    Discrimination against the disabled should be placed on the agenda of society and it must be enabled to society to self-question.Our students have an intense problem areas in respect of social integration as they are hearing impaired. They face to face some common problems that are specific to hearing impaired in respect of communication, self-expression, self-esteem, acceptance of their own handicap, gaining of self-identity and utilization of social opportunities equally. Our purpose is to reduce the social problems of our hearing impaired students taking into account problem areas. So, our project is “ to increase hearing impaired students’ social integration through the arts education” . When considered the reasons mentioned above, the following objectives of the project are listed:The project enables students: 1. to develop about the concept of disability and individual differences2. to gain sensitivity to accepting themselves and others3. to create awareness about distinguishing of individual differences of themselves.4. to develop the concepts in the development process of self-confidence and self-identity.5. to improve the skills to cope with stress and anger as to apply in real life.6. to gain knowledge to benefit from the cultural activities such as cinema, performing arts, plastic arts, museums.7. The project will increase the social awareness of our students at the end of the project.8. The project will encourage the students to improve the interaction skills of students about different cultures9. The project will help to eliminate the fear of people from foreigners and to let them share their ideas using sign language.10. The project will ensure tolerance of differences and European culture among hearing-impaired students 11. The project will enable to develop a sense of intercultural identity among hearing-impaired students.12. The project will motivate the students to contribute to the world of art and cultural heritage among hearing-impaired studentsParticipants: Students: Students who are at the age of between 14 and over, hearing-impaired students Parents: Parents who have hearing-impaired children at the age of between 14 and over.Teachers and personnel: Teachers and personnel working with hearing-impaired students Description of activities1. Information meeting: All the target groups in the project will be informed, about the project, the activities and the partners. 2. Presentations, and wall paper: The presentation, activities, related-texts, photographs and posters will be displayed. 3. Project executive board meetings: Project tasks will be shared. 4. Observation and survey applications: Pre-test and Post-test Measurement of students' social integration skills will be applied with surveys and observations. 5. Project web page: It will enable to share about the project among the partners and to follow-up the activities of the project. 6. Parents and teachers training seminars: It will be organized for parents and teachers to increase the awareness of parents and to get some responsibilities about social integration of their children. 7. Workshops for hearing impaired students: Social basic integration skills will be gained to hearing impaired students by specialists through creative drama or different training methods. 8. Artistic and cultural activities: Students will participate to cultural activities.9. Artistic (dance, theater, painting, ceramics, etc.) educational performance by hearing impaired: Each project partner is expected to set out a performance (dance, theater, painting, ceramics, etc..).10. Cultural Bulletin with Sign Language: The artistic and cultural bulletin of the cities will be published on web site and board of the school monthly.11. Brochure: The preparation and distribution of brochures to the art related places (museums, art galleries, cinemas , theaters etc.). 12. Handbook: “The handbook of ensuring the social integration of hearing impaired students” will be written with the partners13. Festival: Organizing international festival.Methodology: Art Training Methods and seminars.Results and Impact: Thanks to the project, students• gain communication skills and skills to initiate and develop relationships. • gain to solve problems and refrain from behavior problems, • have the awareness of individual differences and disability,• have the knowledge of concepts in the development process of self-confidence and self-identity• reduces their fear of foreigners by communicating with Different sign languages,• tolerate European Culture and differences, • develops Intercultural sense of belonging • contribute to the world of art and the protection of cultural heritage.Potential longer term benefits: Hearing impaired students will be provided for integration into society; they get the benefit of the social and cultural facilities the society has offered and, they contribute the cultural heritage contributes.

