"<< Background >>Marginalized social groups are the ones that mean the biggest social and labour market problem in Europe and all over the world. Those especially staying in a marginal position are the people living in extreme poverty, the people living in extreme poverty, people having low scholar qualification, and people, who come from unemployed families of several generations. They are characterized by a long persisting economic and social crisis that still entails deterioration of their social relationships and personal abilities, lack of vision for the future, and total lack of motivation. In 2019, 92.4 million people in the EU-27 were at risk of poverty or social exclusion; this was equivalent to 21.1 % of the EU-27 population.Year 2020 presented a new challenge to the world. Territorial and personal quarantines introduced for the protection against coronavirus, the restriction of mobility of people, the reduction of possibilities of further exposure have made a serious impact on the economy in each of the countries of Europe, but in practice, globally as well. The situation has adversely affected the lives of people living on the margins of society. Marginalized social groups will not be able to represent their interests in the mitigation of economic crisis caused by the virus; they will be the ones, who will get from a hopeless situation to an even more hopeless one. Therefore, every effort needs to be made to promote their social inclusion, in particular by involving them in the non-formal learning process using innovative solutions. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there have been changes in education, employment but also in the required skills. The sustainability of economy can only be ensured by active participation in social life, the right lifestyle and acquiring the necessary skills for life and labour market in the 21st century. It is essential that disadvantaged and vulnerable groups can also participate in addressing the issues of their future by utilizing their skills, knowledge and competences.Global, transnational solutions have to be sought, because isolated solutions staying within the borders of the country will be less efficient. This is the situation, when it is really necessary that we learn from each other, that we use human resources of each other, and that we apply innovative solutions. The aim of the project is to motivate disadvantaged social groups, to increase their chances for a widest possible range of social inclusion.Main target groups of the project are:-Disadvantaged groups on the labour market (low-income working groups, marginalized groups, groups without regular income)-Vulnerable groups (e.g. persons who for some reason do not have financial security for quality life, social benefit recipients, people living in deep poverty, long-term unemployed, multi-generational unemployed people) Main objectives of the project are:-Prevention: Partners will prevent disadvantaged and vulnerable group of the threat of social exclusion.-Education: training all target groups with by educational, sociological and psychological training modules and motivational videos.-Developing personalities, life and labour market skills for the 21st century among disadvantaged and vulnerable group. -Motivation: engaging disadvantaged and vulnerable group in motivational activities aimed at increasing the social adaptability of the target group. As many as 75% of children and adolescents report experiencing some sort of peer victimization, researchers estimate, with 10 to 15% experiencing more severe and prolonged victimization. It has been suggested that the mental health of schoolchildren can be undermined by repeated bullying at school and further exacerbated by having inadequate social support (Rigby, 2000). Researches has indicated that being peer victimized is associated with emotional distress, anxiety, and depression (Kochenderfer-Ladd & Wardrop, 2001). So, peer victimization and bullying (PVB) is one of the biggest problems that affects psychological and sociological well-being of students in their school times and future. Mediators and Peacemakers against Peer Victimization (MEPEV) project, as its name implies, has been created for developing long-term and sustainable solutions for PVB in schools by educating some students as peacemakers and negotiators. MEPEV project is innovative since it use peer-mediating in solving the problem. MEPEV primarily aims to transform the disagreements among middle school students into peace by means of mediator and negotiator peers, before they turn their disagreements into conflicts/violence. Secondarily, MEPEV aims to * support personal and social development of young people, providing opportunities to show their potential,* encourage young people to work together on a common purpose, * encourage young people's participation in democratic life and active citizenship awareness, Target groups of MEPEV are secondary school students, other students, families of students and teachers.Project partners were selected among the best alternatives by prioritizing schools, training centers, education related departments of universities, youth clubs etc. and experienced partners. Main working fields and countries of partners were also regarded secondarily. So, partners were selected as 1 local government authority, 1 university and 1 non-profit association from Turkey; 1 vocational high school, 1 association and 1 universty from Italy, Austria and Slovenia. Project coordinator and partners will use Project Management Institute's PMBok® Guidelines for effective project management. Particularly, time and budget management, risk and quality management and dissemination strategies management will be implemented by pursuing these globally accepted guidelines. Partners will prepare progress and financial reports in each 3 months, quality report in each 6 month during the project period. These will be done for time, budget and quality management. Moreover, an independent external expert evaluator will be subcontracted for evaluating the quality of all project outputs and activities.MEPEV is an innovative Project since it proposes to create peer-mediating solutions against PVB problem and since it will use new types of training materials in PVB education such as e-learning platform and educational games. MEPEV is also complementary to other Works and projects of the partners since all of the partners are working in education field and have some programs for bullying at schools. Specifically, ITT has a Erasmus+ Project in which they explore psychological affects of PVB and AMEM is a local government authority in education field which has substantial curricula and plans against PVB.Partners will do their best for ensuring optimum level of communication and cooperation among themselves. They will hold transnational meetings 5 times in 4 partner countries. They will use all media channels for uninterrupted communication such as e-mail group, telephone, Whatsapp, Skype, Twitter, Facebook and the Project website. Within the scope of MEPEV, partners will 1- analyze best practices in the World, 2- create effective training modules for students and teachers, 3- implement these modules to some number of students and teachers in selected schools, 4- produce peacemaking and mediating handbooks for students and teachers5- create an e-learning platform and conduct test trainings of it6- create an educational game and conduct test trainings of it7- create some academic publications and publish them in peer-reviewed journals8- organize 2 conferences in Turkey and 1 workshop in each of Austria, Slovenia and Italy. In order to increase the impact of MEPEV, partners will use all dissemination instruments like the Project website, TV and newspaper news, leaflets, posters, workshops, academic journals, Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp etc. All partners will also use their connections in their locations and enhance the impact of the Project. Project website, e-learning platform and educational game will be accessible for 5 years. Furthermore, MEPEV results will be transferred to public and private schools curricula by using appropriate channels and maximum local public participation will be ensured for long-term sustainability of MEPEV project.

