The main idea of the programme “Ceci n’ est pas une ecole, C’est notre ecole!” is that prevention of school dropouts and non-discriminating integration of all students in the school community can be achieved with the development of a positive, creative, welcoming and friendly school environment; an environment which contributes to the equal development of creativity and uniqueness of each student, and the improvement of their self-esteem. The purpose of the programme, as described above, will be implemented with the use of various forms of art and technology. Art belongs to all, pupils, teachers, schools. In front of art all borders disappear and it can show what you really are and what you want to share. Five partners, the Music School of Arta from Greece (co-ordinator), Athenee Royal de Ganshoren from Belgium, Instituto de Educacion Secundaria La Flota from Spain, Istituto Di Istruzione Superiore “Enrico Fermi”from Italy and Agrupamento de Escolas de Nisa from Portugal, will work together on the implementation of a two-year programme .The students involved are 14-17 years of age. All activities realized during the programme derive from five fields; new technologies, drama, visual arts, photography and music. Five learning-teaching-training activities will take place in all partners’ schools and they will include creative-artistic workshops with the above topics covered, presentation of the results of the workshops, presentation of each country’s special features in each of the fields chosen, a joint exhibition of works of art and photography, a joint theatrical performance and a joint music event. The methodology used for the implementation of the activities entails team-working, active participation of every student, creative work, use of new technologies, visiting local authorities. The methodology used for the implementation of the programme entails goal-setting, activity scheduling, constant communication and collaboration among partners and activity evaluation through questionnaires. During the programme, the students are expected to develop communication and collaboration skills, express their creative side, realize the importance of art in the educational process, accept difference, improve their self-esteem, improve foreign language skills and experience a different educational system and a new cultural environment. Moreover, teachers are expected to work together and exchange educational practices and methods. Last but not least, students, teachers, families and local communities will take part in a unique experience and bonds of friendship among participating countries will be strengthened.

"In mid-September 2017 we successfully completed our project ""The Children of Europia"" with 7 schools from 6 countries. All the activities and meetings were harmonious, professional and very collegial and appreciative. This is certainly not least because some of the coordinators have already successfully worked together in previous projects and had already established close personal relationships. In the current project this has deepened. Due to the clear planning and organization in the run-up, all planned work could be processed with high quality and the project milestones could be achieved in a timely manner. For students as well as the teachers the participation in the project was exciting and enriching, which also clearly showed in the regularly conducted evaluations. For the students with special needs the project was even more a very special experience. Thanks to the project, they had the opportunity to gain completely new experiences and moments of sucess and pride, which will last the well beyond the duration of the project, and this has already spread to the class and school community during the project period. The content and thematic organization of the milestones (art and music, science, technology and work, society and democracy) was varied and highly interesting and consisted of a coherent overall picture. This was also reflected in our joint book ""The Children of Europia"" and our project song ""We are Europia"", which immediately became a ""superhit"" for everybody which was sung regularly (together with other songs) and even performed in public. That is why at this point we did not write another song about children's rights and we worked on this topic in a different way.The only further change to the planned project activities was the flashmob planned in the French public. This had to be omitted because of the security situation in France. We were very pleased with the public's interest in our project. Already at the very first coordinator meeting a TV team appeared and interviewed the project manager, the local coordinator and some students. This continued in all countries. Numerous contributions to newspapers and on television made the public aware of the project, partly on a regional, sometimes over-regional basis, whereby our project homepage (www.europia100.de) proved itself as a central information medium internationally. Here, all the information and results have been published and the website will remain in the public for years to come. The most important finding: EUROPIA and thus - EUROPE - can only work TOGETHER!"

