    << Objectives >>Perform4Change aims at providing adult learners from local communities of the partners with tools to improve their soft skills through performing arts training, contributing to their civic engagement and willingness to participate in public sphere concerns, such as Climate Change. The community will collaboratively create artistic performances in a non-formal learning process aligned with the European common values and developed in an international good training practises exchange context.<< Implementation >>During Perform4Change, we will apply 6 workshops on performing arts for the development of civic/soft skills in adult learners, through the discussion about climate change. 6 public performances will come out of the training workshops. For the improvement of the workshops, partners will participate in each other’s workshops in each country and improve their own, engaging in good practises exchange that will result in an handbook of good practises.<< Results >>With Perform4Change, we aim at improving involved participants' civic/soft competences through performing arts training. 6 public performances addressing Climate Change awareness will take place, as a result. We will develop a good practises handbook on training that will be shared in open access. Partners aim at developing a collaborative international network, integrating new ways of working among entities with similar objectives and mission.

At least 150 people involved;3. At least 20 people permanently involved in the care of the spaces;4. 3 multiplier events;5. Creation of a toolkit based on the definition of a shared methodology for territorial activation and creation of a European action group for community development (GAESC);6. Creation of 3 local learning communities;7. 30% decrease in neighborhood conflicts;8. 3 steering groups meeting.

    Le projet ‘Literature for Life’ et ‘l’European LitFest’ a rapproché les partenaires venant de France, d’Italie, d’Espagne et du Royaume-Uni qui avaient tous un but commun : transmettre l’innovation, leurs méthodes d’apprentissage, leur bon esprit, promouvoir l’écriture d’invention, la poésie et utiliser la langue en tant qu’outil pour améliorer les capacités de chacun et pour rapprocher les communautés d’apprentissage. Les partenaires ont tous organisé un évènement où ils ont animé un Atelier d’apprentissage Communautaire (Community Learning Workshop) dont le sujet était la littérature, la lecture et l’écriture. Les habitants de ce quartier, ayant des capacités d’écriture et de lecture assez basiques, ont ainsi pu travailler avec des auteurs, des poètes et des éditeurs. Les ateliers étaient animés par des auteurs et des poètes publiés qui ont eu pour but de motiver et aider d’autres personnes qui souhaitent devenir écrivain – qui par la suite peuvent en faire de même et établir des communautés soudées.Contexte : L’alphabétisation n’est pas un luxe : c’est un droit et une responsabilité. Pour pouvoir affronter les défis du 21 ème siècle nous devons tout d’abord exploiter le talent et la créativité de nos citoyens. Sans avoir de capacités basiques en écriture et en lecture, la population n’est pas capable de communiquer ni de participer comme il faut dans leur société. (Europe 2020, Traité de Lisbonne). Ce projet n’aide pas seulement à faire apprendre ces capacités basiques, il encourage justement ces personnes, qui ont des nouvelles capacités, à prendre part à des évènements de littérature et à s’intégrer à la société. Malgré le fait qu’Europe a un des taux d’alphabétisation les plus élevés dans le monde aujourd’hui, il n’empêche pas que l’analphabétisme soit un phénomène croissant de notre continent. Mais ce sujet reste toujours tabou et les conséquences pour l’individu et la société sont souvent ignorés. Ce projet a voulu valoriser ces adultes avec des problèmes d’écriture et de lecture ; leur faire reconnaître la puissance des mots et les soutenir pour qu’ils deviennent des écrivains confirmés.Objectifs: 1. Créer un partenariat transnational afin d’échanger sur les méthodes de travail, développer le sens de l’innovation et transmettre le savoir et de l’information aux adultes analphabètes, sur le pouvoir de l’écriture et l’inclusion communautaire. Partager nos méthodes d’apprentissage, les compétences en création d’évènements et l’expérience à travers ce partenariat. 2. Aider les participants à devenir compétents en développant leurs capacités d’écriture. 3. Créer 4 ‘European LitFest’ (Des communautés d’apprentissage) afin de réunir les sociétés. 4. Travailler avec des cercles d’écrivains dans chaque pays pour promouvoir l’écriture d’invention et s’en servir comme outil d’inclusion communautaire.5. Développer des compétences en langues dans le but d’améliorer les capacités d’écriture et de lecture des participants (à travers les ateliers, la littérature et la poésie). 6. Travailler avec des auteurs publiés, connus, pour inspirer d’autres personnes et démontrer que « chacun a un livre à l’intérieur de soi ».7. Etablir 4 membres fondateurs d’un nouveau réseau de communautés d’apprentissage – qu’ils pourront développer à l’avenir.Chaque partenaire a organisé un évènement où plus de 100 personnes sont venus (habitants locaux, habitants de la région ou bien venant d’Europe). Méthodologie : A travers la prémisse que la lecture a besoin d’être amusant et agréable, les évènements d’apprentissage communautaires (Community Learning Events) ont été organisés. Des ateliers d’écriture créative ont été proposés à des personnes ayant de faibles compétences, et ils se sont sentis valorisés par le fait que les auteurs publiés reconnaissent et corrigent leur travail. Peu importe le niveau de chacun, à la fin du projet les participants pouvaient mieux s’exprimer à l’écrit. Chaque partenaire a travaillé avec différents domaines : les écrivains ont touché un public plus grand – en faisant la promotion de la littérature comme un outil de valorisation, afin de gagner en confiance, restaurer une communauté d’entente et reconnaître la prouesse de chacun. La poésie et l’écriture d’invention ont servi à aider ceux qui étaient en phase de rééducation suite à une maladie mentale ou toxicomanie. Résultats : • La création d’un partenariat et de la méthodologie utilisé pour développer les Evènements d’apprentissage communautaires (Les LitFest de chaque pays). - 4 Anthologies (un de chaque pays), une anthologie des premières œuvres des poètes et des écrivains • 4 Communautés d’apprentissage établis – au moins 100 personnes de plus qui sont désormais capables de s’exprimer à l’écrit.- Une introduction et une opportunité pour les auteurs de se faire des contacts et contribuer au monde de la littérature.• Rendre conscient que la littérature est une méthode pour développer les capacités d’écricrivants.

