Both schools could observe a strongly decreasing number of pupils in the last years with their former exchange schools, who were willing to choose French or German as second foreign language or if they had chosen it, the willingness to participate in the existing exchange was missing. The Freiherr vom Stein School, which also has a secondary school branch, even found that more than a third of the pupils dropped out of French after eighth grade. This gave rise to the idea of making foreign languages and exchange more attractive with a project to counteract these phenomena. In cooperation with the art teachers, the French and German teachers then developed the project: Learning languages through art. In order to appeal to the students, street art was chosen, of which both cities in the immediate vicinity also have much to offer. This project pursues several goals at once. On the one hand, the schools hope to increase the pupils' motivation to learn the respective foreign language. Through constant communication in the foreign language, the language competence in the respective foreign language should be improved. By working with contemporary art, the pupils' interest in art in general is to be awakened and visits to museums and galleries are to be positively influenced. This project will involve 14 pupils each, together with one foreign language teacher and one art teacher from each of the two schools. The pupils will get to know each other in Paris, where they will also have their first experiences with the topic of street art. Different districts and galleries will be visited, admired and a collage will be created together. Thus Vitry-SUR-Seine, the Street Art city offers house corners, an electric pole or a lamppost, creations of all kinds. Or the centre of Paris, from the Halles district to the home of Serge Gainsbourg, where the walls of the city centre serve as a playground for artists. These visits should give the pupils a first impression and motivate them to exchange impressions and feelings with their exchange partner in the foreign language. In addition, the pupils will discover 150 works by artists in the first museum of French urban art, Art 42, accompanied by a guide. With these experiences and impressions we will continue together in Bordeaux. Here a joint tour of the city of Bordeaux will take place under the guidance of Magnetic ArtLab. The students' attention will be drawn to fresco and graffiti. In addition, the gallery Le M.U.R will be visited with the purpose of making a video report about the street art scene in Bordeaux in French and German. This can then be shown in both countries as a result. On another day, a workshop will be held in Bègles, in a former factory, in order to design a certain part of the schoolyard with the acquired knowledge. These findings and results will then be compared with street art in Germany. A visit to the Naxos workshops in Frankfurt is planned. There the participation in workshops will be organized. Students can work in groups with their exchange partners to spray canvases, which can be rolled up and taken along. With the knowledge acquired there and in France, the joint design of a wall on the school grounds is on the agenda. Here too, joint communication, exchange and social skills are very important. In order to inform the school community about what has been done, an exhibition in the school or in an extracurricular place, e.g. a savings bank or in the town hall of the community is planned. For this purpose the pupils should design a flyer for the exhibition, which should be trilingual, in German-French-English and with photos and pictures selected by the pupils. We expect an intensive cooperation and examination of the foreign languages and an increased motivation to engage in art. We also hope for a long-term enhancement of the foreign language and the exchange.

The aim is to build a fire brigade robot remotely controlled and programmed to extinguish flames on a given course.Within the framework of this EPI, we have engaged the eTwinning partnership, named Eurobots 3.0, between the Gaston Jollet College and the Spanish School of Spain, the Instituto de Educación Secundaria (IES) Banús, Cerdanyola del Vallès (Catalonia). The students, from age 14 to age 16, from both institutions will be mixed and will form international teams, each of them will develop their own firefighting robot. The challenge of this project is to show students that the skills acquired are not local, but well anchored in a European and digital context that legitimize the learning of modern languages and digital tools to exchange, communicate, create and produce.Indeed, in a globalization context, this project, which will allow students to participate in an international team to develop a robot (editing, programming, modeling and manufacturing of parts to customize it), appears as an excellent opportunity to acquire useful and sought-after skills (individual path of information, orientation and discovery of the economic and professional world).Students will discover, during the work in international teams, the interest and importance of mastering a foreign language to communicate with teammates. Our ambition is for our students to master ""generic"" digital tools, such as creating slideshows or videos, using videoconferencing or the exchange platform (twinspace) as well as the use of digital design and production tools such as digital modeling, 3D printing, digital control production, Android application creation and robot programming. This digital component is complemented by media and Internet education so that they can use digital tools in a reasoned, secure and convenient way.The desired result is to allow all students to enter into written and / or oral communication in a foreign language, including with foreign partners. The project will require upgrading of Spanish language skills and adaptability to the speakers. This project combining work in international teams in Spanish and robotics activities corresponds to innovating practices anchored in the digital age and favoring a coherent approach of teaching and learning Spanish language. In addition to the two main objectives stated, the project is also part of the future and citizen paths. We think that it is important to give meaning to school learning by matching the skills developed and trades using them. This opening towards the world of the company must help the pupils to build their orientation course but also to show them that the skills developed are used in different countries. This is why it is envisaged during the mobilities to make visits of companies but also places of training. In addition to media education and the reasoned use of digital tools, the organization of project work in international teams contributes to the training of the citizen and will be an opportunity for students to cooperate, to exchange their point of view and argue."

Its funding by ERASMUS + has enabled it to go beyond virtual exchanges, by allowing it to meet real students and teachers. The collaborative work has increased the sensitivity towards European citizenship and the prevention of harassment due to the work in international teams to carry out the different activities via the eTwinning platform. The use of a multidisciplinary pedagogy has led the teams to promote multiple, material, collective and quantifiable achievements through the practice of digital technology in an innovative way (forums, emails, chats, videoconferences, videos, etc.) and the promotion of a coherent learning of the Spanish language which was the language of communication between the participating partners.School bullying has been worked on in the different centers with the help of specialists:- In France, with the support of the Principal Education Advisor, the nurse and the social worker, in order to work on inclusion.- In Spain, with the interview with the Civil Guard, the visit to the Navarre Ministry of Education with the ""Laguntza"" program against bullying at school.- In Germany, internal workshops were organized for 7th grade students, and among the various theater workshops, one of the most popular was the one against harassment and discrimination, in which a group of refugee students was involved. from Syria and Afghanistan. Mobilizing students in the fight against bullying made them actors through their participation in various events (national poster competition against bullying, international day against bullying) which reinforced their civic engagement. In the second year we wanted to go further and we worked on ""the difference"" (one of the priorities of the EU), where the pupils reflected, debated and mobilized against the different forms of discrimination and strengthened their citizenship. European by their actions and achievements in various competitions: Hippocrene Prize for Education in Europe, Prize for the best Virtual Mobility ...In particular, we should underline the inclusive participation of all pupils: in Germany pupils with disabilities were able to participate and in France pupils from the Localized Unit for School Inclusion were an integral part of the project. In addition, this project, which is also part of the PEAC (Artistic and Cultural Education Plan), has offered our students, who live in small towns far from the main cultural structures, an international opening thanks to eTwinning and Erasmus. +, as well as a greater openness to others."
