Project main goal was to exchange practices to enhance social inclusion of socially excluded youth and young adults. The project did this by promoting empowerment through peer-tutor training for Swedish young people and leadership-training for Finnish young adult who are suffering from mental health problems. Project started in February 2018 and ended in January 2019.Youth work is more developed in Sweden where as low threshold mental health work is more developed in Finland. The project contributed to mutual learning and sharing of good practice and knowledge between the partner organizations, but also plan long-term implementation of it in each organization. Also cooperation between organizations working in the field of youth development - and mental health services is inadequate. The Sosped Foundation Culture house- concept, where mentally challenged people are being trained to become functional peers, doesn't exist outside of Finland. Fryshuset instead has a several years experience of training hundreds and hundreds of youth and other target groups with their value -based leadership program.Through exchange of expertise and good practice the project aimed to empower youth by training them to become peer tutors and empower young adults by training them to become youth leaders. The project activities focused especially on youth and young adults (13-35 years) who were suffered from mental problems and social exclusion. Sosped has been working with young adults (18-35 yers) who are suffering from mental health problems whereas Fryshuset had been working with young people (13-30). If Culture houses (and other low threshold mental health services) are not able to find new ways to empower long term participants, these people might experience a relapse or/ and they become a new reason for younger participants for NOT to attend to Culture houses, because they´ll become passive or chronic. With the help of leadership skills these people would not only be able to lead themselves and others but also be able to grow in responsibility, independence and management and self management skills. Fryshuset, like many other youth houses in Sweden has had a challenge of attracting youngsters who are in the most vulnerable position. Those who are suffering from mental health problems and are socially excluded from the society. These people are often the ones who are too afraid to attend to ""normal"" activities with other youngsters. Training of Fryshuset's Särskolan's students to become peer tutors gave Fryshuset sufficient tools to reach out to an entirely new and often forgotten target group. Project activities consisted of five different meetings:1) (2/2018) A 2 days preparative transnational project meeting (2 days) in Stockholm where both learning event where planned 2) (4/2018) A 5 days learning event in Stockholm during which Sosped organized a peer tutor training to Fryshuset's 14 youngsters. Two of the trainers were Sosped's peer tutors.3) (5/2018) A 5 days learning event in Helsinki where Fryshuset trained Sosped's 12 peer tutors to become youth leaders4) (9/2018) A 2 days evaluative transnational project meeting in Helsinki5) (12/2018) A 5 days follow-up transnational project meeting in Finland during which all the trained peer tutors where met one more time. After the project Sosped got a leadership model with which it could train peer tutors to deepen their leadership skills. Fryshuset got instead peer tutor model with which they could serve the needs of youngsters who are suffering from mental health problems."

We look at this as early stage entrepreneurship and the methodology belies the name Powerhouse. The target group for the project is all young people between the ages of 13-26, but it is a goal in itself to be able to reach those of us who for different reasons would not have had the opportunity to exercise their involvement in another way. Our target groups in Norway and Sweden are not that different, but we also see that there are clear system differences and contact with decision makers, organization and funding that we can use for knowledge exchange. Our houses and activities are not randomly located in neighborhoods or suburbs of major cities where there are many different needs that are reinforced in relation to the rest of society. There is a larger proportion of families in low-income, a higher proportion of juvenile delinquents, more who fall outside for various reasons and a lower level of education. The two needs that form the basis of this project are to give young people faith in themselves as important citizens and challenges associated with getting their first job. Several young people feel that they are neither seen nor heard and that their opinions are not important. They lack confidence in the ""system"" and little faith in their own future. The latter is also promoted as having experienced barriers to entering the job market. Here we want to show opportunities and provide support.Through the Powerhouse methodology, we will meet youth for guidance 1: 1. Meeting the individual as a whole person and having time to listen to what they are passionate about, what they are in now and what they are engaged in. Powerhouse provides the opportunity for knowledge, experience and practices that help to give good first lines on the CV and references on skills and efforts, or the opportunity to realize their own ideas in youth-driven projects. The