According to the US Media Literacy Index report, fake news inEurope are considered much more reliable where three variables predominantly occure: level of education, freedom of the media and social trust. By averaging these three elements, Italy and Portugal are in the more or less median part of the ranking, while countries such as Lithuania and Bulgaria are among the last for each category. Spain has been at the center of a recent scandal on Twitter, which has closed many accounts with Spanish ID that spread fake news and made pro-government propaganda with fake news. Denmark, on the other hand, represents an admirable example for each variable, for example reaching a score of 70 points about the usability and freedom of the media and its participation will be crucial in the implementation of the project. Precisely for this reason the main objectives of the project are:-provide the tools to counteract disinformation and the phenomenon of fake news in an active way- Development of a critical attitude towards information with low reliability- Improvement of the usability of the opportunities of the European Union, through the promotion of European information channels- More responsible use of online media by young peopleThe selected participants will be boys and girls between 20 and 30 years old, 8 from each country. For being protagonists of the digital age in which we find ourselves, it is necessary to provide them tools to manage the Internet world, especially in terms of information and community policies from which they can benefit. Specifically, the project is aimed at these young people, in particular to those who are in situations of risk of social exclusion and who therefore have fewer opportunities than their peers participate in similar experiences. These are people who for geographical, economic and / or social reasons do not have the opportunity to travel, get to know people from other countries and live enriching experiences from a personal and professional point of view. In fact, many of these young people live in remote regions and not very connected with themetropolitan centers, or find themselves in economic difficulties that do not allow them to grow and make full use of their skills, or still live unfavorable family or social conditions. Once the participants have been selected, 5 workshops dedicated to the topic of fake news will be organized: through non-formal educational activities, it will be analyzed statistics on the incidence of the phenomenon in the various countries , government policies and social initiatives put in place to combat the problem (highlighting best practices), some of the main fact-checking tools will be addressed with the participants, testing them with a final simulation. Participants will gather the materials and skills learned to develop a toolkit, as the final result of the project. This will be available for free in PDF format and will be a tool made available to every European citizen in order to learn about the best practices adopted in various European countries at a political, social and legal level to counter the phenomenon of fake news and to learn firsthand how to use fact-checking tools. At the conclusion of the workshops, it will be organized a ""Blended"" mobility at the Portuguese partner's headquarters, to give wide visibility to the project, involving the participants directly to promote the launch of the toolkit, which will take place at the end of the third transnational meeting. The expected results therefore concern an increase in awareness at community level of the problem of fake news, of their impact on civil society and of the danger they constitute to solidarity at European level. Furthermore, the collection and exchange of good practices adopted to combat fake news, starting from a study of the sources, of the functioning of the fact-checking IT tools will be useful to citizens to have concrete tools to become actively involved in the detection of fake news. Providing digital skills to citizens, giving them a collection of good practices adopted in Europe against fake news will be the main impact of the project in the long run, thanks to a free toolkit that will be always available to everyone and will ensure its sustainability even involving other countries not directly involved."

The green future needs to start with upgrading the peoples’ skills and understanding of what needs to be changed to achieve sustainable development. This means also big changes in education, training, and lifelong learning, as environmental awareness will need to be mainstreamed in all curricula. Vocational Education and Training (VET) has a prominent place as a driver for environmentally sound and sustainable social and economic development in Europe, and in achieving the United Nations (UN) 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) on quality education, good jobs, and economic growth. The transition to a more sustainable economy offers much potential for job creation and the promotion of decent work, however, requiring that specifically, VET will have to adapt to accompany and benefit from the opportunities arising from the green transition, and the emergence of environmentally friendly technologies in a wide range of professions. Teaching and learning are fundamental for making the green transition real, but it will not happen without the awareness, knowledge, and skills to drive it forward. To ensure the VET provider’s capacity to anticipate and readiness to respond, VET programmes must be developed for new professional profiles linked to greening, and VET teachers must be equipped with the required green skills and knowledge on the full sustainability potentials of their own field. On this basis, the aim of the GreenVETnet project is to spark interest and act as an agent in advancing the skills development among the VET teachers and institutions required for the green transition.<< Objectives >>In line with the goals of the new Erasmus+ programme putting priority on supporting the European Green Deal and reflecting the importance of skills, knowledge, and attitudes on environmental change and sustainable development as enablers to the green transition in the European Union (EU) and beyond, the proposed project aims to work on the overall development objective to further mainstream the integration of sustainability aspects in VET by enhancing the competences (of staff involved in VET) on sustainable development. One of the key questions is how, practically, education and training, and skills can develop and support the green transition, for what reason, the project aims to identify a set of so-called core green skills that should be incorporated in VET programmes. Based on the agreed consensus, the project plans to establish a methodology for educators’ skills training in some of the key sectors that come with the greatest opportunity for growth of green jobs that support sustainable development (including hospitality management and tourism, business and administration, logistics/transport, manufacturing, and construction sector) with the goal to enhance the VET educator’s skills and knowledge on sustainability potentials of their own field. Further, the project will create a platform for peer-learning, exchange of experiences and know-how, as well as identification of best practices on how VET can act as a bridge to the sustainable development of working life and supporting the green transition, finally making a wider impact on the society.