Our students' needs and motivations are changing. In order to fight against the school dropout rate of some students, the lack of motivation of others, the reserve or disinterest of some parents and the increasing number of incivilities, we have chosen to make our high school students more involved in their training by participating in this European project. In addition, we feel that some of our students are withdrawn from others, that there is a lack of openness to others that calls to mind. The parallel with the current evolution of the European project seems obvious to us.The exit of the United Kingdom, the rise of nationalism in the EU, as well as the current reluctance to welcome migrants fleeing from war zones are also explicit. It therefore seems appropriate to make our students aware of the harmful speeches conveyed by public opinion, to make them think about the basics that have made it possible to forge this construction and see its benefits. This project aims to promote the intangible cultural heritage (oral traditions, customs and traditions, folklore, language styles, etc.) of life and values), natural heritage (natural sites, natural monuments) and tangible cultural heritage (monuments, buildings ...). Students will explore their cultural heritage by analyzing its meaning and significance, they will think about similarities as well as differences. This project aims to promote intangible cultural heritage, natural heritage and tangible cultural heritage. Students will explore their cultural heritage by analyzing its meaning and importance; they will thus reflect on the similarities and differences of Europe of yesterday and today. It will also be an extension of the identification of European citizenship and what the EU is.This project will allow our students to:- awaken their European conscience-reflect on European citizenship and its values-understand the characteristics of Europe and that the other is a source of wealth-identify European culture - cultivate respect, tolerance towards our different cultures-develop transversal skills such as self-confidence, motivation in relation to learning situations, verbalization as a mode of expression of one's emotions- validate both formal and informal learning- acquire the ability to interact with partner students through the use of foreign languages- giving new meaning to school or training by upgrading the school curriculum in which they are engaged in the eyes of our students- regain self-confidence, have a positive image, the taste, the desire to progress- To arouse desires: to travel, to study or work in the EU- make you want to collaborate with people from other countriesTo achieve these ends we will use different strategies:- At the launch of the project, students from 5 schools:will take a quiz on their knowledge of the EU and a survey on European citizenship will analyze different documents on the EU chosen in advance by teachers from the 5 countriesthey will fill out online questionnaires- We will encourage interaction between the students of the 5 schools before, during and after the mobility. Joint activities via-eTwinning will be organized, joint work will be prepared in advance before each mobility.- Working groups of 10 students from different countries will be set up to facilitate joint work during and outside mobility.- regular communication with families to involve them in their child's project.- creation of an eTwinning project which will allow pupils to better consider their citizenship and belonging to the European community, will accentuate the learning of languages and the discovery of other cultures. The peculiarity: even students who do not benefit from mobility will feel investedThe students involved in this project are for a large part from rural, modest or even disadvantaged backgrounds, failing or dropping out of school (on average 25% of enrollment or more), many scholarship students (around 45%) and from immigration. Without this European funding, they will never have the chance to travel and see what is going on in other EU countries. The establishments will constitute pairs of pupils (failing or dropping out of school and succeeding), this diversity within the establishments will be a source of enrichment and will contribute to establishing a spirit of mutual aid conducive to combating school demotivation. experience students will be solicited around different events, in order to highlight the European dimension of the project, for example during Europe days, Erasmus Days, open days in their establishments and in their cities. This project will allow the students of the 5 schools to acquire a better knowledge of the EU and the awareness of being full European citizens, we are all convinced of this. The results of this project will be presented to different communities and put online for better visibility.

"The rise of nationalism, intolerance and the disaffection of European citizens vis-à-vis Europe concerns us. It seems to us that the communication on Europe, too materialistic, has forgotten the humanist dimension of the European project. Thus, many European citizens no longer know the fundamentals underlying the construction of the U.E. its values which constitute one of the reasons of the Union. Faced with this observation, which is not without consequence for the very durability of Europe itself, In our opinion, it is essential to carry out a civic work whose aim is to remind our students of the fundamental values of freedom, democracy, peace, tolerance, solidarity and non-discrimination.The study of artistic engagement seems to us an interesting gateway to highlight among our students, also future citizens, the values that are at the base of the construction of the U.E. To give to see the world, to put it in light to better understand it is indeed intimately related to the artistic approach. And many artists have taken a stand to guide us in our confrontation with the world, using their art to do so.Highlight the struggles of artists, past and present, to highlight the values that lead the way to better living in our societies (these values that are the foundation of the U.E. it is thus to raise the questioning, the awareness of our students and to offer them another vision of the European project. In fact, we also want them to understand the ongoing fighting in the U.E. and encourage them to take an informed position and thus to grasp their European citizenship. Our project is thus primarily a citizen project: it is about understanding Europe, knowing the humanist fundamentals that are at the origin of the European project and encouraging our students to stop them , the questioning, the awareness necessary to the citizen approach. Thinking around the works involved, encourage our students to post their points of view, to defend causes ... it is also to remind them that taking a stand is an eminently citizen act. This project will also be an opportunity to concretely give life to European citizenship, especially during transnational meetings: during these special moments of exchange, students will be led to perform ""artistic"" performances on the theme of European values; it will be as many opportunities to present points of view, to defend them with the comrades of the different partner countries, to bring his stone to the realization of the ""work"" common.Because of the meeting with works and artists of all genres and eras, we intend, through this project, to promote the cultural enrichment of our students and we hope to develop their sensitivity and artistic creativity. Because by opening them to beauty, it is about arming them to life. This project will, of course, also provide opportunities to get to know each other and to learn from each other's points of view and visions. Going towards the other seems to us essential in a citizen approach. To work with European partners, to discover them, to create links with them, is to make it possible to overcome the anxiety that all too often arouses ""the other"" in our societies and which is a hindrance to the development of a real European citizenship .This is also why we want to integrate in the project pupils from 16 to 18, of heterogeneous levels, belonging to different teaching sections (general high school students and high school students). We do not doubt that this will be a source of enrichment and will help to establish a spirit of mutual aid.Our approach around this project also aims to work differently so that our students find a new interest in the lessons they are taught. By this it is a question of avoiding dropping out of school. We intend to build on the complementarity of our subjects to raise the level of skills of our students and validate both formal and informal learning. We therefore envisage a gain relative to learning at school (we are particularly thinking of the benefits that students will gain from the use of foreign languages, especially English, Spanish and French, because of the need to communicate with their counterparts. foreigners, directly or via the CTBT). Similarly, the opportunity to take initiatives will also help to make our students more involved in their training, which will also promote the development of self-esteem, a prerequisite for a ""fulfilled"" education"
