Both schools specialize similarly in the areas of studies, sharing together study specialisations as ceramics, multimedia, graphic and industrial design. Apart from that, both art schools reach the same historical roots, surprisingly enough both were found in 1884.As a result of congruent specialisations and ideas, we specify the following objectives of our project as the most relevant: improvement of the level of key competences and skills (art skills and competences), improvement of teaching and learning languages, enhancing international cooperation and relations, promoting EU democratic values, linguistic diversity, support of modernisation of education, increase of opportunities for learning mobility of young learners, promoting professionalism and entrepreneurship, support of non-formal and informal learning. The cooperation between schools aims to learn one from each other by means of art techniques and language skills (English, Portuguese, and Czech) and share together what the participants have achieved. The title of the project (Re: ART TRUeSTory) also reflects important key words for the activities involved: ART (as a means of work), RE (as a written, oral, art response to facts, information), TRUE story (reality or concepts; dream or invention, imaginary creation), THROUGH story (language as a tool for communication, storytelling as an important form of interpretation), TRUST (in the capacity of the other, personal experience, gaining self-confidence). The whole leitmotif is STORYTELLING/ constructing together the reality on the bases of knowledge, information collected, research, brainstorming, discussion. Therefore, project activities will occur in forms of teamwork workshops both during project meetings at schools, or as individual/ collective activities and steps throughout the school year at art and language classes. As for language results, the project activities support mainly: art techniques (graphics, multimedia, and ceramics), creativity, brainstorming, responsibility for the task, reciprocity, cooperation. As it concerns language activities, they will be developed in language workshops, group work language activities, storytelling, researches, presentations etc. A picture/story publication and a large exhibition in both schools are expected as final results, yet all outcomes will be also measured by (auto)evaluations, questionnaires, other types of assessments.Concerning the number and profile of participants, we would like to involve as many students as possible in frequent meetings (three participants’ meetings per school year, with six participants and two accompanying teachers for each mobility), especially due to the importance of sharing practical experience in workshops and exchanging art skills, procedures and techniques in person. We intend to involve 16-18 year-old students from study fields of ceramics, graphic design, and multimedia from both schools. The results and impacts are as follows: to start a new partnership between specialised art schools, social inclusion of students, enhanced involvement in language learning and linguistic diversity, supported cooperation in an international project, internationalisation, increased motivation for younger students for language learning, active participation in society, increased sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, positive attitude towards the European project and EU values and sharing examples of good practice.

It is a project of a strategic partnership in the programme Erasmus+ KA2, the cooperation of three vocational schools from the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic and Portugal. The aim of the project is to broaden the schools' professional curriculums about art techniques, which are not taught at the schools, through the widening of students' general knowledge of art techniques and by this step to create publications: “Artist's workbook of (chosen) graphics technique” and the video-manuals of these techniques The introduced and taught techniques will be chosen individually by each school at the beginning of the project. The techniques will be e.g.: intaglio printing, wax printing, mug printing, serigraphy, dry needle, linocut, stucco lustro etc. The outputs of the project will be workbooks and video-manuals which will help learners (or potential candidates) to learn and extend new graphics techniques in the frame of their studies or courses and help them to experience the possibility how to introduce and make their field of studies more visible. In addition, the project helps the students to improve their communicative English and interpersonal skills. The target group is the second and third year students of vocational and professional secondary schools from Nový Jičín, the Czech Republic, studying three-year long vocational Graphic Design field, students of the secondary professional Art school from Žilina, the Slovak Republic, and students of the secondary professional Art school from Porto, Portugal. After the end of the project, we would like to introduce and teach the obtained art techniques to the general public of each country through the art/design courses and implement newly learnt techniques into the schools' curriculums. During the project students will work on the following activities under the tutelage of professional teachers: The graphic's technique introduction, Artist's Workbooks, Video-manuals of the individual techniques, Individual country presentation, School presentation, Logo creation, Web-page creation, Students' Works Exhibition. These activities are necessary to be carried out transnationally because they help students to develop and strengthen their knowledge, skills and competencies, not just in the professional field, but they will be able to extend, practice and compare their art and IT skills, use their own creativity and learn more about studies abroad.

