The shortage of skilled workers is evident in many areas of the economy. Young disadvantageous people, on the other hand, must catch up on skills that are needed for the current and future labour market. There is a need for our project to minimize the gap between the two stakeholders. The employees in our diverse facilities also need support in imparting relevant skills. The trainers therefore must be trained to provide the young people with the necessary know-how. Learning digital methods plays an essential role here. Our employees need training on how to use digital tools in learning. Vocational preparation and vocational training, individual advice and support on the labour market need future-oriented development in the direction of technological and digital change, always from the perspective of inclusion. The Future Jobs from North to South project aims to respond to these developments in a three-step process. Thanks to the project partners' many years of experience with young, disadvantaged people, we can share our knowledge of the projects at European level. Objectives:We want to share the expertise of partner organizations and learn together new ways, how we can work with the world of work and achieve future qualification requirements. We aim to: 1. Improve the skills and competencies of the participating employees 2. Strengthen the link between the strategy of the organizations and the cooperation and collaboration with companies 3. Promote wider opportunities for cooperation and collaboration and joint development of partners 4. Get more visibility for internationalization 5. Raise the awareness of the needs of future jobs at all levels Participants:The partners in the project are CJD from Germany as a coordinator, CNOS-FAP from Italy, Luovi Vocational College from Finland and Stiftelsen Utbildning Nordkalotten, the Arctic Vocational Foundation, Utbildning Nord from Sweden. The partners have many years of expertise in working with young, disadvantaged people, in working with companies and in international work. Furthermore, all project partners have experience in working on international and national projects. The participants are teachers and other staff members who work closely with companies in as a part of their daily activities.Description of activities and methodology used:The method we use in the project is sharing good practises, sharing knowledge and learning together. We will organise one transnational project meetings during the project duration of two years. Otherwise coordinators meet online to monitor and evaluate the project progress and to ensure the sustainability of project results.Besides, LTT activities are important to work together in practice. There will be four LTT activities in the project, one in each participating country to share the knowledge and work together. We aim to involve companies and local authorities e.g. employment offices to participate. Each partner will collect background information of the characteristics of each country from surveys and other available sources. Between the activities we will work online, too. After every LTT activity the participants will publish a blog to share the core findings of the workshops. We have planned dissemination activities based on the wide networks of each partner to support the sustainability and use of the results. Results and impact:Blogs are the direct products of the working together. They will introduce the main findings and lessons learnt from each LTT activity. Besides, the blogs will result in a cooperation model, how VET providers can work with the companies and what are the different aspects that should be considered. The impact at individual participants’ level can be summarized as increased skills and competences in collaboration with the world of work as well as international skills. The participants will have a better understanding of the future skills and competences. At organisation level the impact will be a more developed models for collaboration with the companies and strengthened possibilities to meet the future needs of labour market. They will have more competent staff to work with the companies and more possibilities for international cooperation. The project process and results will reach a wide group of VET schools and companies through the networks directly involved and through linkages to other existing relevant organisations and networks.

The project idea is to develop a pilot training&couching and development tool to contribute to integration of the target group with special needs into the IT world. The model was developed to respect specificities and assess potential of the phisically disadvantaged job seekers. he project idea stemmed from the facts characterizing the current situation at the regional (incl. cross-border) job market. There is unfavorably high unemployment rate of people with disabilities. On the other side there are the growing IT enterprises which lack work force and struggle with inefficient recruitment. 1 300 open positions can be currently matched by 560 graduates from the ICT relevant disciplines. It also reveals that in the years to come the IT workforce demand will grow. The studies also suggests that to meet the profile of the specific ICT positions it is necessary to command a certain mix of qualifications which are currently not available in the desired combination in the VET structure. People with special needs deserve to get a chance to take work positions if they meet the requested criteria. Diversity and our sensitivity towards diversity as well as our ability to accept it and valorise it is to become one of the key factors in developmnet of employability in the near future on both the local and European levels. The cross-sectoral strategic partnership of 3 non-profit organisations (Carpathian Foundation SK, ZOM Prešov, SK, CJD, DE) and 2 IT enterprises (T-Systems Slovakia, IT Services Hungary) was united under the common interest: to enhance intergation and inclusion of people with special needs into IT work environment. Each of the partners contributed in its own expertise, know-how, experience, professional staff and contacts. After an exchange of know-how and experience followed by train-the-trainers activity and fieldtrip to the German organisations integrating people with multiple hendicaps into automotive manufacturing, the training- coaching model was developed. It was then tested on the pilot target group of 29 participants. The inovative model contains of: (1) an intensive interactive trainig Trampline, (2) Vocational Potential Assessment Center (VPAC) and (3) Elevator Development Center (EDC). Out of 29 candidates 12 succeeded in VPAC and 6 in EDC. 5 of the EDC trainees were recommended to follow their future profesisional careers in the IT sector. 1 is currently working on a full time contract in T-Systems Slovakia, 1 is enrolled with T-Systems University Programme, 2 have taken a 1 month internship in the partner company IT Services Hungary and 1 has returned to his IT entrepreneurship in his home town. Intellectual outputs VPAC and EDC have been localized by the Hungarian and German partners and thus are availabel in 4 languages (SK, Eng, DE and H). Multiplication event organized in Košice (SK) brought to one panel discussion reps of all involved sectors (schools, IT employers, regional government, NGOs, career counselors). They all declared that the door is opened for everyone, examples of good practice should be promoted and bariers should be identified, disadvanteaged job seekers should actively apply for open work positions and NGOs should step into active colaborations with employers. The project outputs have a good level of adaptability and can be used as a source for further adaptation as well as multiplication with other target groups.

