<< Background >>The gender gap in ICT courses, jobs and functions is a well-documented global phenomenon. According to Eurostat, as of 2018, in the EU women account for only one in six ICT students (16.7%) while in the job market they represent only 17.2% (1.4 million) of all employed ICT specialists. In order to a) fight stereotypes within institutions that can enable or hinder the women participation in the ICT sector, b) equip the ICT sector with necessary skills, tools and knowledge to empower woman in ICT and better integrate both sexes in all its functions and level of responsibility, and c) assist all structural, law-making, academic and grass-roots efforts towards the vision of closing the gender gap within the ICT sector, this project will design and implement an interactive and action-based non-formal training program and an innovative project design methodology, aiming at empowering and promoting the equal participation, representation and treatment of women in ICT.The program that will be developed aims to enhance the access and employability of women in the ICT sector while degreasing the recorded dropout rates, by supporting employers (enterprises of the ICT sector), ICT business incubators, municipalities and prefectures as well as individual women wishing to enter or remain in the ICT workforce as employees or entrepreneurs.Through the FEMIN-ICT trainings, the needs of these groups will be successfully addressed as they will learn to: • Manage their own stereotypes and pre-conceptions around gender • Foster a more inclusive working culture • Integrate the dimension of gender in all their recruitment, advancement, development, management, harassment prevention and reimbursement practices• Acquire the necessary skills to empower women who wish to participate actively in the ICT either as employees or entrepreneurs• Develop the skills of current and future Diversity & Inclusion executives and decision makers. Simultaneously, the benefited women by the project will be informed about positive actions and best practices of ICT employers, business incubators and municipalities/prefectures so that they feel empowered and better equipped to make decisions about their professional future. Also, they will have the chance to learn about positive female role models from the wider ICT sector, while the project will facilitate them in liaising with ICT employers, business incubators and municipal supporting facilities that are actively investing in equality and gender diversity within the ICT sector.<< Objectives >>The underlying idea of the project is that by training and supporting the wider ICT business ecosystem to embrace gender equality measures and offer services that respond to women needs, then more women would be able enter/remain/succeed in the ICT sector. Overall, the FEMIN-ICT project strives for fulfilling this idea of gender equality and for genuine women's visibility and empowerment in the ICT sector and digital economy, which will enable in the long-term the achievement of economic growth and wider social progress. The project’s two overarching objectives can be articulated as follows: - Fostering the equal participation, representation, and treatment of women in ICT.- Enhancing their access and employability and decreasing the recorded dropout rates. This will be mainly achieved by providing support and training to the main project target groups:A. Employers (enterprises of the ICT sector)- targeted to senior and middle management executives, legal and HR departments.B. ICT entrepreneurship support ecosystem - targeted to incubators/accelerators management teams, mentors and coaches.C. Municipalities and prefectures- targeted to relevant policy makers and recruitment committees.D. Individual women who want to either enter the ICT sector or are already involved in it.The FEMIN-ICT specific objectives are: ● To explore all relevant practices and initiatives already existing and develop new knowledge and training opportunities that will raise awareness on existing biases and preconceptions that exist and at the same time, on the benefits that when acting upon can bring not only to the ICT sector specifically but to wider economy at large. ● To develop a training programme for the project’s target group and provide them with the resources that would improve not only their knowledge but most importantly their mindset and daily practices towards alleviating gender biases in the ICT business sector.● To provide employers, business incubators and municipalities/prefectures with the methodology that will enable them to design and create effective, sustainable, and impactful childcare and eldercare workplace facilities. For achieving that, FEMIN-ICT offers a unique training and support programme, equipping, on the one hand, ICT Businesses, ICT business ecosystem and public authorities with those skills and tools, to empower women in the ICT sector and integrate the gender dimension in all their practices and, on the other hand, women who are either employed in the ICT sector, or already running ICT businesses, or even unemployed but interested in pursuing an ICT career to initiate or advance their careers in the digital economy.