The project answers the questions/challenges raised by the European Commission, which addressed young people on 9 May 2018 with the European campaign #EUandME. The campaign highlighted the benefits that the EU offers to young people on the entrepreneurial path.IDEA[Dare to dream/believe in yourself/anything is possible] - phrases used by parents/teachers/educators/other instances to young and unexperienced people. But dreams and faith in yourself are not enough - you need to know your identity (who I am/what I want/what talents do I have/who I am not /what I don't want/what could be may dream job) and on the other hand you need to develop some communication/social skills to find the right direction and become independent. Young people have a lot of (very) good ideas/innovative solutions, but they do not have personal competencies for their realization.Based on a internal analysis and our experience, we perceived the need for innovative tool and an extensive accompanying publication that could represent quality material for youth work, which could encourage innovative ideas, strengthen motivation and enable a sovereign entry into the business/entrepreneurial terrain in the EU. At the same time, we expect that this same material will also strengthen the competencies of youth/counseling/pedagogical/support workers in the field of innovative thinking and personal growth and enable their successful transfer into practice. Therefore, in the framework of partnership with org. from Macedonia, Romania and Estonia, based on the exchange of experiences and examples of good practice, we strive to create intellectual results (IR01 and IR02), launched in e-form and written in 8 languages (Slovenian, English, Romanian, Hungarian, Macedonian, Serbian, Estonian, Russian), which ensures easier accessibility and mass dissemination of results. TARGET GROUP- youth workers who develop and implement youth education programs and who will help to create innovative tool.- young people, between 14 and 29 years old, participants in 3 pilot performances: training of innovative ideas, personal empowerment and sovereign appearance on the EU market.TARGET ORIENTATION1. Establish a strategic partnership between the partners, enable the exchange of various conceptual and experiential practices, increase the quality of work.2. Draw attention to the constant personal growth and its impact on the achievement of short-term/long-term personal and business goals.3. Promote entrepreneurship and innovation of young people.4. Strengthen the competencies of youth/counseling/pedagogical/support workers in the field of innovative thinking and personal growth, transferring them into practice.5. Create an innovative tool for empowering the target group, equip it with the necessary knowledge to implement ideas and a more sovereign market presence.6. Disseminate results among other related org. at local/national/EU level.7. Successfully integrate personal growth into the educational process of young people. We intend to focus on the development of IR 01 and 02, which brings the realization of the basic idea. In the broadest sense (by promoting social inclusion through educational processes) we are committed to equality/justice/solidarity, helping the individual to actively integrate into the social environment, maintain their own identity and make the most of their talents.(IR 01) TOOL: #startMEup comprises 3 modules, their hybrid represents the main part of innovation and optimal efficiency:• I CREATE (how to get creative ideas: lateral thinking, out of the box),• I CAN (how to be motivated to make them happen: self-awareness),• I START (how to present them to the EU market: social and communication skills).(IR 02) E-PUBLICATION with theoretical-practical steps and instructions for users will enable the implementation of comprehensive/effective non-formal education, based on modern EU trends and will cover all essential international elements that lead to improving the quality of individual appears on the labor market and actively exploits their own talents and creative-innovative ideas. As such, it will also become the basic material for implementation within other activities/industries/sectors.THE FINAL FINISH OF THE PROJECT- a multiplicative event called START UP YOUR DREAMS: EU IS YOUR STAGE, organised in Slovenia: ee will discuss all the highlighted topics, both intelectual results IR 01 and IR 02) and represent the video (for the purpose of informing and disseminating the results).Innovation is achieved through a holistic approach (a hybrid is included in all three modules) that “breathes life into ideas”. Everyone who will experience the path of 3 modules will become more innovative/self-confident/sovereign. Every individual will spread this vibration in his/hers environment, the acquired experience/knowledge will be transferred to co-workers and participants, service users and to the wider local, national environment.

Music Talks develops social skills and facilitates inclusion through meaningful discussions about music. The project promotes awareness of social issues and uses music as a tool for engaging the youth into active citizenship. The project includes an international study on music appreciation skills among people aged 15-25 linked to their views on socially important topics and describing readiness to take part into building the future society. The second part of the project is developing an innovative learning tool for youth workers, teachers and the youth to be able to facilitate the discussion both in non-formal and formal setting. Some of the engaging factors of the project lie in the use of music loved by youth all around the world, tearing down social and economical barriers and creating a common language for everyone. At the same time, it is important to integrate national and classical music that the target audience, especially NEET representatives, are yet to love and discover, in order to develop appreciation of diverse cultural heritage. It is important to develop our communication skills and the ability to appreciate, integrate and include representatives of different cultures. The ability to appreciate the aesthetic aspects of culture, including music, is proven to raise the well-being of the society. The project provides methodic materials to link the individual cultural experience to that of a group, exchanging viewpoints and growing awareness of being able to influence the processes of the society.Song lyrics, different music genres, diverse cultural influences lead to topics as empathy, social inclusion, active citizenship, equality, personal freedom, justice, fairness and mutual social interaction. The activities of the project include:1) Involving at least 500 participants that are direct beneficiaries of the project, including youth workers and the youth;2) Carrying out a study in each of the partner countries with at least 300 respondents;3) Collecting and sharing examples of good practice in each partner country to incorporate the best elements of music education practices in the development of the learning methods;4) Creating an innovative NFI material that will consist of 10 methods to improve the communication, critical thinking and perception skills of young people and to promote active citizenship through the creative approach of discussing music;5) Testing the 10 methods in online and face-to-face focus groups with at least 25 participants with diverse backgrounds in each partner country;6) Preparing “Music Talks” learning material that will include a summary of the research and description of the methods;7) Preparing a series of video that will include information on the use of methods, advantages and the main benefits;8) Developing recommendations for transfering the learning material to the digital environment;9) Carrying out publicity and dissemination activities for project results, involving popular musicians as ambassadors;10) Implementing, managing, monitoring and evaluating the project. The project partners are: Baltic Regional Fund (NGO, Latvia), Info front - Pilep (NGO, Macedonia), Tava mūzikas skola (music school and platform for innovative music research, Latvia) and Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (Norway) with background on music education and youth work, joining their missions to develop an innovative approach that will boost social skills and facilitate inclusion through meaningful discussions about music. To address the growing demand for innovative practices in the digital era, recommendations for transferring project's content and practices to the digital environment will be developed.

