metaCCAZE accelerates the user-centred deployment of smart systems and services that combine electric automated and connected mobility and related infrastructure across European cities. metaCCAZE organizes a series of MetaDesign activities with multisector-stakeholders and different population groups to develop metadesigned shared zero-emission mobility use cases, collaborative business and governance models. A toolkit called MetaInnovations, is developed consisting of six main smart technologies (1. Align: grid supply-fleet-demand; 2. Harmonise: AI-Datawarehouse; 3. Charge: inductive automated charging; 4. Automate: i. remote control center, ii. Advanced Driver Assistance System; iii. 5. Connect: V2X protocols; 6. Manage & Operate: i. electric vehicle scheduling and demand; 6. Digital twin optimisation). MetaInnovations are pioneered in passenger and freight services (public transport, on-demand mini buses, bike sharing, deliveries) and related infrastructure (mobility and logistics hubs, traffic management centres, charging infrastructure) and widely demonstrated in 4 trailblazer cities (Amsterdam, Munich, Limassol, Tampere). Successful use cases, MetaInnovations and MetaServices are transferred, implemented and demonstrated in 6 follower cities (Athens, Krakow, Gonzo, Milan, Miskolc, Paris region). Demonstrations are monitored to ensure that their impact aligns with the MISSION and SUMP/SULP targets, and that the society embrace them. The MetaSkills Hub is developed and utilizes the lessons learned to deliver a series of cross-sectorial interactive training courses. The MetaPolicy Package is developed to contribute to updates of urban and transport policies and feed the strategic research and innovation agendas (SRIA) of CCAM, 2ZERO and other initiatives. metaCCAZE is a project, and an initiative to transition cities to the green metamobility era that the Green Deal, 2ZERO, CCAM, Mission and other EU partnerships envisage by 2030 and beyond.

periASTY envisions fostering the integration of peri-urban areas’ transition towards climate neutrality by advancing and developing mobility, energy, industry, and governance-related net zero technologies and business models. A suite of innovations, the periInnovations, is designed to host technological and non-technological solutions. The periInnovations suite offers four groups of innovations: 1. periMOBILITY aims to reduce car dependency in peri-urban areas (active modes, multimodality, mobility services); 2. periENERGY concentrates efforts on reducing emissions and promoting sustainable energy sources (energy system demand, energy charging hubs, renewable local energy communities); 3. periINDUSTRY focuses on reducing GHG emissions, improving efficiency in industrial operations, and promoting a circular economy and reuse (urban mining, circular economy, local green deals, waste management); 4. periGOVERNANCE supports governance, planning, and decision-making (governance framework for functional urban areas (FUA) digital twins, AI-based data warehouse) and builds capacity among local authorities and stakeholders on implementing climate-neutral concepts, integrated planning, and attracting investments/funding (periSKILLS Academy). The periInnovations are integrated into real-life mobility, energy, and industry services, operations, and infrastructure, allowing the demonstration of the co-designed concepts in nine diverse Living Labs across peri-urban areas: Dublin, Limassol, Ljubljana, Marseille, Guimarães, Helmond, Kalamata, Sofia, and Sisslerfeld (Switzerland). periASTY is more than just a consortium; it is a transformative, Europe-wide initiative dedicated to accelerating the transition of peri-urban areas towards climate neutrality. By integrating sustainable mobility, energy, and industrial solutions, periASTY directly supports the objectives of the Green Deal, Mission Climate-Neutral, Smart Cities, and other EU partnerships for 2030.

URBAN-FLOW is a groundbreaking initiative designed to reshape urban spaces into sustainable, climate-neutral, and resilient environments. The project addresses key urban challenges such as limited public space, inefficient mobility and land use planning, suburban connectivity gaps, fragmented energy and mobility systems, and the need for inclusive, liveable urban areas. By integrating Local Digital Twins (LDTs) and Mobility Data Spaces (MDS), URBAN-FLOW enhances data-driven decision-making, enabling dynamic space management and participatory urban regeneration towards climate-neutral mobility, integrated energy, and resilient design. The project is demonstrated in three Lead Cities: Valencia (Spain), Florence (Italy), and Tampere (Finland), where innovative urban solutions will be tested. These solutions include dynamic curb-side management, multimodal transport optimization, and green infrastructure integration. The project also involves three Replicant Cities: Edinburgh (United Kingdom), Brussels (Belgium), and Pilsen (Czech Republic), ensuring the scalability and adaptability of the proposed measures across diverse urban contexts. URBAN-FLOW employs a systemic co-creation approach through City Living Labs (CLLs), engaging policymakers, citizens, and businesses in collaborative urban transformation. The project aligns with the European Green Deal and the Mission 100 Climate-Neutral Cities, driving policy-driven replication across European cities. By combining advanced digital tools, participatory governance, and climate resilience strategies, URBAN-FLOW seeks to create urban environments that enhance accessibility, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and improve the overall quality of life for residents. To maximise its footprint and its results uptake, the project leverages several city and climate related EU networks: ClimateKIC, EIT Urban Mobility, Open and Agile Smart Cities, Urban Technologies Alliance.

SHOW aims to support the migration path towards affective and persuasive sustainable urban transport, through technical solutions, business models and priority scenarios for impact assessment, by deploying shared, connected, cooperative, electrified fleets of autonomous vehicles in coordinated Public Transport (PT), Demand Responsive Transport (DRT), Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and Logistics as a Service (LaaS) operational chains in real-life urban demonstrations in 5 Mega, 6 Satellite and 3 Follower Pilots taking place in 20 cities across Europe. By deploying a fleet of 74 L4/L5 AVs of all types (buses, shuttles, pods, robo-taxis, automated cars connected with MaaS and cargo vehicles) and for all transport operators (passengers, cargo and mixed transport) in both dedicated lanes and mixed traffic, connected to a wide range of supporting infrastructure (5G, G5, IoT, etc.) and operating under traffic speeds ranging from 18 to over 50km/h, it aims to satisfy 7 UCs families and 22 single UCs; that together cover all urban automated mobility needs and wants of the stakeholders (i.e. as reported within SPACE initiative and in ERTRAC roadmap). Project pilots will last for 24 months, with real service seamless operation in each pilot site lasting at least 12 months and will transport with AV fleets over 1,500,000 passengers and 350,000 units of goods. Being the bigger and more holistic ever real life CCAV urban demonstration initiative, it is user led (by UITP) and realised by a Consortium of 77 Partners, 13 third parties, [terminating 9 partners and 6 third parties] and with the additional support of 60 stakeholders (connected through LoS, including major stakeholder Associations) and twinning actions with 11 organisations the US, S. Korea, Australia, China, Taiwan and Singapore.
