Schools from Lithuania, Germany, France and Slovakia wanted to be joint partners in a project with a scientific background. OneNeeds analysis revealed different competence deficits at different schools: The use of ICT tools for teachers and students in learning processes were insufficient and therefore this was the focus of attention and took the current development into account. The development of digital media is taking rapidly, leaving a large gap for use in educational contexts.Second, there was a great lack of knowledge about the production and preservation of food in all schools. The families use more and more non homemade food and they have easy access to a wide variety in supermarkets without thinking about where the food is coming.In addition, the awareness of the need for good language skills for communication between international partners in universities and companies and especially English as the language of science also for the publication of research results and cooperation between was too little for researchers.From this position, the partners derived various goals to fill these gaps:- Promotion of the acquisition of skills and competencies- Increase digital skills for the educational environment and create innovative learning methods- Performance of experiments on food preservation- Research of the cultural heritage and traditions in relation to preservation of food- Development of language skills, in particular the scientificVocabulary for communication and collaborationStudents aged 15/16 years participated in various activities:- conducting scientific experiments, using mobile technologies (tablets, smartphones), exploring the cultural, historical and culinary heritage with field trips, collaboration in the eTwinning Twinspace, creation of online presentations, storytelling and cards, quizzes and posters. The students were made aware that they can use their own food products such as herb mixes, cheese, cucumbers or salty be able to produce herb. By learning how to use their hands and heads, they became more self-confident and proud of what they had produced themselves. Also they learned and used the scientific terminology. In this way, the students were better prepared for the choice of their future profession, also in European context, prepared. For the teachers, this meant professional development in the use of innovative digital media, a refreshing of the use of foreign languages and an expansion of their teaching methods, especially through experimentation. The longer term benefits showed also in the application of the acquired skills in their own lessons.Pupils were better prepared for a life with digital skills, they can better look after their health and well-being and have gained valuable experience in working with other students. This also had effects and benefits in the cancellation of the last meeting in Berlin in March 2020 due to Corona. Thus, digital media, which had previously been used for were used. In the same way, communication between teachers was increasingly taking place digitally, which was also used for further training and competence development of the teachers.

The motivation of this project was the continuing debate on waste management in our countries and the alarming data about waste management that the EU officially published.From the total amount of waste in the EU, only a limited share was recycled, and the rest was landfilled or burned, of which some 600 million tons could be recycled or reused. In addition, we noticed that despite the continuous discussion about recycling or waste reduction, most of our students struggle to adapt sustainable habits in everyday life. In today's society, environmental issues are becoming increasingly important. Moreover, technology has changed the lives of our children in ways that promote the overconsumption that increase the generated waste with materials that usually are harmful to the environment and rarely are recycled.The aim of the project is to focus on ways to make our students adopt a more sustainable life, learn how to reduce their waste within the school, their home, the local community and in general in their everyday life. The goal is to sensitize young people to maintain the environment and become aware of the problem of waste management. As a result of these, we would promote active citizenship. The partnership will be built based on the EU’s “waste hierarchy” and all the activities will focus on that hierarchy and the “R” rule. We will use art as a common factor in our activities to approach the subject to our students. Finally, the project will foster the development of social and intercultural competencies of our students.We will support new approaches to reduce disparities in access to digital technologies in formal and non-formal education. Throughout the project, participants will use ICT as a working tool. By using and sharing new technologies we will have the opportunity to reduce disparities in access to digital technologies.There are five schools in the partnership. Some of the partner schools have worked together on previous projects (Greek, Lithuanian and Polish) and others met during different Erasmus+ KA1 courses (Greek, Portuguese and Spanish). The project is addressed to secondary school students, aged 13-17.Our methodology is based on sharing our good practices with each other in an international environment. Teachers and students from each partner school will present a problem, a weakness in a transnational training event and the host school will demonstrate how they are approaching that problem. After each transnational event, the host schools will receive feedback on their good practice and use this information to complete a useful guideline for other schools that face a similar problem. The project will provide good practices to sustain quality education at the participating schools. We will organize various activities for students to carry out together with the students from other countries both at their own schools and at the training events of the partner schools. During these activities, the participants’ ICT, social and communication skills will be improved.In the course of the five transnational training events, students will experience different aspects of our project. Each transnational training event will focus on one “R” of the “waste hierarchy”, starting from the “Reduce” at the first event, following by the order that is placed in the hierarchy. It is important that we will keep the order of the subjects (“Rs”) as it is introduced in the latest EU initiative. Our students will work methodically on the project following the problem of waste management in a logical order. All of our students will do their research between the meetings regarding each meeting's main topic.All the activities will focus on students using art as an expression of what they learned. In Greece, participants will make a photo exhibition and create a visual museum, in Lithuania will make a fashion show by their production of used refurbished clothes, in Portugal will make art from ocean trash and create a sculpture, in Poland will make a film for recycling (writing a screenplay, acting, recording) and in Span will express themselves via music and writing songs.We will have a website which will be available in the future so it can be used by the partners later on. At the end of the project, we will collect all the good practices used in the partnership in a guide which will be available online.The project is meant to have a lasting impact on each of the schools, through the actions of the different environmental groups created and through the awareness campaigns created after each event. Besides we will create some dedicated days when campaigns/actions will be held after the project is finished.

