ICT4NGO is not limited only to NGO staff but is open for all kinds of adult learners who work or are stakeholders of social sector (including: informal activists, local animators, local leaders, social educators, CSR officers and etc). Taking into account relative lower earnings of people engaged in social sector, ICT4NGO based on open source materials provides a virtual learning path enabling for each social sector stakeholder to improve her/his digital competencies using open source materials which are recommended according to their diagnosed skills.Following policy recommendation, key product of our project is self-assessment portal (O3 and 04) with online recommendation and ICT mentoring tool (O4) which diagnoses, gives feedback and guides the social sector activists through their digital skills development. Portal will provide explanation of various path of digital skills development and assess current state of knowledge for particular adult learner. Except diagnose and recommendation, it will also consist of motivational functions and possibility to track the development of current situation. The ICT4NGO training programme (O5 & O6) will be held by selected trainers who will operate under the supervision of high qualified staff (researchers, expert professionals). The learning units will be designed in order to be assembled and packaged in a suitable and personalized way. The entire training program will be supported by an evaluation system that will ensure the objectives achievement. Thus, the novelty of ICT4NGO project is threefold. On the one hand it is based on a lifelong training programme for adults, designed, developed and experimented by researchers and expert professionals. On the another hand, it will adopt an innovative training approach, based on an experimental form of collaborative learning and distance learning. Finally, it will also provide first digital skills self-assessment and recommendation-guidance portal for NGOs in the European Union which will enormously contribute to the professionalization of the social sector.Partners1. During 24 months, participating organizations developed their knowledge in the field of digital adult education and training through 4 transnational meetings of 2-3 days each. Topics relevant for NGOs launching their digital transformation, best practices on how to launch online courses, viable face-to-face and online training business models for the social sector, ... : here is a glimpse of discussions that were held among participants. “I felt inspired by the meetings and everything going on in the different countries” says partner from Bosnia Herzegovina; “We were able to share experience and real cases […] it allowed us to see the work more comprehensively” adds partner from Ukraine. DLNGO project was a great opportunity for training professionals to share their experience, learn from their peer but also for newcomers in the field of adult education to gain confidence and knowledge. Cross-learning experiences convinced participating organizations to develop new contents on digital transformation topics and formats. And certainly convince participating organizations to go further : create more synergies between partners, and maybe submit new applications for Erasmus + funding to work on developing new courses and digital transformation processes."

The general objective of the project is the exchange of best practices, integrating the experience of partners engaged in different topics related to digital literacy and digital transformation of the social sector - focusing on methodologies, conditions, content, new approaches etc. Three transnational meetings will be organized (Kiev, Warsaw, and Budapest) to gather 22 participants from 11 different countries to discuss various topics and explore and further develop the digital transformation framework for the social sector. The project will contribute to the efforts of providing individuals (educators, youth workers, educational leaders, and support staff) with life-long professional learning opportunities around digital literacy. This project is an expansion of the DLNGO Erasmus+ KA2 project. Known as the ‘social economy’ or ""NGO"", this large group includes cooperatives, mutual societies, non-profit associations, foundations and social enterprises. They operate a very broad number of activities, provide a wide range of products and services across the European single market and generate millions of jobs. These social economy enterprises or ""NGOs"", contribute to the EU’s employment, social cohesion, regional and rural development, environmental protection, consumer protection, agricultural, third countries development, and social security policies. However this group and its workers are often the ones that have little resources to invest in digital skills or new technologies. That is why we will work together to explore ways of creating more resources, support services, education, to close the digital gap between the social non-profit sector and the commerical for-profit sector. We chose the project partners on the basis of their engagement and expertise in digital literacy, digital transformation, ability to reach disadvantaged communities, and of course, their keen interest in the project. They also have strong working relationships with one another as members of the TechSoup Europe network (www.techsoupeurope.org). All members share a common vision and mission — to strengthen the local communities and non-profits they reach with technology, know-how, and access to peers, experts, volunteers, grants, and other resources. This network also is made up of foundational, visionary leaders in the European non-profit sector who share a mission to wisely steward shared resources and make it easier for civil sector stakeholders to connect and have collective impact, growing in the process. The 11 partners who will partake in this project are: Les Ateliers du Bocage (France), the Fundraising Verband Austria (Austria), Fundacja TechSoup (Poland), Asociacion TS Spain (Spain), Mozaik Foundation (Bosnia and Herzegovina), SocialTechno (Italy), GURT (Ukraine), NIOK (Hungary), WCIF (Bulgaria), MISSS (Slovenia), and Haus des Stiftens (Germany). The main result that we expect from the project is that it will contribute to the development and enhancement of the digital literacy and digital transformation programmes of each of the project partners in their respective regions, which serves a vast network of NGOs (400 000+) across Europe. We expect to learn from each others’ experiences, successes, challenges, identify synergies, come up with effective ways to continue working together through the exchange of ideas, practices, experiences, and methodologies among partners. We hope to see the following long-term benefits: Improving the digital skills of adult learners in the social sector to narrow the digital literacy gap, increasing the adoption of new technologies by the third sector, and stimulating NGOs towards digital transformation."
