At ‘Libraries of Things’ (LoTs) or ‘tool libraries’, members can borrow for free, or at a low cost, from a range of items, reducing the quantity of items they need to purchase new, use perhaps only a few times, and eventually discard. This gives people the opportunity to participate in a circular economy and learn more about climate change. Piquing people’s interest through access to tools and equipment allows organisations to engage new audiences of people who are not necessarily usually engaged in climate change or sustainability issues. It makes the circular economy something easy to understand and attractive to be part of. When they learn how this has an impact on their carbon footprint, this can open channels to discuss other areas of climate change, especially through further training. It also gives people access to tools required to learn and practice a range of basic skills. While some people might be interested in learning sewing and mending, for example, this might not be something they will pursue without being able to use a sewing machine. LoTs can therefore offer a range of training opportunities and have a unique space to make these accessible to all, breaking down financial barriers to those who could benefit most. There are three partners in this project. Transition Stirling is an environmental organisation based in Stirling, UK, aiming to help people in Stirlingshire transition to a more resilient, sustainable way of living. This has been done through a series of projects including activities on woodland management, and since 2016, the establishment of the second tool library in the UK where 850 members borrow a range of do-it-yourself, gardening, and other equipment and run workshops on a range of skills such as growing food, sewing and mending textiles and furniture upcycling, a repair service and creative wood reuse workshop using waste wood to build items. Ziniu Kodas is a non-profit institution in Vilnius, Lithuania, working in different learning programmes for youth, the elderly and people with disabilities and has the mission to create an educated society and knowledge that would help to reduce social exclusion and to enable all members of our society to actively participate in the labour market. CWEP is an organisation located in Rzeszow, Poland, that aims at increasing the quality of education and training, often through the use of IT solutions and digital technologies. The aim of this project is to inspire and enable other organisations to establish LoTs in order to increase these opportunities for improving and extending the supply of high-quality learning opportunities for adults, supporting individuals in acquiring and developing basic skills and key competencies in creative ways and meeting environmental and climate goals. The project also aims at bringing together knowledge and experience of setting up LoTs in different social and economic contexts, making this information accessible to organisations who would like to set up new LoTs in other municipalities, regions and countries as well as ensuring that these are more accessible to people with fewer advantages.Examples of training that can be provided through LoTs:- Repair- Wood-working- Do-It-Yourself- Furniture upcycling- Sewing and mending textiles- Textile upcyclingProject goals will be achieved by creating an online interactive platform to catalogue information and resources from LoTs in other countries and offer advice to others in Europe to set up an LoT and to disseminate the findings of the project. A 'Libraries of Things Guide' will also be created with practical information to help potential LoTs learn how to set them up and organise the training opportunities described above. This second part of the project will include the delivery of three workshops in each partner country engaging 90 people. Efforts will be made to work with people with fewer advantages in these workshops. Transition Stirling will bring in experience setting up their own LoT in the UK by selecting the trainings related to repair and reuse workshops. Ziniu Kodas will lead on the inclusion of people with fewer opportunities in project activities that aim at offering participants skills development and inclusion through enhancing volunteers' skills in a range of areas such as wood-working. CWEP will develop new pedagogies and online digital technologies to make materials more accessible and easily understandable to participants. While many people are willing to share things with others, the sharing of everyday goods is lagging behind its potential in Europe. Only 33 of the 249 LoTs worldwide are in Europe, most of them in the UK (10) and Germany (9). This project could therefore have a massive impact by bringing new skills and competencies by raising awareness of the benefits of LoTs and increase the rate of establishment in Europe and encourage organisations and participants to take part in the circular economy.