<< Background >>The covid-19 pandemic process has affected all parts of our life ;social life ,education life,economic life,law ,collaboration,business life ,family life etc.We are sure that our life will never be like as we had in the past. It has changed our priorities too.The new EU Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027) outlines the European Commission’s vision for high-quality, inclusive and accessible digital education in Europe.We can see that our piorities and EU priorities are the same. It is highlighted the need to unlock the potential of digital technologies for learning and teaching and to develop digital skills for all.Education and training are key for personal fulfilment,social cohesion,economic growth and innovation.They are also a critical building block for a fairer and more sustainable Europe. Raising the quality and inclusiveness of education and training systems and the provision of digital skills for all during the digital and green transitions is of strategic importance for the EU.We have had studies and surveys in our schools .Our teachers,students,families and organizations have the following troubles and problems that we want to overcome and continue the education in every unexpected situations.Our problems /troubles; -accessing the technolgy (teachers,students)- communicaiton among teachers,students,families and school administrators-improving digital competences,preparing content and using the digital materials(teachers)- transforming learning content and assessment into distance education- motivating students to participate in the lessons,reaching them and their access to the facilities offered by schools- preparing digital tools according to lessons and needs- using the digital tools to help students mental health and pyscilogical problems-helping students how to develop their skills(healthy communication, cooperation, leadership, critical thinking,risk taking, teamwork, respect, self-confidence, etc.)- digital ethics and security-making digitally accurate and reliable measurement,assessment and evaluation-ensuring continuity of education under all conditions(Schools)All schools and organizations have a risk management plan but this covid-19 process has proved that we do not know how to manage the risk successfully.So we need to share good practises and adopt them into our schools and organizations. We have had online discussions with partners and one of our most important problem is about social discrimination and risk of social exclusion.During the Covid-19 process,teachers families and school guidance teachers have problems to realize the students who are in this group.Because we have not enough experience and knowledge how to find out these students using dgital learning materialsThe families have problems and don’t know what to do during the pandemic process.They have had difficulty in accessing the correct and reliable informnaiton about education.They need to be informed regularly.They also need to be educatied how to help their children about their personal development.The universities needs more surveys and researches to findout what the new ducation plan /methods and curriculum will be.They need to be in the real area ,see the activities and results .So they can suggest the best waysto overcome these problems and troubles.<< Objectives >>In this project our aims are to improve teachers,students digital competences and make them ready and successful in both distance and hybrid ecucation.We also want to decrease the social discrimination and exclusion risk .We want to achieve --to increase the digital competence of our teachers(from 48% to at least 60%) (designing courses in digital environment,preparing distance learning materials(from 34% to at least 50%),using ready-made materials according to their purpose,providing digital ethics and security,using digital learning materials for students' personal skills,using digital learning materials to assess and evaluate -to improve teachers’ skills about using digital educational materials to make the students more social,and support their mental health- to increase the readiness of our institutions in risk situations(55% to atleast 70%)-to help students especially disadvantaged students to get benefit from digital education(45% at least 70%),to reduce the risks of social exclusion and improve their digital competence (at least 50 %)-to increase students’ digital competences;accessing the online lessons,joining the lessons,using digitral learning materials,- to improve the language competence of the participants,to learn and respect other cultures, thus helping to create a common EU-to increase the communication among students,families, teachers and school administrators -to increase institutional capacity; increasing collaboration among schools and organizations in EU level,learning others’ educational programmes and getting good practices,modernising their systems -(for university)to have records on the subject,and use these records to prepare new digital materials especially to protect and strengthen the students mental health;help teachers to create their own digital learning materials-to be more conscious about environmental issues;all stakeholders will care about using ecolabeled and eco-friendly products, we want to raise awareness about environmental problems ,and they will behave more consciously -(PR1)Project Result 1- Website and e-material ;These website and e-book will be about our most common troubles and problems about distance learning.The websie will have parts;WEB 2.0 tools,preparing digital learning materials, digital ethic and security, digital assessment and evaluation,and guideline for teachers ,families and local people. "Our project ""Our landscape. Our home. Our school"" is based on exchanging ideas and methodology of outdoor teaching. For some years our school teachers have organized different outdoor activities as a part of formal and informal educational process. These efforts to use outdoor learning methods haven't been constant and haven't been summarized and the system of using these activities and methods in curricular and extracurricular activities has not been created yet. This project could help to summarize and create methodological descriptions and recommendations how, where and when to use outdoor teaching methods for different European schools. Project partners would organize workshops, meetings, seminars, try to use outdoor methods in educational process. The aim of the project is to integrate outdoor education and learning to education system as well as to share experiences in the European perspective. The participants are:- Joniškis ""Aušros"" gymnasium is the coordinator. We have old and profound educational traditions in our region. We have come up with the idea of the project because outdoor learning is used at our school and we would like to share experience with other European schools.- Kerimbey Orta Okulu from Turkey. Partner school tries to develop and improve their education and social activity opportunities provided to students and young people by following all new technologies and best pedagogical, cultural and social methods.- Obchodni akademie Dr. Edvarda Benese. Partner from Czech Republic. This school has participated in the project with other our region school.- IES David Bujan from Spain focuses on helping students to acquire basic abilities in life.- Zespol Szkol w Kobylance is school from rural area of Poland. Teachers are looking for innovative teaching methods and would like to share experience.Methodology: - group work, team building, cooperative learning, work with text, discussions, workshops, work with ICT, task-based learning, sharing personal experience.Project results:- Set of methodological recommendations for using outdoor learning.- Project website.- Outdoor learning tracking created.- Final meeting conference for teachers.- We also expect an improvement in the language abilities of the participants.- New methods and activities will be incorporated in school curricula.- Project Photobook published.Impact of the project:Teachers will acquire new teaching methods and new skills teaching outdoors, will be able to prepare teaching material for outdoor education, use new teaching tools, modern technologies.Students will rise their learning motivation, will improve their communication and organizational skills, will learn and explore their environment and will acquire the new skills in practice.Schools will be able to cooperate and to collaborate which will allow and motivate new aims organizing new activities to solve educational problems, will get more attractive in local community."