<< Implementation >>FEMINI-ICT has been designed to implement the following main activities during its lifespan:Result 1 (Current state of the art enabling the customization of FEMI-ICT training programme): A1: A1: Collection of data by reviewing the relevant literature, reports, project evaluations, policy documents, existing statistics etc. in the participating countries, but also around Europe; A2: there will be a needs assessment of the project’s participants and in parallel two main methods will be applied in each partner country: i) an online survey, and ii) a series of semi-structured interviews with different participants from all the target groups; A3: Implementation of the online survey and interviews targeted to the different target groups; A4: analysis of data and production of the final report.Result 2 (Training program and support package for gender equality): A1: reflection and consultation activities with the target groups that will lead to the development of the content of the training materials; A2: development of the mother and career-friendly workplace toolkit, based on literature review, international best practices and partners’ expertise; A3: development of a self-assessment toolkit; A4: Implementation of pilot training workshops with the different target groups to test the training material and make the required revisions where necessary; A5: Finetuning of the “Training program and support package for gender equality”.Result 3 (Empowerment Program and tools for Women): A1: development of role models collection, through online research and through partners’ networks for inspiring cases of women being either employees or founders of ICT businesses; A2: interviews with women acting as role models; A3: scaffold of the empowerment programme; A4: content of the 8 different empowerment modules of the empowerment programme; A5: Testing of the empowerment programme through national webinars.Result 4 (FEMIN-ICT policy roadmap): This result will include a set of policy recommendations based on the FEMIN-ICT experiences, achievements as well as on the discussions that will be help during the final conference of the project. It is strongly necessary for CCS professionals to develop entrepreneurial and digital competences defined in ENTRECOMP and DIGCOMP 2.1. to foster entrepreneurship and encourage them to become key players to modify the way creative products, cultural goods and events are created, managed, disseminated and consumed during and after Covid-19. The increasing and, almost mandatory digital shift, is leading to the need for digital skills for CCS to accelerate the digital transformation. Project CO-ART addresses entrepreneurial and digital competence development of young unemployed, self employed CCS workers and aspiring art entrepreneurs through Online Escape Rooms. Moreover, CO-ART will provide an adequate training programme to equip youth workers with these new working environments and tools and enable them to support digital and entrepreneurial competence development. CO-ART addresses the needs of 2 main target groups: 1) Young (age 18-29) unemployed and/ or self employed/ freelance CCS workers and aspiring (art) entrepreneurs who are exposed to the risk of exclusion due to the Covid-19 crisis and other social, economical or geographical obstacles. 2) Youth Workers and Trainers eager to gain non-traditional tools and knowledge to support young people in the development of entrepreneurial and digital competences. THE PROJECT’S SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES ARE TO:1:Equip and train Youth workers with non-traditional online learning tools to support the development of entrepreneurial and digital competences among young CCS workers and aspiring art entrepreneurs.2:Develop non-traditional online learning tools to empower young people, to acquire entrepreneurial and digital competences needed to encourage entrepreneurial activities of young, aspiring entrepreneurs in the CCS during and after Covid-19 crisis. 3: To establish and reinforce virtual cooperation between young culture workers and organisations at local and European levels during and after Covid-19 crisis. "<< Background >>A project on emotional intelligence, aimed at strengthening the use of socio-relational skills of youth workers in public and private organizations. In the European context, many projects are currently aimed at socio-emotional education, especially in the school environment, as a shared awareness that it is an important element of subjective well-being.The benefits of using a relational approach are well known, thanks to multiple scientific researches in the context of school teaching, but for some time a lot of attention has also been paid to complex Organizations and Institutions and the workplace. As a particular choose this project is destined to the ones working with young, disadvantaged, vulnerable, unoccupied and with socio-emotional needs young people. Those youth workers, in the ONG or not for profit Associations, will learn and acquire emotional skills as tools to cope with their targets. It addresses to 1) youth workers from private organizations engaged in working with young to make counseling and career counseling, to help them to become resilient, so to plan their future, face their work or personal problems, find solutions for their difficult choices in the long run. 2) young people, vulnerable, unemployed, neet or low skilled wanting to improve their skills starting from emotional attitude to cope with their situation. The main intellectual outputs will allow the development of operational tools, available on a large scale and usable on a number of levels, both by a large audience of youth workers and by a sample of young people as well. The model, through a comparative research, and the creation of suitable tools will find inspiration for validation and diffusion in the European panorama, with the aim of spreading the concrete practice of socio-emotional practice and to disseminate it among youth workers and young people too.Actions foreseen:- comparative research on the condition of use and knowledge in the ONGs of Emotional