In order to allow that to happen it's important to create an environment where they have access to qualified advice and guidance and to further professional development opportunities. The goal of this project is therefore to prepare policy recommendations and toolkits for and with relevant stakeholders (public institutions, employers, adult education organisations and NGOs) that will enable them to create a more supportive environment for the professional growth and economic integration of migrants. To fulfil this goal, we need to deeply understand the needs of our target group and the deficits of the existing environment that should be able to address them. For this reason we will map and analyse the existing situation in all partner countries by organising 30 interviews (5 interviews with public/civil servants and NGOs, 5 interviews with HR managers, 20 interviews with migrant workers from non-EU countries) in every partnership country (Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia and Slovakia). A part of this background research will also be a report on best practices that will document the cases when migrants are getting good support in their career growth which can serve as examples to be replicated elsewhere. After the research part, we will organize 4 study visits (one in every partnership country). The main purpose and content of the visits will be a presentation of findings from the first phase, immersion in career guidance on the national level (explanation and showcasing), introduction of relevant stakeholders and sharing of best practices. Following study visits will be the preparation of the policy recommendations and compact toolkits for specific types of stakeholders. Policy recommendations will serve as suggestions and guidelines on the course of action and priorities for policymakers, public sector, employers, institutes of adult education and relevant NGOs. The toolkits will be tailor-made practical guides advising specific types of stakeholders how to translate policy recommendations into their daily reality. All throughout the project implementation, a special emphasis will be put on cooperation and networking amongst stakeholders. Contacts of all relevant stakeholders will be collected on a rolling basis throughout the project ́s phases and an effort will be made to engage them in the preparation of the outputs. During the last phase of the project, we will organize four multiplier events (one in every partner country), which will help us share and increase the visibility of the project ́s results amongst stakeholders. A database of the stakeholders ́ contacts will also be presented and shared at this event for purposes of future partnerships. All events and results will be communicated with a press release and by publishing information on partners ́ websites and social media.

Culture and arts are in fact powerful channels for sharing and transmitting values (cf. the European Commission's communication ""New pact on migration and asylum""/Brussels, 23 Sept 2020). The MigrArts project participates directly in building a sense of ‘living together’. On one hand, the MigrArts project is intended to support the recognition and effective consideration of migrants’ cultural Rights. On the other hand, the project aims to promote self-fulfillment through the development of creative skills and a sense of belonging. The project aims at supporting structures working in the cultural field or in charge of the integration of migrants to work together in an innovative, inter-sectoral and intercultural approach. In fact, the cultural dimension is not or has not been correctly taken into account in migrants’ integration policies. Moreover, migrants constitute most of the time a new target group for structures working in the fields of culture and culture mediation. The project therefore aims to give concrete tools to these associative and institutional actors to enrich their knowledge, skills and competences so that they can build inclusive and emancipating cultural and artistic activities, with and for migrants. The MigrArts project also values the commitment and participation of migrants through a co-construction approach. The latter are encouraged to take an active part in the elaboration of the project. MigrArts thus promotes proactive citizenship around common values. The MigrArts project is even more necessary as the social and economic crisis linked to Covid-19 has reinforced unequal access to culture of the most disadvantaged social categories and therefore of a large part of migrants.<< Objectives >>The MigrArts project aims at promoting a better integration of migrants through arts and culture, at local, national and European levels. It therefore plans to build an inclusive and emancipating approach for migrants through cultural and artistic activities and more specifically to :>Include cultural Rights in projects targeting migrants;>Co-build cultural and artistic activities with migrants and encourage their social inclusion as well as the emergence of a European consciousness/awareness;>Develop and enhance migrants’ psychosocial skills to improve their social, professional and civic integration;>Encourage political decision-makers to integrate art and culture in an action plan for migrants.<< Implementation >>The partners of the MigrArts project will share their research, resources and experiences and create different tools to build an inclusive and emancipating approach for migrants through cultural and artistic activities. They will participate in transnational learning activities to deepen the project’s key themes (cultural Rights, valuing learning outcomes in a non-formal setting). They will associate volunteer participants from associations and institutions in the sectors of cultural sector and mediation and integration for migrants as well as migrants themselves (of all statuses) in order to experiment and analyze a common methodological framework for innovative practices. They will also produce tools resulting from this experimental approach, intended to wide dissemination, as well as to encourage and facilitate other similar initiatives. Those tools are:-Practical guide for an inclusive and emancipatory approach to migrants through cultural and artistic activities-Pedagogical frameworks to enhance training of adults in thematic areas of the MigrArts project.<< Results >>The direct outcomes of the MigrArts project are:>The definition of a methodological framework>The establishment of an inclusive and emancipating approach of migrants through cultural and artistic activities through which the cultural Rights of migrants are taken into account>The training of structures working in the cultural, cultural mediation and the integration of migrants in taking into account the cultural rights of migrants in their activities thanks to facilitating tools.>The following facilitating tools :-Practical guide for an inclusive and emancipatory approach to migrants through cultural and artistic activities-Pedagogical frameworks to enhance adults training in the thematic areas of the MigrArts project. The other expected effects of the project are:>The exchange of good practices within a European consortium>The promotion of the European cultural heritage and of a European identity through arts and cultural practices.> Raising public and political awareness at several levels (local, national and European) concerning the integration of migrants and specifically through arts and culture."

