Gutha-Jarkovskeho,Masarykova zakladni skola a materska skola Velka BystriceFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2018-1-IT02-KA229-048088Funder Contribution: 50,427 EUR"This initiative starts from early opportunities of encounters between teachers of schools working together. It involves an approximate number of 170 European students from the Czech Republic and Italy over a period of two years. The so-called YOUNG EUROPE project is aimed to increase the spirit of European citizenship and to promote the development of ""well-being"", good relations and proper lifestyles. It also will provide a set of activities developed in English for CLIL methodology and in Italian as foreign languages. In addition, it is aimed to empower students entrepreneurship, at the lower middle school level. In the project, the core activities are four international meetings: two in the Czech Republic (First and Second International Spring Meeting - SIM) and two in Fiemme Valley-Trentino (Dolomite International Meetings - DIM). These meetings will give the students the opportunity to meet peers of the same age, and share with them experience and ideas about a common discussion focus, as a conclusion of a common distance work carried out in the previous months. The issues of exploration will be shared with the participants in order to increase motivation and they will be focused on active involvement, proper lifestyles, social relationship, awareness of cultural identity. They will reinforce the understanding of the encounter with different cultures and common European citizenship. The development of the activities will promote access to ICT, which are playing an increasingly predominant role in contemporary society.“Young Europe” includes teamwork strategies and active working methods aimed at promoting a sense of accountability and self-reliance. The process is aimed at the production of tools of didactic and cultural interest (CLIL units and a ""Young Europe Guide"") which will be shared in the area where the community belongs to, and in the wider national communityThe project includes public meetings (Parties) and the creation and the publishing of a trilingual handbook written in Italian, Czech and English, addressed to young students. The handbook provides a guide to specific features of the areas where participant members come from, and a depth on citizenship and other issues of common interest. The project is a great opportunity for individual and collective growth. The involved organisations will benefit from international partnership and cooperative working focused on CLIL methodology.English will be the common language in planning all the activities, whom evidence will be documented by format shared with Universities or research institutes. The lingua franca will facilitate the dissemination within the professional community and among the involved schools.Evidence of the project will be shown at the national school meeting called “Festival delle Lingue” and lead in Rovereto (TN).Participating teachers will share templates and working tools during meetings or by distance communication moments (ICT).In Prague and in Cavalese, university professors or experts of international certified training centres will provide professional growth to teachers, thanks to common training in CLIL and follow up activities. The project is also qualified by an inclusive perspective which allows the overcoming of linguistic barriers and difficulties and promotes peer interaction and knowledge of European cultural realities."

A large percentage of the students´ families had a low income or were on the dole. As a consequence, the interest in events of daily life (on a national, European or global level) and their environment declined. This resulted simultaneously in a certain “lack of drive” and demotivation. This situation often led to gradual dissolution of the everyday family life. This involved communication deficits, isolation of our children and inappropriate behaviour or attitudes, especially towards different nationalities and refugees. Through our project we wanted to motivate students and parents to develop or regain a positive attitude towards life. To create a guidebook for kids, we needed to take a look at the interests of our children and young people. It was necessary to take the accessibility and financial aspects into account to reach the concerned classes. This was how the implementation of the project is stimulated. The excursion destinations were chosen and tested by students and parents. The proven ones is filtered and embedded in a Power Point Presentation as well as a brochure is accessible to those who were interested. Beside the creation of a guidebook for kids there were special smaller projects. Here, the students dealed with national characteristics, culinary specialities, religions, specific landscapes and sights as well as ordinary traditions. We wanted to use all events to communicate, inform and help those who were in need. We wanted to counteract the influence and radical ideas of right-wing extremist groups. According to their age, the students presented results via posters, Power Point, smaller models or creative craft work. Thus, their work were accessible to interested persons in school or supporting public institutions. Working on the project was motivation for our students to deepen their way of dealing with information- and communication technology. The planning, implementation, evaluation and presentation of our project were mostly carried out by the students themselves. Teachers and parents had only a supporting role. Activities, results and special events were made available to the public via press, flyers, internet or regional exhibitions. With our project we wanted to lay the foundation for a positive spirit of community. Families were shown possibilities to find a way out of their current situation and to live an active life full of perspectives. This was the basis for a promising personal development of our children and adolescents. Furthermore, we wanted to encourage the participants to development transnational interests. This included dealing with special characteristics of different nationalities, overcome prejudices and xenophobia, understand the necessity of integration of people in need and to shaped their lives consciously and full of different perspectives.