Intelligence in the European Context of the partners represented- creation of a preliminary investigation tool (balance of skills) with initial, ongoing and final self-assessment value- creation of tools for youth workers to acquire and use the emotional Intelligence and the basic emotional skills (resilience, empathy, self-efficacy, self-esteem, communication…)- creation of learning paths to be destined to young people in disadvantage conditions (unemployment, social disease…)- events of dissemination, promotion and comparison studies<< Objectives >>Our project intends to improve the skills of youth workers to become activators and facilitators of youth resilience, emotional intelligence and social-relational competences, with particular regard to young people at risk of social exclusion and discomfort. It is the shared opinion of this partnership that, although current literature and contemporary society often agree on the representation of youth discomfort, very little is then supported in terms of concrete actions to combat this discomfort, starting from the construction of those tools that young people need to cope with everyday life and planning for the future. For this reason, focusing on Emotional Intelligence and Resilience as a specific feature is a choice dictated by the context analysis of the four partner countries, which confirms that our young people (18-30) in conditions of hardship (work, training, personal situation) often lack the basic life skills needed to face life's challenges and situations of stress, difficulty and emergency, starting with an adequate emotional endowment. This need has been amplified by the health emergency that everyone has experienced. The project wants to test the theory and method on young people starting from the self-assessment dimension and the training tools to create skills that are professional and expendable in the professional practice of youth workers, but that are also diffused among the youth population, as a basis for building critical and active consciences. The aim of our project is to develop an intervention model to increase youth resilience through programmes based on emotional intelligence training. Other objectives to be achieved are - To improve the professional skills in the socio-emotional and relational field of the YWs of the associations of the partner countries - To influence the training programs of youth workers and the programming and intervention schemes in favour of youth, intervening however in the field of social policies through the dissemination of good practices and the comparison of different approaches, based on emotional intelligence - To create a shared European system, a model of application and testing of socio-emotional skills in the youth field.<< Implementation >>The whole project is focused on the training of competences and soft skills in the social-emotional field. Therefore, the main objectives are related to the improvement of the condition of youth workers and young people, in terms of providing them with emotional and life skills to face moments of difficulty, emergency and discomfort. The actions foreseen are all focused on the better success of the main objective, i.e. to foster not only the knowledge, but above all the application of emotional intelligence. The activities are aimed at increasing the supply of knowledge, information and above all practical skills (emotional life skills) that can ""assist"" youth workers in their work with young people.listening, empathy, understanding. This action is substantiated in the work foreseen in the second intellectual work (result 2), which will then be completed and verified through a path of experimentation of the model for YW (result 3) and short training (C1) where youth workers will be able to confront and experiment themselves in a learning process based on orientation and life coaching (C1) and propose new counselling models, intervention projects based on our model. It is therefore expected that youth workers will participate in the project through three main project outcomes and two specific training activities.<< Results >>Lyber results that will be reached through the implementation of the activities are:1 mobility training event for young people 1 short term joint staff training event, aimed at training the staff of the partnership in the use of the tools designed, and at enhancing their skills as trainers(professional) trainers 1 computer tool/platform to carry out the social-emotional skills assessment The publication of guidelines regarding the use of the social-emotional skills assessment tool. 1 literary review, conducted at the level of the European partner countries, regarding the tools used for the assessment of social-emotional competences with young people 1 analytical report on the experiences of using emotional intelligence in youth work with particular reference to the figure of the Youth worker (a ""job description"" of emotions) 1 survey report on the state of self-perception of youth resilience 1 integrated training course (theoretical and practical) with modules, video lessons, video simulations, and tool kit. This is a training model and methodological material (result n°2) used by youth workers, with a basic level that can be used on a large scale by young people 1 testing/validation of the training model in all the countries involved 1 organisational analysis guidelines concerning affective competences 1 ""long list"" Creation of an informal network of private bodies of the Third Sector, or of other subjects also public (e.g. Municipalities) that adhere to and test our training model in their respective contexts) 1 project website."
