Since bees, as number one pollinators in the world, are essential to the livelihood of the world, humans need to help them survive. We will do that by raising awareness, which includes non-formal programs for adults/seniors taking part in education. We will prepare a lesson plan for a 30-hour non-formal program for adults, for educators' usage.<< Implementation >>We will prepare questionnaires and surveys among educators and participants in non-formal programs and make detailed research on the topic. We will implement three teacher trainings in Slovakia, Italy and Slovenia to learn moreabout this topic, which will be the basis for lesson plan preparation. We will prepare lesson plan for a 30-hour non-formal program, which will include the topics of envirnomental sustainability, beekeeping and art. We will issue art calls on beekeeping and sustainability.<< Results >>The expected results are prepared, conducted and analyzed surveys among educators and adults. The second result is trained teachers/mentors on the chosen topic and prepared lesson plan that can be used by educators. And lastly the result is issued art call. Based on these results, it will go further to raising awareness among adults/elderly on the topic of our project. Actions will consist in joint model developing and testing, designing support proposals for adults with a low basic skills level, e.g. learning throughout whole life.Within this project we want to share our experience with other educators from cooperating organisations and learn good practices from them.Effects of our project will help the teachers/educators to conduct lessons in a way, which will enable adults with a low level of skills, knowledge and abilities to (depending on their needs):- achieve at least a minimal level of reading and writing skills, and mathematical reasoning (including counting);or- achieve broader set of skills, relevant for labour market and active participation in the society,Actions fulfilled in the project will be systematised according to three major steps: identification and valuation of acquired skills; preparation of an individual-oriented offer;validation and confirmation of acquired skills (effects of learning).Learning new methods and solutions for work organisation in Poland, Spain and Slovenia– countries different in terms of culture – as well as culture and tradition of those countries will contribute to enhancement of the level of knowledge and qualifications, and have an influence on the high quality of materials deigned by us.The final product of our project will be the guidebook containing good practices, effective methods, and interesting programmes of lessons and workshops, that promote the development of relevant and high quality skills and competences, especially those aimed at promoting employability and socio-educational and personal development, as well as participation in social and civic life and which will be available on our organisations’ websites and Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe (EPALE).Project partners will also distribute the results among their co-workers from the European sector of adult education.Enhancing educators’ competencies will be a valuable contribution to the European area of skills and qualifications. Its dimension will be local, domestic, and European, and its final recipients will be listeners of lower social chances, or the disabled people.

The 21st century is commonly identified with the constant development of new and modern technologies. Life increasingly requires openness to change and innovation. To keep up with change and continuous social integration, the idea of lifelong learning is more important than ever before. It is also important that the availability of IT devices is becoming easier and greater. However, a small number of seniors can handle new technologies efficiently. That is why our main goals were- Increasing the number of elderly using innovations (Internet, ICT devices, printers etc.) in daily life,- Enhancing the senior participation in activities connected with new technologies & decreasing their fear about using Internet,-Introduce, develop &promote innovative methods&tools in training by supporting personalized learning approaches for seniors, ICT in an accessible way for seniors,- Enhance professional development and increase quality&range of training for people active in elderly education by offering new competencies&ability to work with a diverse group, especially seniors,-Foster equality&inclusion in education&training, to enable quality learning, promote active participation of elderly in the society-Promote intergenerational integration by exchanging crucial experience &skills of these groups and increasing cooperation among these groups: young teach elderly & vice versa and promote youth participation in the adult education-Exchange of best practices of partners organization in senior education The Senior NewTech project was a response to the needs and helped create a beneficial, international environment for the joint creation of the SNT program and implement all objectives. At the beginning, partners from 4 countries - Czech Republic, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia - shared their responsibilities and each chose a Senior New Tech course topic to work on - basic computer skills, information searching, online security, online shopping, online booking, online banking, social media. After the organized training in Lithuania, scenarios of classes on these topics were created for trainers of the elderly.During the project, we trained over 80 people 50+ in the use of new technologies, basic and safe computer and internet use.Seniors have gained knowledge about computer skills, safe internet surfing, online search, online shopping, online booking, using online banks, and using social media. The seniors got a certificate of completion of the course, training materials. A collection of all training topics was also created for seniors in the form of a Handbook. The Handbook is designed for learning basic computer skills - is written in plain and intelligible language, words and technological issues are explained, contains a lot of pictures and print screenshots of examples. The publication is available for everyone to download from the project website and EPALE website. In addition, several seniors conducted workshops for young people on 8 topics of forgotten skills:Crocheting, Cooking, Broidering, Herbalism, Knitting, Basic Tools using, Creative recycling and Folk and paper cutting. More than we expected people took part in these workshops - over 25 young people. Thanks to this part, seniors could develop additional skills, strengthen intergenerational exchange and feel constantly needed. Scenarios were also created for these workshops (also available online). Each partner promoted the project in the media, organized 2 multiplier events and sample trainings. A summarizing conference “New Approach to Senior Training” for over 90 invited guests was held in Poland at the end of the project in November 2019. Three transnational meetings took place during the project in Czech Republic, Slovenia and in Poland. In Lithuania, 16 participants attended Joint Staff training .The project encouraged many senior citizens to become familiar with the topic of new technologies. Thanks to trainings that took place under the project, we have increased the number of seniors using new technologies, operating the computer, actively using the Internet, communicating via the Internet. Seniors overcame the fear and fear of using the computer and use it in their daily activities. Thanks to the training that took place in Lithuania, appropriate practices and forms of work with older students were developed. Our trainers have developed trainers' skills, expanded the range of skills and methods in delivering the trainings to seniors, and learned new methods in teaching seniors. A common scenario template was developed that trainers could use during training. In addition, the trainers shared, and constantly share, the knowledge acquired during the training during various dissemination activities. Each organization plans to include training for people working with seniors on a permanent basis.
