Representatives of partner organizations are willing to share their common passion for new technologies and conduct a project useful for society. Every project group is unique, brings added value to the project. We are planning four internal trainings that will enforce the diversity of good practices among partner organisations. The project goal is the creation of a workshops scenario for adult learners based on the idea of the Internet of Things. The project is innovative as we are going to use a simple educational tool TUNIOT for teaching low-skilled individuals about programming and the Internet. As educators promoting non-formal learning approach, we put a priority on learning by doing approach. Workshops’ participants will program an Internet board by themselves, create a simple electronic system and calibrate the device. The topic of the workshops (and the Internet of Things) refers to everyday issues, which is why we are counting on positive reception within our target group. 'An intelligent plant' will be made during the workshops, that can communicate its need of watering to the user, utilizing a humidity sensor and an Internet board. We want to implement the project in purpose of popularizing non-formal learning approach and equalising differences in the access to adult learning opportunities as well as differences between generations. We believe that the access to diversified learning tools for adults in our countries is still not adequate. Free access to the completed educational tool and workshops scenario can partially change this status quo. The project is divided into two stages: design of the tool and workshops’ scenario, as well as dissemination of the results of our work. We start working on the results with internal trainings which will allow us to construct the final product of good quality. In the first year three Transnational Project Meetings are planned. During the meetings we will not only intensively work on the results but also monitor the progress of current actions. We want to develop and translate the tool for programming learning and create a workshop scenario that includes the use of our educational tool. In the second year each of the partners will lead at least one long-term workshop for a group disadvantaged in the field of technology. Our goal is to promote good practise of teaching adults, especially those in marginalised areas - municipalities located far from large cities. In order to increase the size of the target group, the prepared materials will be posted as an Open Educational Resource on European educational platforms in five languages: English, Polish, Arabic, Italian and Spanish. The result of our work will be the creation of an innovative educational tool, as well as a gain of valuable experience in the field of international projects management and the key competences. As the project outcome, we can expect the increase of elderly people’s digital competences and in the long term a higher number of individuals interested in new technologies.

The aim is to encourage and improve entrepreneurship and employment of women from vulnerable groups and / or rural areas through training in the use and use of technological tools and services. In addition to this training to the educated, the project also seeks to train trainers and workers in the field of adult education, so that not only handle such tools, but at the same time, will be able to promote their use and expose their advantages. This project will also make visible the technological leadership of gender, promoting an accurate image of the innovative and entrepreneurial capacities of women. On the other hand, this project is based on an idea that is already underway in Spain at the national level, the InnovadorasTIC project, which can now grow and extend its reach, taking this proven methodology to other countries and women, achieving fruitful results. international contacts between beneficiaries and organizations, which will promote European culture, the exchange of ideas, experiences and knowledge, and solidarity between countries. Finally, the project fits in with the Sustainable Development Goals, and especially with objectives 5, 8 and 10. In particular, goal 5 (Achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls) is the axis in around which the whole idea orbits, seeking to reduce the gender gap in the use and access to new information technologies. This only emphasizes the need for the project to be conceived transnationally, to help alleviate a gap, that of gender, which is presented transversally, and which coexists with inequalities of another type between territories. At the same time, work at European and international level allows improving management skills, cooperation between entities from different countries and promoting the integration and adaptation of various educational practices.

The platform will allow individuals, collectives, institutions, companies or Administration to: (1) propose new challenges oriented to solve specific sustainability issues; (2) invite individuals or organizations to participate with innovative ideas that solve these issues; (3) collectively select and implement the most promising ideas. SOCRATIC will also implement a Global Observatory on Sustainability Challenges with a double objective: (1) Measuring the impact of SOCRATIC actions on Global Sustainability Challenges by monitoring social networks, (2) Using the data about Global Sustainability Challenges gathered in social media as a source of information to launch challenges in the SOCRATIC platform. The SOCRATIC project has a deep user-centric approach, implementing gamification techniques to engage users in the sustained use of the platform. The project involves one European NGO (CiberVoluntarios) and a group of Young Social Innovators from the “Experts in Team” program of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU-EiT). Both collectives perform actions in different fields, but with a common tool, the use of IT to empower citizens and achieve specific sustainability goals. The pilots will be initially focused on three specific challenges: “Ensuring healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages (UN´s Goal 3)”, “Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all (UN’s Goal 4)”, and “Promoting sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all (UN’s Goal 8)”.