These tools and techniques can be used for facilitating different stages of online workshops: warm-up, team building, main creative part, closure, debriefing and evaluation. The MOOC will contain a course targeted to the youth workers with practical step-by-step guidelines on how to facilitate online workshops based on digital storytelling and digital creative text writing. This course will also contain practical tips and tricks for facilitation, ways of adapting the techniques etc. These results will be free to use, easily accessible for every youth worker interested. The tools will be easily understandable, user-friendly and intuitive, so they can be useful for every youth worker, regardless of their experience.Impact:1. Youth workers- learn new tools and activities that can be applied online in their home countries for supporting creative young people;- have practical experience of using storytelling and creative text writing in their work for stimulating creativity;- share and get to know situations and experiences of other youth workers from all over Europe;- participants will improve their communication skills and style;- become more relaxed and confident to work with intercultural groups and facilitate online events;- get to know more about the Erasmus+ programme and project management;- create bonds with each other for further cooperation;- have a set of exercises to facilitate and foster intercultural competences development through non-formal learning.- gain practical experience from assessing oneself.2.Young people- they will be involved in new projects set up by these organisations. The final goal of this is that the youth will be able to be more creative, active and can create mutual understanding and can contribute to the building of stronger, respectful, and resilient communities. In the field of youth work, there are plenty of methods and tools on how to engage a participant in creative mood. Traditionally, they are designed to work in context of physical presence. However, nowadays, due to all Covid-19 restrictions, there is a need of developing new ones that will function online, and finding new ways how to transform them in a digital way. We want to design new digital methodologies and tools to increase creativity of young people, and to help the youth workers/educators in facilitating new workshops online. We strive to develop methodologies and tools that are easy to use by the youth workers/educators in various contexts. The methodologies and tools will be based on a combination of two creative directions: creative text writing and storytelling. These methods can be used even after the end of the pandemics- for distance learning, workshops and sessions on distance etc."

The Picture your Story Strategic Partnership aims to develop new tools to connect youth with different cultural backgrounds to enable them to build strong, resilient, respectful and peaceful communities. To do so, the partners of the project will develop a combination of picture language and storytelling tools, that can be used by youth workers all over Europe. The final result of the project is a digital toolkit, containing these newly developed tools, that is freely accessible for everybody working with youth with different backgrounds in- and outside the EU. The problem of conflicts between youth with different backgrounds and the fear for the 'other', destabilizing communities and areas, is a common issue for the whole European Union. As the situation in many of the member states of the EU is quite tense, influenced by the current influx of refugees (which is only a catalyst for a fear that exists already for longer), the main subject of the project addresses all countries of the EU. Therefore, building stronger, respectful, peaceful and resilient communities is an up-to-date topic within the European Union, also because cooperative communities add more value to the (economic) development of Europe. Of course, the fact that there are conflicts in several communities all across Europe and the knowledge that solving them is beneficial, both for the happiness of all Europeans and for the economic growth of the EU, is far from new. And several programs ran and are running to prevent and solve conflicts. However, not always with a great effect and impact. Most partners came across these programs regularly and felt that they lack sustainability. And, honestly, many of these projects are incidents with good intentions that miss a profound theoretical base and/or a rooted foundation in experience. Various methods have been and are being developed to achieve this and prevent and/or to fight conflicts caused by differences. Some of them are based on the presumption that by encouraging people to meet and get to know each other peace between them can be encouraged. Although we endorse this presumption, we also notice that many programs focusing on connecting people with different background/identities do not have the desired effect, certainly not in the long run. Put in other words: they are often not sustainable. There is clearly a need for new methods and tools to connect youth with different backgrounds living together in (potentially ) conflicted communities in Europe (also according to the Need Analysis the partners made) That is why we, a partnership in the field of youth work, social work ans social research, want to develop a new and innovative methodology and toolkit based on picture language and storytelling that can be used in potential conflict areas/communities in order to foster mutual understanding, respect and acceptance amongst divers people in that area/community, to enable them to work towards a resilient, respectful, sustainable and cooperative communities We deliberately chose for the combination of storytelling and picture language because we see that these two fields are complementary and interweaving the two adds extra value. Using picture language strategies helps groups in getting insights in similarities and differences between individuals and cultural groups and in starting to share stories about it. It is a strong tool in a time in which visual communication is very important especially amongst youth (see the success of media like Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook and Pinterest). We use their language to invite them to meet 'the other', to start listening to the story of the other and to start to create mutual understanding. However, the use of picture language has its limitations. To create empathy and by that mutual understanding and respect, an extra step is necessary. That is why we want to combine picture language with storytelling tools. Storytelling tools help to guide this sharing and to get it into a direction that it fosters mutual understanding and respect. In this process, encouraging empathy towards the other through stories is the main focus. Research, like the Do the Right Thing research by Movisie, show us that the impact on the long run of interventions stimulating empathy a is way bigger than of many other activities. Previous projects of the partners of the project give us the experience that working with (personal) stories is one of the strongest tools in creating this empathy.