following activities are central to the project:1. Guidance/mentoring is the most important and central activity of the Powerhouse. Here, staff and supervisors meet young people closely and build a relationship that provides a foundation to support the young person with the realization of their dreams and ideas. To ensure good and systematic guidance, we will develop mentors, manuals and tools and regularly train mentors.2. In the process of realizing one's own ideas, there will be courses and various skills-enhancing activities through inspirational and networking collections. Our arenas will conduct both workshops, pitch competitions and themed collections related to both entrepreneurship and creative idea creation, and CV construction and job search. Future Fairs will be an important annual event for both Fryshuset and Forandringshuset. To ensure that we have good and relevant offers, we will involve the target group for needs mapping and several other professional environments to make good contributions.3. Networking is also a key part of exchanging experiences, collaborating on common ideas and projects, but also in gaining experience and practice on different skills. Forandringshuset and Fryshuset have a wide network separately and together it is large and strong. We want collections locally, nationally and Nordic. Camp Connect and LEAD are important events we highlight here.To ensure that young people feel that they are building networks, we will have regular meeting points and match mentors from their own staff and mentors from business or other community arenas around the individual youth to give the opportunity to set ambitions for further steps in life. Our goal is to increase youth self-experience and increase their faith in the future. Our methodology builds the youth itself and builds the youth network. We offer mentoring that is largely governed by the youth's own preconditions. It places great demands on good mentors and challenges us to find ways to support and help to set course / find direction from where the youth stands today and what the ambitions are. Powerhouse wants to enable the youth to continue the process on their own, without giving up completely but giving good transition.Through the project, we want to reach minimum 1000 young people, through guidance, networking and inspirational collections both locally and between the partner countries. The partnership aims to lift different arenas for learning and sharing, both for young participants, but also for employees and partners in the field who work for the same goals."

European youth work organizations must also find new concrete solutions (both proactive and reactive) to respond to the psycho-social problems of the youngsters. To answer to these challenges, Sosped Foundation, Stiftelsen Fryshuset and YEU Cyprus had a partnership to enhance social inclusion of youth suffering from psycho-social problems. These persons are often either in a risk of becoming NEET (RNEET) or are already NEETs. Project SCALE - Exchange of experiences and knowledge of contextual youth work"" aimed to develop a new kind of framework that describes youth work from a contextual perspective. Framework works also as a tool for professionals working with youth. PROJECT's CENTRAL RESULTS 1) Exchange of experience of RNEET and NEET from contextual perspectives 2) Knowledge & capacity building 2.1 RNEETs and professionals working with RNEETs learned aspects from reactive contexts and how to work there 2.2 NEETs and professionals working with NEETs learned aspects of proactive contexts and how to work there Project's main result was an innovative framework that combines the aspects of both RNEET and NEET and reactive and proactive contexts.Scale project consisted of one preparative TPM (March 2019), one short-term learning event(June 2019) and an evaluative TPM (September 2019).Learning event, that was held in Stockholm, brought together youth professionals from three different countries and a variety of youth, that are (or have been) in a risk of becoming socially excluded. SOSPED'S CULTURE HOUSES IN FINLAND Culture houses provide low-threshold activities for young adults (18-35 years) suffering from mental health problems. Most of these are NEETs and RNEET. 7 Culture houses' peer-advisorsand two staff members attended to the Learning event. Also a researcher from the university of Helsinki attended to the event and her main task was a evaluate both the project as whole and the created framework. Through attending personnel and youngsters, Sosped foundation got a simple framework that they can use on on their different Culture houses in Finland. FRYSHUSET WORK IN A PROACTIVE CONTEXT Fryshuset focuses its operations primarily on the empowerment of youth, as well as its inclusion in society by providing youth, in particular the most vulnerable and disadvantaged, with opportunities for change. Many of these are RNEETs. From Fryshuset, one trainee, a special teacher and two pupils from Fryshuset's special school attended to the learning event. Special school's teachers got a simple and easy to use tool that they found both innovative, easy to use and modifiable to their pupils's needs. YEU CYPRUS - WORKING ON BOTH REACTIVE AND PROACTIVE CONTEXTS YEU Cyprus is facing similar challenges than Fryshuset and Sosped. The organization is also working actively to integrate more and more refugees from North African countries. From