The secondary schools from Portugal, Latvia and the Czech Republic will cooperate in modifications of plain fabrics with using different techniques changing their surface, color or patterns. Handmade modificated fabrics will be used for designing and creating/sewing various garmens and their presentation in an international fashion show and national exhibitions. Since the schools prepare students for their professional career, the activities are focused on aspects of diversity in the textile/fashion production in the European regions with various traditions and roots. The main objectives concerning to the students and teachers are:1) learn 5 new techniques for modificating textile fabrics. The main aim of workshops is to change the plain fabrics/materials with using different methods of patterning, processing or changing structures. 2) work with the exact sizes of fabrics and remodel them to pieces of clothes3) increase participants ability to describe procedure of techniques in a detailed manual (description and / or video)5) show and learn how to promote own abilities, creativity, professional skills and final products made during the project - final fashion show and exhibitions6) create promotional, educational materials and products related to the textile handmade craft showing its diversity and possibilitiesAbout 150 participants (90 in international workshops) will be involved in the project, most consisting of students (age 16-19) and their vocational teachers who will plan, implement, produce, assess and disseminate activities and outcomes gained in the project. The opening workshop is planned only for the teachers and its main goal is to teach the techniques in advance for better estimations and planning the workshops for students. The aim of the following three workshops is learning different techniques of fabric modifications that can be used for plain/ordinary fabrics. In Portugal the participants will deal with technigues which change colors and patterns (tie dye + wax batik and lino print). In the Czech Republic they will work with the textile structure/surface of the processed textile and change it with heat and nuno felting. In Latvia they will learn Devoré (burnout) technique which combines changes in surface and colors with chemicals agents. However, the main goal of the project is not to produce textiles by these techniques, but to learn the individual techniques step by step and design and create and/or sew garments from the modified textiles. The final workshop and activities include the presentation of the produced garments at the national / international fashion shows and national exhibitions. The exhibited clothing accompanying with printed catalogues, photographs, videos and tutorials will be used by each school as a study resources and promotional materials for the Erasmus + programme. Proposed activities address traditional and contemporary textile arts, as well as analyzing, developing materials, semantics and technicians of textile objects, and applying new processes / techniques and new materials / materials. Experience has shown that the requirements of theoretical knowledge overbalance practical vocational skills and craftsmanships in vocational education. Handicrafts which require a combination of creativity and handwork have not been very popular nowadays. Students are interested in digital technologies, graphic design, photography, which are fields that are primarily focused on computers. The schools have realized a ceramic project which helped to increase students´interests in study. We hope that a similar situation will happen in fashion/textile design. The most significant objectives of motivation are to create conditions (workshops) in which are people willing to improve own skillfulness with interests and enthusiasm, expand the techniques taught at schools and increase the professional skills of graduates. It is believed that the project will help students and teachers to improve and enhance not only their professional and vocational skills but also transferable competences so important for their employability and increase interests of future students in studies at vocational schools.

It was believed that the overall project team with the cooperation of the schools' implementation teams and participants were able to achieve the goals and fruitfully accomplish all the activities and products planned in the proposal. The activities in the project included various kinds of work. On one hand, the participants used IT tools (social networks, web research, presentations, videos and spreadsheet) for communication, work and presentation results of their outcomes using mother languages and English as Lingua Franca, on the other hand they designed, discussed different components of the procedure and finally handmade manufacture own ceramic products in national and international teams. They learned how to cooperate, communicate, suggest solutions or defend own ideas and imaginations in order to produce outcomes usable for their professional lives (videos, presentations, a fictitious ceramic business) as well as goods for exhibitions and ceramic teaching/learning. Seven international workshops (the last one was cancelled due to Covid-19) with different kinds of ceramic clays and approaches were organized in the project. The host school which was responsible for preparation, organization and assessment of the workshop, made a schedule combining visits of cultural institutions and regional companies as well as work on the products. The participants introduced their ceramic traditions/history as well as curricula to the partners. Besides that they designed and manufactured ceramic products in the international teams. In addition they learned new techniques in practice by trying, doing and decision-making so significant in their future career. The contents of workshops depended on the host schools and they included different approaches to the clays like ceramic ""sculptures"" made from various casts, wall compositions of plates, using vegetables for making plaster moulds and traditional spa cups. The project helped students and teachers to improve and enhance not only their professional and vocational skills but also transferable competences so important for their employability or entrepreneurship. Moreover, it made participants aware of belonging to a ceramic community at a local, regional, national and European level. The examples of the best practice were integrated into the schools' curriculum so that have a long-term impact on preparation of present and future students."