According to Eurostat's January 2014 publication on Unemployment statistics for the year 2013 for the EU28, youth unemployment is one of the major challenges of EU employment policy .12.9% of those aged 15–24 in the EU28 are currently not in employment, education or training which corresponds to approximately 5.5 million young people. The ET-NEETs project aimed to develop, improve and provide innovative support and deliver significant impact on the quality and effectiveness of training available and offered to young adults who are from disadvantaged backgrounds and are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEETs) . These young adults are generally disproportionately affected by a lack of opportunities which has been accelerated through the ongoing economic crisis. This situation engenders a lack of motivation that affects not only their educational and work prospects but also their integration into society.Training programmes for NEETs incorporate a variety of elements to teach key competences and basic skills and are currently being designed and delivered by local governments, charities and NGOs. These training providers have had no platform to discuss experiences, problems, successes or results and therefore opportunities to exchange best practice have been missed. The project has worked together with its Target Groups to gather, analyse and produce data to support the development of a common framework for identifying indicators to measure successful training. The project has produced a Web Platform and used Social Media which, for the first time, has brought together training organisations from all levels (locally, nationally and EU-wide) which has enabled them to communicate, organise exchange and find methods of best practice. It has also allowed them to publish and evaluate their own methods and has assisted them to compare programs offered by other organisations using the web platform's Course Finder Matrix software tool. The findings and results produced from the gathered data formed a Final Report-Best Practices for Effective Training for NEETs. This report has been published onto the web platform and is available for stakeholders to download and use as a reference guide for training NEETs. The project designed and delivered two 5-day Pilot NEET Training courses where cross border mobility and motivation were major parts of the experience. The two courses were evaluated (including vital feedback from the NEETs) and the results recorded in a Pilot Performance Report(PPR). Furthermore the project team produced a video of the two PNT's and has published them onto the web platform. Please take a look: http://www.et-neets.eu/en/From the results of the Final Report on Best Practice and the Pilot Performance Report (PPR) the project team then designed and produce a course for teachers and trainers of NEETs to use called the Training Materials for NEET Teachers (TMNT). The TMNT includes elements, methods and techniques that have been tested and proved to be successful. The TMNT courses promote mobility as a significant factor in delivering more effective results in this sector of adult education. The project brought together a mix four partners from three EU countries that include, a local government authority, two private adult training providers and an ICT specialist in adult training software programs in key competences and basic skills. The project partners have shown the relevant experience, expertise and links required to the NEET community that have delivered the work to fulfill the aims of the project. The aim of this project consortium was to significantly decrease the numbers of young adults who are NEETs by offering them better training. The major change envisaged by the completion of this project was to provide European stakeholders with exchange and to share the success of effective training offered to NEETs. This aim, we believe, has been achieved.

"The European Commission 2014 paper 'A Healthy and Sustainable Environment for Present and Future Generations' speaks of the European Union's long-term commitment to sustainable development. This paper also states that ""Since the 1970s, the EU has agreed over 200 pieces of legislation to protect the environment. But legislation alone counts for little if it is not properly applied and enforced. The partners of “Environmental Learning Illustrated” wanted to contribute to the development of programmes that link adult education, training, and innovation in the digital era with the pressing environmental issues of our time. We would like to be at the forefront of the conversation and the transition to a low-carbon future using education as a tool, defining the channels and communication strategies to reach a wider number of people in various countries, and improving and extending the supply of high-quality learning opportunities for individuals in this field. To do that, we wanted to create an open e-learning programme where people can learn about the causes of climate change and what they can do to contribute to solving the climate crisis. The Surefoot Effect from the UK; Volontariato Torino from Italy; The Centre for Education and Entrepreneurship Support from Poland, and E.N.T.E.R. GmbH from Austria were the project partners. The Surefoot Effect (Surefoot) equips people with lifelong skills for sustainability by providing (i) space to think; (ii) time to explore motives and feelings regarding more sustainable lifestyles, and (iii) leadership that inspires action. This process has led thousands of people to successfully reduce their impact on the environment. Volontariato