    "Summary:The ECIC brought together partners from Italy, France, Spain, Ireland & Portugal to learn together, to transfer innovation & good practice, promoting a new quality mark, ""European Community of Inclusive Culture (CIC)"" to promote cohesion through culture and the arts. The project targeted disadvantaged participants & their communities.Partners each organised a Community Learning Workshop event based on different forms of cultural and the arts. Local participants with little experience or no previous interest in the arts were inspired to attend workshops run by partners. Partners followed a common methodology but each concentrated on a different art form. The project used different arts to inspire interest in reading and literacy. Background/Context:Access to culture is a right and a responsibility. If we are to meet the challenges of the 21st Century we must harness the talent and creativity of our citizens. Without basic literacy skills people are not able to properly participate in society. (Europe2020, Lisbon Treaty) This project not only helped by teaching basic skills, it encouraged people with newly acquired writing & artistic skills to take part in focused cultural events, endorsing their place in a culturally inclusive world. Although Europe has one of the highest literacy rates in the world, adult iliteracy still grows but the subject is something of a taboo, while the implications of low literacy for the individual & society are often ignored. This project worked to empower adults with literacy problems by helping them to recognise the power of the written word, supporting them to become creative writers through focused teaching sessions. The Objectives were: 1. Create a Transnational Partnership to develop innovation & extend knowledge in the field of adult literacy, creative writing & community inclusion. Sharing teaching methodologies, marketing & event promotion skills across the partnership. 2. Help participants increase literacy skills by increasing their writing capacity. 2. Create 5 European ""Culturally Inclusive Learning Communities"", building on existing good practice. 3. Work with local organisations in each country to promote creativity & as an empowerment & inclusion tool. 4. Develop language skills to increase literacy skills of participants through joint training workshops & cultural activities. 5. Use celebrated & published writers & artists to inspire others & to demonstrate that ""everyone has a book within them!"" 6. Create 5 national members the EFFE Houses as Living Museums - each develops the national & EU ECIC Network. Numbers and profile of ParticipantsEach transnational partner hosted an event attended by at least 100 local, regional & European participants. The Methodology used:Reading needs to be fun and enjoyable so the partners used the focus of Community Learning Events to show how people struggling with low skills can be empowered within inclusive cultural communities.Participants were encourage to use simple prose, poetry & basic writing to contribute to community events. This was not only empowering, it also opens doors to further, more formal learning. This project enabled all participants, regardless of their initial skills level, to more ably express themselves by the written word. Each partner worked with a different genre and had a wider interest in the written word through promoting culture as a tool for empowerment, confidence building, community inclusion & personal achievement. Different art forms were used to assist with rehabilitation after a period of mental illness & partners wored together to exchange methodologies around teaching & training for those local people lacking basic skills. The project developed innovation with regard to life-mentoring, coaching & reading/writing, using local, relevant & fun occasions to deliver basic literacy lessons disguised through music, dance, theatre, film & festival. Results: • 1 transnational partnership Learning Platform defining good practice & methodology used to develop ""Culture Inclusive Community"" label. - 5 versions (one in each country) Anthology of first work new artists • 5 Learning Communities created - at least 100 people more able to express themselves in writing at the end of the project. • Introductions & opportunities for authors & aspiring writers to network & contribute to world literature. • New European Network ""Culture Inclusive Communities"" established through focused local cultural events, more inclusive communities promoted through the Network. • Opportunities for authors & aspiring writers to mix with publishers & critics • Raised awareness of ""Culture Inclusive Community"" as a model for sustainable rural development Impact: • Economic regeneration, tourism developed linked to cultural identity. • More than 100 people with increased skills more able to produce written works of their own."

    The project AESOP is centered on the innovative combination of youth work and the valorization of intangible cultural heritage in order to increase the employment of marginalized youth. Included in the framework of the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage, AESOP aims to develop the capacities of youth workers to utilize story-telling techniques and local community assets related with oral tradition in order to promote local development. It is recognized that intangible cultural heritage (and especially oral tradition) is a very significant potential source of development which is usually underused and underestimated. In the same time youth unemployment is very high especially among young people that have recently inhabited urban centres. In this framework, the consortium will focus on issues as storytelling, entrepreneurship, theatre techniques, social entrepreneurship, community based tourism, cultural management, marketing of cultural heritage related projects etc. The project is going to organise three capacity building seminars, addressed to youth workers, a guide for youth workers, research for the identification of the relevant cultural heritage assets and a platform where each young person that will participate in the activities will publish its activities. The project will be implemented by 5 partner organisations from 4 countries and 3 continents (Greece, Spain, Brazil, Vietnam) which represent theatre and cultural organisations and organisations active in the field of youth bringing in this way together the two groups.. All activities are based on a variety of non-formal educational methodologies, including seminars, study visits, debates, as well as a certification course on community reporting. Local performances are going also to be organized in each country in cooperation with a story-telling activity which is going to be organized at the end of the project in Brazil. The project is going to develop a number of open educational resources for the youth workers. At the end of the project, it is expected that youth workers and young people are going to develop significantly their skills in relation with the use of intangible cultural heritage as a source of local development and social inclusion for marginalized people.
