Case studies show that retraining is required for workers to convert to an occupation and to upskilling which enable a person to fulfil an occupation mainly through an add-on of knowledge. Erasmus+ programme encompasses the whole range of learning: formal and informal learning, workplace learning, skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviour that people acquire in day-to-day experiences. Due to fast development of TIDS, there should be put more attention not only to mobility of labour but also to distinction between the formal qualifications that a person possesses, acquired from initial stage of their career and the skills and competencies developed through experience and on-the-job. The measure of TIDS market is rapidly growing the usage of plasterboard per capita in the country (e.g.RO-2,05m,PL-1,90m-data by Saint-Gobain Construction Products). The scope and goals of CertiVET project will try to addresses European priority of ECVET for transparency and recognition of learning outcomes and qualifications. It is focused on trainers in the construction industry who are specialized in technology of interior drywall systems. The main aim is to improve the obtained outcomes from the previous project LdV-TOI realised between 2011/12: Supporting system for nonformal and informal learning for low-skilled workers(2010-1-PL1-LEO05-11472) - SkillSup (www.skillsup.eu). The results of the project will be solutions that make self learning and improving skills easier in the workplace as well as enabling possible self-learning in convenient moment of time and will support the learners when performing vocational tasks. The project will be oriented to achieve the following main goals:- to perform extended studies and researches on training activities for TIDS domain qualifications in the partners countries, with the reuse the results obtained in the previous project - to create an effective set of competence standards for VET trainers in TIDS, based on this research and the cooperation between the experts from the partners countries and on the needs resulted from the labor market, - to elaborate a set of procedures for competence validation, based on solutions related to the ECVET system-to provide a set of software tools able to put in practice the procedures of competence validation and qualification previously created in the frame of the project-to integrate the work results in a consistent model of certification of qualification, that will be evaluated and certified in the partners countries.Necessity of acquiring new skills in the era of globalization and rapid technological changes are causing important shifts in labour markets and vocational education and training. European economies are undergoing substantial transformation. The strategy Europe2020 aims at achieving smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. This growth is intended to be driven by a set of engines: knowledge, innovation, greener and more efficient use of resources, higher employment combined with social and territorial cohesion. Demographic and cultural changes are contributing to the skills shortages therefore the Agenda for New Skills and Jobs aims to promote employment and reintegration into the labour market of workers made redundant through activation, retraining and skills upgrading measures. The training system for the construction industry is a part of the vocational education and training system. Continuing education and nonformal forms of learning and professional improvement prefer learning through practical experience. Many craftsmen and building workers need up-skilling. Existing qualification schemes, accreditation structures and training incentives are not covering competence standards for VET trainers. Moreover in many EU countries there is no legal acts describing the trainer’s competences. That is why the major goal in the partnership is to develop of the competence standard for the VET trainer in the construction sector, in line with the EQF, and focus on upgrading or establishing large-scale qualification and training schemes in order to increase the number of skilled VET trainers of construction sector. It's important to develop partnership between education and training providers, research institutions and cultural actors to support innovation and to increase employability and to make education and training more relevant to the world of work. The consortium consisted of education, industry and VET stakeholders will try to have impact on selected target group to increase the value of innovative solutions for improvement of VET trainers competencies in the construction sector.

As it was pointed out by the European Ministers of Vocational Education and Training in the Bruges Communiqué, WBL constitute a foundation for the social coherence of the current and future employees as well as the base for their professional and personal development. It is worth and important to include WBL into the strategic activities on the national and international levels. The renewed European agenda for adult learning also calls for promoting WBL, as a form of vocational education and training, which assure achievement of the aims of the Strategy ET 2020. Partnership of the project was properly selected and consist of 5 institutions from 4 countries: Poland (PL), Greece (EL), Italy (IT) and United Kingdom (UK). Partners have been chosen according to the project's aims and the expertise needed. They represent different culture and traditions of vocational education as well as assure geographical diversity of the partnership. The main aim of the project was to use good European practices, increase the availability and improve the quality of work-based learning, through skills development of mentors - experienced staff of companies assisting in obtaining necessary professional qualifications, taking care of trainees in the workplace, including the trainees participating in internships or apprenticeships in companies of the eco-industry. The mentor’s responsibility is to facilitate, stimulate and support the development of employees and prospective employees (interns, apprentices) by sharing their knowledge and professional skills, values and attitudes. In order to achieve the abovementioned aim, a system of certification of mentor’s competences was implemented. The system focused on the employees of eco-industry. Its implementation enabled: - Recognition of learning outcomes (non-formal and informal) of experienced eco-industry workers in the area of mentoring competencies necessary in the process of work-based training- Complementing employees’ professional competencies in eco-industry with mentoring competence enabling them to build a master-trainee relationship in the course of work-based learning- Enhancing the competencies of workers in the eco-industry resulting in the increase of their competitiveness in the labour market and the increase of employment opportunities (for the unemployed) or job keeping. The results of the project were aimed at different audiences, in particular: at vocational training institutions in the ""eco"" area of industry, teachers/trainers preparing for work in the eco-industry, employees in the eco-industry, institutions involved in the development, validation and certification of vocational qualifications and competencies, HR employees as well as professional and personal advisors.Main results of the project are:1) The standard of professional competences (SPC) for mentors of eco-industry which was based on the framework of general mentors' competences developed in CertiMenTu project. The competences of mentors were defined at level 5 of EQF. 2) Training programme for mentors which was developed based on the standard of professional competence (IO1) available in English and in the national languages of participating partners. 