The world has accelerated, information cannot be observed, everything is automatized when the child finalises the school, the profession he studies stop to exist, borders between countries are slowly wipe away and a large global society is resulting where we need to find existence mainly employment. Added to these facts was the biggest challenge of 2020 - the corona crisis. Its effects are difficult to model and estimate, but a strategy focused on the future is needed that takes into account direct operational effects, including secondary and tertiary ones. The corona crisis also highlighted the importance of lifelong learning for teachers, who had to respond flexibly to the created conditions and find appropriate solutions in the teaching process for the benefit of pupils (e.g. online teaching).According to Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS) 2018 Conceptual Framework, even though teachers are participating in in-service/further training, they still feel like they need more training in the field of those skills and competencies for education required for 21st century, such as teaching of cross-curricular skills, using of ICT teaching and teaching in multicultural environment or multilingual settings. In each partner country, teachers use online teaching tools to different degrees and at different levels. In addition to the lack of digital competences of teachers, the partnership identified the most common problems: different access to the Internet, different ability to manage online communication, different technical and human barriers to using computer and online space at a specific time, different motivation, different family background (sense of security), family climate, age-appropriate communication, missing or harmful interaction of children in peer groups, school as a space for children to escape from problems in the family, underestimation of home education by parents. The individual school systems in the European countries and also in Turkey are different, so the great importance has international cooperation of actors from different sectors, exchange of experiences, finding examples of good practice in the current constantly changing period in the field of online pedagogical methods. At the same time, it is important to deal with the exchange of experiences in the field of solving problems arising as a result of the corona crisis.Main objectives:- Support and development of cross-sectoral international cooperation among universities, schools and counseling and educational services for adults, creation of virtual partner networks- Developing teachers' digital competencies in accordance with the requirements of today's constantly changing period- Increase the use of digital technology in primary schools with adequate teaching and learning materials to be able to improve students' learning potentials. - Support lifelong learning of teachersIn order to reach the objectives above, partners will- exchange of good practices and experiences from partner countries and from EU- organize 6 DIGI-SCHOOL workshops in partner countries with relevant stakeholders in order to share collected good experiences from the international environment- organize 6 DIGI-SCHOOL trainings to increase digital skills of teachers- create a communication platform for networking and exchange of good practices- create DIGI-SCHOOL E-Brochure - collection of 26 best practices from EU and Turkey- realize dissemination activities in all partner countries via social networks, leaflets, newslettersTarget groups of the project Direct target groups:- Teachers of primary schools, lecturers, professors, mentors, tutorsIndirect target groups:- Universities- Primary and secondary schools- Pupils/Students- Parents of pupils - Training institutions who providing training for teachers- Parents - Consulting organisations in the field of school education- Partner organizations- Professional organisations for teachers, umbrella organisationsThe project involves 7 partners; 3 universities, 1 non-profit association and 1 primary school from Turkey; 1 primary school from the UK and 1 association from Slovakia. Partners were selected with respect to their experience, types of organization, excellence of the staff and main working field.Partners will hold project meetings 5 times in 4 partner countries.Partners will implement an effective dissemination strategy from start to end with all types of dissemination instruments. So as to ensure the long-term efficiency of the project, partners will involve the community as much as possible to project events, involve local government institutions, schools and umbrella organisations in the project process, institutionalize communication platform, and continue running it even after the project and create innovative project products.