YEU Cyprus, there were 8 persons attending, including one youth coordinator and 7 youth and volunteers. Concept of NEET is not known is Cyprus, so attending persons got familiar with a new concept, they got a framework that they can use to train their volunteers.DEVELOPED FRAMEWORK AND FUTURE POSSIBILITIESDeveloped manual provides a visual presentation about the developmental phases of social inclusion and exclusion. It lists also different safety factors that can hidrance social inclusion and and risk factors than can indicate or accelerate social exclusion. In the end of the framework there is also a list of questions that can be used to discuss with youth. Developed material works as as toolbox for youth professionals and youth and the main goal is to help to discuss about social exclusion and help youngsters to be more aware of their current life situation. Material can be used both individually and together with professinals. Due to great cultural differences, heterogenity of NEETs and limited time ( 4 days), framework isn't completely ready. English and Finnish versions exist already but them are first versions. Material was tested together with extern stakeholders inclusing outreach youth workers, special teachers and mental health workers and all of them agreed that material has potential. Yet, it should me developed further in order to respond better to NEETs needs, at least on national level.Material is available for organizations wanting to test it to to used in future applications."

The music industry is underrepresented by women. 2% of all music producers and songwriters internationally are women, which has negative effects on the quality and creativity in the music world. Together with partners in both industry, civil society and education, we will greatly strengthen young women and non-binaries' position in music production and contribute to a more varied, equal and creative Nordic music life.We intend to work with young girls and non-binaries aged 13-25 years as well as female and non-binary leaders / educators / role models in music production. We will focus on reaching and including young people from socio-economically weak areas in particular. A basic prerequisite is to start with the youngest. In our case, these are both children (under 18 years) and young adults (over 18 years). We intend to work with at least 800 active participants per year.During the project, we will work a lot with young employed leaders who are close to the target group. We will continuously evaluate and develop our efforts together with the target group. We see that we are at our best when we adapt the development directly according to the target group's feedback. This also means that the design of the activities may differ somewhat between different geographical, cultural and socio-economic conditions. The project is a completely new co-operation project between three Nordic parties where all three will carry out activities in their country. The lack of female music producers is equally relevant in all our countries. All three parties are selected based on the fact that they have a large network, commitment to both music and young people and the capacity to carry out larger projects. Each organization has worked with the issue of gender equality in music before the project idea began to take shape. Our goal with this project is to increase the proportion of women and non-binaries in music production and contribute to more diverse, equal and creative Nordic music.IMPACT AND RESULTSIntended Impact• More young women and non-binaries get tools and access to the opportunity to become music producers• Change the view that music production is something that only boys do• Created community and platforms for women, non-binaries and organizations where participants feel supported and have a positive context• Contribute to more diverse, equal and creative Nordic music.Project aims and results:• Increased number of educations and activities aimed at helping young women and non-binaries to become music producers by at least 50% (compared to what was present in all the partner organizations' activities at the start of the project)• Developed a toolbox for recruiting and engaging young women and non-binaries to begin with music production• Visible female and non-binary music producers through digital and analog presentations and gigs that have a total of at least 500 000 visits / views / listens• Produced impact material for the industry• Created two events with over 500 visitors per event to spread tools and methods developed during the project• Created at least three different types of networks with regular meetings and relevant contentACTIVITIESWithin the project we will:• Develop and test a toolbox to increase the recruitment of young girls and non-binaries into music production• Develop a course plan for transfer with coherent educational steps and content from interest to professional music producer• Develop and test a training material for self-empowerment that can be implemented in training activities around music production• Create digital information platforms and disseminate the project's goals, knowledge and tools• Arrange two large dissemination events• Train leaders• Start four networks• Hold digital seminars for stakeholders and participants• Arrange several activities for participants aimed at engaging more young women and non-binaries in music production
