The project promotes the idea of self employment to young people as a viable route to employment and creates learning opportunities that enable them to explore this option further. For those that want to progress, it provides a new approach and a new pedagogy for entrepreneurship training using teams of Young Ambassadors, who are themselves successful young entrepreneurs to act as role models, deliver workshops and peer support through a young entrepreneur network. The project outputs include all the materials and resources that other organisations need to replicate the model which are stored on a content rich website together with training videos. The materials include a Training the Trainer pack for training the Young Ambassadors in workshop design, presentation skills, coaching and mentoring skills as well as an innovative curriculum and methodology for entrepreneurship education. There are a set of detailed entrepreneurship training modules complete with indicative content, trainer notes and a menu of activities. This is supported by a databank of web based multimedia materials so that the programme can be delivered on line as well as face-to-face.The incentive for this project was that outside the formal education system, existing structures for supporting young entrepreneurs are not working. The popular ‘one-stop-shop’ model presupposes that someone already has a business idea and focuses on how this can be taken to market. Young people need much earlier intervention to help them think creatively and generate the ideas. Also there is a problem of scale and the standard formal instruments (such as bank-generated business plans etc) do not meet the needs of, for example, the 16 yr old who wants to start a window cleaning round. Nor do the existing agencies actually provide real entrepreneurship skills training or help young people set up alternative business models such as social enterprises. There is no specific demographic targeted by the project but because all four partners are based in areas of high social deprivation, high unemployment, low educational achievement and an average of 25% of the population with household incomes below the official poverty line, many of the participants will be suffering from multiple disadvantage.A focus of the training for aspiring entrepreneurs is the embedding of communication, numeracy and IT skills into the technical training they receive in the workshops. The topics are also very different including using story-telling as a business tool, creating radio programmes about their business, using video workshops, creating digital histories and so on.Over 300 young people participated in the project and 20 other agencies and youth organisations participated in events to enable them to roll out the model to their own organisations.Impacts are measured using standard impact indicators drawn from ‘Effects and Impactof Entrepreneurship Programmes in Higher Education’ (European Commission DG Enterprise and Industry 2012). Although this is not a higher education project, it nevertheless has the same aim - to increase the numbers of young entrepreneurs. This report provides base-line data in 4 key dimensions against which the impact of enterprise education can be measured, Adopting the same measurement scales and data collection tools also allow comparisons to be made between the impact of this project against the impact of university entrepreneurship programmes. The most important targets for dissemination are policy makers and policy influencers and the medium term impacts will be a change in policy and a corresponding change in the nature of support available to young entrepreneurs which better matches their needs. If this can be effected, long term benefits will be an increase in the number of new entrepreneurs, improved viability of their businesses and a corresponding improvement in the regional economies.

The project idea wants to develop a training course for young entrepreneurs (age 18-30) and startuppers to let them able to mentor adults and elderly people on how to start a business, improving their “spirit of initiative”, develop a more entrepreneurial approach towards life, job, society. The mentoring relationship has always been focused on a special link between two actors in which the most experienced (usually the eldest) supports, encourages and inspires the one with less experience (very often a young person). Since 2010, Europe has experienced a “start-up phenomenon” and an increase in the discussion and initiatives around the topic of entrepreneurship as a mean to reduce youth unemployment. To face lack of jobs and increase in youth unemployment rates, European countries have started to promote programs, contests, financing opportunities for young people to start their own business, becoming entrepreneurs, trying to self-employ themselves. A new community of young people has been created with a development of new business skills, competences and visions. The idea behind the concept of “startup” has been strictly connected with a strong element of entrepreneurship education. Young people have been invited to take risks by becoming entrepreneurs, thinking out the box, improving their creative mindset, linking and networking with other people, presenting their ideas to venture capitalists, developing business plans, failing and starting all over again. A “start-up generation” is currently made of young people aged 18-30 all over Europe, from Italy to Spain, from Portugal to France. They have the same attitudes, they follow the same models, they have the same objectives. The project wants to exploit the current trend in order to “reverse” this idea bringing startuppers and young entrepreneurs to support adults (particularly those that have lost their jobs and have difficulties in finding a new one) and elderly people (retired but still very active and interested).

