Cross-Border Participation - Beyond Europe is a project that functioned as the start of a greater network between young people in different countries. The beginning was made by young people from Germany, Poland, Great Britain and Indonesia. Together the involved persons worked on first practical experiences in entrepreneurship and own initiative. Also the project wanted to support the validation and recognition of non-formal learning and education. During the project a meeting took place between the responsibles of the organisations involved, in order to disucss strategies for the project and strategies on the content. The main focus of this project were however on the young people themselves. They help to shape this project and they will develop the network further and help establishing its structures. This process was supported by two EVS in Germany from Indonesia and one youth exchange in Indonesia with youngesters from all participating countries. Together they worked on European strategies for youth but also for global challenges. The outcomes of this project will be published in the form of a report.

"The project ""My Garden? - Our Garden!"" was based on the experiences of the group of young people from the previous years, in which they participate in several youth projects around environmental activities. The young people from Frankfurt (Oder) and Slubice have learnt a lot in those activties and wanted to take it to the next step and influence their local area with concrete measures. Some of the ideas for this Youth Initiative have come from other projects funded by Erasmus+. The project was embedded in their experiences and their plans to have an impact on their local area. The local area is in two countries, as Frankfurt (Oder) and Slubice are border cities. The activities have been carried out on both sides of the border. The aims of this project was to start the training and conduction of Permaculture workshops to introduce organic gardening, composting techniques and upcycling to at least 200 inhabitants and guests of Frankfurt(Oder) and Slubice, including actively the refugee and migrant society. Underaged unaccompanied refugees have become active members of the youth initiative. During the project time different stakeholders have supported this project, like for example oragnizations from the permaculture field that already made several projects and support with their knowledge and networks the project. At end of this project we have now a group of young leaders that is including young refugees that are able to start organic gardens on their owns and secure organic food locally and sustain themselves. Besides the practical aspects the young people also reflected and gained knowledge about permaculture gardens. They will conserve the environment and decrease the pollution which effect positively in climate change and people health and this will reflect on production of the city and raise the economy. The results and the ongoing project have been introduced to the wider public on several occasions during events in the cities but also through conferences and meetings as well as other activities that were implemented on the project side."
