“Projecting YOUth” is a European project coordinated by Asociación Juvenil Teatral On&Off (Spain) in cooperation with Calypso - il teatro per il sociale (Italy) and Integration För Alla (Sweden) which main aim is to improve among young people those basic and horizontal competences needed on each personal and professional field, but focused on its use on the development and creation of theater and artistic projects that do not only increase the active participation of youth, but also promote on the communities on which they could take place, values centered on achieving an inclusive society.Funded under the Key Action 2 of the European Commission’s mobility and education programme Erasmus+ (Strategic partnership for youth), “Projecting YOUth” is a one-year partnership at international level that aims to join together organisations and experts from different countries in order to work and exchange good practices related to the training of young people for their employability on the mentioned field, and that could allow them to develop their own initiatives thanks to a combination of formal and non formal methodologies. To achieve this, partner organisations have designed and will develop different workshops at local level that will provide concrete competences and create learning materials for young people using as a base the theory of the multiple intelligences of Howard Gardner: Musical–rhythmic and harmonic, Visual– spatial, Verbal–linguistic, Logical mathematical, Bodily-kinesthetic, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Naturalistic and Existential. Even if these workshops will be especially focused on training young people to develop artistic and theater projects, these materials (Collected in a manual) will be suitable for any kind of young person who aims to promote him/her own internal development and acquire horizontal competences basic for any kind of position within the labor market and on the professional field.During the project implementation, partner organisations from the three mentioned countries will run together different activities such as:- Coordination meetings on the project partner countries in order to get to know the best practices and local projects related to youth education through arts and theater.- Design, creation, test and publication of a manual for organisations managing projects for young people, who aim to develop their skills and especially those related to the creation and implementation of theater and drama events for personal or professional reasons.- Transnational activities for youth trainers to capacitate them to use the project outputs.- Local activities for learners (young people) interested on improving their personal competences and professional profiles through the use of theater or by creating their own artistic projects and events.- Visibility and multiplier events on each partner country to disseminate the project results. The work of the partnership will give the opportunity to all organisations working with the education of young people through theatre and drama techniques to access to quality and innovative learning materials specifically adapted to their target groups, therefore ensuring that no one becomes a person at risk of social exclusion and promoting their professional and personal growing through local projects and international initiatives related to the theatre field.

According to Eurostat statistics, 2.4 million third-country nationals arrived in the EU-27 in 2018. In 2018, EU-27 Member States granted citizenship to 672,000 people. Half of the immigrants arriving in Europe are YOUNG, under the age of 29. Even if in recent years the flows have been reduced, due to national decrees that want to reject, European indications that impose an obligatory solidarity and distribution, in fact the problems linked to the reception and integration of these people in the European territories of arrival all remain on the field .For those young people welcomed in reception centers across Europe, many obstacles in obtaining residence permits or refugee status and live in constant fear of being expelled or unable to integrate into the socio-economic fabric of the host country. Many of these young migrants and refugees have experienced violence and abuse, affecting their psychological and physical well-being. These elements strongly influence the life paths of young migrants towards autonomy. Anxiety and uncertainty about the future make young migrants apathetic and unresponsive to cultural, social and relational activities and initiatives.Episodes of serious discrimination, fomented a wrong communication and hatred online towards the foreigners, unfortunately occur more and more frequently, even among the youth population of our countries.Young migrants are increasingly subject to strong dichotomies leading to augmented marginalization and related problems of public order. Some attempt assimilation, a process through which the young person tries, consciously or unconsciously, to resemble others, absorbing the culture of the host country and denying his own.The RE.BE.CO project was born from a strategic partnership for the exchange of good practices useful for the inclusion in positive and participatory contexts of immigrant, foreign and often marginalized young immigrants also through better inclusion and communication and representation of the migrant on the media and in the newspapers.OBJECTIVES: The RE.BE.CO project is an exchange project of good practices on the inclusion of young migrants.A project based on sharing and participation, stemming from the bottom up and from listening to their real needs. The project inserts young migrants (RE.BE.CO) in reception contexts, trained for the purpose. RE.BE.CO. shares the best operational practices to INCLUDE young migrants and face their daily difficulties, also in relation to relations with their European peers and civil and educating society and the world of communication.Operationally, the project intervenes to connect young foreign guests with the project’s RE.BE.CO operators, also young migrants active in the Centers as operators or volunteers, who appropriately trained with good practices, will work in teams, closely other educators / operators to improve the dynamics of relations with young people and with their families, when present. The project has a strong impact both on the subjects of the partnership, on young foreign guests, and on the socio-economic fabric of the territories. The outstanding work of RE.BE.CO is concerned with consolidating the skills of its operators or volunteers, habitually working closely with young people on the margins. Good practice, and the emphasis on the training and teamwork of young people, can be replicated by the involvement of yet more young people working in reception centers in other territories.Target of the project are 30 RE.BE.CO trained to act on a target of over 1000 young migrants (minors, adolescents, young people up to 30 years) who gravitate around our reception centers and other connected structures.Target of the project are our centers operators, the families, both of our young migrants, when they are present, and both of the local young people, the Institutions, the school and the civil and educating society’s members. The project will involve about 5,000 subjects, including young foreigners, local young people, their families, citizens, volunteers and operators, teachers, public bodies, associations, by a network of 60 local partner bodies. These subjects will be involved through direct contacts and through 20 micro communication events, co-organized in the territories.A system for detecting satisfaction and perception change, will be developed by the partnership, to monitor the impact on specific targets.

