The topic was the place of women in the European Union. The objective was to compare the situation in four European countries, to promote gender inclusion by fighting against female-male stereotypes and to develop action plans within the schools. This cross-disciplinary project, which took place from September 2018 to February 2021, linked 4 schools in 4 different European countries: Lycée Alfred Mézières in France, Ventspils 3.vidusskola in Latvia, Mário Sacramento Secondary School in Portugal, Colegiul National Mihai Viteazul in Romania. The language of communication was English but an introduction to the 4 languages of the countries is also planned. The first meeting in Romania, in September 2018, involved only the teachers of the project and enabled to decide the basis of the programme. Four learning activities were planned to take place, involving short-term exchanges of groups of pupils: - in November 2018 in Portugal; - in March 2019 in Latvia; - in October 2019 in Romania;- because of the Covid-19 crisis, the last learning activity in France in March 2020 was cancelled. In 2 years, the project enabled 77 students from 15 to 18 years old to travel. Three domains were studied in detail during the learning activities (women and the family / women in the workplace / women in sports and culture), while one topic was tackled during the whole project inside each school: women in schools (equality in education). Each country worked on this topic in their school, thus impacting the whole school. During each learning activity, the participants were able to do a comparative analysis, attend a conference on the topic, discuss and debate on the topic. It was also the opportunity for them to discover the cultural and historical heritage of each area as well as the language of the country. The discussions led to the creation of resolutions that were sent to the European Parliament’s commission for women’s rights and gender equality (FEMM). The project also aimed to produce a guide of actions that can be done in schools to study and promote gender equality in schools. The objectives of this project were manifold and it had different targets: - for students: higher self-confidence, in English but also on an interpersonal level (development of linguistic and communicational skills) / development of transversal and digital skills / better awareness of European citizenship and gender equality. - for teachers: professional development through a new teaching method based on integrated subjects and through the discovery of other school systems. - for schools: a stronger dynamic inside the school (thanks to team work) and outside the school (better visibility and attractiveness thanks to the dissemination work).

According to IPCC by the year 2100 Europe’s emissions of greenhouse gasses should be reduced to 0% in order to limit the global warming to 2 degrees. Together we, four European schools from The Netherlands, France, Italy and Lithuania, want to find a route to a sustainable future for the next generation in Europe and, by extension, elsewhere. At the same time our school boards share the need to motivate students in order to get better (exam) results, also from excellent students, more students who choose challenging scientific studies and less absenteeism and drop outs. By working on the topic of Climate Change we aim to enhance our education in two ways:1. strengthening the profile of the teaching profession. 2. getting the students to learn in innovative ways. During two years we are planning to travel to each school to learn from experts about solutions for ‘Europe 2100’. We will have a constant participation of 2 teachers (the accepted minimum in international exchanges) and 10/12 students. Each visit will have a theme related to sustainability: 1. Beverwijk, November 2015: ""Climate Change"" and ""The End of the Conventional Energy Supply"",2. Desenzano, March 2016: ""Sustainable lifestyle, Sustainable Transport and Food"",3. Vilnius, October 2016: ""Energy Efficiency for a Sustainable Future"",4. Longwy, March 2017: ""Sustainable Waste Management"" and ""The EU Policy for a Sustainable Future"", 5. Texel, June 2017: ""A Carbon Free Future"".During the five-day Meetings students will attend the experts’ lectures, go on excursions (for example in Holland to a windmill farm or in Lithuania to a pump storage power plant and closed nuclear plant) . Together during the meeting they will produce their presentations for Ted Talks, to be delivered peer-to-peer when they return to their country. They will also attend English language lessons on the topic, so they acquire the specific jargon. After each exchange teachers of different subjects from the host country will develop an interactive Learning and Teaching Module. This will be a high-quality product, deriving from the results and outcomes of the lectures and will be available on our Learning Portal and on Twin Space for teachers and students to use. In the months after each visit, the Module will have a follow up in the form of project days in each school. These projects may consist in Ted Talks, CLIL lessons or similar initiatives. In the Netherlands teachers familiar with the topics will take part using the SVOK-academy. Around 300 persons per school will benefit from these activities. The expected impact is manifold. We aim to see long-term results on four levels:1. Students will be more motivated for school by gaining autonomy and being able to change the future by finding solutions for the climate problem. They also enhance their cross-curricular competence, develop their language skills and European citizenship.2. Teachers discover new teaching methods using the Learning Portal and gain high-level knowledge on the topic of sustainable development. Also, they learn to work in interdisciplinary teams, and are motivated to go abroad for their professional development. 