    Project Goal: Supporting homeschooling students with disabilities between 6-10 ages through researches, need analyses and training programs. SESHOME is created to support the education of children with disabilities; particularly of those who continue to homeschooling because their disabilities inhibit their attendance to mainstream schools or special education schools. Project partners analyzed the current economic, social, psychological and educational circumstances of home-schooled children, their teachers and parents in partner countries Turkey, Italy, Poland and Slovenia; create innovative, comprehensive and accurate training modules for them; create an e-learning platform and supportive IT materials so as to bring class environment to the children's home and eliminate the gap between children in mainstream schools and children at homeschooling; create academic essay(s) in order to ensure the intervention of academics into the field and implement pilot training with results of the project in partner countries. Project target groups are students with special needs at homeschooling, their teachers and family members primarily; all people with disabilities and special education institutions secondly; and academics, local and national policy makers, students that work on individuals with special needs and non-disabled students. The number of teacher respondents was 28 in Italy (27:Woman 1:Male), Poland 48 (40:W 8:M), Slovenia 11 (10:W 1:M), Turkey 29 (20:W 9:M). The number of parent respondents was 24 in Italy, Poland 34 Slovenia 10, Turkey 15. A total of 89 participants, 35 in Turkey, 21 in Italy, 21 in Poland and 12 in Slovenia, received training through online applications. Multiplier Events KYOEML (face to face on 24.06.2021/Ankara - 80 participants) DOST(face to face on 02.08.2021/Ankara - 72 participants) Maribor University (face to face on 01.07.2021/Maribor- 20 participants) WSEI (face to face on 17.06.2021/Lublin- 20 participants) Online Multiplier Event - Europole : 108 registered participants,8 intellectual outputs are created and 5 multiplier events (seminars and workshops) are organized in 4 partner countries. Output-1. The Needs Analysis; done with questionnaires. There has been questions aims to learn current situation, needs, demands and expectations of disabled children, their teachers and parents. Questions about economic, social and psychological circumstances of these children and parents, regulations in that country on disability rights and expectations of these people about additional facilities, educational issues and what they need and demand for better implementation of homeschooling. The number of teacher respondents was 28 in Italy (27:Woman 1:Male), Poland 48 (40:W 8:M), Slovenia 11 (10:W 1:M), Turkey 29 (20:W 9:M). The number of parent respondents was 24 in Italy, Poland 34 Slovenia 10, Turkey 15. IO2. Education Modules; addresses educational needs of children with disabilities, their parents and teachers. There are 2 modules prepared. IO3. Online Interaction and Learning Platform, consists of supportive online material of an e-learning interactive way, enables to have access to a large variety of training resources, contents of lessons in the syllabus of the school. The Online Interaction and Learning Platform is developed. The address is www.seshome.net. IO4. IT Materials; contains all types of visual and textual information; knowledge and all types of resources concerning the educational syllabuses of disabled students which is uploaded and embedded into the Online Learning Platform. IO5. An Academic Essay was prepared with a broad literature analysis. IO6. Testing and Analyzing Study. IO7. Implementation of Training Modules. All the partners have implemented training modules in their home countries to home-schooled children. They introduced these IT materials (training modules) to students at online learning platform. A total of 89 participants, 35 in Turkey, 21 in Italy, 21 in Poland and 12 in Slovenia, received training through online applications. IO8. Dissemination & Valorization Materials are prepared. Impact of Project:• Improving the accessibility of learning opportunities for disabled children.• Improving the rate of success of education of disabled children• Increased awareness of children with disabilities about the opportunities offered by digital technology in response to their special needs• Making the society be aware of the disabled children and their parents.• Challenges traditional education systems by introducing more innovative programs and delivery methods. A total of 89 participants, 35 in Turkey, 21 in Italy, 21 in Poland and 12 in Slovenia, received training through online applications. • Development of international cooperation and increasing internationalization of education.

    "According to the statistics, in Turkey, 6.9 % of all population has some kind of disabilities. Number of persons with disabilities in Turkey is approximately 5,575,926 (TUIK, 2017). The ratio of persons with disabilities to the total population in partner countries (WHO Library Cataloguing-in-Publication Data World report on disability 2011) in Lithuania, approximately 8 % (280,000 persons) in Hungary, approximately 5.3 % (490,578 persons) and in United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland approximately 7.1 % (3,763,000 persons). Therefore, over 10 million people are potential indirect beneficiaries of the activities of the project. Parents who have children with special needs and disability faces problems of social isolation, exposure to discrimination, lack of skills in coping with disability issues, lack of social support as well as problems like rejecting the disability and poor life dissatisfaction. The project focused on solving these problems. The overall aim of ""We are not Alone-WeNA"" project was enhancing ""life satisfaction and subjective well-being"" of families of individuals with special needs and developing of their skills in coping with ""difficulties of life"". Parents who have children with special needs and disability gained; 1- Acceptance of disability, 2- Creating susceptive attitudes towards one self, be attentive to oneself 3- Improve coping skills, 4- Improving social self sufficiency, 5- Improving life satisfaction and humor skills, 6- Improving emotional regulation and emotional stability with the help of the ""Subjective Well Being Education Programme and Materials"" prepared under the project. Target groups of the project were parents who had children with special needs and disability and professionals, teachers and psychological councilors. Project Outputs were; 1) Subjective Well Being Education Programme and Materials (available in TR, EN, HU, LT). 2) Personal Experiences Stories (available in TR, EN, HU, LT). 3) Creative Drama/Form Theatre Performance (available in TR, EN, HU, LT) 4) Teacher/Specialist Training Guide (available in TR, EN, HU, LT) There were four learning / teaching / training activites in project in each partners' country. The focus of the activities were to improving subjective well-being and life satisfaction of parents with special needs individuals, develop competence-based skills as well as develop cognitive and affective awareness and being aware of common human experiences and feelings. The project were implemented through a strategic partnership between 7 organisations from 4 European countries: Turkey, Hungary, Lithuiana and United Kingdom. All partners provided services to adults and have experience in working with disabled people and in producing multimedia educational or informative materials."