"The “Declaration on Promoting citizenship and the common values of freedom, tolerance and non-discrimination through education” of March 2015 identified the risks for the future of European youngsters and the Union itself posed by marginalization and lack of opportunities for young people, called for a joint effort of all EU countries to promote youth participation by ensuring inclusive education, combating geographical, social and educational inequalities by fostering education of disadvantaged young people. The present project was a strategic cooperation among 3 NGOs from throughout Europe directly engaged in supporting disadvantaged categories of NEET youths through the management of Youth Centers as specialized facilities wherein disadvantaged young people are involved in recreational and educational activities delivered through NFE targeted at empowering them with soft skills, employability skills, civic and social competences. Many youngsters in European countries face the harsh realities of marginalization and social exclusion in their daily lives. In this respect, the problems faced by disadvantaged NEET youngsters- which represent the main target category in the daily operations of Youth Centers managed by partner organizations- are particularly severe and wide-ranging, as is their overall socioeconomic vulnerability. Indeed, these youngsters face substantial disparities with their peers in realms as disparate as education, employability, personal development, civic and social participation. Among the most visible symptoms of the foregoing disparities is a substantial percentage of early school leavers as well as engagement in socially and personally disruptive conduits (drug/alcohol abuse, vandalism, violence, petty crime etc.) among disadvantaged NEET youngsters.A SWOT analysis coordinately enacted by partner organizations further identified the aloofness of disadvantaged NEET youngsters from institutional circuits of education and support (Schools, Associations, Political Parties etc.) as one of the main factors underneath the partial failure of formal setups in providing a comprehensive approach to ensure social integration, employability and personal development of these fragile categories.“We’ll Let You In” (WLYI) attained the aforementioned goals through a strategic cooperation wherein disadvantaged youth NEETs from each partner organization where involved in three mobility experiences in which they entered into contact with peers from other partner countries, attended common educational activities delivered through Non Formal Education related to each partner’s area of expertise Art, Theatre and Music, as well as worked on the development of shared outputs:- BMYP Italy - participants created a graffiti in the Youth Cultural Centre of Uri municipality;- BMYP Romania - participants created and played a theatre permormance for the municipality of Targu Jiu;- BMYP Sweden - participant creadet and played some concert shows in a flash-mob style in different main meeting points of Helsinborg municipality.- The Handbook ""Tools to InspirAct"" is the results of the best practices and experiences gathered during the overall implementation of the project. At the same time, partner organizations engaged in a sharing of knowledge, best practices and NFE tools whose results were disseminated in the internal structure of each organization, increasing staff professionalism and by consequence the quality of NFE activities delivered in Youth Centers. Promotion and dissemination of outputs and materials by partners through a variety of online and offline tools made sure that the results arrived at in the context of the present project sensibly enhanced and supported Youth Centers and NGOs throughout Europe.Project aims were:- Fostering empowerment and inclusion of disadvantaged NEET youngsters through international mobility, peer-interaction and Non Formal Education.- Raise awareness among policy-makers, NGOs, stakeholders and the general public about the role of Youth Centers as hybrid structures (recreational/educational) supporting youth integration and development (in particular of the most disadvantaged youth categories) through NFE and as such narrowing disparities and gaps left by the formal education system.- Exchange knowledge, best practices and NFE tools among NGOs from different European countries as a means to collect national/cultural backpacks and toolkits of NFE in order to improve professionalism of youth workers, variety and quality of educational activities delivered in Youth Centers with a view to enhancing quality and effectiveness of youth work in Europe."

