This presents an Europe-wide problem - young people from different backgrounds might have a learning barrier due to a combination of social, economical and cultural factors. Now all those preexisting factors are combined with a new issue - COVID-19. The unique situation contributed to the already hectic lives of youth and is just another hindrance in their efforts to succeed. In our project, we focus on the groups with fewer opportunities, namely, immigrant youth since they have been one of the most affected groups in these times. The objectives of our project are to help young immigrants and people from different cultural backgrounds develop career competencies that are aligned with current business needs via board games. The competencies the project focuses on are mother tongue fluency, foreign language acquisition, mathematical literacy, competence in science and technology, digital competence, learning to learn, interpersonal, intercultural, social and civic competence, entrepreneurship and cultural expressions. Moreover, these employability skills are applicable in various sectors of the economy and are needed for immigrants to overcome various barriers, such as language barriers, prejudice or economic difficulties. Apart from an employability standpoint, these competencies will also prove valuable for those participating in online classes since the digital skills, combined with organizational skills, are of the utmost importance for success in a digital academic environment. The main participants will be young people with an immigration background and during the initial stages of the games, partners will conduct a series of one-day career skills workshops with 30 participants from said target groups. After the end of the project, we expect that the stakeholders would be serving 500 young people in the first year. The project activities are divided into 4 main stages. The first stage includes research on the current situation of the target audience and the business needs in all partnering countries, while the second stage focuses on the content and development of the board games and youth workers’ training according to the design thinking methodology, which offers methods for creative problem-solving. Thereafter, continuous beta testing will be utilized as well as implementing feedback and a launch campaign specific for each country will mark the fourth stage of the project. The result we will produce are:- a 30% increase of young players’ employability and suitability for higher-paid jobs- 600 young people between the ages of 15 and 21 using the games and tools during the first year after the games have been released- To reach over 6000 young people in total in all partnering countries in 5 years from the project completion.- To equip 50 youth workers from NGOs and the public sector to use the tools actively and effectively during the first year of tools release.- To reach over 300 youth workers in 5 years after the project is completed.

THE DNA OF THE TOLERANCE creates cultural support for young people, youth educators and the local community, to help them overcome the barriers that are imposed by concepts such as race, language and different cultural values using a common language: art.The idea common to all partners is that the inclusion of youth minorities can be improved by using the different types of artistic communication, as a means for youth educators to reach out to marginalized young people and to include them in local communities.Project activity:1. Exchange of methodologies and tools for the recognition of the different ""artistic"" communications of young people;2. Provide youth educators with specific tools to recognize the most effective expressive communications to encourage inclusion in local contexts;3. Describe and test the tools with which young people tell the community.4. Training of educators and staff in the construction of future activity plans aimed at improving the inclusion of young people.5. Training of educators and staff in the use of a training kit that contains the realization of an event to present the young person through his / her artistic / expressive communication skills.Expected results:1. Support the work of youth educators in defining and recognizing the artistic communication of their young people;2. Break the barriers of intolerance;3. Increase youth placement in local communities by 30%.4. Improve the work of all the staff in collaboration with educators, families and communities.5. Improve the capacity of involvement and effectiveness of the activities proposed by the partner organizations. Our project target is primarily the youth educator who works with young people from disadvantaged situations (economic, social, etc.) aged between 16 and 25 years. Below the staff of youth organizations that interact with educators, families and the community. And as final beneficiaries, the young people who meet the participating educators on a daily basis. The project includes three national activities and two training events that aim to prepare the participating target to use the tools collected during the planned activities. The three national activities will be translated into field research to define:- How to recognize artistic or expressive communication skills;- How to use and channel these skills, making the young people involved view different points of view;- Establish the contents of the training kit for educators involved in the inclusion of youth minorities.LTTA training events1st training event for the educator: short non-formal training course and online activity, entitled ""Overcoming barriers"".2nd training event for the youth educator: short non-formal training course and online activity, entitled ""How to use the training kit"" and carry out social inclusion events. We expect a professional growth of the youth educators participating in the project, through:- a development in the use of different types of communication (verbal, non-verbal and para-verbal);- greater security in recognizing the expressive communication of young people;- the practical ability to see young people in local communities inserted, accepted, supported and involved."

Learning entrepreneurial and critical thinking skills is not only an additional incentive when taking an English language course, but it is also a necessity. Necessity to the extent that people who learn another language, usually learn it in order to develop their competencies professionally. An advanced vocabulary and competency skill expansion are particularly important and can increase employment as well as increase career opportunities nationally and internationally. The rhythm of modern life has become so fast and saturated, that language educators must think of new, exciting and advanced language learning incentives, in order to encourage students to learn languages, hence increasing the number of new customers. This project is born as a response to the current reality across all partner organisations. Firstly, to the need of encouraging and educating teaching possibilities for English language learners. And secondly, to the need of reaching new groups of potential students to increase the number of new clients for the organisations. All partners involved see this project as an opportunity to address these needs internationally by sharing and confronting practices and methods. Valodu Mape Sia (Latvia) is the leading organisation in this project with 15 years of expereince in language teaching for youth and adults, including unemployed people, migrants and foreigners which have business in Latvia. Valodu Mape will look after the coordination process between all partner institutions and project management activities for this project. Eurospeak (UK) is predominantly active in the field of youth and adult education in language learning, vocational and educational training (VET), intercultural understanding, community development and e-learning. As native English language speakers they will be responsible for quality management and evaluation in terms of proofreading all materials used in the project. Akademie für Politische Bildung und demokratiefördernde Maßnahmen (Austria) is a NGO that pursues further education in the sense of political education. They have already implemented numerous projects in the entrepreneurship area and have experience in the design of innovative teaching methods. Their main responsibilities will be related to implementation of the dissemination plan. Edu Compass Foundation (Bulgaria) is a NGO which focuses on developing employability skills, including foreing language learning and literacy skills as well as cultural studies. Their main responsibilities will involve creation and management of evaluation plan and evaluation reports. Libera Università Europea Terza età Campania (LUETEC) (Italy) has established itself as a LLE center for young and adult people offering different training paths for young, adult and elderly students. Their experience in short staff training courses design and implementation both at local and international level is an added value in this new project. Their responsibilities will involve preparation of projects’ sustainability plan. As part of this project five transnational meetings (TPM) which will include 2-3 participants from each organisation, one teacher training with the same amount of participants as well as one learning mobility/Bootcamp for students with around 15-20 participants will be held. In total we plan to involve at least 300 participants.TPM’s are the key instruments for project coordination and management. The mobilities play a fundamental role in the achievement of the project goals and objectives. The teaching training will enhance staff competencies and skills in each organisation. Methodologies we will apply are research, piloting, dissemination, questionnaires. As a result of this project, we expect to find an accurate layout of the Bootcamp Programme which can then be implemented across all partner institutions. We hope to be able to encourage and facilitate the ‘exchange of best practices’ in English language teaching, expand the number of students we are able to reach, and increase awareness amongst English language teachers and students of skill-based learning. This Strategic Partnership project will also enable us to establish long-term, fruitful partnerships with the participating organisations, which will benefit us mutually in the future. In respect to long term benefits, we hope this project will prove the necessity to develop other skill based programmes in conjunction with language learning accross adult education institutions. It will open an opportunity to develop further projects with an intellectual output giving greater possibilities for adult organisations to provide courses with approvededucational programmes.