This project was thought to inspire “good citizenship” for disadvantaged young people by elevating tolerance and generating a global understanding regarding the existence of a variety of possible points of view while finding common ground and eliminating kind of intolerance thinking patterns sustaining that there’s a right and a wrong way to interpret the world around us.Thus the project aimed at the following objectives: Toostrengthen communication skills, self-reliance, social competencies, and self-esteem among young people; oenhance tolerance and soft skills; oequip young people with relevant skills to be less vulnerable to intolerance thinking patterns; oequip teachers, social pedagogues, trainers and organizations involved with Visual Thinking Strategies (to further develop the concept in their fields of expertise); The VISUALIZE Project is the result of a strategic partnership between five European organizations: Christliches Jugenddorfwerk Deutschlands gemeinnütziger e.V. (CJD), Germany - educational institutionInstitut für Visuelle Bildung Institut für Visuelle Bildung (IVB), Austria - expert institution in visual thinking strategiesFundación INTRAS, Spain - educational institutionCenter for Development and Education (CDEK), FYROM - educational institutionBest Cybernetics, Greece - IT institutionAs a result more than 50 young people participated in VISUALIZE project in the three educational organizations taking part at the project after the professionals working there have been trained by the Austrian experts in the concept. In Germany, the group was composed of young people with special needs - physically and/or mentally. In Spain, young people attending the program had mental illnesses. Macedonian participants were composed of young people from rural environments influenced by various ethnic principles and political issues. The project was completed with four intellectual outputs. In IO 1 the state of the art was recorded via questionnaires with the participating youngsters and their trainers. Furthermore, the topic itself was addressed in order to create awareness as well as informing them on their participation in a European project. Afterwards, during IO2 the training paths and materials were developed on the principle of the visual thinking strategies, the results of the state of the art 1 report, and the information given on the different target groups. As a next step the technique was carried out within the three different groups of participants to adapt them on the findings of this piloting. For the visibility of the project a website was created and developed within IO3 by the technical experts of Best Cybernetics, Greece, with the contribution and feedback from all participating partners. Throughout the project implementation cycle the website has been revised and adjusted according to its needs. In IO 4 the same questionnaire as in IO1 was distributed among the participants and trainers in order to assess the impact and record a 2nd state of the art report. Additionally, the main product of IO 4 – the guidebook of the project - was been finalized in here in order to reach out and inform stakeholders who might be interested in carrying out the VISUALIZE Project with their work. It is presenting information about the project, the partners, the VISUALIZE Thinking Strategies and the competencies that can be acquired with its implementation. Moreover the experience in each partner organization is described in here, paying attention to special proceedings needed, difficulties, effects, and good practices. In today's throw-away society it seems that nothing is valuable, that we can change our clothes or even the people around us in the blink of an eye. We want people to return to valuing what is all around them; show them that creativity, lifelong learning and empathy are powerful tools than can change the world!Chic&Craft is an on-line training course specially designed for people with mental health issues which aims to re-use and recycle second-hand clothes and waste materials, creating a unique European fashion brand where hand-craft designs and original creations play a major role. Hand-craft is a therapeutic activity; through crafts, people can express themselves in a safe, non-threatening manner, which may be easier than sharing their internal feelings verbally. Inspired by this way of understanding the world, a complete set of training modules have been created including creative ideas to implement with vulnerable training groups. 63 people with mental illness have been trained in Spain, Slovenia, Germany, Greece and Lithuania during six months. Feedback from these experiences helped us to improve the quality of the teaching materials developed and, hopefully, will inspire other organizations to reproduce it in the future. The key innovative factor in this training course lies in the methodology of peer learning which complements the recycling textiles technical knowledge. The figure of the peer mentor has been created to help the trainees to realise their hidden abilities and commit with their own learning process. Peer learning is mutually beneficial and involves the sharing of knowledge, ideas and experience between the participants. Through practical experiences, trainees achieved to develop skills in organizing activities, working with others in a collaborative way, giving and receiving feedback and assessing their own learning process. A practical toolkit is available on the platform, including tips and suggestions to apply peer learning to empower people with mental illness, being applicable also to other training courses.Chic&Craft is an explosive mix of creativity, imagination, artistic expression, responsibility, recovery, communication, team building and autonomy.
