By 2020 India will need more than 60,000 designers in a 2.47 billion euros market. Progress to enhance design education is not uniform across institutions. Modern convergence of technology, design thinking, user-centred and experience design demand collaborative trans and inter/multi-disciplinary approaches to curriculum evolution. Bonds between industry and HEIs must be strong by growing collaborations for new product development, internships, joint projects and other educational and research activities. This project aims at establishing innovation capacities in the design sector of India through improved education built on transfer of good practices and curriculum content from the EU. It will establish 3 equipped Design & Innovation Centres in local universities. These will provide common ground, with industry, for (a) developing innovative and permanent methods for Research and Design approaches (b) establishing cross-sectoral projects for collaboration and co-learning, (c) establishing Inter-industry projects to facilitate the inclusion of design thinking approaches, (d) deploying extreme affordability principles, (e) developing community-based programs enabling designers, craftsmen and artisans, (f) modernization and internationalization of Indian HEIs by improving product and service design courses, following state of the art methodologies in design thinking, sustainability, social innovation, ethics etc.DESINNO seeks proliferation of similar centres in India and promotion of research and design projects by creating a permanent research innovation and training network and virtual tools. HEIs, researchers, students and industry are expected to benefit the most. The industry will gain access to modern value adding technologies, methodologies and highly trained professionals leading to drastic improvements of Indian Design for the benefit of the economy and society.

The state of affairs for people with intellectual disabilities is that their full social inclusion active citizenship are not yet a reality, but future challenges. The policies to remove physical barriers have not been extended to the overcoming of mental barriers. This is also true in sport and physical activities. Access to and participation in sport and physical education provide an opportunity to experience social inclusion for people otherwise marginalized by social, cultural or religious barriers caused by disability or other forms of discrimination. Through sport, individuals experience equality, freedom and a dignifying means for empowerment. Sport is a unique life-changing vehicle for young people with intellectual disabilities, facing many challenges with traditional educational environments and traditional pathways to full inclusion. The INSIDes project aims at promoting participation in sport and physical activities for young people with intellectual disabilities (G.O.) by developing socio-professional competences, technical and soft skills of youth workers and trainers through 1 innovative model integrating non-formal learning, peer-learning, virtual learning and mobility in the field of Sport and Physical Activities addressed to young people(S.O.).5 Partners from EU/non-EU countries (IT, GR, BR, SI, TR) are involved in project implementation that foresees a preparatory phase in which research and analysis activities will offer a contribution to the State of Art on existing international practices in the field of sport and physical activities for young people with disabilities. Research results will be included training materials, methods and tools delivered during the project – then available as OER in the Platform, as an element for project sustainability – with the view to offering high quality capacity building activities at the core of the project. Capacity buildings for youth workers and trainers will combine:- Virtual Learning programme, mainly inspired by the socio-psycho-pedagogical discipline ""Globality of Languages"" (GdL) - by Stefania Guerra Lisi. - Youth workers and trainers exchanges to achieve competences, soft and technical skills in the field of Sport&IDs, based on non-formal activities and peer-learning laboratories.Networking – Roundtables and National Events – and Communication and Dissemination activities will be implemented to present the INSIDes model for further exploitation at institutional/non institutional level and to enhance long-term cooperation in the field of Sport and young people with intellectual disabilities among Yoth Organisations, Public Authorities and enterprises."

The footwear sector operates with two types of companies: companies producing and exporting part of product work and companies producing and exporting the whole product. Five types of business models are known: M (Make); CM (Cut and Make); CMT (Cut Make and Trim); FP (Full Package) and OB (Own Brand). Regarding the Albanian consumer the need for footwear is fulfilled mainly by imported footwear products. Meantime there is a growing number of the companies operating in footwear sector that have shift their business model to Full Package. This change of business model has pointed out the need for qualified workforce from the companies and the data collected from surveys depict the lack of qualified working force. Gaining digital skills should be sustained by footwear companies. All this is accompanied by urgent needs of advanced methods of digital design and production. The Digi4Wearables project will develop an innovative training methodology using emerging and inclusive practices and tools to improve the knowledge of workers in footwear companies in Albania on digital manufacturing. The Digi4Wearables Educational package will consist of:•Website with online material structured in thematic sections.•Videos and reports with guidelines, informative material and best design/manufacturing practices.•Course materials divided in seminars according to the thematic topic.Digi4Wearables’ actions of virtual training and physical training workshops/seminars that will take place in Portugal, Albania and Romania will bring designers, product developers and managers, technicians, trainers and other stakeholders together. Moreover, these digital tools will sustain the sustainable way of production as an emerging need required for every company, in order to reduce the negative impact on the environment.
