In the recent years, the Vietnamese public authorities raised the need to provide information on labour market in combination with the actual human resources produced by the universities, as a priority for the governance of the higher education in Vietnam. In this framework, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam (MOET) has started to consider the tracer study of universities/ and colleges as a core priority for developing the higher education sector in the country. Since 2017 tertiary education institutions are asked to provide MOET with information on the employment condition of their graduates, yet the existent graduates tracking studies suffer inconsistency of contents and scatter methodology. The MOTIVE project, supported and inspired by MOET, aims at ensuring that the Vietnamese HE system address the challenging of reform policy implementation on graduates tracking by monitoring their transition towards the labour market as well as their employment situation, through the set-up of the first National Center for Graduate Tracking in Vietnam. Thanks to the set-up of the Center, the first graduates employment situation survey of the Vietnamese Graduates, developed on a unique methodology and tools, will be run, supported by the network of stakeholders to be set up during the Project. Capacity building activities, namely trainings and workshop addressed to Vietnamese universities staff, on how to manage and exploit graduates data for survey release and on how to support the policy reform of HE system, stays as a pillar of the initiative. The impact envisaged is to modernize the Higher Education sector by promoting an informative based approach to policy reform. The sustainable tools and methodologies develop within the initiative will help to evaluate, monitor and compare the success of higher education graduates, measure the effects of policies and assess the attainment of benchmarks and goals.

EQUAMBI is designed to address Quality Assurance management to properly support the governance and decision making required for institutional advancement and enhancement. Based on a comparative exploration of current activities and planned objectives, against international best practice, this Project will provide a ‘benchmarking toolkit’ and a programme of capacity building / dissemination will provide guidance for Indian universities on how best to improve / enhance their governance and management of ‘quality’. Whilst underpinned by agreement on the shared bases and principles for ‘quality’, the project is targeted at three specific and critical areas: teaching and learning; research and innovation; internationalisation.

VitaGlobal brings together university partners and networks from diverse regions (Europe, Georgia, South America and South Africa) interested in contributing to local development by building joint study programmes in agricultural science science and, specifically, vitiviniculture, which are of strategic economic importance to their countries and regions. The project willbuild capacity to develop joint programmes in vitiviniculture and oenology at the masters level, which is seen as a means to internationalise and integrate curricula, widen mobility opportunities for students and staff and ultimately internationalise the university contribution to local development. Work groups looking at specific expertise from each partner in the viticulture sector will develop study modules, in collaboration with local industry partners, which will be piloted in existing programmes of partner universities. Multi-lateral knowledge transfer and training events will be provided to teaching and administrative staff of partner universities, to generate teaching and administrative capacity in joint programmes. A diverse international network of higher education institutions with a common interest to contribute to local development and a shared commitment to agri-science, vitiviniculture and oenology will be an outcome, which will sustain collaborative activities after the project.

Higher education (HE) in Morocco is regulated by statute with the state, through the Ministry, responsible for the planning, organisation, development, regulation and guidance of the system. Moroccan HE has been undergoing a process of reform for some years with recent publications indicating a rising awareness of the need to accelerate those that are more closely linked to the needs of the country, it students and its employers. A significant step was taken in 2014 with Law no 80-12 setting out the establishment of the Agence National d’Evaluation et d’Assurance Qualité de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche scientifique (ANEAQ). The ANEAQ will be taking a leading role in the implementation of the activities. The project will address a national priority by bringing together leading actors, experienced in the latest developments in national (and international) QA systems for HE, with the Moroccan authorities and universities. The Project will guide the development of a QA ‘tool kit’ to support policies and procedures relevant to Morocco. Amongst the deliverables, the project will establish a Code of Practice for the Management of QA, which will be used by the universities and by the Agency in its evaluations of the effectiveness and efficiency of university Quality Assurance systems. The project will play a major role in more closely aligning Moroccan HE with some of the most successful aspects of the European Bologna Process and thus contribute to enhancing recognition, mobility and internationalisation.