Countries all over the Europe are engaged in developing strategies in integration and education of migrants, refugees and newcomers, and national and transnational institutions are still only beginning to develop suitable frameworks education in common, democratic values, civic engagement and participation with migrant adult learners. Integrating newcomers into our societies is a challenge which can only be solved on a transnational level. In our project, “Democratic Heritage - Memorials and heritage museums engaging migrants in developing resilient democracies”(DH) seven partners working with cultural heritage such as memorial sites, museums, NGOs, governmental institutions, and cultural centers have gathered to develop a cross-European forum where we will share and evaluate our best practices in adult migrant learning of common values, civil and democratic competencies: experiences and methods in working with newcomers, refugees and migrants. Using the European Councils democratic competencies together with the expertise from our institutions current learning programs, DH wishes to share and develop best practices on how institutions can further develop their innovative participatory methodologies and activities minted on newcomers, refugees and migrant populations in differing European contexts. The project includes workshops on best practices across borders, data gathering as well as evaluation of innovative methods and practices. The evaluation will be conducted based on surveys and questionnaires developed by the project group and will provide new and useful knowledge which will further advance the knowledge of democratic learning for migrants, refugees and newcomers. Profile of participants: The partnership will work in close contact to establish differing engagement strategies dependent on the participating groups varying situations. This will be a challenging task, but one we hope will engender a series of best practises which contain transferable knowledge and skills, allowing for differing institutions to learn from each other and carry these learning solutions through e-learning activities, written reports and published material. The PP’s involved are The Falstad Centre (Nor), Filipstad cultural school (Swe), World Value Survey (Swe), The Green Cultural and Educational Centre Visio (Fin), Art 27 (Blg), The University of Murcia (UMU), and the Centre of Peace Studies (Croatia). Objectives: The main objective of DH will be to share and develop the institutions innovative participatory methodologies, and seeing how they correspond to the learning requirements detailed in the Council of Europe’s democratic competencies. This will be ensured through the committing to a series of transnational best practice workshops and the production of a handbook, serving as intellectual outputs co-produced by all project partners. The handbook is translated to 7 languages.A second objective will be to collate and collect the data from the activities to help generate more information on the effect that this methodology can have on refugee, migrants and newcomers, relating to the European Council Democratic Competencies. This will be ensured through the development of a survey by the World Value Survey which serves as a second intellectual output, and will allow the collection of underrepresented data from migrant, refugee and newcomer populations. A third objective is the creation of a project website, which will share best practices, concrete examples as well as survey data, which will be available to other institutions engaged in adult migrant learning programs beyond the project periode. The partners involved in this project represent various organizations in the EU/EAA who all have developed and practice different strategies in working with migrants, refugees and newcomer through shared frame of common values, civic engagement and participation. Having a diverse set of partners allows this project to collect responses from both participants and teachers as well as collecting an international sample of empirical material from groups of migrants and refugees that are underrepresented in statistical studies. Developing a cross-european forum where experiences, techniques and methodologies in working with migrants, refugees and newcomer education can be shared, developed and tested in the field is a one of the primary objectives that this project will contribute to.

Commonfare is a new collaborative form of welfare provision based on equitable governance and grassroots democracy. It entails the involvement of diverse stakeholders to facilitate the bottom-up arousal of collective practices tackling the needs of the new poor (precarious workers, working poor, NEETs, people left behind by safety nets). The consortium will achieve this goal through a Collective Awareness Platform (CAPS) which (a) informs people about existing welfare state provisions, (b) provides them with the means to share good practices on how to handle poverty-related issues, and (c) supports their abilities to network and to sustain real-life value. The project pioneers commonfare as a new social innovation goal by raising collective awareness on the threats connected to Poverty, lack of Income, and unEmployment (‘PIE conditions’), thus empowering the new poor and enabling the relevant stakeholders, e.g. polivcy makers, to tackle such threats more effectively. Three pilot actions (in Croatia, Italy, and the Netherlands) will drive the design and implementation of the PIE News project, triggering a public engagement process. PIE NEWS capitalizes on the collective power and skills of the ‘new poor’ promoting commonfare through actions that increase collective awareness on PIE Conditions. Such actions will be supported by an extensive dissemination strategy, including, e. g., open calls for the organization of bottom-up networking events. The PIE News platform will innovate the CAPS domain not only in terms of target population and, public design approach, but also by combining a reputation system as a way to remunerate labour with a digital currency as a mean of acquisition of good and services within and outside the platform.
