    "<< Objectives >>Activate Youth aims to reduce discrimination of LGBTQIA+ people by creating involvement about, for, and with the LGBTQIA+ youth and allies to increase their active participation in society. We will develop a methodology “activism through non-formal learning”, meaning work together and closely with the partners' consortium, the target groups, the associated partners, and networks on how they can use non-formal learning as a tool for sustainable activism and inclusion.<< Implementation >>The activities of the project include - a research phase with focus groups with the youngsters, 4 Transnational Meetings, Training Course, 3 Youth Exchanges, 4 Study Visits, 8 multiplier events, production of 3 main outputs. Each learning activity is shaped around the project objectives and one activity complements the other making each activity more and more complete.<< Results >>There are going to be produced 3 main intellectual outputs: an online platform that includes network possibility for NGOs and young activists, a Book that includes holistically the developed ""Activism through non-formal learning"" methodology, and videos - a documentary film about the method and project and a DIY videos with the work-forms of the methodology. Activate Youth will succeed in increasing the quality of LGBTQIA+ non-formal education in Europe in its different contexts."

    "From June 2019 to June 2021 The “Not Alone in Europe” project pursues the double aim of educating and training youth workers who are meeting young LGBTQ+ migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. Initially, “Not Alone in Europe” will offer a train-the-trainer course for youth workers meeting young LGBTQ+ migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in order to make them more confident with intersectional approaches in their work and how to include LGBTQ+ perspectives in their work. The aim of the train-the-trainer course is to enable the participants to implement the “Not alone in Europe” workshops in their own cities. This will ultimately result in the creation of a network for support and visibility for young LGBTQ+migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. In order to further disseminate the educational tools, a supporting online platform will be established.Objectives 1. To empower, engage, inspire and support young LGBTQI+ migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in European countries. 2. To develop training competencies and support youth workers, educators, community mediators and social workers who are meeting young migrants, refugees and asylum seekers on how to better include intersectionality and LGBTQI+ perspectives in their activities.3. To generate synergies for networking and cooperation strategies among youth organisations working with young refugees, migrants and asylum seekers in Europe.4. To create innovative youth work and intersectional methodological tools that can be disseminated to associated partners and other organisations in order to share the outputs and experiences of the project.Target groups1. Youth workers, educators, community mediators, ​and social workers in Europe who are working with young migrants, refugees and asylum seekers and want to become ""Not alone in Europe"" workshop leaders.2. Young LGBTQI+ migrants, refugees and asylum seekers (YLMRA) in Europe. Expected results 1. Thirty-four practitioners and YLMRA have developed training competencies in the Capacity Building (train-the-trainer course) as a certified multiplier of the ""Not Alone in Europe"" workshop. 2. Fourteen Multiplier events taking place in each partner country and 140 YLMRA reached by ""Not Alone in Europe Workshop"".3. Intellectual Output on Intersectionality in youth work produced and​ ready to disseminate to the rest of the multiplier network and others.4. Synergies for networking and cooperation strategy among the youth organisations working with young refugees, migrants and asylum seekers in Europe.ActivitiesPreparation1) ""Not Alone in Europe"" workshop for LGBTQI+ youth, train-the-trainer course for multipliers and create online tools for sharing documents and ongoing communication and follow-up webinars. Training activity2 ) Arrange disseminate ​train-the-trainer course. The venue​for the training course will be provided by RFSL Ungdom as co-founders​ of the project. Multiplier events3 ) The trainers from the partner organisations are carrying out the “Not alone in Europe” workshops in their cities, two workshops per organisation/country. The first workshop will be arranged by the whole coordinator group in one of the countries. Training activity4 ) Innovation development training activity with exchange and evaluation of practices, and develop the Intellectual output with partners.Methodology and Methods:The course will take a Non-Formal education methodology, working methods will be varied and interactive in order to ensure a balance between theory and practice.     With the Strategic Partnership “Boys don’t cry…? Mainstreaming gender in youth work”, the promoters wanted to develop and transfer educational tools and organisational practices to de-construct gender roles and stereotypes in youth work.The project developed co-operation, fostered new ideas and exchanged best practices among organisations in order to transversally address gender mainstreaming in youth work around Europe.The results of the project underline the transversality of gender mainstreaming, addressing the way how femininities and masculinities are constructed and how it affects society in general and youth work in particular. That’s why this strategic partnership results were specially addressed to youth workers, trainers and educators, to develop learning tools aiming at mainstreaming gender in youth work through Human Rights Education and Non-Formal Education methodologies.This mid-term Strategic partnership supported by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission was promoted by a consortium of the following European organisations:TrajectoryaMTÜ Trajectorya (Estonia) — Project coordinator, Comitato Provinciale Arcigay Il Cassero (Italy), the Association of Human Rights Educators - AHEAD (Catalonia), the National Institute for Social Integration (Lithuania), the Intercultural Institute of Timisoara (Romania), the Renaisance Institute (Turkey) and Be International (Czech Republic)The specific objectives set for the strategic partnership were:To explore how gender roles are constructed and “normality” established for masculinities and femininities in diverse communities around Europe;To introduce non formal education and Human Rights Education methodologies and to implement approaches and activities that support the role of youth work in this area;To contribute actively to de-construct sexist attitudes through capacity building, exchange of best practices, testing youth work tools, and create methods that challenge predetermined gender roles and inequalities;To foster cooperation and exchange of best practices, raise awareness and develop competences in key concepts for mainstreaming gender in youth work encouraging the cooperation between organisations directly working with young people with fewer opportunities;To develop ideas for incorporating gender perspectives in youth work and at community level, and to introduce and promote the qualitative development of the activities for young people in frames of Erasmus+ programme.To disseminate the results of the project by providing open access to educational materials, creating guidelines for organisational management and to strengthen the strategic cooperation between youth organisations, CSO, educational systems and local authorities. The strategic partnership was implemented through several phases, which included learning mobilities for youth workers from partner countries, and the creation of educational materials as a long term project result.Phase 1: Preparation and Co-ordination meeting of all partners representativesPhase 2: Creation of the Intellectual outputsPhase 3: Learning Activity Mainstreaming genderPhase 4: Dissemination meetingPhase 5: Follow up activitiesThrough the project implementation, the consortium of this strategic partnership achieved the following results 1) Intellectual outputs, training tools and modulesThe main result was to develop specific methodological training tools, innovative practices and guidelines for incorporating gender perspectives in youth work and at community level.The second result was to create a website and make use of ICT and open learning resources to disseminate these intellectual outputs by providing free access to educational materials, creating guidelines for organisational management.2) Educational activitiy:The result was to bring added value to the European citizenship construction through promoting gender equality, and to contribute actively to de-construct sexist attitudes through capacity building, exchange of best practices, testing youth work tools, and create methods that challenge predetermined gender roles and inequalities; 3) Another result was to build upon the strategic partnership, fostering co-operation and exchange of best practices, raise awareness and develop competences in key concepts for mainstreaming gender in youth work encouraging the cooperation between organisations and institutions working with young people.