Torino (VolTo) is the Volunteer Support Centre of Turin. VolTo is an umbrella non-profit organization with 160 member organizations and a network of more than 1300 voluntary associations. VolTo works to provide free services (such as training, consultancy, planning assistance) to assist the voluntary associations in the Province of Turin. The Centre for Education and Entrepreneurship Support (CEES) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that works in the field of youth and cooperates with businesses, universities, schools, enterprises and educational institutions. CEES promotes entrepreneurship to young people at school as well as to those who already run their businesses. E.N.T.E.R. GmbH (ENTER) is a European network and has more than 900 member organisations in 44 countries in varied fields and sectors. ENTER’s main objective is to provide a unique network structure for the dissemination and sustainable use of EU project outcomes.“Environmental Learning Illustrated” developed an online interactive learning platform for participants to learn about the cause of climate change and potential solutions according to four main themes: energy and climate change, food, transport and consumption and waste. These four main themes also included related topics such as climate justice, water consumption and environmental refugees. The programme included a 28-page graphic novel and 63 illustrations that served to convey the main topics covered.Under the principle that “people remember stories, not facts” partners wanted to add graphic content to make learning on climate change issues more memorable and more enjoyable and to engage with people for whom formal scientific learning is not optimal. This methodology also follows the work carried by Surefoot in which environmental problems are developed by letting participants explore their values, emotions and identity. The design of the programme was also based on information provided by 223 people on how they would like to see an online tool such as this one structured and developed. All objectives set in the original application have been met with over 50 people from each participating country taking part in preliminary surveys that informed the team on the best way to structure and develop the online course. Six people from participating organisations trained to develop content for Intellectual Output 01 under the guidance of two experienced trainers from CEES, and eight people from the participating organisations trained on how to communicate projects and activities that use storytelling and similar formats in order to facilitate the input ideas from the main topics of the project for the illustrations and the graphic novel. Finally, 416 people were happy to participate in the pilot of the e-learning modules.Recent events such as unprecedented forest fires in the Amazon and other rainforests and the premature melting of large areas of Greenland and Antarctica are making people from all over the world more concerned about the conservation of nature and willing to initiate activities that protect it. This programme has offered an opportunity for partners and a large number of participants to engage in these topics in a positive light to learn and support the alternatives that already exist."

4 EXPORT intends to stimulate the use of interdisciplinary apprenticeship as a tool to boost internationalisation, promoting the entrance of young, skilled employees in SMEs who can take care of internationalisation activities through interdisciplinary apprenticeship education. 4 EXPORT wants to provide them with the tools to implement efficient and high-quality interdisciplinary apprenticeship programs that promote internationalisation.Internationalisation is a quite common topic of discussion in nowadays’ education; however, most of the times it refers to the internationalisation of the education, rather than learning about internationalisation. While it is easy to find information about this first topic (e.g. Building knowledge on international cooperation in VET Report, EC), finding courses devoted to assisting the internationalisation of firms becomes rather complicated in VET education.Yet, internationalisation of EU countries accounts for 1/3 of the world’s exports, and especially some of the partner countries (Italy, Spain) account next to FR, UK and GE for around 20% of the world’s exports (and 56% of EU). It is necessary for EU companies (especially SMEs) to find suitable workers who are able to help them go through the internationalisation process effectively. Hence, it is necessary for students to have the possibility to learn about internationalisation before entering the labour market, in order to provide them with tools to help organisations in this task. On other terms, interdisciplinary apprenticeship has been proven to be a key way to add to a company an innovative perspective of the work to be done, as well as to become a benefit because the apprentice learns how to work in the company and becomes a useful employee later on. Entering in a company as an apprentice rises the loyalty when becoming an employee, increasing the efficiency and willingness to work for the company. The purpose of 4 EXPORT is to help the current international position of the EU by providing keys to help students learn how to boost international competitiveness. The partnership will create a MOOC and web platform in which workers with experience in internationalisation and will provide participants the latest innovative capabilities and skills related to interdisciplinary apprenticeship in an international environment.