In modern times, learning and work are losing value. People often take other people's solutions. They lost the motivation to research, create their own products and services. With modern economics and globalization, the young generation is forced to spend more money on their daily lives, and it is difficult for people to control themselves in an environment that promotes lavish living. Everything we learn in childhood will last forever. That is why we have taught children good habits in the project, developing a positive attitude towards work, creation, learning, responsibility and saving. Financial discipline and independence are one of the most important lessons parents of this generation must teach their children. Kids learn by example. If you teach them something, you have to follow suit. It's not just finances, they think that parents and teachers should be an example in all other things. So, our project involves educations and workshops for parents, teachers and students. Understanding the flow of ""money in / money"" is a basic life skill that should start as early as possible in life. Early learning of financial literacy can significantly affect the future of young people as adults, when the ability to budget, save, spend and raise money determines one's financial health and well-being. It is no exaggeration to say that today there is more encouragement - and opportunity - for young people to spend money than ever before. They face the promotion and advertising of the brand on all fronts - websites and blogs as well as traditional channels such as TV, radio and newspapers. With that said, the rise of reality TV shows and the increased focus on celebrities and what they wear. Entrepreneurship and financial literacy education is a process that must begin in childhood. Knowledge of personal finance and money management gained during this period plays an important role in defining a person's quality of life, happiness and well-being. Accordingly, the goal is to help children internalize terms such as money, earning and spending money, investing, risking, starting entrepreneurship, and preparing the substructure for the future with education to reflect these concepts in their daily lives. Early childhood and elementary school is the period in which learning is fastest and stimulating can be actively addressed. So this project is aimed at supporting and improving their personal and social development, creativity, confidence, math and digital skills, logic and problem solving skills. Our goals- Encourage students and teachers to take an active approach to developing entrepreneurial spirit and acquiring entrepreneurial competences-prepare teachers for introducing new working methods and teaching suitable for acquiring entrepreneurial, financial and digital skills, attitudes and competences- introduction of systematic education for entrepreneurship and financial literacy into the education system- Encourage parents to actively collaborate with schools to plan and fully influence their childrenTopics around which we organized project activitiesWhat are the financial institutions? What services do they offer customers? What is money? How has this evolved throughout history? History of National MoneyMoney in the digital age: e-coins, transaction securityWhat is savings? How and why to save?Rational and responsible use of all available resources (money, clothing, food, energy, school supplies)What is entrepreneurship? How we can develop entrepreneurship in educational institutions for children and young peopleIdeas development and production of own products / servicesWhat is a business plan? How to develop a good business plan? What is cash flow? Learn to track the cash flow from idea development to product / service placement to end usersWhat is branding? How to develop and protect your brand? The importance of protecting intellectual propertyMarketing your own products / services (logo, internet advertising)Public events (exhibitions, performances, fairs in schools and local communities)Volunteering and donatingICT as a tool for learning, collaboration, creativity and innovationThe motivation and interest of all participants in the project (students, teachers and parents) was compounded by the fact that this is an international project involving six different schools with similar and same problems. We want to give every student an education for a better and more secure future. To every student, regardless of the family he comes from, the difficulties he or she struggles with on a daily basis, diversity. We are all active participants in our common European future. We all have the potential to contribute to the European family. Through this project, we were all motivated to develop our own potentials and to acquire skills for the future and well-being of the whole of Europe."

Our schools have different characters and numbers of pupils (some are in the villages, some in the big towns). And this fact is great challenge for our cooperation on project materials. The project tasks will be included into school curriculums in many subjects: English, Art, Physical Education, Games, Literature, Music, Crafts, Information Technology, native language, History, Civics. By means of this we will implement a cross curricular approach. Our aim is to learn about national heroes of partner countries using digital media and technologies. We want the children to research and share traditional stories, legends and information from their history or today lives and cultures. Children will explore the moral themes and citizenship from the stories of their heroes. The children will explore these following main areas and work together on topics of interest with these results:1. Hero of national fairy tale Results: puppets, pictures, descriptions2. Hero of national legend Results: comics, books, film3. Hero of national history Results: posters / banners, PowerPoint presentation4. Hero of our time Results: PowerPoint presentation, recordings, videos, posters The project work will concentrate on pupils of the age from 7 to 13 years. We want the children to create and perform some stories, make banners, PowerPoint presentations or other digital materials with obtained information. We intend to share products that can be used at all partner schools such as stories, PowerPoint presentations, digital materials, recordings of performances. The smartboards will be used to show presentations or how products are being created and they will show results of pupils' work. The children will use English as a main language of communication in the project to add simple commentary in English. They can develop not only their language skills. Inter-cultural relationships and the improvement of ICT skills are the basic of the project. The pupils will get e-mail from friends of other partner countries to be able to develop friendships and learn about different culture, traditions and history. All the heroes of other countries can lead to better understanding. They will help to fight against rasism and xenofobia . It is a perfect way to develop English language, ICT skills and knowledge of all our positions within a European society. It will strengthen responsible behaviour towards themselves and the other people in Europe. Impact of our project work will not be only on involved pupils and their parents´ community, but also on local and regional public and other regional schools as well. New technologies enable us to make links to many subjects and increase the motivation for involved children and teachers.Nowadays when children are influenced by many new technologies - especially TV, computers - internet, mobiles, etc., they often spend most of their time in front of screens. We would like to change their passive life styles into active spending free time - for example: sport heroes and sense of fair play in real life. We believe sharing traditions and values can be a way to use the influence of modern day technology which is enabling children to understand that the world spans further than a computer screen. Children will also have the opportunity to relate to characters such as heroes, we will discuss how this links can lead to better understanding of citizenship and how a person can play an active role in being a European citizen. The dissemination of project products, results and activities (seminar for teachers from region about Erasmus+, booklet with Erasmus+ information, bookmarks, bussiness cards, ...) will be not only at school level, but also at local or regional level, too. It will help to strenghten the positions of partners´ schools in their regions. Free access to oficial project websites and final digital materials will ensure project dissemination at all levels and all the created materials can be used in teaching by each primary school which could be interested.