3) Blended learning VET course for mentors in eco-industry which was based on the developed VET programme. Τhe training course has been developed as blended learning course, melding face-to-face activities and a Moodle e-learning platform. All the materials are available in e-learning platform and the Trainers Handbooks. The e-learning platform is based on Moodle, an open source course management system (CMS). 4) Certification system for mentors in the eco-industry (your short part)5) Methodological and organizational compendium of ECVET system for mentors in eco-industry which gives an overview of the current state of progress of ECVET tool implementation and other systems available for recognition of competences among different EU states. The Compendium has been conceived as a practical guide on how to use the ECVET system in eco-industry. 6) The monograph summarizing the results of the project. The aim of this publication is to make the project results available, especially to VET experts dealing with formal and non-formal continuing education and to people who are or want to become mentors in eco-industry.All the results are available in 4 languages: English, Polish, Greek and Italian."

However, graduates of vocational schools have difficulty in obtaining employment in accordance with the learned profession. Countries have a variety of vocational training systems making it difficult for the employers in another country to understand skills and professional qualifications acquired in the graduate’s home country. There are no tools allowing for identification of professional skills and competences acquired by graduates in another country within the national vocational training system. Therefore, EU policy on vocational education focuses on the development of the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training. The aim is to provide easy recognition and understanding of the skills and qualifications (ECVET) on the labor market in Germany, Poland and Portugal based on the professions of an electrician and car mechanic. It is the key to a more effective transfer on the European labour market. An innovative approach is making a reference of the effects of national education systems (skills and vocational competences) to the needs and expectations of employers. Therefore, the project is strongly oriented at work environment. The partners in the project are intentionally matched partners having international experience in the areas of training, research and professional learning outcomes as well as needs of employers, the evaluation of the results and the creation of new solutions.Achieving this objective will be implemented by 5 actions:1. Preparing by the task teams the description of vocational training systems in Germany, Poland and Portugal, the comparative analysis between the national systems of education, obtaining qualifications and professional competence in school vocations of electrician and car mechanic.2. Conducting by task groups research on the needs and expectations of employers in Germany, Poland and Portugal on typical positions in the professions of electrician and car mechanic, a comparative analysis of the expected skills and professional competence on typical positions.3. Conducting research by an international team of comparative studies between the anticipated effects of formal education in the professions of electrician and car mechanic with regard to the expectations of employers. Based on the findings Model of Recognition of professional qualifications for their transfer to the European labor market will be developed.4. Testing by an international team of experts Model of Recognition of professional qualifications for the transfer of the European labor market in the professions of electrician and car mechanic by the following methods:- expert testing of the Model,- Consultations of the Model in the participating countries and collecting opinions and conclusions.Based on the results of testing the final version of the Model will be developed.5. Developing an open ICT tool containing the Model. The ICT tool is powered by data elaborated in the framework of the project for the professions of electrician and car mechanic. It will be possible to extend it to other professions. International task teams and teams of experts will be appointed by partners considering the substantive scope of the task and the necessary knowledge and competencies needed to achieve the planned results of operation. The final results of the project will be: - an open ICT tool with the contents of the Model of Recognition of professional qualifications for their transfer to the European labor market on the markets in Germany, Poland and Portugal - handbook for the independent use of the Model of Recognition of professional qualifications for the transfer on the European labor market in relation to other professions and selected labor markets The target groups are:- Public bodies responsible for education policies,- Entrepreneurs,- Institutions supporting the labor market,- Vocational schools, vocational training teachers, methodical consultants,- Individual development specialists. The project will have an impact on the increase of:- the increase of competence of the participants with regard to a greater understanding of the transfer of skills and competences in relation to the needs of entrepreneurs,- increasing the international dimension of the activities and the creation of new innovative ideas in the field of ECVET.- increasing the knowledge and awareness of the effects of training in different EU countries and the associated diverse skills and professional competences of graduates as future employees.Long-term benefits will be related to the fact that the partner organizations will create a network of cooperation partners accumulating their past experience on the follow-up to the European dimension of vocational education after completion of the project. The result ensuring sustainability of the project is the ICT tool, available on the internet.