<< Implementation >>To reach these goals and better equip the European VET to educate new generations of sustainable future agents, the GreenVETnet project plans activities at various levels. Throughout the project, with the goal to come up with a consensus on the core green skills in different fields of VET and establish a solid response to equip the teachers and institutes with the right tools, the consortium will work together by virtual means and physically during five planned transnational meetings. As one result of this work, the consortium will establish a common methodology to design and implement five strongly experimental learning, teaching and training activities (LTTA) targeted for VET educators from the above-mentioned fields. The project will design and launch a GreenVETnet online portal, showcasing the results and materials produced during the project. Further, the project will organise a high-level webinar gathering the VET leaders and experts advancing sustainability integration in the European VET institutes.<< Results >>Through the set of activities implemented, the project will further strengthen skills on sustainable development and knowledge on the green potentials of different fields of education among the VET professionals. Putting the focus on identifying the core green skills and making suggestions on how to incorporate them into different fields of study will harmonise their mainstreaming through VET programmes. By getting the professionals engaged and equipping them with the knowledge and tools enabling the effecting development of green and climate-responsive pedagogical and institutional capacities, the outcome of the project will be upskilling the European VET institutions in the development and implementation of green strategies enabling transform their learning and training environments prepared for skilling professionals for green jobs and greening of economies, finally, contributing into the wider green transition.

Following the Europe 2020 Strategy towards a more intelligent, sustainable and inclusive growth of the economy and society, we want to take a step towards flexible and high quality education and training systems that respond to current and future needs. Our objectives will be: to enhance the digitalization of educational guidance through specific and useful tools at European level; to promote the exchange of best practices in order to provide concrete solutions in the implementation of a quality and collaborative educational guidance system; to limit early school leaving due to inadequate choices; to provide continuous strategic communication on the prospects for results at the decision-making level in educational authorities and public institutions. The direct participants of the project will be about 1200 among high school students, teachers, guidance counsellors and school directors, trainers; while indirectly more than 8000 people will benefit, including also education and training policy makers, parents and adult learners' reference persons, other stakeholders, new students and young people, decision makers and policy initiatives. The main activities of the project will be:1) Research of the main existing methods and exchange of best practices, with proposals for new techniques and strategies to guide the choice of higher education studies or future work.2) Creation, experimentation and adaptation of two intellectual outputs, very useful at educational level: two innovative and specific digital tools for student guidance and for training motivated and well prepared young people to face the challenges and demands of the labour market. The O1 ""FutureCareer"" is a pedagogical platform with online guidance value to support students in identifying the different representations of the main aspects and knowledge of the different professions. The O2 ""PRO.Guiding"" is a web portal of educational itineraries carried out with the methodology of educational guidance didactics diversified by disciplines in order to share trajectories of excellence and good pedagogical practices that serve as an example and help in daily practice.3) Three Transnational Meetings, two Short Training Events for staff, teachers and guidance counsellors and one Final Joint Mobility with 30 European students.4) Important phase of dissemination and sustainability of the materials and intellectual results of the project, with several local events and concrete activities that will culminate in a Final Multiplier Event in Madrid.A participatory methodology will be used, aimed at the active contribution of all the partners and subjects involved, the valorization of the good practices of each country and the innovation of the intellectual results. Our project will have a real outcome and impact on the educational community at European level: teachers and guidance counsellors will obtain new competences and strategies in an educational and vocational training context; students will learn about professional and educational careers, which greatly supports students' participation, retention, commitment to learning, performance and progression to the next level or to work, and thus they will be able to compete in the labour market as future professionals. The partner schools and institutions will create a strong link and continue to cooperate when the project is completed. The long-term benefits will be seen as an improvement in the quality of education and training in the partner institutions and in European education policies.Based on these considerations, after the end of the project, each organization will become a national reference for the different products developed in order to ensure the continuity of all actions, their visibility and accessibility. The digital tools created will be in constant renovation of information, the material will be freely accessible and downloadable. The multiplication of the availability of the results in different countries will guarantee the continuity of the main idea of the project benefiting different educational communities, responsible for educational policies, in the theme of educational and vocational orientation which means a better support and understanding towards this theme."