3. Schools will be more attractive and have better results because of the strengthening of the teaching profession and increased motivation among students who will have better education, better results and fewer dropouts. Also, the schools will have created contacts with national institutions and research centres and become more international-oriented. 4. Outside our schools, we will spread the new teaching / learning methods and the sustainable solutions for ‘Europe 2100’ by promoting the Learning Portal. With the multiplier event on Texel (June 2017) we will disseminate our results also to people outside our local network. The results and impact described above will be made sustainable by continuing to work together as one project team after 2017. The resources needed will be provided by the schools but we intend to apply for a new Erasmus+ project between 2017- 2019. We expect to be able to take the following actions:1. the Learning Portal will be promoted with the four learning Modules on ""Europe 2100: A sustainable Future for European Youth"" as teaching resources and for individual e-Learning. Each school will apply the expertise in e-Learning developed with the Learning Portal and the four Interactive Modules to new educational contexts,2. Peer-to-peer learning will be taken in each school as a model to be extended to different educational contexts,3. contacts with the ocal school network and authorities will be enforced for further initiatives and collaboration. These activities will ensure the long-term dissemination of results, using the motivation of the international Project Team and each school's human, intellectual and digital resources."

Beyond the promotion of the linguistic and cultural richness of the European Union, our project stimulates creativity and develop cross-cultural competences. It also aims at remotivating youth mobility in Europe, especially in the context of the Covid-19 crisis. The project, which will take place from May 2021 to April 2023, will link 5 schools in 5 different European countries: Lycée Alfred Mézières in France, I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Adama Mickiewicza w Sulęcinie in Poland, IES Cantabria in Spain, Convitto nazionale Mario Cutelli in Italy, Klara Teoretiska Gymnasium Vallgatan in Sweden. The language of communication will be English but an introduction to the 5 languages of the countries is also planned so as to enhance plurilingualism too.Our project will reinforce cross-cultural comparison by combining digital contact via eTwinning and physical contact via the learning activities. Our exchange project will thus be hybrid.A kick-off transnational meeting in Spain, in May 2021, will involve the teachers of the project and will enable them to organize the final details of the project.Five learning activities will take place, involving short-term exchanges of groups of pupils aged between 15 and 17 years old. Each mobility will gather 32 students, along with 10 teachers:- in October 2021 in Poland;- in January 2022 in Sweden;- in April 2022 in Spain;- in November 2022 in Sicily;- in March 2023 in France.During the learning activities, students will learn more about mobility opportunities via a conference. They will also collaborate and exchange through multinational workshops. Finally, they will develop their European citizenship and will experience a new culture by sharing their cultural backgrounds and their local cultural offer, by sharing their partner’s family life, by learning their partner’s language and cultural reality and by enhancing their knowledge about Europe. The project will lead to three creative productions:* the creation of a tool to encourage the mobility: a booklet composed of mobility sheets to present the different possibilities of mobility as well as tips to help preparing the mobility. This tool will be available for all students online on the schools' website and in a ""mobility corner"" in each school.* the organisation of a ""Mobility Fair"" (an exhibition along with talks) in each school so as to give information and motivation to all the students of the schools and other local schools to take the first step abroad.* the creation of videos promoting the partners' country, culture and local cultural heritage. The objectives of this project are manifold and have different targets:- for students: higher self-confidence, in English but also on an interpersonal level (development of linguistic and communicational skills) / development of transversal and intercultural competences / development of ICT and creative skills / learning about the cultural heritage of each country / better awareness of European citizenship and better knowledge of the European Union.- for teachers: professional development through new teaching methods and through the discovery of other school systems / discovery of the cultural heritage of each country / development of intercultural and English skills.- for schools: a stronger dynamic inside the school (thanks to team work) and outside the school (better visibility and attractiveness thanks to the disseminating work)."
