We, as educational institutions (Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Greece and Spain), are extremely concerned about our responsibility towards this situation and aim at raising our students’ awareness about it. Hence, we truly believe that our project will highly contribute to this purpose. The main objective of our project is to make our students conscious of the need to take care about our environment and its sustainability. This will be done through a common thread: a natural park research. This main task along with others will contribute to achieve these objectives: foster key competences for lifelong learning; raise awareness about environment and current climate emergency; improve linguistic and ICT skills; increase knowledge of environment and legal terminology; raise awareness of our natural heritage; highlight democratic participation; develop ability to take initiative, problem solving, collaborative work; boost European citizenship feeling; increase knowledge of European legislation on natural environments protection; foster critical thinking; showcase recycling and reusing. Our selected priorities are: Environmental and climate goals; Common values, civic engagement and participation; Social and educational value of European cultural heritage. Our objectives are directly linked to them as the main one is make our students conscious of the need to take care about our environment. We also mean to create common values by developing the feeling of European citizenship. Finally we aim at sharing our European heritage by getting to know our natural parks. Our project is mainly addressed to pupils (from 15 to 17) because its objectives mostly focus on them. Five students and two teachers from each country will participate in each mobility. However, the project is designed to involve a wider number of participants. As there will be activities before, during and after mobilities, a great number of participants will be able to participate, and most activities will be integrated in normal lessons. Besides, through eTwinning, the project will be accessible for all participants. The managerial staff will also be involved, supporting project management aspects, mainly. Concierges or administrative staff will also get involved in some stages of the project. Another important group of participants is the families. They will be informed and get involved from the very beginning, as they need to know all projects’ aspects deeply so that they are confident to let their children participate. Finally, we will count on other local participants: authorities, experts, media…There will be a leading activity for each mobility, along with minor tasks. For C1 a research about a natural park will be done. During each mobility we will hike in the natural park chosen by each country. For C2 we will investigate on the European legislation on natural parks and check whether it is applied in each country. To improve knowledge of environment and legal terminology, a multilingual glossary on this topic will be made. The next step will be to agree on a list of commandments for sensible behaviour regarding our natural surroundings and environment sustainability (C3). We will also focus on the importance of recycling and reusing our rubbish by making a piece of art of recycled material. For C4, we will have a meeting with the staff in charge of managing the natural park so as to find out what is done for its promotion and maintenance. For C5 we will record a short film to raise awareness about the need of sensitive behaviour towards our environment and the sustainability of our planet, and design a contest to check how much we have learnt. For project implementation active learning methods will be applied: collaborative work, task and challenge based learning, peer learning, critical thinking and problem solving tasks…All activities will end up in tangible and intangible results. There will be digital documents with the research of each natural park and photo album of the visits. We will record videos of the meetings. A digital multilingual glossary will be produced. We will keep record of each activity, which will be shared mainly in eTwinning. Regarding intangible results, our students will be more aware about our planet, more motivated to speak English…Considering the aims and planned activities of this project, a considerable beneficial impact is expected on all participants. At the end of the project the experiences and insight gained will continue to be used by all target groups. The institutions will use them in further projects. The schools will continue to use the products and benefit from them as part of our school routine. The project results will be active on dissemination platforms and developed with further experience. Pupils will broaden their mind as European citizens and grow as human beings with critical and conscious thinking.

The focus was to encourage teachers to teach in a more motivating way by aid of students. The goal was to decrease gender-based underachievement, create new peer-to-peer learning methods and give a perspective how maths act in everyday life. There is sometimes low self-esteem among students when studying maths which relates to other learning difficulties too. By giving new ideas and opportunities for participants, institutions, teachers and the most important students, we created a toolkit to help reduce early school leaving. Our project worked as a company so there was entrepreneurship as a tool, but also a career choice for some of the students. The use of the entrepreneurship was a result from other European Union funded Erasmus+ project where good practises had been formed. DITUM put a very valuable school subject as a spearhead for new type of learning, available to every partner and beyond. The students used their everyday tools and platforms to create new learning methods, for example maths in everyday problem-solving, social studies and artworks. We also used existing specialists from worklife to explain how a school subject from classroom turns into a fascinating career choice. For those not seeking an academic career in other institutions, our project gave ideas how mathematics is an essential part in economy and in running business, as well as a tool in many professions. Finally, at the end of the project all our products are given to any willing to use them. There is eTwinning for visitors, EU database and open sources such as Youtube available to all.Our group consisted of five partners. The main coordinator was a medium-sized school in Finland. Spain and Germany are big schools with lots of different age groups. Bulgaria and Italy are classical schools, and the Bulgarian is specialized in math studies. All the partners have had experience from previous projects, and all have certain special added value for the project. Therefore we expected good and ambitious results, which were then reached, according to the evaluation of teachers involved. In DITUM, we had checked the existing curriculum, which is almost similar in each country. Our idea was to change local curriculum into a student-friendly direction. When Europe is struggling with political problems, this kind of cooperation gives positive image in local, regional and also in national level of what advantages Erasmus+ program can offer. All the partners have good contact for dissemination, and our dissemination plan is carefully planned to have impact for example in national maths teacher union (Finland). Without funding there is no chance to start project like this one, but after funding the results are alive and free for all.

This project gives entrepreneurship for answer both Europe and our students. The project is aimed for new approaches of teaching entrepreneurship. The goal for students is to give idea of being entrepreneur in school environment. During the project there will be six small companies with different ideas, markets, skills and school curricular subjects. Each of these companies will give possibility for differents types of learners. To try the entrepreneurship is one way to open perspectives for new career choises for students, which, in our opinion, is a good way to prevent early school leaving and increase motivation among students. The project emphasize the of learning by doing, but at the same time using new technologies and methods, which gives extra value for schools too. The participating schools will open new approaches for co-operation with existing businesses and local authorities. This kind of co-operation might be new for schools, and also for local partners as the ideas come from young students who are tomorrows consumers, workers and hopefully, entrepreneurs. All these activities have an international aspect too. Modern day Europe need internationally active schools and students. All our activities are done both local and international language, and we get to know cultural aspects of six differents countries and, in the end, get the know-how for business with our partners. Everything is done in a safe school environment and results shown in EU-based programs that also are safe for students. For our schools, located in Finland, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Italy, both international aspect and entrepreneurship are new methods for school environment. Some are more experienced than others, and there are great chances share ideas of best practises and experiences. By the end of the project we want to see entrepreneurship as permament part of our local school curriculum. We also want to continue this international co-operation after EU funding with smaller projects and possibly friendship school activities. The best achievement in more distant future is to see our students actually to become entrepreneurs themselves, and even better in multicultural, international environment. With this project there are benefits in local, regional, national and international level.
