Nowadays we observe an increasing of immigration cases , and countries like Turkey, Romania and Macedonia are making efforts to adapt to this phenomenon, by applying different programs or taking specific initiatives . PT and LT are some other countries being also in the frame of the issue as members of the European Union. We chose this topic as a priority for our schools and for our project, because we realized how important it is to our students to become aware of the stereotypes and discrimination, increasing the chances to change and for people to live in harmony together. Objectives We want to reach the following objectives: to combat hate speech and hate behavior inside schools; - to increase social awareness, tolerance, empathy for the immigrants and the refugees - to reduce stereotypes and raise awareness about the risks they may cause - to improve the knowledge related to tackling the issues of stereotyping and discrimination (bullying) inside each school - to promote the active involvement of the students in the social life on the topic of stereotyping and discrimination - to develop a strong relationship between schools and local NGOs who are addressing the same topics We intend to obtain a big impact on the participants such as : - a better awareness of the phenomenon of stereotyping and discrimination, bullying at local and European levels - an increased involvement of the students in the community life - increased spirit of tolerance between students, more respect for each other - eliminated the prejudice from their way of thinking - improved cultural and intercultural awareness - more autonomous individuals - improved communication skills, language level, social skills - improved their analytical and problem-solving abilities - increased their self-confidence Participants The project addresses a target group of 360 students of different specialisations in our school, boys and girls, 13-18 years old. They had some similiar and varying problems, in the educational systems. Depending on the results of evaluations, it was realized that a majority of young students felt themselves socially excluded and discriminated because of their family backgrounds, physical appearances, learning difficulties, financial problems, different customs. As a result, these young students lost their self-confidence, motivation for learning and creativity. Our aim was to make these disadvantaged students active by giving responsibilities; in cooperation with the peers from different cultures, via team works. Through these activities; we built up friendships and prevented early school leaving( one of the objectives of Europe 2020 Educational Strategies), social exclusion. We also decreased the difficulties in foreign language learning by using innovative methods and materials. One of our goals was improving ICT skills. Teachers acquired new teaching methods and skills to overcome the project problems met at the partner schools. We raised awareness and took attention to violence against women; intolerance and discrimination against minorities and disadvantaged groups (disableds, socially excluded); prejudices for various cultures. 130 students and 30 teachers actively took part at the project works. There were Roma minorities, from Turkey, Romania, Portugal and Poland, with whom we met. The women under violence (from Turkey), mainstreaming students with special needs, physically disabled students and a teacher, the members of the 'Chorus of Civilizations' ( from Antioch) also attended the project activities. 2 Turkish students, whose parents were imprisoned because of drug-addiction, attended the project works. Our project activities were parallel to a detailed action plan prepared by the coordinator. Task of the partners was uploaded to the project web-site, chronogically. They consisted of preparation of promotional materials, meetings; organization of presentations, conferences, skype conversations, international meetings, informative meetings with authorities, trips for taking photos, ""Language of the Photos"" week, ""The School of Dreams"" day, photography and English courses, psychological support, visits to families, visits to minorities, visit to a Women Association (KADER / MOR ÇATI), exhibitions. We used a series of methods at the implementation of the activities: Cooperative learning technique, think-pair-share, brainstorming, problem solving method, metaplan, lecture, simulation, exposing method, demonstration, debate (for decision- making), communicative approach, educational games, do it, case method in practice (students' decision- making), role-play, random input (for generating fresh ideas or new perspectives). Our activities were in the ways of pre-planned educational visits, internationally, ""Language of the Photos"" week, exhibitions, presentations, conferences. By attending these activities; students gained positive behavior modification, teachers acquired innovative methods. There was a wind of change at the partner schools. We desired to raise awareness and took the attention of local, regional representatives and educational authorities to the project issues, by inviting them to these activities. The parents and the other schools took the advantages of the results. The materials developed during the project were made available for those interested in the project topic; other schools, organizations, associations. Moreover; there were workshops at which the usage of created materials were taught to the neighbour schools' students, teachers and educational representatives. We were in communication with local and international representatives of the organizations. Besides; we contributed in the means of experience to the other schools through e-twinning portal. ""Language of the Photos"" day will continue in the following years, as a 'school custom'. School Family Associations, school budget or sponsors will finance them. Producing school magazine and the activities of the Photography Club will go on. The products will be available at the facebook page and delivered to the educational authorities. As a result, we will provide our project's sustainability and continuity of target solutions to the problems. The community that are aware of the importance of ' the language of the photos' at solving the problems met at educational systems will go on their workshops."

School life covers the most important part of a human's life .Although education starts in family, our future gets its shape mostly parallel with the education we have at school. The problems we face in life , even sometimes they may occur out of our control, mostly affect our education life.Even some of us can be born with some kind of flaws or disabilities, maybe one of our leg , a finger , an arm or number of our cromosome can be absent . Our flaws maybe physical or they may occur while your life normally going on because of some traumatic events which we have experienced such as death of mother or father, divorce of parents , having to change the city,or country he/she lives with unfortunate results of tragic events. The first objective of this project is to minimize the effects of these born or later occured flaws, this can firstly be achieved with changing of the perspective , methodology , approach while educating them and our parents' , teachers 'and our society's understanding. The second objective is to create awareness and share our experiences and practises which we have used in national and international platform. The third objective , which is a result of the first and second objectives of this project , is to have all our students learn in a more peaceful atmosphere which is suitable for efficient learning and which will help them grow up as responsible , respectful and tolerant adults and European citizens. We aim to capture the energies that will trigger the dynamics with this project and create positive contributions not only to our students with disadvantages but also to the lives of all school stakeholders. Our project objectives also overlap with a lot of objectives of the European Union's 2020 Strategic Plan. This project is coordinated by Turkish school whose 22 % of students are composed of poor advantageous students. As the coordinator of project we will manage the project with a planned , scheduled , testing monitoring methods in a flexible , tolerant and fair way. The participants of this project will be teachers from different branches and curriculums who have the necessary qualifications for being a participant in this project and all disadvantageous students of five partner schools. The activities which will be performed in this project will cover all kinds of students who have poor opportunity and they will be done in groups to raise the feeling of inclusion in a group . They will make the students feel more self confident , resposible , social , positive , tolerant and outgoing. With the group activities of the project , we aim to learn the way of solutions in different countries and schools which we face the same problems while teaching our students. We believe that if we join under the concensus of ideas, we can get better results which can lead us to reach more people and make our studies more effective. All the partners will contribute to the common tasks that we have defined together , according to their students' abilities and to their own possibilities. The expected results creating a more relaxed and tolerant learning atmosphere in and outside our schools, developing a common sense of European citizenship, improving teachers ability and strengthening the profiles of the teaching profession, getting a better knowledge of our partners' cultures and traditions. Our project's motto is ""UNION MAKES STRENGTH """
