Through cooperation and exchange of know-how, we want to increase the quality of work in this area, bring new inspirations and methodologies for working with children and youth in their natural environment.<< Implementation >>We will implement training for youth workers/counselors. We will also organize ""job shadowing"" internships in both partner organizations. Both of these activities focus on increasing competencies and the quality of work. We will then test them in direct work with young people and transform all our knowledge and recommendations into a manual that can be used by other organizations. We will also prepare a professional seminar for experts, where we will share the results of the project.<< Results >>The project wants to support youth workers who work with youth and their families in crisis as part of counseling and preventive work in their homes. Thanks to professional education, exchange of know-how, mutual support of two partners, we will increase their competencies and also the quality of their work. This will have a direct impact on their clients. At the same time, the project will help to create a practical guide for for other youth workers who can use it."

Unlike emergency projects, they are characterised by a long-term approach and aim to empower local actors in a sustainable way. These projects can be carried out by different categories of actors (NGOs, associations or local authorities). Project managers hold a key position. They coordinate the projects and demonstrate the ability to manage all of the project management life cycle (needs assessment, project design , funding, implementation of activities, administrative and financial monitoring, partnership management, evaluation of project results, etc.). This position has several titles within development NGOs: Project Manager, Program or Programme Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Country Manager, Country Coordinator, etc. that is why it covers a large number of jobs, all over Europe. These jobs have evolved considerably for many different reasons: a wider range of stakeholders, the increasing level of donor requirements and security needs plus the implementation of digital and environmental approaches. In addition, the experience of the 3 partnership members demonstrate that ""project management"" has very different meanings over the world.<< Objectives >>The HOPE project aims to define and enhance, at European level, the competencies of development project managers and to strengthen them through the implementation of innovative trainings. It will develop an agreed definition, at a European level, of the profession and its competences, by prioritising them. It will identify training needs to compensate for the lack or insufficiency of certain skills. In this way, the HOPE project will contribute to the adaptation of vocational training to the needs of the labour market and will strengthen the partnership between companies (or non-profit organisations with employees) and training centres.<< Implementation >>To achieve these objectives, the following activities (related to project results) will be implemented. - To design a glossary in the languages of the partnership. This glossary will consist of a list of definitions, in 4 languages (English, French, Spanish and Portuguese) of useful terms connected to different project types and to the main competencies relating to project management. It will facilitate the exchanges between all partners all along the HOPE project and will help the implementation of the other project activities. - To carry out a European study on the skills of project managers in Overseas or European community development projects. This study will be carried out in the 4 partner countries and will focus on 2 levels: The skills expected when recruiting project managers. The skills developed by the project managers on the job. -To design a common language for project manager skills relating to European or Overseas community development projects. The objective for the partners will be to create a common list of skills, adapted to the different contexts of the partner countries and taking into account the evolution of jobs in the sector and also the results of the study-To design a training framework.Taking into account the previous project results, the partnership will define the topics and the learning outcomes of the training. -To create a training manual. This manual will be a support for trainers carrying out the training implementation. - To trial the training as an experiment (face-to-face). The learners will be project managers currently working and/or vocational students in project management. - To design an online training course. The face-to-face training will be adapted and put online to allow a large-scale roll out and enable learners to go at their own pace and in their own time. In addition, it will participate in the digital transition of individuals and organisations.<< Results >>HOPE project will allow : - to analyse the evolution of the project mangers of European and International development projects ;- to recognize and promote these project managers competencies at a European level ;- to strengthen the competencies of these project managers or future project managers ;- to improve the quality of the trainings in development project management ;- to reinforce the impact of the development projects for the benefit of their target groups ;- to promote the digital and environmental transition of the HOPE project participants (individuals and organisations)."

Non-formal education associations from Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia and Germany, and associated cultural and training entities in each country are part of the project. We consider that the areas of formal education, non-formal education, culture, social services and public health should be connected in another way to make better use of resources and to be more efficient in their strategies and in their tactics. We believe that incorporating artists and creators and cultural programs into socio-educational and training processes in a systematic and consistent way improves learning and promotes social inclusion. In addition, there is great opportunity for employment and innovation in this approach. Thus, the project will collect existing initiatives, and will agree on a methodological model that will then be tested in each participating territory and evaluated. In parallel, we will organize training events for trainers and for young educators and artists so that later in their countries they can multiply the processes. Later, we will create several products that will serve to inspire, guide and train youth actors in the development of socio-educational projects that incorporate artistic and cultural processes. And finally, we will present the results of the project in different informative actions that will promote above all the increase of formal and informal networks, of interdisciplinary connections.""CultureYouthLab: Youth Activation and Emancipation through Creative Processes"" will serve to improve socio-educational programs and to strengthen the cultural arts sector. This pandemic crisis requires us to accelerate some innovations already underway and can help us better reconnect services for youth and build more effective methodologies. Art and culture can be an axis that improves treatments, that helps us in social incorporation, that increases learning process, that reinforces employability and citizenship."

The aim is to promote the European objective of promoting high-quality youth work with marginalized youth and professionalization of youth workers. The project partners, all working with a special method of youthwork - outreach work - will focus on sharing good practice regarding up-to-date topics of radicalization, refugees, economy migration, unemployment of young people.Sharing of good practice was done via method of short, but intense and detailed reciprocal study visits of project partners from Czech Republic, Netherlands, Spain, Austria and Germany. Most project partners are platform organizations joining together large number of outreach (street) workers in their countries. Eg. Czech Streetwork Association (CAS), the applicant, joins together more than 90 outreach work organizations from all over the Czech Republic. Eight study visits took place throughout the project period, five youth streetworkers participated on each study visit. Local dissemination event took place in the Czech Republic at the end of the project - a conference for youth streetworkes and other relevant experts. A collection of professional reports from study visits - E-BOOK was produced to allow as many interested stakeholders as possible to gain good practice and experience from the series of study visits. The E-BOOK is available in English and Czech language.

The phenomenon of social exclusion continues to worsen, in Europe and Latin America, and situations of violation of the rights of the most vulnerable populations are increasing, particularly among young people living on the streets, who are often isolated and far from socio-educational services. The numbers of street children in partner countries remain very high due to the high level of poverty and extreme poverty. Although this scourge is greater among boys and young men in all partner countries, girls suffer different consequences from being on the streets, such as rape, abuse, exploitation, unwanted pregnancies and abortions, while boys are linked to armed groups, drug dealing and other anti-social behaviour. For this reason, it is urgent to work on street education from a gender perspective that seeks to give differential attention to girls and boys according to their gender conditions, with liberating and non-sexist pedagogies. The partners in the AMERICAS project are trying to work out together local responses to increasingly global forms of exclusion and the project aims to promote an accompaniment of marginalized groups through the Methodology of Street Education, that seeks to find the young person in the place where he or she lives and to build an educational relationship based on trust and that favours emancipation. Giving this methodology a rights-based approach and considering these young people as subjects of rights and not just objects of those rights is a message of political advocacy that the AMERICAS project wants to reinforce. The consortium plans to implement an international strategy that will lead to the following specific goals:- To strengthen, through training and exchange of good practices between peers, the skills and competences of hundreds of youth workers around the world in the approach of rights and gender equality in Street Education (micro level).- To strengthen the local, regional and international networks of street educators who use the rights and gender equality approach in street education (meso level)- Carry out advocacy and awareness-raising actions that should lead decision-makers in partner countries to strengthen, in the long term, the legal framework for the recognition of the rights and gender equality approach in street education (macro level).
