local, national and European levels, in order to assess the needs, key competences and life-skills that child offenders lack and if acquired they would potentially affect positively their employability rates. PR2 will be the phase of the e-course’s development. The e-course developed for the YOUTH REGAINED project, will support and complete gaps in life-long learning education and will provide valuable soft-skills which will include but will not be limited to the following categories: a) communication; b) teamwork; c) work ethic; d) positive attitude; e) critical thinking; and f) leadership. The e-course will contribute towards strengthening minors’ competences and basic skills in order to ease their transition to adulthood and support their integration in the labour market. PR3 will focus on the provision of tailor-made training. In particular the project will organise educational and training workshops in partnership countries engaging minors and youth at risk of offending / re-offending and relevant CSOs and summarize their results into an awareness raising and policy toolkit for CSOs and youth organisations related to child offenders. Under PR4, the project will develop a virtual participatory platform in order to create a european network of young people sharing common experiences from detention centres, exchanging ideas as regards their status and competences, providing guidance and tips to each other related to job search and application. The platform will also engage Vulnerable youth plus youth organisations, CSOs and NGOs that will provide consultation to child offenders and ultimately post job vacancies and internship opportunities. The platform will also host the learning resources developed in previous project results such as the e-course and the toolkit. Finally, the platform will host an e-job fair, where participants will be able to come closer and engage with business representatives.<< Results >>The implementation of the project activities will entail the delivery of the following project results: -PR1.A needs assessment of key competences and life-skills that child offenders lack and if acquired their employability success rate would be considerably increased -PR2. An e-learning/e-course providing soft-skills which will include but will not be limited to the following categories: a) communication; b) teamwork; c) work ethic; d) positive attitude; e) critical thinking; and f) leadership. As part of this result, YOUTH REGAINED will pilot the e-course in local detention centres in consortium countries and also in vulnerable youth.-PR3. Organise educational and training workshops in partnership countries engaging ex-convicted child offenders and relevant CSOs and summarize their results into an awareness raising and policy toolkit for CSOs and youth organisations related to child offenders. -PR4. Develop a virtual participatory platform in order to create a European network of young people sharing common experiences from detention centres, exchanging ideas as regards their status and competences, providing guidance and tips to each other related to job search and application. The platform will also engage Vulnerable youth and youth organisations/CSOs/NGOs that will provide consultation to child offenders and ultimately post job vacancies and internship opportunities. The platform will also host the e-course and the toolkit. Finally, the platform will host an e-job fair, where participants will be able to come closer and engage with business representatives.Project outcomes:-Extend the competences of at least 200 ex-convicted child offenders as youth workers, working/collaborating with CSOs, youth organisations and cross sectoral grassroots, in order to foster their ability to enhance youth participation and to motivate youth to re-integrate in the society.-Enhance access to CSOs, youth organisations, and good practices to ensure youth employability.-Support minors or youth at risk of offending / reoffending and relevant CSOs to raise public awareness, to lead and contribute to the development of youth policies that promote active participation of youth and enhanced support and acceptance from employers. -Raise national and European awareness on the project’s activities and achievements and promote the project’s outputs and results to a wide range of stakeholders at local/regional/national and/or EU level.

In 2017, the EU was home to 21.6 million third-country nationals, accounting for 4.2% of the total population. Migrants (and refugees), either from EU countries or from outside the EU, actively contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of European societies. The successful integration of migrants into society in the host country is the key to maximising the opportunities of legal migration and making the most of the contributions that immigrants and refugees can make to EU development, as stated by the European Commission's Migration and Home Affairs. Action Plan on the Integration of Third Country Nationals (2016) provides a framework to support national policies and describes concrete measures for the Commission. One of the key actions is ‘Education, including actions to promote language training, teacher training and civic education’. The legislation and policies are constantly being improved, and their importance has been clear since a couple of decades. However, different studies carried in the EU (OECD) throughout the years show a more negative reality when it comes to actual integration. According to the Results of special Eurobarometer on integration of immigrants in the European Union:‘’Just over half (54%) of Europeans think that integration of immigrants is successful [...] Europeans tend to agree on the main factors that may facilitate or prevent integration of immigrants as well as policy measures that would support it such as offering language courses upon arrival (88%), improving integration programmes (85%) [...] Europeans say that integrating immigrants is a necessary investment in the long-run for their country and similar proportion view integration as a two way process in which both host societies and immigrants are responsible.’’ Our objective is to help bridge this gap between what the policies read and promise and the reality of what is happening. We offer a solution to a widespread problem where we look at the role of both sides and where the end results will also benefit both of them; SOCIAL INCLUSIONThere will be 6 participating partners on the project, coming from 5 different European countries. These partners will bring a mix of expertise and backgrounds in language and culture teaching, development of training material, teacher training, immigration and refugee educational programmes, intercultural and communication competences, emotional intelligence and further soft skills. Some partners have a vast experience in Erasmus+ projects, where only 2 are fairly new and will, thus, shed a different light upon the project. The ALL IN project will produce 3 Intellectual Outputs:-TRAIN THE L2 TRAINER: a 20 pill training course where language and culture teachers will learn about strategies of how to successfully implement soft skills such as rapport creation and empathy into their lessons and take full potential of both the language lessons as well as adult students to reach SOCIAL INCLUSION-ALL IN MANUAL: a manual that will not only help language teachers but also other stakeholders involved to enhance the effectiveness of language and culture programmes for immigrants and refugees. It will also include 20 practical activities & tools that can be used in the inclusion process and will also actively involve members of the host society. -TRUE STORIES: we live in visual world. Many people only believe things if they see and hear them from their peers. We will therefore create a Youtube documentary series of 24 episodes, where immigrants and refugees, as well as members of the host society, can talk about both successful stories as well as stories of those who are still working on their social inclusion. The aim of this IO is the uptaking of language and culture programmes by low linguistically skilled immigrant adults as well as the tackling of discrimination and putting a hold of fake news. These outputs are the core of the project and will be developed in cooperation between all the consortium's partners in 3 stages. Each output will be thoroughly tested before completion to ensure the durability and impact of the ALL IN project. All outputs produced will be freely accessible for the public within and beyond the project’s lifetime. The ALL IN project is likely to have sustainable direct impacts within and beyond the project lifetime on four main target groups: 1) Language and culture teachers. 2) Immigrant and refugee language and culture students in the process of integration.3) Institutions that offer language and training courses to adult immigrants and refugees.4) Members of the host society.By creating training tools, a manual as well as the practical tool & activity kit for language teachers, teacher trainers and academic managers and a documentary series, the consortium expects to achieve the overall objective of the project and a long term benefit for European Society: EFFECTIVE SOCIAL INCLUSION.
