Vico,Zespol Szkol Ogolnoksztalcacych w Bobowej,LIceul''Gheorghe Tatarescu''Funder: European Commission Project Code: 2019-1-PL01-KA229-064957Funder Contribution: 96,720 EUR""" Art is in the air"" is a project written for 4 European art schools: 3 High Schools of Fine Arts from Poland, Bulgaria, Romania and 1 art school from Italy. We have chosen a group of 16-17 year old students from each school. Our main aim is to show, through workshops and meetings with practitioners, well known graduates of our schools, people working in advertising agencies, painters, designers, that the graduate of an art school has got a wide range of possibilities to find a good job, also for further artistic development, to earn money and work for a living from his passion. Our goal is to help our graduates from 4 countries enter the labour market and to show them their opportunities. We hope their motivation will grow and they will be looking for various solutions. The aim of the project is also to show them various possibilities, so that they will not quit school, which sadly happens quite often. The next goal is to improve the knowledge of the English language. English will be the language of communication and we pay special attention to the fact that our graduates, who may live and work in any part of Europe or even the world, should be developing and practising the language through meetings with our partners.Learning enterpreneurship is the next aim. The graduate of an art school, who will soon access the labour market, will have to be able to start running his own company and do business, to make a working plan and to achieve his goals. These are the practical things he will be taught during our meetings with practitioners, local artists, people working in advertising agencies and other people who successfully run their own companies. During the project we plan one meeting at every school. After each mobility the participants will be putting photos, films, all materials for a mini guide for younger students, which will help, first of all, the students taking part in a project successfully choose their way of life and their future career and later will be the material to run lessons and workshops for younger students of our schools. Every participant will be able to search this information and the results of these meetings. We also plan that the students taking part in a project will have presentations of all this information on English lessons. This will lead to developing the knowledge of the English language so needed in contemporary Europe. Besides the artistic development, our students ought to develop socially. During our 4 meetings we are planning various activities such as photography, serigraphy, murals, iconography and sculpture workshops. Each of our schools has got a distinctive specialisation, that the others do not have, for example the school from Bulgaria has got a very well equipped room for serigraphy and the school from Poland runs very good photo workshops. We wish to share this knowledge with our partners. Our further activities are regular meetings at every school with people working in advertising agencies, painters, sculptors, designers. We plan to have meetings with active and well known visual artists presenting their works in their own country and abroad, curators, gallery owners, members of associations and foundations connected with art. The goals of the project will be reached when the participants gain the belief that they will find their own place at a job market and will choose a job connected with art. Also, when they take a decision to choose further artistic education as a student of the Academy of Fine Arts or they will start their career at an advertising agency, as a fashion designer, car designer, photographer in local media, the designer of games and similar jobs. The aim of the project will be reached when the students gain more self confidence, overcome their lack of motivation, lack of faith in their own abilities, shyness and language barrier. Our students might be working in every European counrty and we are sure this openness gained during the project, the ability to see a different artistic point of view, improving the knowlegde of the English language will definitely help them. After finishing Erasmus + project, every school plans to run similar meetings and workshops with people connected with art. We are also up to use our lesson plans made by groups of our students and supervised by teachers, to run by students and teachers workshops for younger students of our schools and also for students finishing our local primary schools in our towns. Before the Visitors' Day, every year in spring, we are planning to go to primary schools in our towns to promote schools and at the same time to show the results of the project and our publication showing well known artists from 4 countries and the second publication which will be the works of all our students taking part in the project."

In the continuity of the ""Journées d'Evariste"" - thematic days organised since 2016 at the end of the year by the coordinating high school and its sector colleges - the 6 partner schools cooperated around the organisation of the Water Day, during the 1st year of the project, then the Earth Day, during the 2nd year of the project (even if this last Day could not take place because of the sanitary crisis). 5 physical mobilities took place, as well as one virtual mobility. In total, just over 100 students and 50 teachers and staff participated in the physical mobilities; 35 students and 15 teachers in the virtual mobility; about 300 local participants, all mobilities combined. More pupils should have participated in the physical mobilities, as the last two were cancelled due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Our project included as many pupils with difficulties or fewer opportunities as possible. The universal themes selected, Water and Earth, have made it possible to make our pupils aware of the major issues of the 21st century, which are new challenges for education. By becoming aware that water is a precious and endangered resource, our students have begun to become actors in the protection of our Earth, thus inscribing our project in the 17 sustainable development objectives of the United Nations. The environmental and ecological theme was therefore at the heart of our project, however a multidisciplinary approach was proposed, so that the pupils also discovered water and earth as sources of artistic inspiration. In this way, the pupils were able to develop their ecological and civic awareness, but also to increase their general, scientific, literary and artistic culture and to work on their creativity. The activities planned between mobilities were very varied: publication of newsletters and 4 issues of the project magazine; work on different films (feature films and reports) on ecology, environment, water and earth (screenings, debates, writing articles...). ); production of models; drawing and tree photo competitions; solidarity and planet protection actions, such as sorting and recycling workshops, cleaning of streets, beaches, national parks, cork collection, tree planting activity... At the end of the first year of the project, the Water Day, organised during the same week in each establishment, allowed to highlight all these productions and achievements. On the same principle, Earth Day, finally cancelled, should have brought together all the partners in May 2020.All these non-mobility activities made it possible to include many pupils, not all of whom had the opportunity to take part in a mobility. The mobility programmes were particularly rich and varied. Participants discovered the culture, heritage and traditions of the host region or country, as well as the education system. They visited cities, monuments, museums, often in the form of treasure hunts organised by the host institution. They discovered landscapes and explored natural areas. Ecological, scientific or artistic workshops, organised around water or land, were led by students, teachers or external speakers. The participants developed a number of skills through the Water Day & Earth Day project: cultural, social, linguistic, digital, artistic, communication and teamwork skills. They understood the importance of preserving our planet, especially since the health crisis which has made our project more necessary today than ever. They have met and got to know young people from other European countries, made friends, confronted differences, which has enriched them and made them more open and tolerant. They also learned the value of commitment, a sense of responsibility, and the need to see a project through to completion despite the circumstances and obstacles, because it is with teamwork that we were able to overcome the difficulties to see the project through to completion. In the longer term, lasting links have been forged between teachers, pupils and schools, consolidating and strengthening the European and international openness of each of the partners. All our productions, all our results have been shared on a public TwinSpace, on the project's social networks (Facebook and Instagram), on the sites of the partner schools, as well as on the European platform of Erasmus+ results."
