‘Social entrepreneurship in-migration - Enhancing employability and innovation amongst young refugees’ was a 12 month strategic partnership between organisations from Germany, Belgium and Croatia on the topic of promotion of entrepreneurship education in working with young migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. The strategic partnership is a result of previous collaboration of the partner organisations, which noticed the need to develop strategic tools and motivate youth organisations to explore social entrepreneurship as a tool for integration of displaced young people and provide youth entrepreneurship support by further expanding on this topic. The project had the following set of objectives: - To build capacities of youth workers to be able to provide quality youth work programmes on (social) entrepreneurial education with the aim to support the creation, improvement and wider dissemination of support schemes for migrant entrepreneurs; - To reflect on the needed competences of youth workers to act as motivators of youth for entrepreneurship and social integration and to motivate their lifelong learning competences to improve in this area; - To develop and try out specific tools for youth work as examples of non-formal learning in entrepreneurial education; - To develop participants’ understanding and knowledge of (social) entrepreneurship and its link to youth work systems and discuss their applicability in different contexts; - To exchange good practices not only in youth work between youth workers and their associations from the 3 participating countries but also at European level; The project produced 2 outputs [a Guidebook for mentoring youth entrepreneurship in working with displaced youngsters and a Training toolkit on entrepreneurship for youth work organisations], 3 multipliers events related to the development and promotion of this outputs and 1 learning activity. Its main result within the youth field is enhanced perspectives in implementing entrepreneurship education in working with young people with migrant backgrounds and over 130 youth workers involved. We believe that Social entrepreneurship has the potential to contribute to migrant integration. On the other hand, the importance of migration in developing a competitive and sustainable European economy is recognised by both the Europe 2020 Strategy and the Stockholm programme. This project was based on the notion that the youth field plays a vital role in increasing the resources and understanding within the migrant and refugee sectors about these topics. By opening the space for the development of entrepreneurial and innovative spirit among the displaced youth, we are offering a plethora of opportunities to explore the interplay between these ideas and highlight outstanding projects and initiatives across these sectors. Finally, this project aimed at showing the potential of social entrepreneurship to positively impact the human rights space, respect for which is one of the core values of the EU.

LGBT youth suffers homophobia, violence and lack of solidarity from their peers nor their teachers during their schooling period. Attempts of LGBT and Human rights organization in Serbia to tackle this problem wasn’t fruitful, because for any activities in schools one needs special permission form the Ministry of Education, that wasn’t willing to cooperate on these issues. Similar situation regarding homophobia, bullying and violence in schools is present in Bosnia and Herzegovina and partially in Croatia, and with this project we will exchange experiences and knowledge, and find alternative ways in solving these issues, especially in cooperation with our partners from Germany.Although mechanism for protection of individuals against discrimination exist (on different levels in our countries and in Europe in general) there should be more activities aiming on supporting the individuals in threat of discrimination and violence, but also aiming at the mainstream youth in order to raise their understanding and level of tolerance. Thus, we have proposed another way of solving this problem through the network of Youth organizations and organizations working with Youth. We have explored examples of good practices and implemented methods and strategies in the study visit that were explored and used, adapted, for the development of new tools and methods in a form of the Manual for local workshops for youth on homophobia and LGBT rights.By creating workshops manual tackling LGBT rights, homophobia, non-violence, respecting and accepting differences, we strived to give innovative tools in solving the problem of homophobia among youth and bullying in schools. We also took in concern good practices from the region and EU and different approaches in working with youth. The manual contains workshops on the subject of nonviolent communication, perception, conflicts, violence, prejudice and stereotypes, identities, non-violence, dealing with fear and mediation. The most important aspect is decentralization and having participants from smaller cities and communities, that already have showed interest in advocating for LGBT rights and preparing local trainer who will continue the work in their communities. The 10 days long training course, as the main mobility activity of the project, put the manual into practice and examined it with the partners and participants, in the same time sharing the knowledge, tools and methods, materials and resources in educating youth workers and impact bearers, while receiving valuable feedback on the tools and methodology which have been applied in the final revision and preparation of the manual.

"""Heroes and Heroines of youth sport work for inclusion"" was a KA2 Strategic Partnership fo innovation project, consisted of 4 European Partners from Italy, Germany, North Macedonia and Croatia. In accordance with needs analysis and EU recommendations, the project aimed to develop strategic tools and motivate/empower youth workers to develop more youth sport work activities that will explore and extract all the possible positive aspects of sports for developing consistent positive intercultural acceptance among our beneficiaries and inclusion of asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants in our communities. Background: In our youth work for inclusion and intercultural acceptance we’ve noticed sport can bring people together, as when playing a sport together for the same team, team players are not focused on the interracial, intercultural, interreligious and other differences between them, but are focused on building quality team work together respecting each other’s strengths and weaknesses and complementing each other. Unfortunately, so far when trying to organise systematically the youth sport work activities with asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants, partners could not find enough youth workers experienced in the field of working with immigrants and in principles of using sport activities as methods in NFE/youth work. Objectives that were set and reached within the project:- Improved the understanding of the needs of immigrants by exploring their current situation and the (youth work) activities/programmes provided for their inclusion, in the 4 countries of the project.- Brought positive and long-lasting effects on participating and indirectly on non-participating (youth) organisations and youth workers by enhancing knowledge management with new innovative youth work resources and training models/curricula in order to provide quality youth (sport) work programmes for intercultural acceptance and inclusion of immigrants in our communities.- Supported youth workers in acquiring and developing key competences as youth trainers (of other youth workers) in the field of youth (sport) work for inclusion of immigrants.- Developed innovative outputs, and engaged in intensive dissemination and exploitation activities of existing and newly produced products or innovative ideas.Participants involved: 8 staff / project managers and assistants; 8 teachers/trainers/researchers and youth workers all working on the intellectual outputs; 95 participants of the multiplier events; 13 youth trainers - participants of the LTTA and over 40 multipliers (youth workers, volunteers and management staff – 10 from each partner organisation) that are and will be using the intellectual outputs in their youth work and testing their effectiveness locally both personal and on organisational level. Out of those 166, around 40 were young people with fewer opportunities. Our youth workers strengthened their key competences in youth sport work for inclusion of immigrants, increased the opportunities for development of youngsters (mainstream and immigrants) in improving levels of soft skills and basic skills for inclusion.
