Research institutes and universities in South Africa and the Netherlands are collaborating on research and design of current and future radio telescopes and radio telescope networks. In particular, the Square Kilometer Array (SKA) as the worlds largest radio telescope under development is a common long-term focus that requires more intensive knowledge sharing before the next implementation steps can be taken. The aim of this project is to facilitate exchange visits and knowledge dissemination between Dutch and South African radio astronomy scientists and engineers.
