Youth Path to Equality is a transnational youth project involving three partner organisations from Spain, Italy and Germany and two informal youth organisations from Madrid and Berlin. The project will be implemented locally in each of the localities where the partner organisations are located, but a transnational coordination will be carried out. Moreover, the dissemination activities will allow to have a scope far beyond the localities of the organisations, having a national and European impact. The main objective of this project is to combat gender inequality and gender-based violence suffered by young people, and to do so from the perspective of non-formal education. The project will last 20 months and will be developed between October 2020 and june 2022.This project directly addresses gender inequality in youth organizations and works on two levels:1.Transformation of organizational structures towards a more inclusive model, which puts life and care at the centre of organizations, paying attention to the balance between care, processes and objectives.2. Non-formal education programme for the attitudinal development of young people for the acquisition of values of equality and against gender violence. In this sense, two main blocks of activities will be developed at the local level in the three countries:- Activities for organisational transformation, for 8 months.- Educational activities towards gender equality, for 8 months. These activities will be coordinated among the partner countries and improvements will be implemented after the common evaluations. It is also proposed the elaboration of two intellectual results that would bring a high added value to the project since they will allow the development of the applied methodologies in a complete and exportable way so that the impact of the project will be high.O1: Methodological guide for the transition of youth organisations towards gender equalityO2: Gen toolkit. Non-Formal Education Programme for Equality in the Youth Field. To ensure the high impact of this project, several dissemination activities will be carried out, which respond to a defined plan and among them are included three Multiplier Events, to be carried out each one in each participating country. These events will mainly serve for the dissemination of the intellectual results at national level and will take place in the last month of the project. Finally, for the correct coordination of the project, it will be necessary to carry out three transnational meetings between the coordinating teams of the partner entities, which will take place at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of the project. In addition, a joint training activity will be carried out for the staff of the entities involved, at the beginning of the project, to favour the exchange of knowledge between the entities, focusing on organisational development (Spain), gender work with youth (Italy) and innovation and inclusion methodologies (Germany).A Swiss entity, FAIR'ACT, is invited to participate in this Strategic Partnership. Its participation will be accepted and financially supported by the Swiss agency MOVETIA. If accepted, it will participate in the same way as the other partners in the project in terms of implementation of local activities, coordination meetings, training activity, and will also generate a multiplier event in Switzerland to disseminate the results of this project, in case the Swiss agency decides to finance it.

The international volunteering schemes of the EU (ESC and the former EVS/E+) involve the transnational mobility of thousands of young people/year. Our project targeted these volunteers and their supporting organisations (SO-s) offering them an on-line pre-departure preparation tool, increasing this way quality in international volunteering projects. The iPrepare tool (www.iprepare.eu) created in the framework of the project is now freely accessible for all volunteers and SO-s worldwide. It is an interactive web surface offering volunteers the possibility to engage in an on-line learning process and offering SO-s a wide range of materials to support volunteers' learning prior to departure. Aims of the project : - to support the pre-departure preparation of EVS/ESC volunteers, increasing the level of preparation (quality and quantity), making sure that all volunteers get all the necessary information and a chance to reflect on the most important issues related to EVS/ESC prior to their departure; - to help EVS/ESC SO-s in their preparation activities, offering them a tool to organise the preparation of volunteers, making their work more effective and cost-efficient; Objective: - to develop and create an on-line EVS/ESC pre-departure preparation tool, which integrates and supports (but not substitutes for) the face to face preparation done by SO-s.The project objective has been fully met. Context and background:Working as EVS trainers and meeting with many volunteers coming from various realities, we (the initiators of the project) had realised that there were immense differences between the quality and quantity of preparation activities offered by the different SO-s. SO-s lacked adequate resources to carry out a thorough preparation. We had done an on-line survey and consulted with different stakeholders among which the staff of the NA-s, and got reinforced in our view that the issue of pre-departure preparation was worth being addressed to increase quality in international volunteering projects. Project team: the project team was composed of 3 organisations, Egyesek from Hungary, Xena from Italy and Cia Cekija from Czechia. Project activities: the project was organised around creating one intellectual output: the iPrepare on-line pre-departure preparation tool for volunteers. The following activities were done: - preparation - research - creation of the tool - forming the tool (graphic design, programming) - testing - finalising (adaptation to test results, proofreading, translations) - dissemination activities and multiplier events (launching events in the 3 countries) - final evaluation and closure We realised 4 transnational project meetings, among which one was an open team meeting where we invited not only the project team but also members of the target group (young volunteers and staff of supporting organisations). Regular monitoring of the project and general project coordination was done by the Hungarian partner. Results: The main result is the iPrepare tool (www.iprepare.eu) available in English, Hungarian, Italian and Czech for all volunteers and SO-s on-line. The research report (data gained during the research phase about EVS pre-departure preparation practices and needs) is also a valuable (by)product of the project (see: https://www.iprepare.eu/upload/research_report_final.pdf). Impact and long term benefits: Volunteers will be better prepared. The average number of hours spent with preparation will increase, and the differences in the level of preparation activities received by volunteers at different SO-s will diminish. Departing with a higher level of consciousness, volunteers will benefit more from their projects. The increase in the level of preparedness of the volunteers will also facilitate the hosting organisations' work.Supported by the on-line tool, SO-s will be able to prepare volunteers in a more efficient way. Preparation work will be more cost-effective and they will no longer be left alone with this important task. They will get access to a thorough list of topics to be covered during preparation, to concrete on-line exercises to suggest to volunteers and to hints for follow up. Constructed in a way that it can function automatically, the tool will remain available on-line also after the end of the project.Presently we are in contact with the team realising the future ESC General Online Training. They know and appreciate iPrepare and have certainly been inspired by our tool - at the moment we are exploring ways of collaboration. We would like to make sure that our tool doesn't lose its importance after the introduction of the General Online Training but can be integrated in it or become complementary to it in some way.

"The issue of refugees and migration is polarising the European Union and individual Member States. In response, once again, obstacles are appearing in Europe. These include specific barriers and border controls that create geographical, physical and ethnic separation, but also invisible and more subtle separations that divide and divide different societies and local communities. These economic, social, ethnic and geographical separations are creating an increase in violence and discrimination in the relationship between local and foreign citizens. This project involves 5 partners from 4 European countries, affected in different ways by the realities of the migration and refugee search processes: - ALTEKIO, INITIATIVES TOWARDS SUSTAINABILITY (Spain)- XENA CENTRO SCAMBI E DINAMICHE INTERCULTURALI (Northern Italy)- DEEP DEMOCRACY DENMARK (Denmark)- ASSOCIAZONE COMUNITARE (Southern Italy)- IMPULS - Agentur für angewandte Utopien e.V. (Germany)The overall objective of this project is to contribute to social inclusion in Europe, by empowering refugees and migrants as well as adult migrant and refugee educators in the partner countries, to promote inclusive and transformative leadership in the communities they are part of, using creative and artistic ways. This will be achieved through joint training in the innovative methodology of ""Deep Democracy"", through the creation of a face-to-face Educational Programme and online Webinars that will provide tools for conflict facilitation for at least 72 refugees, migrants, social workers and educators from Northern, Central and Southern European countries, representing the diverse experiences and challenges Europe faces in this field.Deep Democracy highlights the importance of listening to all stakeholders, even those who are apparently not important or are more difficult to listen to, but who can sometimes provide a key to surprising changes and solutions. Deep Democracy is an attitude that focuses on being aware of the voices that are both central and marginal. Through this methodology we can explore how to approach, try to listen, better understand the roles and power dynamics, glimpse the connections and/or even offer the possibility of building bridges through dialogue and arts. The project includes local trainings that will apply the Educational Programme (an innovative intellectual outcome). In each of them an OPEN FORUM will be held, a methodology of Deep Democracy, inviting the local community to participate in an open conversation on a topic of interest. In addition, during the process 4 more innovative outcomes will be generated, in order to promote and expand innovative tools for inclusive and transformative leadership and conflict transformation in the field of migration, as well as to generate new narratives around this theme, sharing stories of real people who have been ""transformed barriers"" through different artistic formats. The other innovative outcomes of the project are: the Conflict Transformation Toolkit; the Interactive Emotional Maps; the Learning Journey; and the TILDE Webinar. The participants will co-create the training spaces and materials as far as possible, thus practising shared leadership between social organisations, local organisations collaborating in the project, people participating in these organisations and in the training, etc. The online-offline format is also strongly developed as a way to innovate and adapt to the current context of difficult displacement, thus contributing to innovative methods and providing accompanied spaces to reduce the digital divide