"According to objectives pursued and needs of the target groups to be addressed, this is the project rationale. I. The project is going to design, implement and disseminate a ludic and educational kit (The ENTER kit) composed by a board game and supporting tools (a cartoon video, a video tutorial and a mini-guide) focused on EU Citizenship, EU awareness and Democracy (equal opportunities for all, discrimination, social exclusion, participation, political rights): a highly flexible and customizable kit, suitable for re-processing and subsequent integrations to be used by youth workers with a wide range of targets (youngsters, people with fewer opportunities, NEETs, drop out students, persons of recent immigration, refugees, adults, senior). The kit and the project are going to implement, test and promote a making learning fun methodology. This kind of methodology has been chosen for its widely demonstrated effectiveness, above all for the positive results it can get with people of all ages in particular with fewer opportunity people (for instance drop out students, NEETs, people who have been out of the education system for a long time, persons of recent immigration, refugees, unaccompanied minors). The target involved are the youth workers and the above mentioned youth workers' target groups. According to this objective, The ENTER kit aims to: -improve the quality of youth work within the participants teams; -offer to youth workers an informal learning tool to help them in their role as a provider of non-formal learning opportunities to different target groups; -actively involve new targets in a debate on the focused issues and in the daily youth work; -increase youth workers and ytheir target groups set of knowledge regarding culture heritage, traditions, habits, other than their own; - increase participatory democracy through promoting the youth participation and active citizenship among new targets groups; -acquire specialized NFE training skills; -elaborate a multi-target, flexible tool adequate to ""special needs"" targets; -offer tailored made learning tools to different target groups. II. The project is going to experience an alliance between local and regional political decision makers, public bodies, NGOs, youth centers, adult and senior centers, teachers, trainers, people engaged in educational processes, associations, refugee centers, on the focused issues. By this point of view the involved targets are the youth workers, together with all the main project stakeholders. The pointed objective responds to the need to widen and professionalize the working context of the youth workers to a wide range of target groups. The pointed objective responds to the need of stakeholders to wide their networks, to improve their curricula, to know European best practices and deeply know the opportunities that Erasmus+ programs offer. III. The project is going to experience and promote an innovative international (EU countries and partner country) cross sectorial partnership (two youth centers, one private company and one research institute) with the aim to reinforce the dialogue among highly different, but complementary entities and to use each partners competences for the benefit of youth workers and all the people they potentially get in touch with. The time frame for the achievement of the objectives is detailed in the project GANTT and in the Implementation box. So it is for the number of people involved. Transnationality The needs, that the project aims to answer to, are common to most of the European countries, even if the way they are tackled is different and there are great differences within the EU. Such a project is ideally ""no boundaries"" and is based on the idea of a multi, positive, amusing diversity: no reason to get it within national boundaries. The transnationality of the project enables to: -look at the project topic by an European, shared, point of view, approaching it from different cultural, economic, legal, political prospective; -share the single country best practices; -use the complementary competences, expertise and experiences of different organizations, that are, in the project are well represented, shared and mixed; -wide the stakeholder network at European level."

"This project aimed to respond to two key priorities: promoting a high-quality of youth work and strengthening education and training paths of youth workers. The selected priorities matched the project framework by the following points of view. The project designed, implemented and disseminated a ludic and educational kit (The NET NET kit) composed by a board game and supporting tools (a cartoon video, a video tutorial and a mini-guide) which focused on EU Citizenship, EU awareness and Democracy (equal opportunities for all, discrimination, social exclusion, participation, political rights): this is a highly flexible and customizable kit, suitable for re-processing and subsequent integrations to be used by youth workers with a wide range of targets (youngsters, people with fewer opportunities, NEETs, drop out students, persons of recent immigration, refugees, adults, senior). The NET NET kit helped youth workers in their role as a multi-target provider of non-formal learning opportunities which empowered them and their social awareness, their citizenship, with the aim of sharing it with “multicolored” targets an amusing learning process and to explore, as in a learning fun travel, some of the crucial topics of Europe today: EU Citizenship, EU awareness and Democracy topics. The kit implementation was improved by the partnership with the support of a multicultural youth worker team composed by youth workers representing, at its best, European multiculturalism and diversity and selected in each partners country: Sweden,Turkey, Italy and Spain. Starting from these core objectives, the project profile widened its horizons looking at the world around with the aim to promote a learning by playing/making learning fun methodology and got positive results with people of all ages and backgrounds, in particular people with fewer opportunity. The project experienced an alliance between youth workers centers, schools, adult and senior centers, public bodies, private companies, etc. on the focused issues and finally experienced and promoted an innovative cross sectorial partnership (two youth centers, one private company, one research institute) and was able to reinforce the dialogue among highly different, but complementary entities. In addition the multicultural and multi sectoral partners profile allowed the project to involve actively a wide range of stakeholders. The NET NET kit was released as an OER: the do-it-yourself kit, containing suggestions, templates, instructions, and made users build by themselves a customized version of the game. This action is considered to be crucial in creating long term benefits and allowed the results of the project to be heavily promoted among youth workers and their stakeholders. The project activities took place over 24 months, in four countries, from north to south Europe: from Sweden to Turkey, passing through Italy and Spain. The partnership was built as a ""melting team"" made by complementary competences and expertises, background and missions in order to achieve a common goal. The project team was willing to contribute to the mainstreaming of the idea that diversity, expressed as EU Citizenship, EU awareness and Democracy, creativity and culture and equal opportunities for all, is a win-win development factor. The participants in the project, during its whole cycle, was around 350 including also people with fewer opportunities and special needs. The participants were actively taking part in the testing phase, in a series of labs in youth centers (involving at least 100 youth workers) and in the multiplier events: a medium that valorized a widespread and multi-target network and the importance of the high quality of youth work. The multiplier events hosted about 200 people including youth workers, teachers, trainers, decision makers, and all the main project stakeholders (local and regional political decision makers, public bodies, NGOs, youth centers, adult and senior centers, people engaged in educational processes, Associations, refugee centers). The project was divided into phases, some of them transversal to the project whole cycle (project management, evaluation and dissemination): the NET NET milestones, the transnational meetings, one in each partner country: Sweden, Italy, Turkey and Spain; the intellectual output implementation and the connected 4 multiplier events, one in each partner country. The multiplier events valorized, in a widespread and multi-target network, the importance of the high quality of youth work."