“L2L entrepreneurship, learning to learn entrepreneurship for low skill young people” is an EU wide partnership project designed to identify core and innovative learning methods that best encourages success in entrepreneurship activities for startup and entrepreneurs. The project is based on the results and experience acquired in a previous project called “Let's, Learning to learn” for senior workers.Education of young people and entrepreneurship are one of the most EU important concerns. Indeed in this period of crisis the level of education is very important for the employability and successful entrepreneurial initiatives of young people which could revive the economic growth.Through the guide of experts on this area our partners countries will contribute with their wide experience finding best practices, case studies, lessons learnt and future opportunities. During the project we will deliver training and practical entrepreneurship education among training providers from partner’s countries. We will design an innovative training course for entrepreneurs that will serve as a guide to solve the special needs for low skill young people and entrepreneurs to get the proper training in essential aspects of the entrepreneurship process, through the cooperation of the partners. The training course will be complemented with an e-learning platform that will work in both ways, one as support for trainers in face to face course, but also in distance and on-line training and in a third place we will create a youtube channel with video lessons to reach the largest possible amount of public and video testimonials to encourage our audience to take the course through the testimonials of the users that will help as a dissemination tool. This partnership focuses on the development of trainers’ capability to motivate and enhance young employed and unemployed persons’ participation in lifelong learning. Low skilled young people face many difficulties in acceding to training, mainly because of their low motivation/confidence in own capabilities to manage theoretical contents. They lack in the “Learning to learn” and entrepreneurship key competences. In order to develop their willingness to accede education, a team of specialised trainers must be built, the latter developing their own competencies through some different informal ways and a share of experiences with experts belonging to other Countries. To fulfill these objectives we have created the international network, composed by 6 organizations, in five different European countries:- A young entrepreneurship association, AJEV (Spain)- An consulting company specialized in entrepreneurship, training and internationalization, FyG Consultores (Spain)- An organization for support and promotion of modern education and entrepreneurship, Employability Town (UK)- An University, University of Thessalys (Greece)- A non profit organization for research and training, ERIFO (Italy)- A supplier of innovative solutions ICT, ASSIST Software (Romania)This consortium will collaborate during two years (from 1st September 2015 until the end of August 2017). During this time the consortium will work together and organize five transnational meetings (Kick off, Intermediate, Final meetings, more 2 pilot meetings). During those meetings we will put in place the e-learning platform, training course, and youtube channel. L2L entrepreneurship for low skill young people partners will disseminate the future results in seminars and conferences to the interested parts and preferred stakeholders.

The project has been designed in line with the notion of financial literacy and its significance on the financial inclusion of young people and improvement of entrepreneurial skills of young entrepreneurs through finance in a technological and innovative pattern. A number of international surveys and PISA tests, have evidenced a rather low level of understanding of financial matters and of basic economics among the average financial consumer. Even relatively straightforward financial products can appear quite complex to the average citizen who has little or no financial education. The lack or low level of financial literacy exposes the citizens to the risk of falling into debt, and of experiencing difficulties in the event of some unexpected adverse circumstance. It also makes it harder for individuals to ensure a satisfactory standard of living in retirement. So from the designed project view, the financial education is all about improving the financial well-being of individuals and society. By the general acceptance, from the project view, also it is essential to promote financial education amongst students and youths from an early age, as the knowledge and skills acquired by them at that stage will serve them in good stead as they progress through life. In this sense, the main objectives of the project is to develop a curriculum for financial literacy learning and implement this by scenarios to an innovative instrument, game-based learning tool, to improve the financial literacy competences of young people in Turkey and Spain, and develop a curriculum based on exploitation of serious game in financial literacy training and education. The project also aims at enhancing the European context of using technology and innovation in training and education in full accordance with the EU 2020 Strategy in general and the EU Agenda 2020 for Entrepreneurship in particular. The target group of the project is 1.000 young people from between ages 15-25 from different background in Turkey and Spain. Alongside with them, stakeholders representing universities, Ministry of Education, private and public institutions from financial sector will also be expected to participate in the project activities and beneficiaries of the project. Moreover, through the dissemination of the project via online instruments such as website and social media accounts, it is expected that the project will be able to reach out about 10,000 people. Within the project, a series of activities will be held including development phase through which the Turkish and Spanish games will be developed; transnational meetings of the partners at which the issues of the projects will be discussed, production of intellectual outputs, and multiplier events to disseminate the project outputs and results. A methodology titled 'Strategic and Operational Management' will be used to carry out the project from managerial point of view. Within the production of the game, a specific and advanced technological algorithms and software development systems will be used by the experts. At the end of the project it is expected that the financial competences of young people will improve, hence, their participation in the financial decision-making processes will be increased and more young entrepreneurs will enter into the world of entrepreneurship. Moreover, financial literacy education and training, currently, held within conventional methods, in Turkey and Spain will be technology based. Last and not least, the European added-value within the sector and through the cooperation of partners from Finland, Spain and Turkey will be strengthened, and the project will make contributing to the relations between Turkey and the EU through financial literacy that is included within the Chapter 9 Financial Services of the Acquis.