in the field of refugees. The project ends with a multiplier event in Spain: the TILDE Art Festival for Diversity, which aims to present all the intellectual results, as well as inviting some participants in the training sessions to present their experiences and stories in this creative, relaxed and artistic learning environment, full of activities and workshops that promote diversity and social inclusion. The possibility of exchanging practices and innovating in ways of educating adults in the field of migration strengthens us as partner organisations and allows us through all the collaborations, dissemination activities, local activities, etc. to extract reflections that apply to concrete methodologies, educational formats, skills, capacities, etc. but not only, can also have an impact on the field of public policies, inviting other organisations to use the results we share, to continue building inclusion. Employability Tools is a project that addresses the need of strengthening local work carried out by stakeholders throughout Europe in developing and promoting employability of vulnerable groups, focusing on young people (often with fewer opportunities). This need, felt at a local level, is in line with the major European guidelines. Europe 2020 strategy aims for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, creating the conditions for youth to develop their skills, fulfil their potential, work, and actively participate in society. Successful labor market integration is a key aspect in unleashing young people’s potential and achieving EU2020 objectives, equally as in our direct local & regional needs and interests. OBJECTIVES: (1) To create and develop 4 tools for employability: an App, an educational Board game, an interactive Planner and a Handbook for technical staff working with employability issues; (2) To contribute to the development of the quality of support systems for employability; (3) To increase youngsters disposition towards entrepreneurship, employability opportunities and recognition of personal and professional competences; (4) To foster the cooperation between different entities from different countries in different fields (NGOs, companies, public bodies); (5) To assist youngsters on their development of key competences towards employability using the tools developed, and with better qualified youth workers on that field.PARTNERSHIP: This project brought together NGOs, public bodies and social responsibility companies, who had already cooperated and established a trustworthy relationship in the past. Partners came from Portugal, Belgium and Italy - DNA Cascais, Câmara Municipal de Cascais, Produções Fixe, Vzw Elegast Wijkwerking, Xena and Insight. The fact that Cascais was the European Youth Capital (EYC) in 2018, title awarded by the European Youth Forum, boosted the motivation to carry out this project and deliver results during the EYC year, thus enlarging the potential for visibility, dissemination and creating long term value. ACTIVITIES: between September 2016 and August 2018, the following activities took place: » General project management.» Communication between partners.» Quality checks and evaluation: control meetings, reports, evaluations.» Financial control: expenses report, bank transfers, coordination control. » 4 transnational meetings: Cascais (PT) in December 2016 - kick-off, get to know each other, setting the vision and procedures of the project, work on the outputs; Antwerp (BE) in June 2017 – testing the outputs, evaluating and planning ahead; Padova (IT) in December 2017 – development of the outputs, assess project results and plan adjustments; Cascais (PT) in June 2018 – launching event with Cascais EYC 2018, evaluation, planning dissemination and multiplying events.» Development of the 4 intellectual outputs: concept development, technical development, first prototype / beta production, testing, feedback, improvement, producing final versions of the outputs.» Project dissemination and visibility: creating image, promotional material, online promotion, contact with other stakeholders, press releases, events within Cascais EYC 2018, local presentations. RESULTS AND IMPACT: This project generated 4 “EMPLAY” Tools, Open Educational Resources, which are useful tools for youth workers and employability workers, and are now already increasingly used by NGOs, local schools, social organisations and public organisations. For these, impacts are: increase in the knowledge about employability and entrepreneurship and strategies on how to develop young people’s competences; teamwork, self esteem, communication; a wider knowledge and visibility of E+ program; new views on the use of non formal education; positive attitude towards community building and networking. Young people (and also job seekers, people wishing to change career, etc.) are being targeted through these organisations, while others have been directly targeted by events or workshops developed by partners. Young people worldwide can also take advantage of using EMPLAY tools on their own, particularly due to the fact that some of the partners have extensive networks (e.g. Cité des Metiers or Organisation International de la Francophonie). Connecting this project with the implementation of Cascais EYC 2018 increased its impact at European level. On a LONG TERM perspective, project results will contribute to a more sustainable, socially cohesive Europe, where young people can more successfully integrate in the labour market, fulfilling their potential. There was a clear expressed wish by Portugal's Secretary of State for Employment to disseminate the tools to the wider employability structures, which can bring concrete unforeseen impact. At the moment, consortium received already a request for the production of 20 units of the boardgame Emplay, besides expressed wishes of other youth workers and institutions.
